Private jet charter in Dusseldorf

A morning departure from the London fields puts you on the Rhine in about an hour, and that is why Düsseldorf is one of the easiest business trips we fly out of Britain. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around the reason you are going. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Düsseldorf is simple to reach and fussy about the hour you leave. The airport has an executive terminal of its own, run by Jet Aviation, with passport control and customs inside it, and two parallel runways of 3,000 m and 2,700 m that take anything we send. The fussy part is the night: after 22:00 the rules tighten sharply, and the fair calendar can fill the hotels without warning. Most of the planning here is about those two things, the cabin size and what the trip is for.

private jet charter

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Düsseldorf depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.

You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:

  • using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
  • via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
  • by landline or cell phone;
  • via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).

Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London Luton, a Cessna Citation CJ3+ and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.

How long does it take to fly to Düsseldorf?

About an hour from London City or Biggin Hill in a light jet, an hour and a half from Glasgow, and one hour of clock difference to add on arrival, because Germany keeps Central European time. At 262 to 503 nautical miles Düsseldorf is one of the shortest crossings to a major German business city, close enough that the trip fits inside a morning and far below anything that taxes a light jet. The table gives the sector from each British field we use.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall

Wheels up at eight from a London airfield and you touch down at Düsseldorf at about ten local time: about an hour in the air and an hour gained on the clock. The airport lies roughly 7 km north of the city centre, so a car from the executive terminal reaches the Königsallee or the Medienhafen in what is normally a short drive, and the fairground is only a few kilometres away. Add the run to the British airfield and the quick processing at both ends and the journey from central London to central Düsseldorf comes to roughly three hours. A client who leaves at seven can be at a lunch table on the Rhine by noon and back in London for dinner.

Light jet or midsize: the question that actually comes up on this route

– Up to about five people with ordinary bags, a light jet is the answer. In the broker statistics we looked at, the Citation XLS, the Sovereign and the CJ2 are the business types seen most at Düsseldorf, which tells you how ordinary this sector is for a small cabin;

– Past that, or with fair stands, product samples or a delegation that wants to work in the air, we quote a midsize or super-midsize jet next to the light one so you see both figures. Düsseldorf never limits the choice, because its runways are among the longest in the region;

– Heavy and ultra-long-range aircraft only make sense for a large party, for a trip that carries on to the Gulf or Asia, or when the same aircraft stays with you across several European stops. The clock, not the runway, is what shapes those bookings.

Private jet flights from Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf is the Rhine-Ruhr's best-connected private airport, and from it most of Western Europe is a single short sector. Amsterdam and Frankfurt are only about 100 and 106 nautical miles away and suit a turboprop, Hamburg and Paris Le Bourget are light-jet hops, Zurich, Berlin and Munich sit comfortably in the Phenom class, and the Riviera and the Gulf are the long end. Why the onward sectors are quick

Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland are in the Schengen area, so a flight from Düsseldorf to any of them ends without passport control and the formalities are as short as the flight. A light jet reaches Hamburg or Paris in well under two hours, and the same journey on the ground is most of a day. The Gulf is the exception: a long sector that only a long-range aircraft flies in one go. A turboprop like the Pilatus PC-12 is worth a quote on the Amsterdam and Frankfurt legs, where it gives up little time and saves a good deal.

Before you accept an onward quote from Düsseldorf

– The hour of departure. Düsseldorf plans departures to 22:00 and landings to 23:00, and a departure after 22:00 needs an individual exemption from the aviation supervisory authority, which the airport says it grants restrictively. A quote that has you leaving at eleven at night either assumes that exemption or quietly means another airport;

– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Düsseldorf to Hamburg to Berlin over two days costs noticeably less as a single trip, because the aircraft and crew stay with you instead of repositioning to Düsseldorf between each stop.

Prices depending on the type of business jet

We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

Turbopropsfrom £850/h
Small jet£1,700 - 2,500/h

Large medium-class jet (Challenger 300)£4,600 - 5,500/h
Large jet (Legacy 600)£4,900 - 5,800/h
Long-haul jet (Global 5000, G550, Falcon 7X)£5,800 - 8,800/h

Private jets are ready to take off

Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Düsseldorf:

Light jets, and where most bookings land

Most Düsseldorf bookings end up here. A crossing of about an hour asks for no range at all, so spend the money on the hours flown and not on a cabin you will never fill.

HondaJet Elite · 5 seatsfrom £1,900/h
Cessna Citation CJ3+ · 7 seatsfrom £2,400/h
Embraer Phenom 300E · 8 seatsfrom £2,600/h
Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 · 8 seatsfrom £2,700/h

Midsize, for fair stands and sample cases

Fair stands, sample cases and a team that wants to review slides on the way are what push a party beyond a light-jet hold. The bigger cabin is a working room, not a luxury.

Learjet 75 Liberty · 8 seatsfrom £3,000/h
Cessna Citation XLS+ · 9 seatsfrom £3,100/h
Cessna Citation Latitude · 9 seatsfrom £3,900/h
Embraer Praetor 600 · 9 seatsfrom £3,400/h

Super-midsize and large

For a delegation travelling as one party and for trips that carry on beyond Europe. Düsseldorf has the runway length for every aircraft in this group, so the only question is whether the departure falls before the evening restrictions begin.

Bombardier Challenger 350 · 9 seatsfrom £4,000/h
Bombardier Challenger 605 · 12 seatsfrom £4,350/h
Dassault Falcon 2000LXS · 10 seatsfrom £4,900/h
Gulfstream G450 · 13 seatsfrom £5,800/h

Turboprops

The Pilatus PC-12 is the sensible quote on the Dutch and Rhine sectors from Düsseldorf, where it costs little in time and a good deal less in money than a jet.

Pilatus PC-12 NGX · 9 seatsfrom £1,400/h
Beechcraft King Air 350 · 9 seatsfrom £1,650/h

Helicopters

Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch: between Rhine-Ruhr airfields, or to a site that has no runway. A landing away from an approved airfield needs a state permit, so the site is agreed before the quote.

online private jet directory

This is a small part of what is available. Düsseldorf sits in the middle of a dense cluster of business airports, with Cologne Bonn, Essen/Mülheim, Dortmund and, across the Dutch border, Amsterdam all within a short hop, so outside a major fair week there is often an aircraft already close by, and that is frequently where the better price comes from.

Business aviation airports in Düsseldorf

One airport is the obvious answer and the others matter for particular reasons. It is better to know them before a quote arrives with one of them in it.

Airport What it gives you
Düsseldorf International
DUS / EDDL
The first choice for almost every trip to the city. It lies about 7 km north of the centre, with two parallel concrete runways of 3,000 m and 2,700 m that take everything from a Phenom to a Global. Private flights use the Executive Terminal, also called the General Aviation Terminal, on the western side of the airfield: about 800 square metres with security and passport control, an executive lounge, a small conference centre and a crew room. Jet Aviation runs it as the FBO, with on-site customs, hangarage, fuel and de-icing coordination, and a second handler, DAS Düsseldorf Aviation Service, works from Terminal B. The terminal is staffed every day until 23:00. We confirm slot and handling terms for your date
Cologne Bonn
CGN / EDDK
About 56 km south-east of Düsseldorf in a straight line and about 12 km from Cologne, with a main runway of 3,815 m and round-the-clock operation. It is the standard answer when the evening runs past what Düsseldorf allows, and the better airport when half the trip is in Cologne or Bonn. Slot and handling terms are confirmed for the date
Dortmund
DTM / EDLW
About 67 km north-east of Düsseldorf in a straight line. A 2,000 m runway and a general aviation terminal with its own customs, which suits turboprops, light and midsize jets. Scheduled departures there stop at 22:00, so it does not solve a late departure. It is the right airport when the meeting is in Dortmund, not Düsseldorf
Essen/Mülheim
ESS / EDLE
A small field about 19 km north of Düsseldorf in a straight line, with a 1,553 m runway and no scheduled flights. It suits turboprops and the lightest jets, and it makes sense only when the business is in Essen or Mülheim
Mönchengladbach
MGL / EDLN
About 20 km west of Düsseldorf, with a 1,200 m runway and mostly general aviation use. The runway rules out most jets, so it is a place for turboprops and helicopters and not for a charter from Britain
Weeze (Niederrhein)
NRN / EDLV
About 57 km north-west of Düsseldorf in a straight line near the Dutch border, with a 2,440 m runway. A realistic alternative for clients whose business lies on the lower Rhine or across the border, and not for Düsseldorf itself

Four points settle most Düsseldorf arrivals:

Choose the terminal and the handler

The Executive Terminal is separate from the main passenger building and is run by Jet Aviation, which describes itself as the only FBO at the airport with executive lounges, a conference room and a crew lounge. DAS Düsseldorf Aviation Service is the other handler, working from Terminal B. The operator may have a preference, so we ask which one it wants before the paperwork is filed.

Hours, slots and the night rule

Daytime runs from 06:00 to 22:00. Between 22:00 and 23:00 the airport plans landings but no departures, and from 23:00 to 06:00 there are no planned movements at all. Late landings by qualifying jets are tolerated to 23:30, and anything beyond that needs a case-by-case exemption from the supervisory authority in Düsseldorf. Plan to be away by 22:00 and treat a later departure as a request, not a right.

Border and passport

Britain is outside Schengen, so passport control and customs happen at the terminal on arrival, and the Federal Police publish a leaflet for arrivals from outside the Schengen area. British passport holders can normally visit without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180, provided the passport is up to date and has validity left. Entry-check procedures for visitors from outside the EU change from time to time, so we confirm the position for each party before the flight.

Car, hotel and fair weeks

Give us the terminal as well as the flight, because a driver sent to the main terminal waits at the wrong building. In a fair week the roads towards the fairground and the hotels fill early, so we book the car with the aircraft. Five-star rooms on the Königsallee, in the Medienhafen and beside the Rhine promenade go first when a big fair opens.

business aviation

The late departure and the other airports

Düsseldorf wins on distance and on runway length, and it loses only to the clock. If dinner runs past 21:30 or a meeting overruns, the departure can fall into the hour when the airport plans no outbound flights at all. Cologne Bonn is about 56 km away in a straight line and works round the clock, which is why it is the usual second choice. Land at Düsseldorf for the arrival, since it is the closer one, and ask us to price the return from whichever airport matches the hour.

From the apron to the Königsallee

Düsseldorf is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, a city of about 620,000 people in a metropolitan region of roughly 11 million along the Rhine. Henkel, Rheinmetall, GEA, Metro and Uniper have their headquarters here, around 400 advertising agencies work in the city, and the Königsallee is known for jewellers, designer labels and some of the highest rents in Germany. The Japanese community, about 11,000 people in the wider area, is the largest in Germany. The airport sits north of the centre, and the distances that matter run out from it.

Flying to Düsseldorf with a dog or a cat

The paperwork takes longer than the flight, and the flight is short enough that most animals sleep through it. With the operator's agreement the animal travels in the cabin beside you. What needs care is the date on the health certificate, because for entry into the EU it is valid for only ten days from the day it is issued.

private flight with animals

What Germany and the UK ask for:

  • A microchip, fitted before or at the same time as the rabies vaccination, never after it;
  • A rabies vaccination given when the animal was at least 12 weeks old, with 21 days passed before travel;
  • An animal health certificate from your vet for each trip, valid for ten days for entry into the EU and, for the return to Great Britain, as stated on the certificate;
  • Entry through a travellers' point of entry, where the documents are checked, which we arrange with the handler at the executive terminal;
  • No more than five animals per traveller;
  • For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival back in Britain. Cats do not need it.

What catches owners out on the Düsseldorf run

– Germany is not among the countries that require tapeworm treatment on the way in, so the vet visit that matters is the one before the flight home. Book it in Düsseldorf for the last full day and have the time written on the paperwork, because the window is narrow;

– A pet passport issued in England, Scotland or Wales cannot be used to enter the EU. The certificate has to be a new one for each trip, and a rabies vaccination that runs out during the stay causes trouble on the way back;

– A Carnival or Christmas weekend with a dog is an ordinary booking, but the hotel and any helicopter transfer must each accept the animal, and a fair-week hotel is the place where that is most often forgotten.

Rules for ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected in our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken.

The Düsseldorf calendar: fairs, Carnival and the Japanese spring

Düsseldorf has no dead season, but it has a rhythm. The fairground fills in January, March, May, the late summer, October and November; Carnival takes the late winter, the Japanese community takes a day in May, and the Christmas markets close the year. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.

January
boot Düsseldorf, the water-sports and boat show, takes over the fairground in late January. The hotels are full of exhibitors and buyers, and boat owners and dealers are among the clients who charter
February or March
Carnival. The season opens on 11 November at 11:11 and peaks with the Rosenmontag parade, usually in February or early March. Streets close for the parades and the hotels fill, so book the car and the hotel before the aircraft
March and April
ProWein, the wine and spirits fair, in March, and the beauty fairs, among them Beauty and Top Hair, in April. Both draw visitors from many countries, and the demand for charters is real but spread over a few days
May
Japan Day, ending with a firework display, draws several hundred thousand visitors to the home of the largest Japanese community in Germany. In years when drupa, the printing trade fair, is held, it takes the fairground in May as well
July
The Largest Fair on the Rhine, nine days in the third week of July on the left bank in Oberkassel, facing the old town. A leisure event, with small private parties and short stays
Late August to September
Caravan Salon, the caravan and motorhome show, at the turn of August and September. Heavy road traffic and full hotels, though less charter demand than the industrial fairs
October
The industrial month: the K plastics fair every three years, and glasstec and A+A on their own cycles. Corporate parties, fixed dates and a lot of luggage
November
Medica, the large medical trade fair, usually mid-November, and the Carnival season opening on the 11th. One of the busiest fortnights for hotels in the Rhineland
Late November to 30 December
The Christmas markets in the old town and along the Königsallee, with the Wheel of Vision at the Burgplatz and an ice rink on the Kö. Weekend city breaks by air, mostly small parties and often with a dog
Football season
Fortuna Düsseldorf play at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, which holds 54,600 for football and has also staged European Championship matches and the Eurovision Song Contest. Weekend fixtures are a minor factor for charters, and concerts matter more

Why a fair week costs more

Not the flying. What tightens is hotels, cars and the clock. A fair that closes in the evening sends hundreds of visitors to the airport at once, and the executive terminal has a fixed evening window to work in. A booking made ten days before a big fair can still be done, but it costs more and may mean an aircraft brought in from another airport. The same trip booked five or six weeks ahead is simpler and cheaper. Outside those weeks Düsseldorf is an easy city to fly into, and a charter can often be set up in a day or two.

Ways to bring the Düsseldorf price down

  • Move the dates by a few days. Fair openings and closings carry the premium, and the same meeting on the Wednesday after a fair ends is much easier to staff and to price;
  • Ask where the aircraft is based. A jet already at Cologne, Amsterdam or Frankfurt needs far less positioning than one flying out from Britain, and on a sector of about an hour positioning is a large share of the bill;
  • Take the light jet unless the luggage says otherwise. Four people and four bags do not need a midsize, and the saving pays for the car and the hotel.

Types of flights

Düsseldorf produces a different mix from the Alpine or Mediterranean destinations we cover, because it is a business and trade-fair city with a large international community and one of the best-known shopping streets in Germany.

  • Trade-fair and corporate travel, tied to the exhibition centre and to the headquarters of manufacturers, retailers, utilities and advertising firms, where the dates are fixed and arriving on time is the main concern;
  • Day trips from London, which at about an hour each way are among the easiest working days on the continent;
  • Japanese and other Asian business travel, linked to the large Japanese community and the firms that serve it, sometimes continuing to Frankfurt or Munich;
  • Shopping and city weekends, built around the Königsallee, the old town and the Medienhafen, and in winter around Carnival and the Christmas markets;
  • Rhine-Ruhr and Benelux business hops to Cologne, Essen, Dortmund, Amsterdam and Brussels, often tied in with a Düsseldorf stop;
  • Onward travel to the Alps, the Riviera and the Gulf, usually when a party has combined business with leisure.

The day trip deserves a closer look. A same-day return means the aircraft and crew wait for you rather than going home, and that waiting is paid for, but the total still comes out below two separate one-way charters. Leaving at eight and flying back at six gives you most of a working day on the Rhine and your own bed at night, and on this route we quote it both ways so the difference is visible.

Empty Legs

An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. Around Düsseldorf they follow the fair calendar closely, and it helps to know what produces them.

Where Düsseldorf empty legs come from

– Fair openings and closings. Aircraft arrive with exhibitors and buyers and often leave empty a day or so later, which produces outbound legs in the days that follow;

– Carnival and Christmas weekends. Aircraft come in on the Friday and go home on the Sunday, and that evening return is the leg most often offered;

– Rhine-Ruhr and Benelux rotation. Operators move aircraft between Düsseldorf, Cologne, Dortmund and the Dutch airports, and the short hops between them can be very cheap.

Because the corridor to the Rhine is shorter than the long-haul routes, empty legs are less frequent than the volume of traffic suggests, and a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can disappear when the original booking changes. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Düsseldorf fair week the day an operator releases a leg.

Helicopter charter

In the Rhine-Ruhr a helicopter is a tool for the gaps between airfields and not for the middle of a trip. Düsseldorf, Cologne, Essen and Dortmund are close enough that a rotor can link them without a runway at either end, but German law does not let a helicopter land wherever it likes.

– A landing away from an approved airfield needs a permit from the state aviation authority, which in this region is the Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf. Only a licensed operator can apply, at least ten working days before the date, with the landowner's consent and the consent of the local public-order office. A hotel lawn or a company car park has to be cleared before we quote, not after;

– Weather sets the schedule. Low cloud or fog on the Rhine can ground a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without difficulty, so a transfer needs a road or rail alternative in the same plan;

– Twin-engine machines are the sensible minimum for any transfer across a built-up area. In a fair week or on a Christmas weekend, book the helicopter together with the jet or expect to be told there is no capacity.

The machines on this ground are the Airbus H125 for light work, the wider H130 for estate transfers, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and the H155 for larger parties. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Düsseldorf charters from the booking notes: six typical trips

What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.

DAY TRIP · OUT AND BACK

A lunch on the Rhine and home for dinner

London City - Düsseldorf and return, Citation CJ3+, about 1 h 00 min each way · 3 pax

Wheels up at eight, on the ground at about ten local time, a car at the executive terminal and a table booked for noon. The aircraft and crew waited for the afternoon rather than going home, which is a real line in the quote and still comes in below two one-way charters. They were back in the City before the evening rush ended.

TRADE FAIR · FIXED DATES

A delegation for the November medical fair

London Luton - Düsseldorf, Citation XLS+, about 1 h 00 min · 8 pax

The organisers set the dates, not the client. Eight people with laptops, printed folders and a request for a car at the aircraft door. The booking went in six weeks ahead, the handler pre-arranged the passport check at the terminal, and the hotel rooms near the fairground were secured before they were gone.

THE LATE RULE · THE CLOCK CHOSE THE AIRPORT

A dinner that ran long

Biggin Hill - Düsseldorf out, Cologne Bonn - Biggin Hill back, Phenom 300E · 5 pax

The client planned a dinner that began at nine, and the quote assumed a departure at half past ten. Düsseldorf plans no departures after 22:00 without an individual exemption, so the return went from Cologne Bonn, which works at night, with a car waiting at the restaurant door. The extra drive was in the quote from the start.

CARNIVAL WEEKEND · A DOG ON BOARD

Four adults and a spaniel in February

Farnborough - Düsseldorf, Phenom 300E, about 1 h 05 min · 4 pax + dog

The animal health certificate had to be dated within ten days of arrival, and the vet in Düsseldorf had to see the dog for the tapeworm treatment between 24 and 120 hours before the flight home. We booked both with the aircraft, and the hotel on the Rhine promenade agreed to take the dog in a single exchange of messages.

HEAVY CABIN · ON TO THE GULF

A board party flying on from the Rhine

Düsseldorf - Dubai, Bombardier Global 6000 · 10 pax

The party reached Düsseldorf from London by a light jet, spent a day in the city, and left in the afternoon on a long-range aircraft that took on fuel at Düsseldorf for a sector of around 2,800 nautical miles. Two aircraft, one timetable, and a departure well inside the airport's evening window.

EMPTY LEG · SUNDAY EVENING WEST

A jet already going your way

Düsseldorf - London Luton, Phenom 300E empty leg, about 1 h 05 min · 3 pax

The aircraft had brought a party in for a weekend and was heading home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for a Sunday evening departure to the London fields.

Frequently asked questions about flying to Düsseldorf

1How long is a private jet flight from London to Düsseldorf?

About an hour from London City or Biggin Hill in a light jet, and 1 hour 5 minutes from Luton or Farnborough, covering roughly 262 to 294 nautical miles. From Southampton, Birmingham, Manchester or Bristol allow about 1 hour 5 to 10 minutes, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow around an hour and a half. Germany is one hour ahead of Britain, so a departure at eight lands at about ten local time.

2How much does a private jet to Düsseldorf cost?

From about £5,300 one way on a light jet out of London City, Biggin Hill, Luton or Farnborough. A Phenom 300E from Southampton, the Midlands and the north runs £5,700 to £6,350, and from Scotland allow £9,000 to £9,400. The large fair weeks, Carnival and the Christmas weekends price above these figures.

3Which airport should a private jet use for Düsseldorf?

Düsseldorf International (DUS / EDDL) for almost every trip. It is about 7 km north of the centre, has runways of 3,000 m and 2,700 m, and an executive terminal run by Jet Aviation with passport control and customs on site. For a departure after the evening restrictions use Cologne Bonn (CGN / EDDK), which operates round the clock.

4Can a private jet leave Düsseldorf late in the evening?

Only in limited cases. The airport plans departures until 22:00 and landings until 23:00, with late landings by qualifying jets tolerated to 23:30, and from 23:00 to 06:00 there are no planned movements. A later departure needs an individual exemption from the aviation supervisory authority, which is used sparingly. For a dinner or a meeting that may overrun we usually plan the return from Cologne Bonn.

5When should I book a private jet to Düsseldorf?

Outside the peaks a day or two is usually enough. For the January boat show, the March wine fair, the autumn industrial fairs, the November medical fair, Carnival and the Christmas weekends, allow four to six weeks. Hotels and cars tighten on the same days, and a late booking tends to pay more for an aircraft brought in from another airport.

6Can I take my dog to Düsseldorf on a private jet?

Yes. With the operator's agreement the dog travels in the cabin with you. It needs a microchip, a rabies vaccination at least 21 days old and an animal health certificate that is valid for ten days for entry into the EU. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival. Cats do not need the treatment.
