Private jet charter in Tel Aviv
Five hours separate a London airfield from Tel Aviv, and that is long enough to change how the charter is built: the aircraft is chosen for range, the routing is agreed with the operator before the quote is final, and the paperwork starts days ahead and not the night before. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around those points. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. On the ground Tel Aviv is simple: one airport that matters, a private terminal of its own and the coast twenty kilometres away. The real decisions are the cabin, the date against the Jewish calendar, and what the operator confirms about routing before anyone signs.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Tel Aviv depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Tel Aviv?
Just under five hours from Biggin Hill, a little over five from the Midlands and the north, and about five and a half from Glasgow. The distance is 1,994 to 2,261 nautical miles depending on the British field, which is well beyond the distance a light jet typically flies without stopping. Israel keeps time two hours ahead of Britain for nearly the whole year; for a couple of days around the March clock change the gap is three hours. The table gives the sector from each British field we use, with an aircraft that flies it nonstop.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall
Leave a London airfield at eight in the morning and you are on the ground at Ben Gurion in the middle of the afternoon, local time. The airport is about 20 km south-east of central Tel Aviv, and the private terminal handles security and customs on its own premises, so the formalities are done before the car pulls away. Add the drive to the British airfield and the transfer at the other end and the journey from central London to central Tel Aviv comes to seven or eight hours. That is a full day of travel, which is why a same-day return is not a sensible plan on this route and why most clients build in at least one night.
Routing, airspace and security: what we check before every quote
The eastern Mediterranean is a region where airspace and security conditions can change the routing, the availability of crews and the terms on which an aircraft is insured, sometimes at short notice. Operators who fly the route regularly work with that every day, but it is a reason to treat a Tel Aviv quote as conditional until the operator has confirmed its routing in writing. Before a booking we ask for four things: the planned route and any technical stop, confirmation that the operator's insurers cover it, the handler's written confirmation of the arrival arrangements for your date, and the cancellation and rerouting terms in the offer. We also suggest you read the UK government's travel advice for Israel, published by the FCDO, and tell your own insurer where you are going. If anything changes between booking and departure, those terms matter more than the headline price.
Which cabin for a five-hour sector
– A super-midsize cabin such as the Embraer Praetor 600 or the Bombardier Challenger 350 is the practical floor for a nonstop run from Britain. Light jets typically need a fuel stop in southern Europe, which adds roughly an hour, a second set of handling fees and a second set of paperwork, and the saving mostly disappears;
– Past eight passengers, or with heavy luggage and a team that works in the air, we quote a large cabin such as the Challenger 605 or the Falcon 2000LXS next to it, because the hold and the seat pitch matter after five hours more than they do after two;
– Long-range heavies such as the Gulfstream G450 or the Global 6000 make sense when Tel Aviv is one stop on a longer itinerary and the same aircraft stays with you, not when it is the whole trip.

Prices for the private jet flights to Tel Aviv
Typical trips from Britain, cheapest first, all flown nonstop in a super-midsize jet into Ben Gurion. The Jewish holiday weeks and the June festival season sit above these figures, and the calendar block further down explains when.

The spread between the south of England and Scotland is smaller than the distances suggest, because on a five-hour sector the flying itself dominates the bill. A Praetor 600 out of Biggin Hill is £32,500; the same aircraft out of Glasgow is £36,550. We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:

Eilat, the Dead Sea and Cyprus: short legs that change the trip
Eilat has an airport of its own, Ramon, about 18 km north of the city on a 3,600 m runway, so a jet can land there directly and a turboprop does the hop from Tel Aviv in about an hour, against a long day on the road. Eilat is a winter-sun destination and also hosts the Red Sea Jazz Festival, which has been held in February and late August. The Dead Sea and Masada are a different case: they are reached from Tel Aviv by road or by helicopter, and a sightseeing helicopter flight to Masada and the Dead Sea takes about 45 minutes. Larnaca, across the water in Cyprus, is the usual short onward leg for clients who split a trip between the two countries. For most itineraries that combine Tel Aviv with Eilat, the sensible plan is one booking with the aircraft staying with you, since two separate charters double the positioning cost.
Before you accept an onward quote from Israel
– Which airport, and who can fly it. Herzliya has a runway of about 900 m and no terminal, so it is a light-aircraft field and no use to a jet, however close it looks on the map. Sde Dov, the old city-centre airport, no longer takes traffic;
– Which day of the week. Friday afternoon, Saturday and the Jewish holidays change what handlers, caterers and drivers can offer, and the airport itself has traditionally closed to flights for about a day at Yom Kippur. We ask for the handler's hours in writing before we price an onward leg that falls on any of them;
– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Tel Aviv to Eilat to Larnaca to Tel Aviv over a long weekend costs noticeably less arranged as a single trip, because the aircraft and crew stay put instead of repositioning between each stop.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Tel Aviv:
Super-midsize, the working choice from Britain
On a five-hour nonstop these are the aircraft that fit the sector without a fuel stop and without paying for more cabin than the party needs.
Large cabins, for bigger parties and long days
For ten or more passengers, for a team that works in the air and for trips that continue beyond Israel without changing aircraft.
Long-range heavies
Worth the money when the same aircraft carries on to another continent, or when the party is large and wants full-flat beds on the way back.
Light jets and turboprops, for the legs from Tel Aviv
The right aircraft for Larnaca, Athens and Eilat. From Britain they need a fuel stop, so we quote them only for the regional hops.
Helicopters
Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch: Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Masada, the coast. Local operators fly everything from small three-seat machines to ten-seat twins, and landing sites are agreed before the quote.

This is a small part of what is available. For a booking that is not in a holiday week there is sometimes an aircraft already within a few hours of Ben Gurion, in Cyprus, Greece or Italy, and that is occasionally where the better price comes from. For the flight out from Britain, though, the aircraft has to be quoted with its own range and routing in mind, and the cheapest hourly rate is not always the cheapest trip.

Business aviation airports in Tel Aviv
One airport does nearly all the work, and the rest are mostly here to be ruled out. It helps to know which is which before a quote arrives with the wrong one in it.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Ben Gurion International TLV / LLBG |
The answer for almost every trip. About 20 km south-east of central Tel Aviv, with three asphalt runways of 4,062 m, 3,112 m and 2,772 m that take anything we send. Business aviation has its own private terminal beside the Terminal 1 entrance, run by Fattal: private check-in, security and customs, six private rooms and a board room, and a private vehicle to the aircraft. The FBO there is listed as ExecuJet, working with the Israeli company Flyeast. An airfield database lists the airport and its customs and immigration as open round the clock |
| Herzliya LLHZ |
A small field north of Tel Aviv with one asphalt runway of about 900 m, no terminal, flight schools and general aviation. Fine for a light-aircraft owner who lives nearby and no use for a jet. We mention it because it appears on maps of the area |
| Ramon, near Eilat ETM / LLER |
The Red Sea airport, about 18 km north of Eilat, with a 3,600 m runway and international status. It is the right destination for a trip to the resort, and a place to fly to from Tel Aviv by turboprop or jet, not an alternative to Ben Gurion for Tel Aviv itself |
| Sde Dov SDV / LLSD |
The old city-centre airport on the coast, closed to all traffic and its land earmarked for housing. Older guides and some maps still show it, and any quote that names it is out of date |
| Larnaca, Cyprus LCA |
Not a Tel Aviv airport but the usual neighbour: a 3,000 m runway and the short onward leg for clients who combine the two countries. It sits in the EU, so it sets different entry rules, and we plan the passport and pet paperwork for each leg |
Four points settle most Tel Aviv arrivals:
Choose the terminal and the handler
Business aviation arrives at the Fattal private terminal, in the Masada hall next to the Terminal 1 entrance. ExecuJet is listed as handling aircraft there with its Israeli partner Flyeast. Tell us which terminal your car and your guests are meeting, because a driver waiting at the main terminal hall is waiting at the wrong building.
Hours and permissions
The airport is listed as open round the clock, with customs and immigration also listed at all hours. A private aircraft still has its arrival arranged in advance through the handler: crew and passenger details go in ahead of the flight, and a local contact is typically asked for. Around Friday evening, Saturday and the autumn holidays we get the handler's staffing confirmed in writing.
Border and ETA-IL
UK passport holders need no visa for a stay of typically up to 90 days but must hold an approved ETA-IL before the flight. The fee is small, typically 25 shekels or about £5, the authorisation typically lasts up to two years or until the passport expires, and an answer can take up to 72 hours. Apply only through the official gov.il site, because lookalike sites charge more. The border officer still decides on entry.
Car and the road
Ben Gurion is about 20 km from central Tel Aviv and about 45 km from Jerusalem, and the private terminal moves guests to the aircraft in its own vehicle, so the car can wait at the terminal. Give us the terminal as well as the airport, and the hotel's drop-off point on the other side. Rail and bus links exist at Terminal 3 but are not part of a private arrival.

Border, passport and the first hour
Because the private terminal does its own security, customs and immigration, the first hour in Israel should be quicker than at the main terminals. What the officers will want is in order before you leave: passports with the right validity, a complete ETA-IL for every passenger, and the crew and passenger details sent through the handler ahead of the flight. A passenger who forgets the authorisation may be refused boarding in Britain, and one who has it can still be refused at the border, so the list is checked twice, once by us and once by the handler.

From the apron to the coast
Tel Aviv is a compact coastal city and most of what a visitor wants sits within a short drive of the sea front. The journeys that need planning are the ones that run outward: to Jerusalem, to the Dead Sea and to the Red Sea.

Flying to Tel Aviv with a dog or a cat
Israel is one of the more demanding destinations for a pet owner, and almost all of the preparation has to be done weeks before the trip. The animal sits beside you in the cabin, with no hold involved, and the flight itself is the easy part. The preparation is a veterinary project with a lead time of several months.

What Israel typically asks for when a dog or cat arrives from Britain:
- An import licence from the Director of Veterinary Services at the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture, with an exemption for up to two animals travelling as accompanied baggage when the owner signs a declaration of having kept them for at least 90 days;
- An ISO microchip implanted before the first rabies vaccination, and a rabies vaccination given at least 30 days and no more than a year before arrival;
- A rabies antibody blood test, taken at least 30 days after vaccination and showing at least 0.5 IU/ml at an approved laboratory;
- An official veterinary health certificate signed by a government vet and issued no more than ten days before arrival, for an animal at least four months old;
- Advance notice, with a copy of the certificate, sent to the veterinary office at the port of entry two working days before loading. Animals enter through Ben Gurion;
- No dogs of the listed fighting breeds or close crosses of them, unless a licence is granted.
What catches owners out on the Tel Aviv run
– The blood test is the long pole. It cannot be drawn until a month after vaccination, and an animal that has not been tested cannot simply be fitted in the week before departure, so the first call to the vet comes months ahead of the flight;
– The way home is a separate project. Israel does not appear among the countries with simplified rules for pets entering Great Britain, so we plan a return as a non-listed one: a Great Britain pet health certificate issued within ten days, a rabies blood test at an EU-approved laboratory, a three-month wait after the sample is taken, a tapeworm treatment for dogs from a vet 24 to 120 hours before arrival, and an approved route. Cats are exempt from the tapeworm treatment. We would not leave it to the last fortnight;
– On a private flight, the approved-route question is not settled by a printed rule. We confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight, and we do that before the quote is accepted.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken.
The Tel Aviv calendar: a Mediterranean city set to the Jewish year
Tel Aviv has a business and festival calendar like any large city, and over it sits the Jewish year, which moves with the lunar calendar and shifts from one season to the next. Knowing which week you want matters more here than the choice of aircraft.
Why a holiday week costs more
Not the flying. The Mediterranean fleet is large. What gets tight is the number of aircraft that can leave a given British airfield on the day you want them, and the number of handler staff, cars and catering slots on the Israeli side, all in the same week. A request made two weeks before Passover or the autumn holidays can still be done, but it pays more and may mean an aircraft positioned from Cyprus, Greece or Italy. The same request made six weeks earlier is simpler and cheaper. Outside those weeks the route is calmer, and a charter can usually be arranged within a few days.
Ways to bring the Tel Aviv price down
- Move the dates a few days, away from the holiday weeks and the Pride and marathon weekends. The weeks between festivals are quiet and the aircraft are easier to find;
- Ask where the aircraft is based. A jet already in Cyprus, Greece or Israel itself takes less positioning than one coming out from Britain, and on a long sector that can change the quote noticeably;
- Choose the cabin for the sector. A super-midsize cabin flies the route nonstop, while a smaller jet adds a fuel stop, so the cheaper hourly rate is not always the cheaper trip;
- Book the return at the same time. A round trip with the aircraft staying in Israel for a few days is priced differently from two one-way flights, and the difference is worth asking about.
Types of flights
Tel Aviv produces its own mix, shaped by technology, family ties and religious and leisure travel, and it differs from the Italian or French destinations we cover.
- Business and technology delegations, often with fixed dates around conferences and investor meetings, where arrival formalities and the car at the aircraft door matter most;
- Family travel for weddings, holidays and celebrations, with larger parties, plenty of luggage and a departure date set by the occasion;
- Religious and cultural visits to Jerusalem and the surrounding sites, often combined with a helicopter flight to the Dead Sea;
- Leisure and winter-sun trips onward to Eilat on the Red Sea, flown on a turboprop or a light jet;
- Mediterranean hops to Cyprus and Greece, used for business and for yacht and villa holidays;
- Positioning and ferry flights, where a client travels on a leg that the aircraft was making anyway.
A same-day return from London is not a practical plan on this route. The aircraft and crew would spend most of the day in the air, and the working window on the ground would be short. A better pattern is to leave in the morning, spend a night or two on the ground, and fly back, with the aircraft either waiting or repositioning, and we quote both so the difference is visible.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. On the Tel Aviv route they come from the pattern of travel to and from Israel and the wider Mediterranean, and it helps to know what produces them.
Where Tel Aviv empty legs come from
– Holiday weeks. When families and delegations fly to Israel on charters, the aircraft often leave empty a day or two later, which produces outbound legs towards Britain and Europe in the days after;
– Events and conferences. A cluster of arrivals for a festival or a conference week is followed by a cluster of empty departures once the event ends;
– Mediterranean rotation. Aircraft based in Cyprus, Greece or Italy that fly a party to Tel Aviv often return empty, and the shorter regional legs between those countries can be cheap.
Because the long sector between Britain and Israel is flown less often than a European city pair, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Tel Aviv match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
In Tel Aviv a helicopter is a tool for the day out and not for the airport run. The city is compact and the airport is a road journey of about half an hour, but the places that visitors want, the Dead Sea, Masada, Jerusalem and the Galilee, are where rotary flight turns a long drive into a short flight.
the standard sightseeing flight, over the desert and the Dead Sea shoreabout 45 minutes
a short scenic flight along the shoreline north of the cityon request
a tour of its own, flown from the Tel Aviv areaon request
longer sightseeing flights, flown on request from the Tel Aviv areaon request
Before you plan around a helicopter
– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. Each pick-up and set-down point needs the approval of the operator and the relevant authorities, and airspace restrictions can change a route or close a flight at short notice, so the exact points are agreed before we quote, not after;
– Heat sets the schedule. A midday flight over the desert is hotter and often less smooth than an early one, so the morning is usually the better slot for the Dead Sea;
– Local operators fly a wide range of machines, from small three-seat helicopters to ten-seat twins, so we choose the aircraft for the party and the route and book it together with the jet, to keep both crews on one timetable.
The helicopters on this ground range from the light Robinson R44 up to the Sikorsky S-76, with the Airbus H125 and H130 and the Bell 429 between them for most private parties. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Tel Aviv charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
DELEGATION · FIXED DATES
A team for a three-day round of meetings
Biggin Hill - Tel Aviv, Praetor 600, about 4 h 55 min · 6 pax
The dates were set by the meetings and not by the client. Six people, laptops, printed folders and a request for a car at the terminal door. The operator confirmed its routing in writing, the handler pre-arranged the arrival details a week ahead and every passenger had an approved ETA-IL before the car left for the airfield. The aircraft stayed in Israel for the three days and flew home with the same party.
FAMILY OCCASION · THE LUGGAGE BOOKED THE CABIN
Ten people, a wedding and a lot of suitcases
London Luton - Tel Aviv, Challenger 605, about 5 h 00 min · 10 pax
Garment bags, gifts and children's equipment filled the hold well beyond what a smaller cabin carries, so the quote moved up a class for the baggage, not for the seats. The date was fixed by the occasion and fell in a busy holiday window, so the booking went in well ahead and the return slot was arranged together with the outbound.
ONWARD LEG · THE RED SEA
A long weekend in Eilat after the meetings
Tel Aviv - Eilat Ramon, Pilatus PC-12 NGX, about 1 hour · 5 pax
The party finished in Tel Aviv on a Thursday and wanted to be on the Red Sea that evening. A turboprop did what would otherwise have been a long drive, the same crew brought them back on Sunday and the whole thing was priced as one itinerary together with the long-haul legs.
A DOG ON BOARD · MONTHS OF PREPARATION
Two adults and a retriever on a month-long stay
Southampton - Tel Aviv, Praetor 600, about 5 h 00 min · 2 pax + dog
The paperwork took longer than the flight. The vaccination, the blood test and the import licence were sorted months ahead, the certificate was dated inside ten days of arrival and the return was planned as a separate project with the three-month wait built into the calendar. We confirmed the entry point and papers in writing before the aircraft was booked.
DEAD SEA · THE HELICOPTER DAY
A guest programme built around Masada
Tel Aviv local helicopter day, H130 or similar · 5 pax
The guests arrived the night before by jet and spent the next morning in the air: Masada, the Dead Sea shore and a landing site agreed with the operator in advance. The cabin crew and the helicopter crew worked from one timetable, and the car was waiting at the landing point afterwards.
EMPTY LEG · A JET ALREADY GOING YOUR WAY
Tel Aviv back to Britain at the end of a holiday week
Tel Aviv - London Luton, super-midsize empty leg, about 5 h 00 min · 4 pax
The aircraft had brought a party to Israel and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for the long sector back to the London fields.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Tel Aviv
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Tel Aviv?
Just under five hours from Biggin Hill (1,994 nautical miles) and about five hours from Luton or Farnborough in a Praetor 600. From Birmingham, Manchester or Bristol allow about five hours ten to five hours fifteen, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow around five and a half hours. Israel is two hours ahead of Britain for nearly all of the year, so an eight o'clock departure lands in the middle of the afternoon local time.
2How much does a private jet to Tel Aviv cost?
From about £32,500 one way in a super-midsize jet out of Biggin Hill. Luton and Farnborough come to £32,950, Birmingham to £33,900, Manchester to £34,500 and Glasgow to £36,550. A large-cabin jet costs more. The Jewish holiday weeks and the June festival season price above these figures.
3Which Tel Aviv airport should a private jet use?
Ben Gurion (TLV / LLBG), about 20 km from the city, which has three runways and a private terminal run by Fattal with ExecuJet listed as the FBO, where security, customs and immigration are handled. Herzliya has a runway of only about 900 m and suits light aircraft, and Sde Dov, the old city airport, is closed. For Eilat the airport is Ramon.
4Do I need a visa or a permit to fly to Israel?
UK passport holders do not need a visa for a stay of typically up to 90 days, but they must hold an approved ETA-IL before the flight. The fee is typically about £5, the authorisation typically lasts up to two years or until the passport expires, and an answer can take up to 72 hours. Apply only through the official gov.il site. The border officer still makes the final decision on entry.
5Can I take my dog to Tel Aviv on a private jet?
Yes, and the dog travels in the cabin. Israel typically asks for an import licence, an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination, a rabies antibody blood test, a government vet's health certificate issued within ten days of arrival and advance notice to the veterinary office at the port of entry. The return to Britain is planned as a non-listed one, with a blood test, a three-month wait and a tapeworm treatment for dogs, so start months ahead.
6What should I check about routing and security before I book?
Ask the operator for its planned route and any technical stop, whether its insurers cover the route, and the cancellation and rerouting terms. Airspace and security conditions in the region can change the routing, the crews available and the insurance terms, sometimes at short notice, so we treat a quote as conditional until the operator confirms in writing. We also suggest reading the FCDO travel advice for Israel and telling your own insurer where you are going.
