Private Jet Charter to Thailand from the UK
Private Jets UK flies clients to Thailand from Britain and Europe, and on this route the paperwork starts earlier than almost anywhere else we operate. Our customers have access to 6500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. For 15 years of successful work, we have established partnerships with the world’s largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you the most favorable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Almost nothing capable of this sector is based in Thailand itself, so the aircraft comes from Europe, the Gulf or occasionally Singapore and goes home again afterwards. That shapes the price, the empty legs and the reason a return trip is worth booking as one job rather than two.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Thailand depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated based on the following data: departure from London Heathrow Airport, Embraer Legacy 600 Jet, two passengers. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Thailand?
Bangkok is a little over five thousand nautical miles from Britain, which puts it among the longest sectors we sell and firmly in ultra-long-range territory. Two cabins cover it comfortably in one leg. Everything else gets there with a technical stop in the Gulf or India, which adds roughly ninety minutes on the ground and needs planning rather than improvising:
| Route | Aircraft | Flying time | Routing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aberdeen - Bangkok 5,125 nm / 9,491 km |
Gulfstream G650ER | about 12 h 30 min | Nonstop |
| London - Bangkok 5,161 nm / 9,558 km |
Gulfstream G650ER | about 12 h 35 min | Nonstop |
| Edinburgh - Bangkok 5,186 nm / 9,604 km |
Bombardier Global 7500 | about 12 h 40 min | Nonstop |
| Farnborough - Bangkok 5,186 nm / 9,605 km |
Gulfstream G650ER | about 12 h 40 min | Nonstop |
| Manchester - Bangkok 5,200 nm / 9,630 km |
Bombardier Global 7500 | about 12 h 45 min | Nonstop |
| Belfast - Bangkok 5,304 nm / 9,822 km |
Bombardier Global 7500 | about 12 h 55 min | Nonstop |
| London - Bangkok 5,161 nm / 9,558 km |
Gulfstream G550 | about 14 h 10 min | One fuel stop |
| Birmingham - Bangkok 5,199 nm / 9,628 km |
Bombardier Global 6000 | about 14 h 15 min | One fuel stop |
Which aircraft genuinely make it without stopping
The Gulfstream G650ER and the Bombardier Global 7500 do this sector nonstop with a full cabin and reserves intact, which is why they carry most of the traffic despite the hourly rate. A G550 or a Falcon 8X manages it in the right conditions with a light load, and we check the loaded figures against your actual passenger and baggage count rather than the brochure range. Anything below that class flies with one planned stop, usually Dubai or a similar Gulf field, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as it is in the schedule from the outset. The routing also matters: the direct line to Bangkok crosses airspace that operators avoid, so the practical track runs further south than a map suggests and the figures above reflect that.

Prices for the private jet flights to Thailand
Recent trips from Britain, cheapest first. The island and northern destinations price above Bangkok because the aircraft flies further, not because the handling costs more.

Bangkok is a hub before it is a destination. The Thai islands are under an hour away, Cambodia and Vietnam barely more, and Singapore, Hong Kong and the Gulf all sit within comfortable reach. A large share of what we arrange is the leg out rather than the leg in:

The domestic half of that table is flown on Thai aircraft, not yours
The five domestic sectors in that table are closed to a foreign-registered jet. The rule is straightforward and enforced: an aircraft arriving from abroad cannot pick passengers up at one Thai point and set them down at another. So the cabin that brings you from London does not continue to Samui or Chiang Mai. Those legs go on Thai-registered aircraft, which we book alongside the international charter so the two halves work to one schedule. The international sectors are a different matter and can be flown on the same aircraft that brought you, provided the permit covers them.
Anywhere else in Southeast Asia is priced on the same basis. Where a trip runs Bangkok, an island, then onward to Singapore or the Gulf, give us the whole itinerary at the enquiry stage: on this route the permits are built around the schedule you file, and adding a leg later means starting parts of that process again.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! – the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6500 business jets (about 3500 in Europe and 3000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can’t post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. The following jets currently operate in Thailand:
The nonstop pair
Only two cabins cover five thousand miles with a full load and reserves intact. They cost more per hour and remove the fuel stop, the extra crew question and ninety minutes on the ground in the Gulf.
Marginal, with a light cabin
These reach Bangkok in one leg on a good day and need a stop on a bad one. We run the loaded numbers against your actual manifest before promising either way.
With a planned stop
Comfortable aircraft flown with one technical stop, usually in the Gulf. The lower hourly rate more than covers the extra time on the ground, provided it is in the plan from the start.
Inside Thailand
Domestic legs to the islands and the north are flown on Thai-registered aircraft, because the jet that brought you is not permitted to. Short sectors, modest cabins, booked as part of the same trip.
Business liners
For wedding parties, corporate groups and film units above twenty. On a twelve-hour night sector the case for beds rather than seats makes itself.

This is only a small part of the jets available. We can always send the chosen jet from the neighboring country or airport.

Business aviation airports in Thailand
Six airports handle almost all the private traffic we arrange in Thailand, and the first one surprises people: for business aviation the Bangkok field of choice is not the big international hub but the older airport north of it.
| Airport | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| Bangkok Don Mueang DMK / VTBD |
The private aviation airport for the capital and the one we use by default. Thailand’s first and still principal business aviation terminal is here, with its own customs and immigration, and it is closer to the centre than the international hub |
| Bangkok Suvarnabhumi BKK / VTBS |
The main international airport. Perfectly capable, and occasionally the right answer when a schedule demands it, but busier and without a dedicated private terminal of the same standard |
| Phuket HKT / VTSP |
The island gateway and the busiest leisure destination in the country. Prior permission is needed for parking, and in the high season that is the constraint rather than the slot |
| Koh Samui USM / VTSM |
Privately operated, compact, and restricted in the aircraft it takes. Worth checking type approval before anything is promised |
| Chiang Mai CNX / VTCC |
The north, the cultural circuit and the cool season. Handling is available through the same operator as Bangkok |
| U-Tapao UTP / VTBU |
East of Bangkok and the field serving Pattaya and the eastern seaboard. Also the usual answer when parking in the capital is tight |
Why Don Mueang rather than the international hub
The country’s first dedicated business aviation terminal sits at Don Mueang, and it remains the only facility of its kind in Thailand. It holds both of the international accreditations that matter for handling and safety, and it has been voted the best fixed base operation in Asia. The practical detail is what it contains: an executive lounge of around three thousand four hundred square feet that seats up to seventy, private meeting rooms, customs, immigration and security on site, a crew lounge with showers and rest facilities, four conference rooms and two hangars. Passengers off an international flight are moved from the aircraft to a waiting car within about thirty minutes. The same operator handles U-Tapao, Phuket, Samui, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai, which means one point of contact for an itinerary that touches several of them.

Permits: the longest lead times in Asia, and the order matters
Thailand asks for more notice than any other country on this site. The official lead time for a landing permit runs to around ten working days for a private flight and longer for a charter, with short-notice approval possible but entirely at the regulator’s discretion. The sequence is the part people get wrong: at Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi and U-Tapao the airport slot has to be secured before the permit application will even be processed, so the two cannot be run in parallel. The application itself needs a specific stated purpose, since a general description of business travel is not accepted, and a named contact in Thailand who should expect a telephone call. The regulator keeps short office hours on weekdays only. Once issued, a permit is good for about a day either side of the filed time, and a change of route, timing, airport or passenger numbers means applying again. None of this is difficult; all of it takes time, which is why we ask for firm dates on Thai bookings weeks before we would on a European one.
Two rules that shape the itinerary
– No domestic legs on a foreign aircraft. The jet that brings you cannot fly you on to Phuket, Samui or Chiang Mai. Those sectors go on Thai-registered aircraft, booked alongside;
– The same passengers who arrive should depart. Thailand pays attention to this, and a manifest that changes between the inbound and the outbound needs specific permission rather than a note to the handler.
Parking is the other thing to settle early. At Don Mueang and Phuket a prior permission is required for a stand rather than just for the landing, and in the high season that approval is the item most likely to shape the plan. Where it cannot be had, the aircraft drops you and repositions, often to U-Tapao, returning for the departure.
British passport holders can visit Thailand without a visa for a short stay, and on a private arrival passports are checked inside the business aviation terminal rather than in a hall. Longer stays and work purposes are a separate matter and worth confirming before departure.
Flying to Thailand with a dog or a cat
Thailand is easier on arrival than most long-haul destinations and harder on the way back, and it is worth understanding both halves before the dates are fixed. Going out, the country asks for less than Japan or Australia. Coming home to Britain is where the real timeline sits.
Do the blood test in Britain, before you leave
Thailand does not sit on the list of countries from which an animal returns to Great Britain under the simple rules. Started from scratch after arrival, the route home involves a rabies antibody test and then a three-month wait, which for a fortnight in Phuket is plainly unworkable. The way round it costs one appointment at home: have the sample drawn by your own vet before departure, keep the rabies cover unbroken, and the waiting period never applies. Owners who leave this until they are already in Bangkok are the ones who fly back without the dog.
The Thai side is comparatively straightforward, and notably lighter than the neighbouring countries in this part of Asia:
- An ISO-standard microchip, and the order matters: chip first, then the rabies vaccination. Reversed, the vaccination does not count and the clock restarts;
- A current rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel, together with the core vaccinations, recorded in the official book;
- An import permit from the Thai livestock authority, applied for no earlier than 60 days and no later than 7 days before departure. If the flight moves, the permit is reissued;
- An official veterinary health certificate issued within 10 days of arrival;
- No rabies antibody test is required on entry, and there are no breed restrictions, which is unusual for the region.
On quarantine, the honest position
The outcome turns on the paperwork and on the inspecting officer, who holds discretion to detain an animal for up to thirty days where documents are incomplete or a health concern arises. With a valid import permit, a correct microchip and vaccination sequence and a health certificate inside its window, animals are commonly inspected at the airport and released the same day. Because the decision rests with the authority rather than with us, our managers obtain the current position in writing for your specific route and dates before a booking is taken, and we build the schedule around what they confirm.
Three practical points
– Heat. Bangkok is hot and humid most of the year and brutal on the apron between March and May. For animals we schedule the arrival into the early morning or after dark and keep ground time to the formalities;
– The onward leg. If the trip continues to an island on a Thai aircraft, that operator has to agree to the dog separately. We settle it when the itinerary is priced rather than on the day;
– Leaving again. Export has its own paperwork through the same authority, usually handled in the days before the flight at the departure airport, and it has to line up with the certificate windows for Britain.
On board none of this affects the comfort: nothing travels in a hold, no weight limit applies, and twelve hours in a quiet cabin is far gentler than the same journey in freight. Requirements for other species, which in Thailand fall under separate licensing, are set out on our flying with pets guide.
Types of flights
A twelve-hour sector filters the brief, and what reaches us for Thailand divides fairly neatly:
- Family and group holidays, usually a fortnight and usually combining Bangkok with an island, which is the itinerary the cabotage rule affects most;
- Weddings and celebrations, which in Thailand run to large parties and long guest lists and are the most common reason we quote an airliner cabin;
- Corporate travel and regional tours, with Bangkok as one stop among Singapore, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City;
- Medical travel in both directions, given the standing of the Bangkok hospitals with international patients;
- Relocations and long stays, where the timeline is set by the animal paperwork rather than by anyone’s diary;
- Onward Asian itineraries, where Thailand is the arrival point and the trip continues into Cambodia, Vietnam or Indonesia.
The one thing they share is lead time. A European departure can often be put together in a matter of hours. Thailand runs on a different clock entirely: the landing permit alone is quoted in working days rather than hours, the airport slot must be secured before that application is even looked at, and the regulator is open on weekday mornings only. So the useful thing to send us is the date, as early as it exists. Passenger names and even aircraft type can be adjusted later; the calendar cannot.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a flight the aircraft has to make anyway, with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual figure. On a sector this expensive the saving is among the largest anywhere in our network, and the reason they exist here is structural.
Where they come from on this route
– Almost nothing ultra-long-range is based in Thailand. Every aircraft that arrives eventually leaves, and where parking is tight it leaves sooner than its passengers do;
– The winter season concentrates the traffic. Between November and March the flow from Europe is heavy in both directions, and westbound legs after a delivery are the useful ones;
– Regional repositioning. Aircraft moving between Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Gulf throw off short legs constantly, and those are cheap enough to be worth watching even if the long sector is not.
Discounts run from about half to three quarters of a fresh charter, which on a hundred-thousand-euro sector is a serious figure. What you surrender is control of the date and often the hour, and a leg disappears when the original booking shifts. On a route where permits are filed around a fixed schedule that risk is higher than usual, so we treat these as an opportunity for the genuinely flexible rather than a plan to build a holiday on. Tell us the fortnight you could travel in and we will flag what appears; current offers sit on our empty legs page.

Jet Sharing
Sharing means several parties buying seats on one aircraft going the same way on the same day, with the cabin cost divided instead of falling on one client. On the Thai sector it helps one specific kind of trip and does very little for the rest.
Divide a hundred thousand euros among fourteen people and the seat is still several thousand, so this does not turn a long-haul private flight into an affordable one. Where it genuinely works is on the group travel that this destination generates in quantity: wedding parties with spare capacity, corporate groups on fixed dates, and families travelling out together over the winter holidays. Those come up several times a season, and because the permit is filed against a set schedule anyway, a shared cabin fits the paperwork rather than complicating it.
What a shared seat still buys
– The business aviation terminal at both ends, and boarding half an hour before departure rather than three;
– A flat bed on an overnight sector, which on twelve hours is the difference between arriving able to function and losing the first day;
– Luggage measured by what the hold takes, and a dog in the cabin subject to the paperwork above and to the other passengers knowing in advance.
Give us the week rather than the date, along with the number travelling, and we will hold the request against departures we already know about.

Helicopter charter
Thailand gives a helicopter two quite different jobs. In Bangkok it beats traffic that is among the worst in Asia, and on the coast it reaches islands and resorts where the alternative is a road transfer plus a boat. Both are flown on Thai-registered machines, which as a side effect solves the domestic movement question that constrains the jet.
against an hour or more on the expressway at the wrong time of dayminutes in the air
a three-hour drive south, and the shortest way to a weekend by the seaabout 40 minutes
industrial visits and the resort strip, tied to U-Tapaoabout 30 minutes
short hops between islands that would otherwise mean a ferry each wayisland hopping
villa and resort helipads along a coastline the roads follow slowlycoastal transfers
where the vessel has a certified deck and the captain approves the landingdirect
What has to be arranged in advance
– Rotary movements carry their own permissions and landing site approvals, separate from the jet clearance, and in a country with permit lead times this long that is not a same-day arrangement;
– The monsoon governs the calendar. Between roughly May and October the afternoons bring heavy rain and thunderstorms, and rotary flying becomes weather-dependent, so we plan the road or ferry alternative into the same day;
– Luggage is limited compared with the jet. On a resort transfer the soft bags fly and the hard cases follow by road or boat, which is worth deciding before you land rather than at the helipad.
Types in regular service here run from the single-engine Airbus H125 for short city and coastal work through the wider-cabin H130 to twin-engine H145 and AgustaWestland AW139 machines, which are the sensible minimum over open water on the gulf and Andaman crossings. We arrange the rotary leg alongside the jet so both crews work to the same schedule.

Thai charters from the desk notes: six recent trips
How the route works once the permits are in. Six jobs pulled from the booking notes of recent seasons, surnames reduced to initials and a few details changed.
CABOTAGE · TWO AIRCRAFT
The N. family: Bangkok first, then the islands
London - Bangkok on a Global 6000, then a Thai Legacy 600 to Phuket · 9 pax
The request was one aircraft for the whole fortnight. That is exactly what a foreign-registered jet may not do here: the domestic leg to Phuket is closed to it. We flew the Global out, released it, moved the family on a Thai-registered Legacy and brought the Global back to collect them. Two bookings on paper, one itinerary in practice, and cheaper than parking a long-range cabin in Thailand for two weeks.
PERMITS · THE CALENDAR WON
A corporate group who called nine days out
Farnborough - Bangkok, Gulfstream G550 · 6 pax
The aircraft was available, the crew was available and the money was there. What was not available was a landing permit inside nine days at the regulator’s ordinary pace, with the airport slot needing to come first. The authority granted it at its discretion with two days to spare, and we set out the risk in writing before the deposit rather than after. On this route the calendar is the binding constraint, not the fleet.
WEDDING · AIRLINER CABIN
Thirty-one guests to a resort on the Andaman coast
London - Phuket, Airbus ACJ319, about 13 h · 31 pax
A December wedding with the party travelling together. An airliner cabin on a twelve-hour night sector is not extravagance but sleep, and the group arrived able to attend the first evening rather than needing a day. Permits and slots went in nine weeks ahead, which for a group of this size is the minimum we would work with.
MEDICAL · HOME FROM BANGKOK
Mr A. F.: repatriation after treatment
Bangkok - London, Bombardier Global 7500, about 13 h · patient, spouse, doctor, nurse
A stable patient cleared to fly by his consultant in Bangkok. The ultra-long-range cabin was chosen for the nonstop rather than the interior, because a technical stop with a patient aboard is a complication nobody wants. Ambulances met the aircraft at both ends and the business aviation terminal handled the transfer airside without a public hall.
PETS · THE TEST DONE AT HOME
Dr M. C.: a two-year posting with a labrador
London - Bangkok, Gulfstream G650ER, about 12 h 35 min · 3 pax + dog
They asked in March about a September move, which is the right way round. The Thai import permit is a matter of weeks, but Thailand is unlisted for the return to Britain, so the rabies blood sample was drawn in Hampshire six months ahead. When they came home two years later there was no three-month wait to serve, and the dog travelled in the cabin both ways.
EMPTY LEG · WESTBOUND
Ms J. P.: an aircraft going back to Europe anyway
Bangkok - London, Global 7500 empty leg, about 13 h · 4 pax
A cabin that had delivered a party in January and was due back at its European base, with no reason to sit on a Thai apron in the meantime. She paid a little under half the standard westbound figure. These appear on the return side of this route more often than the outbound, for the simple reason that nothing ultra-long-range lives in Thailand.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Thailand
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Bangkok?
About 12 hours 35 minutes nonstop on a Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, covering roughly 5,160 nautical miles. On a cabin with less range the trip is flown with one technical stop, usually in the Gulf, which adds around ninety minutes. Departures from Scotland and Northern Ireland are within twenty minutes of the London figure.
2How much does a private jet to Thailand cost?
From about 92,000 EUR one way to Bangkok with a technical stop, and from 112,000 EUR nonstop on a G650ER. A Global 7500 starts near 124,000 EUR and an airliner cabin for a group of nineteen or more from around 168,000 EUR. Phuket, Samui and Chiang Mai price above Bangkok because the aircraft flies further.
3Which airport do private jets use in Bangkok?
Don Mueang (DMK / VTBD) rather than the main international hub. Thailand’s first and principal business aviation terminal is there, with its own customs and immigration, a large executive lounge, crew facilities and two hangars, and it is closer to the city centre. Suvarnabhumi handles private flights too, and we use it where a schedule demands.
4Can the same jet fly me from Bangkok to Phuket or Samui?
No. A foreign-registered aircraft may not carry passengers between two points inside Thailand, so the domestic legs go on Thai-registered jets, which we book alongside the international charter. Thailand also expects the same passengers who arrive to depart, and a changed manifest needs specific permission rather than a note to the handler.
5How far ahead should I book a private jet to Thailand?
Further than anywhere else on this site. The landing permit runs to around ten working days officially for a private flight and longer for a charter, the airport slot has to be secured before the permit is processed, and the regulator works weekday mornings only. Two weeks is a comfortable minimum and more is better; short-notice approval exists but is entirely at the authority’s discretion.

The company’s offices
We will be glad to see you in our offices in London, Paris and Berlin. Bangkok runs six or seven hours ahead of us depending on the season, and the Thai regulator keeps short office hours, so a permit question raised in our morning reaches them on the same working day rather than the next one.
