Private jet charter to Netherlands
Private Jets UK flies clients from Britain into the Netherlands, where the useful airport is more often Rotterdam than Schiphol, and where the difference between the two is measured on the road rather than in the air. Our customers have access to 6500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. For 15 years of successful work, we have established partnerships with the world’s largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you the most favorable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. The aircraft we put on Dutch routes sit mostly at Stansted, Biggin Hill and Luton, with several based at Rotterdam and Eindhoven that remove the positioning leg on a same-day booking.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in the Netherlands depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated based on the following data: departure from London Stansted Airport, a Citation M2, two passengers. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to the Netherlands?
The Netherlands is about an hour from London and the spread across the country is narrow. These are the figures gate to gate:
124 and 129 nautical miles, the shortest crossing we fly hereabout 50 minutes
156 nautical miles from Stansted and 178 from Lutonabout 55 minutes
169 nautical miles from Stansted and 191 from Lutonabout 1 h
215 nautical miles from Lutonabout 1 h 05 min
263 and 250 nautical milesabout 1 h 05 min
360 and 416 nautical miles1 h 20 to 1 h 30 min
The ground decides the day here, not the air
Every Dutch sector from London fits inside about an hour, so the aircraft class barely moves the arrival time. What moves it is the airport: Schiphol is slot coordinated and busy, Rotterdam is neither, and the drive at the far end differs by most of an hour depending on which one you land at. That is where a Dutch day is won or lost, and it is the first thing we work out rather than the last.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Two things worth knowing about these figures
– On a sector this short the ground margins matter more than the aircraft does, and Rotterdam wins on both of them: it is the nearer field to Britain and the nearer field to its own city;
– This is business flying rather than holiday flying. The pricing holds flat across the year and the traffic runs Monday to Thursday, with almost none of the summer spike that shapes the Mediterranean routes.
Private jet flights from the Netherlands across north-west Europe
The Randstad cities sit within half an hour of each other by train, so internal flying is a narrow business. What the Dutch fields are genuinely useful for is everything within an hour of them:

Two things worth knowing about these sectors
– Amsterdam to Rotterdam is forty-five kilometres, so we quote the helicopter for the schedule rather than the distance, and we will say plainly when the train is the better answer;
– The outward legs are the real business here. Brussels is thirty-five minutes and Frankfurt fifty, and those movements are where the empty legs on Benelux routes come from.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:
- Large jet (similar to Legacy 600) - from 5800 to 6800 EUR per flight hour;
- Business liners - from 12100 EUR per flight hour;
- Light jet - from 2500 to 3500 EUR per flight hour;
- Long-haul jet (similar to Global 5000, Gulfstream G550, Falcon 7X, etc.) - from 6800 to 10400 EUR per flight hour;
- Medium-sized jet (identical to Cessna Citation XLS+, Hawker 800XP, etc.) - from 3500 to 4400 EUR per flight hour;
- Turboprops - from 1000 EUR per flight hour.
- Large medium-class jet (similar to Challenger 300, etc.) - from 5400 to 6500 EUR per flight hour;
- Small jet, from 2000 to 2900 EUR per flight hour;

Also, we have prepared a table with the general prices of the most popular planes:

Private jets are ready to take off
Turboprops
For the internal legs and the short cross-border hops. On a sector of an hour or less they give up almost nothing to a jet and cost appreciably less.
Light jets
The volume class on Dutch routes. From London the flight is about an hour whatever you charter, so this is usually the sensible answer unless the party or the luggage says otherwise.
Super-midsize
Where a board travelling together lands and where the northern British departures settle. On this sector the cabin is bought for the meeting rather than for the flight.
Heavy jets
For a larger delegation and for the Scottish and Northern Irish departures. These sit comfortably at Schiphol, Rotterdam and Maastricht alike.
Ultra-long range
Seen at Schiphol, which is an intercontinental hub in its own right, and occasionally at Maastricht where the runways are long and the hours are generous.

Business aviation airports in the Netherlands
The Netherlands has a short list of fields and an unusually clear split between them: one very large airport that would rather have fewer private flights, and several smaller ones that are glad of the traffic. These are the fields a private jet from Britain actually lands at:
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Amsterdam Schiphol AMS / EHAM |
12 km to the centre | The main gateway and one of the busiest airports in Europe, with a dedicated business aviation terminal. Tightly slot coordinated, and the subject of a long-running argument about the future of private aviation on the field. Amsterdam is twenty minutes away |
| Rotterdam The Hague RTM / EHRD |
5 km to the centre | The practical choice for most of our Dutch bookings. Nearer to Britain than Schiphol, five kilometres from Rotterdam and inside the ring road, with a fraction of the slot pressure |
| Eindhoven EIN / EHEH |
7 km to the centre | The southern industrial and technology belt, and the field for the Brainport cluster. Eindhoven shares the runway with the air force, which shapes the available hours |
| Maastricht Aachen MST / EHBK |
9 km to Maastricht | The far south, on the German and Belgian borders, with long runways and freight hours. Useful for the Aachen and Liege corner as much as for Maastricht itself |
| Groningen Eelde GRQ / EHGG |
11 km to the centre | The north, and the arrival for Groningen, Friesland and the Wadden coast. Light and midsize types |
| Lelystad LEY / EHLE |
55 km to Amsterdam | Built to relieve Schiphol and still finding its role. It handles business aviation and sits closer to Amsterdam than the drive time suggests when the A6 is clear |
| Den Helder DHR / EHKD |
the northern tip | The North Sea helicopter base, working the offshore fields. Fixed-wing charter here is rare and usually connected to the energy business |
Where Schiphol actually stands, and why we quote Rotterdam first
Schiphol has spent several years trying to reduce private aviation on the field. It announced an intention to stop accepting private jets, alongside a night curfew and a cut in total movements, and the Dutch courts have since struck down more than one of the government decisions underpinning the wider package. The position has moved repeatedly and it has not settled. What we can tell you is what we do: we check the current rules before every Dutch quote rather than working from what was true last season, and unless a client specifically needs Schiphol we put the aircraft into Rotterdam, which is closer to Britain, closer to its own city centre and under no such pressure. If Schiphol is the right answer for your trip we will say so and arrange it. We would simply rather not build an itinerary on a policy that keeps changing.
Which airport for which part of the Netherlands
A private jet reaches every Dutch city from every Dutch field, so the choice comes down to minutes on the ground and to which airport wants the traffic. These are the pairings behind most of our Dutch bookings:
the diplomatic quarter and the international tribunals, and no realistic competition from SchipholRotterdam, 16 km
the largest port in Europe, and the airport sits inside the ring roadRotterdam, 5 km
the canals, the museums and the business district, twenty minutes from the apronSchiphol, 12 km
the chip and design cluster in the south, which is a different economy from the RandstadEindhoven, 7 km
Friesland and the islands, and the one corner the Randstad rail network does not serve quicklyGroningen, 11 km
The Hague is a Rotterdam trip, not an Amsterdam one
A large share of the business that brings British clients to the Netherlands is legal or diplomatic rather than commercial: the International Court of Justice, the arbitration institutions and the embassies all sit in The Hague. Almost everyone books Amsterdam for it out of habit, and then drives an hour. Rotterdam The Hague Airport is sixteen kilometres from the government district and carries the city in its name for a reason. If your meeting is in The Hague, that is the field, and the saving is most of an hour at each end of the day.
Three things that shape a Dutch booking
– Almost all of it is a day return, out in the morning and back the same evening, which puts the pressure on the departure slot rather than the arrival;
– Dutch rail is the best in Europe and we will say so when it beats us. Where the aircraft wins is a morning in the Randstad and an afternoon somewhere the train does not reach;
– Tulip season, the Formula One weekend at Zandvoort and the big Amsterdam conferences fill the aprons in a country with little spare parking. Those weeks want booking early.

Flying to the Netherlands with a dog or a cat
The Netherlands is among the simplest European countries for an animal travelling by private jet, and the crossing is short enough that most of them settle once and stay settled. The paperwork is the standard European set.
The one fact to read before you book
The Netherlands is a listed country, so coming home needs no rabies blood test and no waiting period. An Animal Health Certificate from an Official Veterinarian in Britain, dated within ten days of travel, covers the outbound leg and then stays valid for return journeys for six months. Dogs need a tapeworm treatment on the way back, given by a Dutch vet between one and five days before departure and recorded with the date and the product. Dutch practices are efficient and used to the paperwork, but on a two-night trip the window is tight enough that we book the appointment alongside the flight rather than leaving it to chance.
- An ISO-standard microchip, fitted before the rabies vaccination rather than after;
- Rabies vaccination at least 21 days old on the day you land, given when the animal was at least 12 weeks;
- An Animal Health Certificate dated no more than ten days before travel;
- Tapeworm treatment for dogs on the homeward leg only;
- Up to five animals per booking without commercial documentation.
Cats need the same list without the worming. What makes this easy in practice is the length of the flight: an hour from London leaves an animal little time to become unsettled. There is no hold and no weight limit either, so a large dog travels exactly as a small one does.
practices near Rotterdam and Amsterdam deal with charter clients regularly, and we book the return appointment with the flightnot on the field
short enough that the certificate is more work than the journeyabout 1 h
a temperate climate at both ends, unlike the southern routes in Augustrarely the constraint
which suits the client who travels to the same office every few weekssix months of return trips
Requirements for birds, rabbits and the less usual species, along with the countries where the timeline runs to months, are set out on our flying with pets guide.
Types of flights
Our company provides all types of business flights. Due to a wide variety of jets, we can arrange:
- private flights;
- corporate flights;
- business class flights;
- concert tours;
- medical flights (with doctors and special equipment on board);
- tourist flights for large and small groups;
- sports charters for teams and coaching staff;
- combined flights (partly by business jet, and partly by helicopter);
- exclusive flights on luxury jets for businessmen, celebrities, and politicians;
- cargo flights, etc.
A flexible approach and a wide experience allow us to solve problems of any complexity. In 90% of cases, we manage to arrange urgent flights (on the day of application). But to be sure, we recommend you send a request at least 2-5 days before the desired date of departure.

Empty Legs
Another way to fly cheaper is to use Empty Legs. This service allows you to save on regular charter rates. As you know, part of the flights is one-way (for example, when the passenger flies from England to the Netherlands). After the flight, the jet returns to its home base (for example, to London Farnborough airport) empty. Such flight is called “Empty Legs”. Empty leg flights can be as cheap as 50-75% off the standard charter price. This option is profitable for both the passengers and the charter companies. The clients can enjoy the services of business aviation at a very good price, while the airlines recoup part of the cost of fuel and jet maintenance.
It is almost impossible to find Empty Leg flights, as the information about them is stored in special databases available only to the aviation brokers and specialized companies. You should know that Empty Leg flights offer the same service as private jet charters. The passengers enjoy a 100% private jet flying experience. Services and flight conditions are discussed individually. We should note that our company cooperates with the world’s largest home bases, so we can offer our clients a wide choice of return flights. Just send a request to our manager who will help you find the best flight options. Please note that Empty Leg flights are sold out very quickly. To avoid such a problem, you can leave us a deposit, and we will contact you as soon as the flight of your choice becomes available. For additional information, check with the operators.
A selection of empty legs that have run on the Dutch routes recently. Dates are left off, since a leg lasts only until somebody claims it:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netherlands (Rotterdam) - UK (Norwich) | Cessna Citation Mustang | 4 seats | 1,800 EUR |
| UK (London Stansted) - Netherlands (Rotterdam) | Cessna Citation M2 | 7 seats | 2,200 EUR |
| Netherlands (Amsterdam) - UK (London Stansted) | Cessna Citation CJ3+ | 7 seats | 2,600 EUR |
| UK (London Farnborough) - Netherlands (Amsterdam) | Embraer Phenom 300E | 8 seats | 3,100 EUR |
| Netherlands (Amsterdam) - UK (Birmingham) | Bombardier Learjet 75 Liberty | 8 seats | 3,600 EUR |
| UK (Manchester) - Netherlands (Amsterdam) | Cessna Citation XLS+ | 9 seats | 4,000 EUR |
| Netherlands (Amsterdam) - UK (Newcastle) | Embraer Praetor 600 | 9 seats | 4,700 EUR |
| UK (Edinburgh) - Netherlands (Amsterdam) | Bombardier Challenger 350 | 9 seats | 5,700 EUR |
How to read those figures
– Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat. A Challenger 350 out of Edinburgh at 5,700 EUR carrying nine works out at a little over six hundred a head;
– Set each line beside the same class in the tables above. A Citation XLS+ into Amsterdam at 4,000 EUR against 9,900 for a fresh charter out of Manchester is the saving in plain terms;
– Dutch legs come up on weekdays rather than at weekends, because the traffic that creates them is corporate. A client who can move a meeting by a day sees considerably more of them.

Jet Sharing
Today, Jet Sharing is just as popular as private jet charter. This service involves the joint rental of a business jet with other passengers (that is, the cost of the flight is divided equally between all passengers of a specific flight). This type of flight has become especially popular in the last few years. Many people like Jet Sharing because it allows you to enjoy all benefits of business aviation at favorable prices.
We should note that the number of passengers per Jet Sharing flight varies from 3 to 8, while the cost of the flight ranges from 1400 to 7100 euros (depending on the destination). This way, you can get a comfortable flight on a business jet (and maybe even meet new business partners) at a very good price. You can check out the schedule of Jet Sharing flights by filling in the online form or contacting our operators by phone or WhatsApp.
Main advantages of this service:
- All privileges of business aviation, including the use of the business aviation terminal and the check-in 30 minutes before the flight, are retained;
- You can also use the services of the VIP Lounge (included in the price of the flight);
- No baggage restrictions;
- Affordable price: jet sharing is much cheaper than private jet charter;
- Pets can be carried directly in the aircraft cabin.
Our consultants will be happy to help you choose the best flight.

Helicopter charter
The Netherlands is flat, small and densely built, so alongside the private jet the helicopter here has a narrow job. It is bought for the schedule and for the offshore fields, not for terrain:
used when the schedule is tight rather than when the road is slowabout 10 minutes
and on the Formula One weekend it is the only sensible way inabout 15 minutes
the Randstad triangle, and the leg most often bought to link two meetings in a morningabout 20 minutes
the delta works and the southern islands, slow by road at the waterabout 25 minutes
the North Sea platforms, a specialist trade on its own aircraft and crews30 minutes and up
The machines that work these routes
– Airbus H125 and Bell 407, the light singles behind most corporate and city transfers;
– Airbus H145 twins, which Dutch operators favour because so much of the flying crosses water;
– Airbus H130 for a party of six where the leg runs beyond twenty minutes and cabin noise starts to matter.
Two points on Dutch rotary legs
– This is among the busiest and most tightly controlled airspace in Europe, so a landing site away from an airfield needs arranging days ahead rather than hours;
– Coastal wind rather than cloud is what stops a leg here, and the Zeeland and Wadden routes feel it well before the inland ones do.

Flight payment options
The main goal of our company is to provide the highest level of comfort to our customers. Therefore, we’re always ready to meet you halfway. Our consultants will offer you a wide variety of flights to meet your needs and budget. Most customers prefer a non-cash method (a transfer to an EU bank account), which guarantees a high level of confidentiality and security of payment. All payment details are provided in advance, so you’ll have enough time to make the necessary checks. For years of working in business aviation, our company has gained an impeccable reputation. We practice transparency and are always ready to present all necessary documents.
Private Jet UK works with both physical and legal entities. We guarantee the confidentiality and security of payments. You can pay for the flights from the Netherlands in any convenient way:
- cashless (by transfer to our account);
- by cash;
- by card;
- by cryptocurrency.
Our company works with European and British banks, which allows you to choose the most convenient payment method. In addition, we conclude formal agreements and provide our clients with all necessary documents and invoices, which guarantees the safe payment and delivery of services. If you have any financial questions, feel free to contact our private aviation consultants.
If you need to book an urgent flight, please keep in mind that the bank transfer can take a few days. In such situations, we may need to involve our partner companies so that you can pay for your flight in cash. If you have any questions, you can contact your personal consultant 24/7.

What our clients say about flying to the Netherlands
A few words from people who have made these trips with us. First names only, and the wording is theirs.
THE HAGUE
“Rotterdam, not Amsterdam, and it saved us an hour”
Stansted to Rotterdam · Citation M2 · Jonathan R.
“The whole process was seamless: booking easy, the aircraft in excellent condition, the crew professional, and we actually arrived ahead of schedule. Rotterdam is small and quick, and we were in The Hague twenty-five minutes after landing. Through Schiphol it would have been a different story altogether.”
THE SCHIPHOL QUESTION
“They explained it rather than guessing”
Farnborough to Amsterdam · Phenom 300E · Diana K.
“I arrived with a pile of preferences and questions, why Schiphol rather than Rotterdam, what about the slots, where does the aircraft park, and every one was laid out properly instead of guessed at or waved away. Every preference I had was handled brilliantly, including a couple of changes along the way.”
DAY RETURN
“Out at seven, back for dinner”
Stansted to Amsterdam · Citation CJ3+ · Michael T.
“I book for our CFO rather than flying myself. The team were very helpful in picking the right aircraft for his schedule and very quick to respond to any question or special request we had. The Amsterdam day returns now run without me chasing the details. We will certainly keep using them.”
THE TRAIN
“They told me to take the train”
enquiry only · Amsterdam to Rotterdam · Sarah W.
“I asked for a quote on Amsterdam to Rotterdam and was told: do not book it, take the Intercity Direct, on that sector the train beats any aircraft door to door. No pressure, no attempt to sell me something I did not need, just the options and the decision left with me. When I need a real flight, I know exactly who to call.”
EINDHOVEN
“The meeting was nowhere near Amsterdam”
Luton to Eindhoven · Phenom 300E · Robert A.
“We have worked with the same account manager for nearly two years, and his knowledge of our schedule has delivered more than twenty on-time departures and arrivals, all into Eindhoven, because the meetings are in the Brainport belt rather than Amsterdam. He is reachable at any hour and recently worked another minor miracle at a day’s notice.”
EMPTY LEG
“Home from Amsterdam at well under half”
Amsterdam to Newcastle · Praetor 600 · Fiona McL.
“We came home on an empty leg at well under half the usual rate. An empty leg is an unpredictable thing, the aircraft and the timing belong to somebody else’s routing, but with flexible dates it is the best way to try private flying for sensible money. We were flexible, and it paid off.”
Frequently asked questions about flying to the Netherlands
1How long does it take to fly to the Netherlands by private jet?
About an hour from London to Amsterdam or Rotterdam, and around fifty minutes from Norwich. From Manchester or Leeds allow an hour and five minutes, and from Edinburgh or Belfast about an hour and a half. It is one of the shortest international runs we operate.
2How much does a private jet to the Netherlands cost?
From about 4,300 EUR one way from Norwich to Rotterdam on a very light jet, and 5,400 EUR from Stansted. London to Amsterdam starts around 6,600 EUR, Manchester around 9,900 EUR and Edinburgh around 13,800 EUR. Onward legs from Amsterdam start at about 2,300 EUR.
3Can a private jet still land at Amsterdam Schiphol?
Schiphol has spent several years trying to reduce private aviation on the field, and the Dutch courts have struck down more than one of the government decisions behind the wider package of restrictions. The position has moved repeatedly. We check the current rules before every Dutch quote, and unless Schiphol is specifically needed we use Rotterdam instead.
4Which airport is best for The Hague?
Rotterdam The Hague Airport, at sixteen kilometres from the government district. Most clients book Amsterdam out of habit and then drive an hour. If the meeting is at the courts, the tribunals or an embassy, Rotterdam saves most of an hour at each end of the day.
5Is the train a better option than a private jet in the Netherlands?
Inside the country, often yes, and we will say so. Amsterdam to Rotterdam is twenty-six minutes by rail. Where the aircraft earns its place is the trip that starts in Britain, or a Dutch morning followed by an afternoon somewhere the train does not reach.
