Private jet charter in Almaty
Leave a London airfield at eight in the morning and the aircraft touches down at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau a little after seven in the evening, local time, in summer, on a sector so long that no light jet will fly it without stopping. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around the aircraft, the permit and the days on the ground. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Almaty International is open round the clock, has two runways of 4,500 m and 4,400 m and lies about 15 km from the centre. What remains to settle is the cabin, a landing permit that needs at least three working days, and how much of Kazakhstan beyond the city you want to see.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Almaty depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 flying nonstop and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Almaty?
About seven hours and a quarter from the London fields and a little more from the Midlands and the south-west, in still air; the prevailing westerly wind usually makes the flight home longer than the flight out. Depending on the British airfield the distance runs from 3,116 to 3,262 nautical miles, measured with an allowance for the routing, and our figures assume a path across south-eastern Europe, Turkey, the Caucasus and the Caspian side. Kazakhstan keeps a single clock, five hours ahead of UTC with no summer change, so Almaty is four hours ahead of Britain in summer and five in winter. The table gives the sector from each British field we use, flown nonstop in an Embraer Praetor 600.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall
Wheels up from a London field at eight in the morning is a little after seven in the evening in Almaty in summer and a little after eight in winter, because the local clock runs four or five hours ahead. The airport lies about 15 km north-east of the city, so the drive to a hotel is short on the map and slower in the evening traffic, and most clients treat the arrival day as travel and begin work the next morning. Going home, an early departure from Almaty lands in Britain the same morning by the clock, so a night in the city before the flight is worth planning in.
Routes, permits and conditions: what we check before every quote
A flight from Britain to Kazakhstan crosses the airspace of several countries on the way, and the operator chooses the corridor. That choice depends on overflight permissions, the weather and conditions in the region, which can change the preferred routing at short notice, together with the fuel plan and the insurance terms. For the landing itself, a foreign private aircraft needs permission from the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan. The Kazakh aeronautical information publication says applications are accepted around the clock, that permission for an international non-scheduled flight is issued free of charge, and that the application should reach the Committee no later than three working days before the flight. It asks for the operator's air operator certificate and operations specifications, the registration and airworthiness certificates, third-party and passenger liability insurance, the purpose of the flight, the number of passengers, the route with its entry and exit points and the schedule in UTC. We treat an Almaty quote as conditional until the operator has confirmed the route, the permit and the arrival arrangements in writing, and we suggest reading the FCDO travel advice for Kazakhstan before you commit.
Which cabin for a sector of 3,116 to 3,262 nautical miles
– A super-midsize jet is the practical floor for a nonstop flight. The Embraer Praetor 600 has a published range of about 3,900 nautical miles, which covers every field in the table with a reserve. The Bombardier Challenger 350 is published at about 3,200, which sits on the edge of the distances in the table and leaves no reserve, so we do not quote it nonstop;
– The Cessna Citation Latitude is published at about 2,700 nautical miles and needs a technical stop on the way, and the lighter jets have less range still. Taking a Latitude from Biggin Hill with one stop adds roughly an hour, a second landing permit and a second set of fees, and on the same formula that puts the trip at about £66,450 and 8 h 30 min in the air, against £49,900 and 7 h 20 min for the Praetor flying direct. The cheaper hourly rate does not survive the stop;
– Past eight passengers, or when the party wants to sleep and work in the air, we quote a large-cabin or long-range jet next to the Praetor. Gulfstream G450, Global 6000 and the G650 family are the ones that tend to appear on this run, and the extra money buys a proper bed on the way home.

Prices for the private jet flights to Almaty
Typical trips from Britain, cheapest first, all flown nonstop in a super-midsize jet into Almaty International. Ski weeks, the peak of the New Year holidays and the September weeks sit above these figures, and the calendar block further down explains when.

The spread across Britain is narrow. A Praetor 600 out of Newcastle is £49,450 and the same aircraft out of Cardiff is £51,650, a difference of about £2,200, because on a sector of this length the hours in the air decide the bill and the starting field barely moves it. A large-cabin or long-range jet lifts the whole table, and a round trip with the aircraft waiting in Almaty is priced differently from two single legs. For a stay of several days we quote both.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Private jet flights from Almaty
Kazakhstan is a large country with few airports that matter to a private client, and the neighbours are close in the air and far apart by road. Astana is a short jet hop, Bishkek is about forty minutes away and Tashkent about an hour and a quarter, and the Gulf and Istanbul are the first real sectors beyond Central Asia. Astana by air: the capital is a different trip
Astana lies about 534 nautical miles north-west of Almaty, roughly an hour and a half in a light jet, and it is the political capital of the country, so government and delegation business tends to be done there and not in the south. Astana International (NQZ / UACC) has a 3,500 m runway, a private VIP terminal and a separate business aviation terminal, which makes it the natural landing point for a party whose real destination is a ministry or the annual international forum held in the capital. The usual pattern for clients who need both cities is to land in Astana, finish the official part, and fly on to Almaty for the mountains, with the same aircraft and crew staying on one booking.
Before you accept a Kazakh onward quote
– Which airport, and who handles it. A quote that names only a city is a quote that will change. Handling and the landing permit are arranged airport by airport, so we put the airport, the handler and the permit status into the offer;
– Whether a domestic leg is allowed. Whether a foreign-registered aircraft may fly a Kazakh domestic sector is a question for the Civil Aviation Committee and not an assumption, so we ask before pricing a loop that includes two Kazakh cities;
– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Almaty, Astana and back over several days costs noticeably less arranged as a single trip, because the aircraft and crew stay with you instead of repositioning between stops.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Almaty:
Super-midsize, the working choice from Britain
The Praetor 600 has the range for the nonstop run with no more cabin than the party needs. The Challenger 350 sits at the edge of its range on this sector, so it is quoted with a lighter load or a stop. The operator confirms the fuel plan for your passenger count before the offer is final.
Large cabins, for delegations and long days
For ten or more passengers and for a team that works in the air. Where a full cabin cannot make the sector in one hop, we plan a lighter load or a stop and show you both figures.
Long-range heavies
The comfortable answer on a seven-hour sector: a proper bed for the return, space for a delegation and range to spare. Worth the money when the same aircraft carries on to Asia.
Light and midsize jets, for the legs inside Central Asia
The right aircraft for Astana, Bishkek and Tashkent. From Britain they need one or two stops, so we quote them only for the regional hops.
Helicopters
Not for the flight from Britain but for the mountains behind Almaty. Landing sites and permission are agreed in advance, and the machine is chosen for the task once the site is confirmed.

This is a small part of what is available. Aircraft are based in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia and the Gulf, so for a booking outside the busiest weeks there is sometimes a jet already in the region, and that is occasionally where the better price comes from. For the flight out from Britain, though, the aircraft usually comes from a European base, and the positioning is part of the quote.

Business aviation airports in Almaty
One airport carries the private traffic to the city. The others matter for onward trips and for the capital, and it helps to know which is which before a quote arrives with the wrong one in it.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Almaty International ALA / UAAA |
The airport for Almaty and for nearly every private flight to southern Kazakhstan. About 15 km north-east of the centre at 681 m above sea level, with two parallel runways of 4,500 m and 4,400 m that take any aircraft we send. The published hours for the airport, customs and immigration, handling and fuelling are all round the clock, and no noise restriction or night curfew is listed. Fuel is TS-1 and RT, the latter equivalent to Jet A-1, and hangar space is available on prior request. The historic VIP building was dismantled and rebuilt as a copy meant mainly for state delegations, while a new international terminal with its own lounges serves airline passengers, so for a private charter the practical contact is the licensed handler we name in the offer |
| Astana International NQZ / UACC |
The capital's airport, south-east of the city and 534 nautical miles from Almaty. A 3,500 m runway, a private VIP terminal and a business aviation terminal. It is the right landing point for a ministry visit or the international forum, and a poor one for the mountains, which lie about 990 km away by air |
| Bishkek, Manas UCFM |
A different country, about 118 nautical miles from Almaty and 25 km from the Kyrgyz capital, with a 4,204 m runway. It is useful only when the trip is really to Kyrgyzstan, since it has its own landing permission and its own entry rules |
Four points settle most Almaty arrivals:
Choose the handler
Handler listings for Almaty name several companies, among them Prime Aviation, which also offers hangar parking in Almaty and Astana, and Kazakhstan Air Services. The airport's own VIP facility is oriented towards government delegations. Tell us which meeting point your car and guests are expecting, and we name the handler and the terminal in the offer.
Hours, slots and permits
The airport and customs are open round the clock and the Kazakh publication lists no curfew, so a late arrival is possible. The landing permit from the Civil Aviation Committee needs at least three working days, so a Friday request for a Monday flight is already tight. We file it with the handler and ask for the parking and handling confirmation together.
Border and passport
British citizens may visit Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days for business or tourism, with no more than 90 days in any 180. The passport must be valid for at least 30 days after arrival and have a blank page. The hotel registers the arrival within three working days.
Car and the mountains
Almaty sits under the mountains and the roads out of the city fill in the evening. Give us the hotel, not only the airport, and say whether the first morning is a ski day, because a car for Shymbulak is a separate booking from the airport run.

Border, passport and the first hour
For a British passport holder the entry position is simpler than most clients expect. The UK government says a British citizen can visit Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days for business or tourism, as many times as they like, provided the stays do not add up to more than 90 days in any 180. The passport needs at least 30 days of validity from the arrival date and a blank page, and the hotel or the host registers the arrival with the Kazakh authorities within three working days. Cash above 10,000 US dollars must be declared on arrival, and the same limit applies to foreign currency taken out, which is a point worth telling a delegation before it packs. Customs and immigration are open round the clock, and because the permit application carries the number of passengers, the passenger list we file with the handler must match the passports exactly. On the way home Britain applies its own rule for private flights: the General Aviation Report is filed no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 2 hours before departure, and we file it for you. Passengers on a passport other than a British or Irish one should check whether they need a UK electronic travel authorisation before returning.

From the apron to the mountains
Almaty is a city built on a slope, with the Trans-Ili Alatau closing the horizon to the south, and what a visitor wants is mostly above it or far east of it. The distances that matter run up the valleys and out across the steppe to the canyons.

Flying to Almaty with a dog or a cat
Kazakhstan does not appear in the table of listed countries on GOV.UK, from which Britain accepts a pet on simplified terms, and that decides the shape of the trip. The flight is seven hours and the animal normally travels with you in the cabin, but the paperwork for the way home has to be started months ahead and not days.

What Kazakhstan typically asks for when a dog or cat arrives from Britain:
- A rabies vaccination given between 21 days and 12 months before arrival, with an ISO microchip recommended;
- A veterinary health certificate issued by a vet within ten days of travel, normally endorsed by the veterinary authorities, with the rabies certificate attached;
- Translations of the certificates, which are typically requested, and the entry point confirmed in advance, which for an animal arriving by air has been Almaty;
- No import permit for a personal pet, according to the guidance we use, though we confirm this for your dates because the Kazakh veterinary service can change the form;
- For the return to Britain, a Great Britain pet health certificate and a rabies blood test, set out in the box below.
What catches owners out on the Almaty run
– The blood test comes first. Britain treats Kazakhstan as a country that is not listed, so a pet coming home needs a rabies blood sample taken at least 30 days after the vaccination, sent to an approved laboratory with a result of at least 0.5 IU/ml, and then a wait of three months from the sample date before it may enter Britain. A trip of a week therefore needs the test done before you leave, not during the stay;
– A dog also needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival in Britain, recorded with product, date and time, so it is a vet appointment booked in Almaty towards the end of the stay. Cats do not need it;
– A pet that does not meet the rules on arrival can be quarantined for up to four months. On a private flight, the question of which airport an animal may enter through and whether it may stay in the cabin is not settled by a printed rule we can point to, so we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken.
The Almaty calendar: a ski winter and a mountain summer
Almaty has two busy seasons and a long run of quiet weeks between them. Winter belongs to the slopes above the city, spring to the orchards and the national holiday, and early autumn to the mountains and the marathon. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.
Why a ski week costs more
Not the flying. The sector is long and aircraft that can fly it nonstop are far fewer than the light jets that serve Europe, so when a festive week or a ski fortnight draws several parties at once, the supply of suitable aircraft in Europe tightens first. Hotel rooms and cars in the city move in the same days. A booking made a fortnight before the New Year week can still be done, but it pays more and may use an aircraft positioned from further away. The same booking made two months earlier is simpler and cheaper. Outside those weeks, and especially in late spring and autumn, Almaty is a straightforward place to arrange a flight, provided the permit is asked for early.
Ways to bring the Almaty price down
- Move the dates a few days, away from the New Year week and from the Nauryz and May holiday weekends. The weeks between the seasons are calmer and the permits are quicker to arrange;
- Ask for the permit early. A complete application with the aircraft, crew, handler and passenger details in order goes through faster than one that has to be corrected, and a late revision costs time a charter cannot spare;
- Choose the cabin for the sector. A super-midsize jet flies the route without a stop, while a smaller one adds a stop with its own permit, so the cheaper hourly rate is not always the cheaper trip;
- Book the return at the same time. A round trip with the aircraft waiting in Almaty is priced differently from two single flights, and the difference is worth asking about.
Types of flights
Almaty produces a different mix from the European cities we cover, because it is a commercial and cultural centre, a mountain destination and the starting point for onward travel across Central Asia.
- Business and delegation travel, tied to the commercial life of the former capital and to meetings in Astana, where dates are fixed and the permit lead time is the main concern;
- Winter sports trips to Shymbulak, usually a week or ten days and often with a family and a lot of luggage;
- Spring and summer touring to Charyn Canyon, the Kolsai Lakes and Big Almaty Lake, flown into Almaty and continued by road or, for the shorter distances, by helicopter;
- Onward legs to Tashkent, Bishkek, the Gulf and Istanbul for clients whose aircraft carries on and does not turn round;
- Positioning flights, where a client travels on a leg the aircraft was making anyway.
A same-day return from London is not a practical plan on this route. The aircraft and crew would spend nearly fifteen hours in the air and the working window in Almaty would not exist. A better pattern is to leave in the morning, spend two or three nights on the ground, and fly back with the aircraft waiting for you, which we quote next to two separate one-way flights so the difference is visible.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. On the Almaty route they come from the pattern of seasons and from the aircraft that fly in and out of Central Asia and the Gulf, and it helps to know what produces them.
Where Almaty empty legs come from
– Ski and holiday weeks. When parties fly in for the New Year or a ski fortnight, the aircraft often leave empty a day or two later, which produces outbound legs towards Europe in the days after;
– Fleet movements. Business jets based in the region are moved according to demand, so a jet that has taken a party to Almaty may need to come back empty, and the reverse;
– Regional rotation. Aircraft that fly a party to Almaty from Astana, Tashkent, Dubai or Istanbul often return empty, and the short regional legs between those places can be cheap.
Because the long sector between Britain and Central Asia is flown less often than a European city pair, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag an Almaty match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
In Almaty a helicopter is a tool for the edges of a trip and not the middle. The airport is 15 km from the centre and the city is crossed by car, and the places where rotary flight changes the day are the mountain valleys and the canyons east of the city. Times below are estimates at a typical cruise of about 120 knots and are confirmed with the operator.
the ski resort 25 km from the centre, reached otherwise by road and gondolaabout 10 minutes
about 200 km east; any landing inside the national park is subject to approvalabout 55 minutes
about 300 km east, against four to six hours by road; the border zone around the upper lake needs a permitabout 1 h 20 min
a scenic loop of the mountains above the city, flown in daylight and good weatheron request
Before you plan around a helicopter
– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. Each pick-up and set-down point needs the approval of the operator and the authorities, and in a national park or a border zone it may need more than that, so the exact sites are agreed before we quote, not after;
– Mountain weather sets the schedule. Cloud in the valleys can stop a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without trouble, so a mountain transfer needs a road alternative planned into the same day;
– We choose the machine for the party and the task and book it together with the jet, to keep both crews on one timetable.
We do not publish a fixed fleet list for Kazakhstan, because the aircraft that are available change with the operator and the task. Tell us the sites and the number of passengers, and we come back with the machine, the price and the permission status in one reply.

Biggin Hill, Luton, Stansted and Farnborough send most of the traffic on this corridor, with Southampton, Birmingham and Bristol behind them and Manchester, Newcastle and Scotland at the long end; the price table higher up covers thirteen of those pairings. London City is left out because its runway is too short for a sector of this length. Our clients have access to all airports of the UK and Europe. Due to the unique partnership conditions, we can offer our clients the best prices for business aviation services. Our experts will consult you on the availability of private jets in a particular city and help you choose the best option.

Almaty charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
SKI WEEK · THE LUGGAGE BOOKED THE CABIN
Eight guests, ski bags and a morning departure
Farnborough - Almaty, Praetor 600, about 7 h 25 min · 8 pax
A family and friends party bound for Shymbulak at the turn of the year. Boots, skis and cold-weather clothing filled the hold, and the quote carried the car to the mountain as a separate line. The landing permit was filed a week ahead, well beyond the three working days the Committee asks, which left room for a change of passenger list.
DELEGATION · TWO CITIES, ONE AIRCRAFT
London to Almaty and on to Astana
Luton - Almaty, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min, then Almaty - Astana by CJ3+ · 5 pax
A business group with meetings in the south and then in the capital. The long sector was flown in the Praetor and the Astana hop in a light jet, so the cost of a large cabin was not paid on the short leg, and both permits were filed together.
SPRING TOURING · CANYONS AND LAKES
A week of Charyn, Kolsai and the city
Biggin Hill - Almaty, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 4 pax
A small group of friends who wanted the landscapes more than the hotels. The jet waited in Almaty for the week, which we priced beside two separate one-way flights, and the road days to Charyn and Kolsai were planned with a local driver. The border permit for the upper Kolsai lake was started early because it cannot be arranged in a day.
WITH A DOG · THE PAPERWORK DECIDED THE DATE
A labrador and a rabies blood test
Manchester - Almaty, Praetor 600, about 7 h 25 min · 3 pax + 1 dog
The trip was ready in days, the dog was not. Because Britain does not list Kazakhstan, the blood test had to be taken three months before the day of return, so the date was set by the vet and not by the diary. The tapeworm treatment was booked in Almaty for the last two days.
LONG HAUL · ONE AIRCRAFT, ASIA BEYOND
Almaty as the first stop of a longer tour
Edinburgh - Almaty, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 7 pax
An itinerary that carried on east after Almaty. The client first asked for a smaller jet to save money, and the quote showed that a stop on the way out and another on the way back would cost more than the Praetor flying direct, so the larger cabin won on price as well as on comfort.
EMPTY LEG · A THREE-DAY WINDOW
Almaty back to London on a repositioning flight
Almaty - London, aircraft returning empty · 4 pax
An aircraft had brought a party in for a winter holiday and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for a departure to the London fields.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Almaty
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Almaty?
About 7 hours 20 minutes from Biggin Hill in an Embraer Praetor 600, and between 7 hours 15 minutes and 7 hours 35 minutes from the other British fields, covering roughly 3,116 to 3,262 nautical miles. Almaty is four hours ahead of Britain in summer and five in winter, so an eight o'clock departure lands in the evening, local time.
2How much does a private jet to Almaty cost?
From about £49,450 one way in a super-midsize jet, and £49,900 from Biggin Hill. The price varies little with the British airport, from £49,450 to £51,650 across thirteen fields. A smaller jet needs a technical stop and does not come out cheaper: a Citation Latitude from Biggin Hill with one stop is about £66,450. Ski weeks and the New Year period price above these figures.
3Which airport should a private jet use for Almaty?
Almaty International (ALA / UAAA) for almost every trip. It is about 15 km from the centre, has two runways of 4,500 m and 4,400 m, and publishes round-the-clock hours for the airport, customs and immigration, handling and fuel. Astana International (NQZ / UACC), about 534 nautical miles away, is the choice when the business is in the capital.
4Do British visitors need a visa for Kazakhstan?
No, for a stay of up to 30 days for business or tourism. A British citizen may make as many visits as they like but must not spend more than 90 days in any 180. The passport needs at least 30 days of validity from arrival and a blank page, the hotel registers the arrival within three working days, and cash above 10,000 US dollars must be declared.
5How far ahead should I book a private jet to Almaty?
Allow at least a week. Kazakhstan asks for the landing permit application no later than three working days before the flight, and the overflight permissions along the route have to be in place as well. For the New Year week, ski fortnights and the September marathon weekend, book four to six weeks ahead, because suitable long-range aircraft are fewer than on a European route.
6Can I take my dog to Almaty on a private jet?
Usually yes: the dog normally travels in the cabin with you, and we confirm the entry point and the paperwork in writing before the flight. Kazakhstan typically asks for a rabies vaccination, a veterinary certificate issued within ten days of travel and sometimes translations. For the return Britain treats Kazakhstan as a non-listed country, so the dog needs a rabies blood test, a three-month wait from the sample date, a Great Britain pet health certificate and a tapeworm treatment 24 to 120 hours before landing. Cats do not need the treatment.
