Private jet charter in Grenada
A flight from London to Grenada is a long Atlantic crossing that ends on a runway needing no apology: about nine thousand feet, an FBO of its own and customs on the spot. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. For Grenada that means a super-midsize jet with a technical stop in the Azores or an ultra-long-range jet in one hop, and a landing at Point Salines at the south-western tip of the island.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Grenada depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Farnborough, an Embraer Praetor 600 to Maurice Bishop International Airport in Grenada with one technical stop in the Azores, and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Grenada?
From Farnborough the straight line to the island is 3,914 nautical miles. A Praetor 600 or a Challenger 350 cannot cover that in one hop, so it flies two legs through Santa Maria in the Azores, 1,400 nautical miles and then 2,573, together 59 more than the direct line. The stop costs about an hour on the ground and very little extra distance. A Global 6000, a Gulfstream G550 or a G650ER flies the whole distance non-stop. Grenada keeps Atlantic Standard Time all year, four hours behind Britain in winter and five in summer. Times are westbound and count flying time only:
3,973 nautical miles from Farnborough in two legs, with about an hour on the ground at Santa Mariaabout 9 h 40 min plus the stop
3,914 nautical miles from Farnborough in a single hopabout 8 h 40 min
35 nautical miles, a hop inside the countryabout 40 min gate to gate
3,914 nautical miles to Farnborough, with the jet stream behind the aircraftabout 7 h 25 min
What the runway means for the choice of aircraft
The single asphalt runway, 10/28, is listed at about 9,000 feet by 148 feet, and scheduled jets from London use it. Runway length is not the question it is on smaller Caribbean fields.
The choice between a stop and a non-stop is about the party and the budget. A super-midsize jet with a stop in the Azores is the cheaper way over, and a long-range jet saves the hour on the ground.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Prices for the private jet flights to Grenada
Typical charter prices from Britain, cheapest first. The cheaper rows are super-midsize jets that reach the island after one stop in the Azores. The dearer ones are large-cabin jets that fly it non-stop, which is worth paying for when the party and the luggage need the space:

| London Gatwick - Grenada 3,935 nm / 7,288 km, non-stop |
Gulfstream G550 up to 16 |
from £112,300 |
Two things worth knowing about these figures
– A Praetor 600 from Farnborough starts at £62,400, and the same aircraft from Biggin Hill is £62,850. A Falcon 900LX from Biggin Hill non-stop is about £98,500 and a Gulfstream G650ER about £126,950. The larger jet buys cabin space and a single hop;
– A one-way price carries the aircraft's journey home, because the jet has to cross the Atlantic again whether it carries you or not. A return booked for a week or two, or a flexible date that catches an empty leg, changes the arithmetic more than any negotiation. Air Passenger Duty is shown as a separate line in the quotation.
Private jet flights within Grenada and to its neighbours
The state has three inhabited islands, Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, and only the first two have an airport. The one flight inside the country is Grenada to Carriacou; every other private flight lands in a neighbouring state. Commuter carriers fly most of these routes, and a charter is chosen for timing, for luggage or to avoid a transfer:
| Route | Aircraft | Flight time | Price, one way |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grenada - Carriacou 35 nm / 65 km |

| Grenada - Martinique 168 nm / 311 km |
Citation CJ4 Gen2 up to 8 |

Only one sector stays in the country
Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago are separate countries, and Martinique is French. Each landing is a fresh entry with its own passport and customs checks, so we ask for the local handler's confirmation before a regional hop is quoted.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Grenada:
Turboprops
The aircraft for the short hops. They are the sensible choice for Carriacou, Saint Vincent or Saint Lucia, and the type that suits a runway of about 2,600 feet.
Light jets
They suit the regional hops from Barbados or Saint Lucia to Point Salines, but no light jet makes the crossing from Britain.
Super-midsize
The class we price for a landing on Grenada with one stop in the Azores. The cabin fits a couple or a small family.
Heavy jets
Room for a family with staff. With one stop in the Azores they reach the island, and the runway sets no limit.
Ultra-long range
The class that crosses in one hop. A non-stop flight suits a larger party that wants to be on the ground within a day.

Business aviation airports for Grenada
Grenada is a small market, but the main airport is a real one: scheduled flights from London, a long runway and an FBO for private jets. The second airfield, on Carriacou, is a different matter.
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Maurice Bishop International GND / TGPY |
Point Salines, the south-western tip of the island; about 5 miles (8 km) from St George's, usually 15 to 20 minutes by road, and about 10 minutes to Grand Anse Beach | The airport we plan on. Runway 10/28, asphalt, about 9,000 by 148 feet, elevation 46 feet, fire category 9. An airport of entry with customs on site; slots are not required and handling is not mandatory. Airport and tower are listed from 10:00 to 02:30 UTC, which is 06:00 to 22:30 local time, and jet fuel is listed. The one FBO is IAM Jet Centre, a purpose-built terminal of 4,200 square feet with a lounge, showers, catering, a crew lounge, ground power, fuelling and international handling, and a golf cart takes passengers to the aircraft. Private jets park on the general aviation ramp on the south side. Directories place customs and immigration both inside the FBO and inside the terminal, so we confirm which applies to your flight |
| Lauriston CRU / TGPZ |
Carriacou, west of the main town, Hillsborough, about 35 nautical miles north-east of Point Salines | A short asphalt runway, 09/27, listed at about 2,625 feet by 60 feet. It serves turboprops and light aircraft, and SVG Air lists a Twin Otter link with Grenada on most days. A hurricane damaged the terminal building and the tower was out of action afterwards, so we check the field before any charter to Carriacou. It is no airport for a crossing from Britain |
| Barbados Grantley Adams BGI / TBPB |
155 nautical miles to the north-north-east of Grenada | The nearest large gateway, open round the clock for business aviation, with Signature, Universal Aviation and M Jet as FBOs. We use it for crew positioning and as an alternative landing, and a short regional hop takes passengers on to Grenada |
Check the ramp in the busy weeks
The airport has one general aviation ramp, and a directory advises calling ahead for space during the sailing festival and the December holidays. We request parking with the landing slot.
Mind the closing time
The airport is listed as closing at 22:30 local time, and a late departure with a stop in the Azores can drift towards it. We plan the arrival with a margin.
Charter permission and passenger data
Landing permission for a non-scheduled flight with passengers comes through the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority, with the aircraft documents, the insurance certificate, the passenger and crew details and a local ground handler. The lead time depends on the category of flight. The operator and our team file the papers, and we confirm the requirement in writing before departure.
Arriving from Britain: passports, customs and what to carry
Grenada is an independent country in the Commonwealth. A flight from London arrives as an international flight, and everyone aboard clears immigration and customs at Maurice Bishop International, which is the airport of entry.
valid for at least six months after the day you arrive; British citizens need no visa, the longest entry period is three months, and the border officer must stamp the passportevery passenger, children included
a yellow fever certificate is asked for only from travellers arriving from a country with a risk of transmissiononly from risk countries
strict rules on goods brought in and taken out; anything that may be prohibited, taxed or dutiable is declareddeclare when in doubt
British government travel advice does not cover private aircraft, and refers questions about them to the Grenada High Commission in London and to the authorities in Grenada. Online entry forms and the departure charge are not described there either, so we confirm both with the handler and tell you what to complete in advance.
Coming home is a flight into Britain from outside the country. A General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation, while most other nationalities do. A dual national returns on a valid British passport.

Which part of Grenada is near the airport
The airport sits at the southern end of the island, close to where most visitors stay, and the transfers are short:
the long beach, the main hotel strip and many of the villas, about two miles from the runwayabout 10 minutes
the capital and its harbour, the Carenage, with narrow streets and traffic near the water that stretches the drive15 to 20 minutes
the sister islands to the north, reached by a short flight to Lauriston or by boat; Petite Martinique has no airporta hop of about 35 nautical miles
Grenada: what our clients go for
Grenada is the Island of Spice, and nutmeg, which is on its flag, is the top export. The island has about 115,000 people on 344 square kilometres. Its highest point, Mount St Catherine, rises to 840 metres, and the interior holds rainforest and the crater lake of Grand Etang. The capital is St George's, English is official, the Eastern Caribbean dollar is the currency, and an endangered French-based creole survives alongside it. Independence from Britain came on 7 February.
The visitors are mostly sailors, villa and resort guests and families with a link to the island. The FBO describes its terminal as designed for a yachting and high-end resort destination. British Airways flies from Gatwick and Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow, so a private jet is a choice for timing, for privacy and for a party that does not want to split up.
The year in Grenada: dry months, wet months and hurricanes
The island is warm all year, with temperatures usually between about 22 and 32 degrees, and the year splits into two seasons:
the cooler and drier months and the busiest for visitors, with December the peak of the seasonpeak
the drier season runs on, visitors are fewer, and sailing stays good until Juneshoulder
the wet and hurricane season, with the carnival making August a busy monthlow season, hurricane risk
Storms are a real consideration
Hurricane Ivan, a Category 3 storm, damaged about nine in ten homes on the main island, and Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4 storm, devastated Carriacou and Petite Martinique. A hurricane warning closes airports, so for September and October we keep dates flexible and book refundable ground arrangements.
The Grenada calendar: sailing, carnival and spice
Dates are usual months, and the organisers set the exact days. Each of these weeks fills the hotels and the single ramp:
We confirm the handler, the transfer and the parking together with the flight.

Flying to Grenada with a dog or a cat
A dog or cat travels in the cabin, and the way home is stricter than the way out.
The two facts to read before you book
Grenada asks for an import permit from the Chief Veterinary Officer, applied for to the Veterinary Services at least two weeks before arrival, a rabies vaccination given not less than 30 days and not more than 12 months before entry, and an original health certificate issued by a licensed vet. The Chief Veterinary Officer is told the date and time of arrival in advance, and the port of entry for animals is Maurice Bishop International Airport. An animal that meets the rules is not put in quarantine.
On the way home Grenada is not a listed country for the British rules. The animal needs a Great Britain pet health certificate and a rabies blood test on top of the usual rules, which carries a waiting period of its own, and a dog needs tapeworm treatment from a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 5 days before landing in Britain. An animal that does not meet the conditions can be quarantined for up to four months.
- The microchip, ISO 15-digit, is recommended and its number goes on every document;
- A multi-year rabies vaccine is not accepted, and puppies and kittens are not vaccinated before three months of age;
- Dogs need the usual vaccines against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parainfluenza, and cats against panleukopenia, given 30 days to 12 months before travel.
Wolf hybrids and Savannah and Bengal cats are excluded unless they are at least five generations from the wild ancestor. We confirm the permit with the Veterinary Services and the entry point and paperwork in writing before the flight. Requirements for birds, rabbits and the less usual species are set out on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. A charter to a small island is one-way by nature, and the aircraft has to cross an ocean to get home, so a leg to or from the Eastern Caribbean appears whenever a jet is sent out to collect a party or flies home after dropping one.
These legs are less regular than on a busy European corridor, and a client who can offer a few days has a better chance of a match. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page. A selection of empty legs on the Grenada runs follows:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grenada - UK (London Farnborough) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £26,200 |
| UK (London Gatwick) - Grenada | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £26,300 |
| Grenada - UK (London Luton) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £26,400 |
| UK (Belfast) - Grenada | Challenger 350 | 9 seats | £30,650 |
| Grenada - UK (Belfast) | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £39,900 |
| UK (London Biggin Hill) - Grenada | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £41,350 |
Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat.

Helicopter charter
We did not find a regular helicopter service in Grenada. A helicopter is arranged case by case, from an operator on a neighbouring island, with the landing site and customs clearance agreed in advance. The road from the airport to Grand Anse or St George's is short, and for Carriacou a turboprop or a boat is the usual way.

Flights from the UK to Grenada
We fly this corridor from every British airfield in the list below, and the price table higher up covers thirteen of those pairings. Our clients have access to all airports of the UK and Europe. Due to the unique partnership conditions, we can offer our clients the best prices for business aviation services. Our experts will consult you on the availability of private jets in a particular city and help you choose the best option.

Grenada charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
Six typical jobs put together from booking notes with the particulars changed, so none describes one named client or date.
JANUARY · A GROUP OF SIX
The sailing festival
Farnborough - Grenada via the Azores, Praetor 600, about 9 h 40 min plus the stop · 6 pax
The party flew out to join a chartered yacht, with the transfer to the marina waiting at the ramp. The return was booked as a separate one-way ten days later.
DECEMBER · A FAMILY OF FIVE
A non-stop crossing
Biggin Hill - Grenada, Falcon 900LX, about 9 h 35 min · 5 pax
The family wanted no stop and the villa by evening. Ramp space was requested with the landing slot, because the week before Christmas is the busiest of the season.
A SHORT HOP · TWO GUESTS
From the big airport to the island
Barbados - Grenada, Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2, about 50 min gate to gate · 2 pax
Two guests landed late at Barbados on a scheduled flight and moved on by light jet the same evening.
A CHAIN TOUR · FOUR GUESTS
Grenada to Carriacou
Grenada - Carriacou, Pilatus PC-12 NGX, about 40 min · 4 pax
After a week on the main island the party flew to the sister island, with the state of the runway and terminal confirmed before booking.
WITH THE DOG · A PERMIT FIRST
A couple, a spaniel and a month in the sun
Farnborough - Grenada via the Azores, Praetor 600, about 9 h 40 min plus the stop · 2 pax + dog
The import permit was requested a month ahead, and the rabies blood test and the return paperwork were planned before the outbound flight.
EMPTY LEG · AFTER THE SEASON
A flexible return to Belfast
Grenada - Belfast, Challenger 350 empty leg, about 8 h 05 min plus the stop · 3 pax
The client gave us a window of four days instead of a date, and paid about £30,650, well under half of a fresh one-way charter on the same sector.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Grenada
1How long does it take to fly to Grenada by private jet?
About 9 h 35 min non-stop from a London airfield in a Falcon 900LX, and about 9 h 40 min in a Praetor 600 plus about an hour on the ground in the Azores. The way home is shorter with the jet stream behind the aircraft.
2How much does a private jet to Grenada cost?
From about £62,400 one way from Farnborough in a Praetor 600 with a stop in the Azores. A Falcon 900LX non-stop from Biggin Hill is about £98,500. Air Passenger Duty is shown as a separate line in the quotation.
3Which airports do private jets use for Grenada?
Maurice Bishop International (GND, TGPY) at Point Salines is the airport for jets, with a runway of about 9,000 feet, customs on site and IAM Jet Centre as the FBO. Lauriston (CRU, TGPZ) on Carriacou has a short runway for turboprops and light aircraft. Barbados is the nearest large gateway.
4What are the passport and customs rules for a private flight from Britain to Grenada?
British citizens need no visa and can stay up to three months, with a passport valid for at least six months after arrival and stamped by the border officer. Anything prohibited, taxed or dutiable is declared, and we confirm the entry forms and the departure charge with the handler.
5Can I take my dog or cat on a private jet to Grenada?
Yes, with an import permit applied for at least two weeks ahead, a rabies vaccination at least 30 days before entry, and an original health certificate from a licensed vet. Grenada is not a listed country for the British rules, so the way home needs a Great Britain pet health certificate and a rabies blood test, planned in advance.
6When is the best time to fly to Grenada, and how early should I book?
December to February is the cooler, drier peak, and the sailing season runs from October to June. The hurricane season is from June to November. Book early for the sailing festival in late January, for Spicemas in August and for the weeks around Christmas.
