Business aviation airports in Copenhagen

Copenhagen is one of the few capitals in Europe where the main airport actively prefers not to take your aircraft. Kastrup is the largest airport in the Nordic countries, moved thirty-two million passengers in 2025, and routes general aviation to Roskilde as the normal arrangement rather than as an exception. Both fields belong to the same company, so this is a deliberate division of labour and not a snub.

Kastrup is still worth asking for in specific cases. If your aircraft is an ultra-long-range type arriving from outside Europe, if you are connecting onto a scheduled flight, or if the meeting is genuinely at the airport, it makes sense. The historic Wilhelm Lauritzen terminal there handles state visits and royal movements, but access to it is not something a charter can simply book. What you should not do is assume Kastrup and discover otherwise on the morning of the flight.

 

 

Flying to Copenhagen with a dog or a cat

Denmark is inside the European pet travel scheme and the paperwork is the standard set, which makes this one of the more straightforward pet routes we handle. There is one Danish rule that has nothing to do with paperwork and that we raise before anything else.

For everything else, the requirements are the familiar European ones:

• An ISO 11784/11785 microchip, implanted before the rabies vaccination rather than after it;
• A rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel;
• An animal health certificate issued by an official vet in Britain within 10 days of travel;
• Praziquantel from a vet 24 to 120 hours before landing back in Britain, recorded with the date and the product. Dogs only; cats are exempt. Denmark itself does not require it on the way out.

Copenhagen as a destination

Copenhagen is a working capital that happens to be extremely pleasant, and the balance of our traffic reflects it: more board meetings than holidays, and a lot of trips that are one night rather than a week. The city is small enough to cross by bicycle in half an hour and dense enough that most of what you came for is within that circle.

What changed the place in the last twenty years was food. The New Nordic movement started here and the city now holds a concentration of serious restaurants out of all proportion to its size, which is itself a reason a number of these charters exist. The other draw is design, both the shops and the buildings, and the fact that the harbour is clean enough to swim in from the middle of town.
