Private jet charter in Bangladesh
A private jet from London to Dhaka flies about 5,000 nautical miles as planned, and the aircraft you choose decides whether that journey is made in one hop or two. Private Jets UK plans a Bangladeshi charter around that choice and around two things that fix the date: a landing permit and a place on an apron shared with a busy airline schedule. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. For Bangladesh that means a permit with every name on it, parking agreed in advance, and a straight answer on which smaller airports a business jet can use.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter to Bangladesh depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 to Dhaka with one technical stop in Dubai and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Bangladesh?
Bangladesh keeps one time all year, six hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and five ahead of British Summer Time, so a morning departure from London lands in Dhaka after dark. These are the sectors from London Biggin Hill on the lowest-priced aircraft that can fly them, counting about an hour on the ground at any technical stop:
5,053 nautical miles planned, the capital and the airport where foreign business jets are handled most routinelyabout 12 h 35 min
5,152 nautical miles planned, the port city, with the second international airportabout 12 h 50 min
5,124 nautical miles planned, the tea country, and the home district of many British Bangladeshi familiesabout 12 h 45 min
5,172 nautical miles planned, the beach resort, served by a domestic airportabout 12 h 50 min
4,991 nautical miles planned, the western airfield, nearest to Khulnaabout 12 h 25 min
Why the planned distance is longer than the map distance
Drawn straight across the map, London to Dhaka is about 4,300 nautical miles. No operator files that line. The track is planned clear of the airspace insurers and regulators advise against, which means a southern route over south-eastern Europe, Turkey and the Gulf. Measured that way the sector to Dhaka is 5,053 nautical miles.
A quote therefore uses the planned figure, so the price describes the flight that will actually be flown, and nothing is confirmed until the operator holds every overflight approval.
The same arithmetic decides where a smaller aircraft stops. The Embraer Praetor 600 is rated at 4,018 nautical miles and we plan each leg at about 85 percent of a published range, which puts Dubai, 3,067 nautical miles from Biggin Hill, in the plan as the landing, with 1,986 still to fly to Dhaka. A Gulfstream G650ER or a Global 7500 covers the whole 5,053 miles without landing, in about 10 h 25 min, unless a full cabin or a headwind brings a stop back.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

What these figures leave out
– The airport moves the price a little and the aircraft moves it a lot. From London Biggin Hill the Praetor 600 reaches Dhaka for about £78,750, Chittagong for about £80,250 and Sylhet for about £79,800, so the three cities sit within £1,500 of each other, while the step from a Praetor to a Global 6000 is tens of thousands of pounds.
– Handling and landing charges at the technical stop, the permits with the handler's fee, route navigation charges set by aircraft weight and the airport charges in Bangladesh are quoted on top. The figures are one-way, and on a sector this long a one-way price carries the empty flight home.
Private jet flights within Bangladesh and to its neighbours
Bangladesh is compact. Dhaka to Chittagong is 129 nautical miles, Dhaka to Sylhet 109, and Dhaka to Cox's Bazar 174, which is less than an hour in any jet. Kolkata, Kathmandu and Bangkok are the usual neighbours. The figures below show the scale of each hop and are not a firm price, because a leg is quoted by the operator who will fly it:

Before you plan a loop of Bangladeshi cities
– A landing permit names airports and dates, so a programme of Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong is applied for as one itinerary, and a change to it can mean an amendment;
– Whether the jet from Britain may also carry you between Bangladeshi cities is confirmed in writing for every trip. Where it may not, a local operator or a helicopter flies the short legs.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Bangladesh:
Long range and ultra-long range
The cabins that cross from Britain to Dhaka in one hop, with a flat bed for the long hours.
Large cabins
For ten or twelve people, planned with a stop in the Gulf. The Praetor 600 is the lowest-priced aircraft to Dhaka.
Super-midsize
For Dhaka to Sylhet or Chittagong, where a local operator can supply one.
Light jets
For short regional hops. The operator who flies the leg sets the rate.
Turboprops
Seldom the answer here; worth a question only for a short regional hop.

On a sector this long we look for an aircraft already positioned in the Gulf or in Britain, so the dates should reach us while they can still move.

Business aviation airports in Bangladesh
A foreign business jet lands only at the airports named in its permit. The first three rows are where nearly all of our flights go; the rest show what is realistic:
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal DAC / VGHS |
about 17 km north of the city centre, at about 9 metres above sea level | A single lit runway, 14/32, listed at 3,200 metres, shared with the airline schedule of the capital. The old VIP building near the main gate was demolished, VIP arrivals use a temporary terminal, and a VVIP complex is planned inside the new Terminal 3. One flight support firm is listed as FBO and handler, offering handling, pilot services and fuel, and other firms work through local agents, so we confirm in writing who receives your aircraft. Prior permission is required, and hours are agreed with the handler. Dhaka is the airport we plan first |
| Chittagong Shah Amanat CGP / VGEG |
on the south-western edge of Chittagong, about 20 km from the main commercial district, at about 4 metres above sea level | One lit concrete runway, 05/23, of about 2,940 metres. It is the second international airport of the country and a hub for the national airline, with VIP and VVIP parking zones beside the terminal. No general aviation terminal is described, so the handler and the customs arrangements are agreed for each trip. It suits port and shipping visits and the road south to Cox's Bazar |
| Sylhet Osmani ZYL / VGSY |
in the north-east of the country, at about 15 metres above sea level | One runway, 11/29, listed at between about 2,900 and 3,100 metres depending on the source, with a displaced threshold at the 11 end. The national airline flies from it to London Heathrow and Manchester, and a new terminal has been contracted. No general aviation terminal is published, so the handler is agreed for each trip, and pre-monsoon floods are a planning point |
| Cox's Bazar CXB / VGCB |
near the town and the beach, at about 4 metres above sea level | A single runway, 17/35, listed at roughly 2,070 metres in one source and 9,000 feet in another, so a performance check comes first. The airport is described as domestic, with work under way to make it international. Whether a foreign business jet may land is checked case by case; the usual plan is Chittagong or Dhaka and a short hop |
| Jessore (Jashore) JSR / VGJR |
in the south-west, in Khulna division, at about 6 metres above sea level | One lit asphalt runway, 16/34, of about 2,440 metres, named in the airport lists of firms that arrange Bangladeshi permits and the listed field nearest to Khulna. Business aviation facilities are not published, so a trip here is confirmed for the date |
| The Chittagong Hill Tracts Rangamati, Khagrachari, Bandarban |
the hills east of Chittagong | The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advises against all but essential travel to these districts. We do not quote sectors to them |
Four constraints shape every schedule:
Prior permission at every landing
The civil aviation authority issues the landing permit under prior permission rules. Operators are advised to apply four business days ahead for one mission, and fifteen business days ahead for a series of non-scheduled missions.
A separate overflight approval
An aircraft that only crosses Bangladesh needs its own approval, with the entry and exit points in the application.
Changes mean a new approval
A different registration, aircraft type, date, route or entry point can call for an amendment or a new approval, so the details are fixed first.
Shared apron, limited room
Dhaka is an airline airport first. Private flights may need slot coordination, and ramp space can be tight, so parking is agreed with the handler before the permit is requested.
What the permit asks about the aircraft and everyone aboard
Registration and type, operator and callsign, date and times, route and entry and exit points, and the purpose of the flight. The authority may also ask for the registration and airworthiness certificates, the insurance, an air operator certificate for a charter, and the details of each crew member and passenger. Route navigation charges are set by aircraft weight, and handling firms arrange parking, ground power, catering, crew assistance and Jet A-1, subject to what the airport can offer on the day.
Arriving from Britain: visas, health and what to carry
British citizens need a visa for Bangladesh unless the passport carries a no-visa-required stamp. For a private party the sensible course is to hold the visa before the aircraft leaves.
Needed for a stay of up to three months, applied for in advance through the Bangladeshi High Commission in London. A visa on arrival exists at Dhaka with online pre-registration, a return ticket and proof of funds, but it is single entry, valid for 15 to 30 days and granted at the officer's discretionbefore departure
Must expire at least six months after the visa start date, which is the issue date, with at least two blank pages. A damaged passport is refusedevery passenger
A business traveller can apply for a visa on arrival with a letter of introductionfor business
An electronic arrival card and departure card may be required. Get the entry stamp: its date is checked on exiton arrival and exit
A yellow fever certificate if arriving from a country with a risk of transmission, and a polio certificate in some circumstancesif asked
Declare anything prohibited, taxed or dutiable, and foreign currency above the limitat customs
What the Foreign Office says about the country itself
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advises against all but essential travel to the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the districts of Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban. It lists no area under advice against all travel.
It also notes that flash floods and landslides have affected the Hill Tracts, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet, and that pre-monsoon rain raises the flood risk in the north-east, with little warning. Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet are the airports on which this page is built.
Travel insurance can be invalidated by travel against Foreign Office advice, so check the policy before you fly.
Coming home is a flight into Britain: a General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation for Britain. The first landing must be at an aerodrome regulated for customs, since a landing at an unregulated one carries a fine of £2,500.

Which airport for which part of Bangladesh
Choose the airport by the address you are going to, and then check it against the permit. These are the usual pairings:
the capital, with its ministries, banks, embassies and buyers' offices, 17 km from the airportDhaka
the port, shipping offices and industrial zones; the road south leads to Cox's BazarChittagong
a domestic airport, so a foreign business jet is approved case by case; the usual plan is Chittagong or Dhaka and a short hopChittagong, then onward
airline links to London, convenient for family visits and the tea country, and exposed to pre-monsoon floodsSylhet
the Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel, and we do not quote sectors therenot quoted
Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and the coast: what our clients go for
Two kinds of passengers account for most of the demand. The first is a family going home: Biman Bangladesh Airlines flies from Sylhet to London Heathrow and Manchester, and many British Bangladeshi families trace their roots to that district, so weddings and long visits fill the cold season. The second is business: buyers, auditors and investors tied to the garment factories and the port.
Dhaka is the centre of both. Plan meetings with a margin for traffic and not for distance.
Chittagong is the commercial port and the start of the road south. Sylhet is greener and wetter, a land of tea estates. Cox's Bazar has one of the longest natural sea beaches in the world.
Bangladeshi seasons: the cool months, the heat and the monsoon
The weather decides the best week for a visit:
Mild and dry, the best window. January is the coolest month, with daytime averages of 16 to 20 degrees; winter haze is at its worst thencool and dry
Pre-monsoon heat. April is the hottest month, maxima can reach 38 to 41 degrees, and thunderstorms called nor'westers bring winds of up to 60 km/hhot
The monsoon brings about 80 percent of the year's rain, with Dhaka averaging 290 to 375 millimetres a month. Flooding happens nearly every year, and Sylhet is the wettest part of the countrywet
The rains fade. The cyclone season runs from April to November, with the highest risk in May and in October and Novemberstorm risk on the coast
The coast has its own storm calendar
For a Chittagong or Cox's Bazar itinerary in the storm months we keep a weather margin and agree with the handler where the aircraft will go if a storm is forecast.
The Bangladeshi calendar: festivals, the book fair and the moving dates of Eid
A handful of dates fill the hotels and shift the traffic:
What a Bangladeshi holiday does to a flight plan
Permits are issued for a date, and a holiday that moves a departure by a day can mean an amendment. Government offices close on public holidays, so a permit requested just before an Eid takes longer than in an ordinary week. We ask for the dates of the family occasion or the meeting before the quote is final and keep a spare day in the plan.

Flying to Bangladesh with a dog or a cat
Bangladesh admits dogs and cats on a short list of documents, but the permits sit with two government offices, and the way home is the part that needs the calendar.
What Bangladesh asks for on the way in
Guidance for travellers describes an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination given at least 30 days and not more than 12 months before entry, and two original copies of a health certificate from a licensed vet, issued or endorsed by a government vet. A titre test is not required. The guidance names a notice of no objection from the Department of Livestock Services and permission from the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports.
It names Dhaka as the airport of entry and says a compliant animal is not quarantined, although 21 days of home quarantine is mentioned as a possibility. Because the guidance comes from relocation firms and not from Bangladesh itself, we confirm the permits, the airport and the paperwork in writing before the animal is booked.
The return is the harder half. Bangladesh is not on the list of countries from which Britain accepts a pet on simpler terms, so a dog or a cat coming home is treated as arriving from a non-listed country:
- A rabies vaccination, then a blood sample taken at least 30 days later and sent to an approved laboratory, with a result of 0.5 IU/ml or higher;
- A wait of three months from the sample date, the result staying valid while the vaccinations are kept up to date;
- A Great Britain pet health certificate for the journey;
- For a dog, tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival in Britain;
- Quarantine for up to four months if the rules are not met.
The order that works is to have the blood sample taken at home before the outward flight. A sample taken in Bangladesh means waiting out the three months there. For a private flight we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
Other destinations, and the general rules for travelling with an animal on a private jet, are set out on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a flight the operator must make anyway, with the cabin vacant, so it is priced low. On this route the saving is large in cash, and so is the catch.
Why empty legs to Bangladesh are scarce
– An aircraft that delivers a party to Dhaka has to leave again, and a busy airline airport offers little long-term parking, so operators usually fly it out at once. The westbound legs are the ones to watch;
– The aircraft is seldom in the right city: a leg from Sylhet suits a family in Sylhet and not a buyer in Chittagong;
– A permit is tied to a date and a route, so the operator may refuse a change that would be easy elsewhere.
Clients who offer a week and not a day match most often. Free legs are listed on our empty legs page. A selection of Bangladeshi empty legs follows, at roughly 40 percent of a fresh charter:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK (London Biggin Hill) - Bangladesh (Dhaka) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £33,100 |
| Bangladesh (Dhaka) - UK (London Luton) | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £52,750 |
| Bangladesh (Sylhet) - UK (London Biggin Hill) | Global 6000 | 13 seats | £58,100 |
| UK (Birmingham) - Bangladesh (Dhaka) | Global 6000 | 13 seats | £58,200 |
| UK (London Farnborough) - Bangladesh (Chittagong) | Gulfstream G550 | 16 seats | £61,500 |
| Bangladesh (Chittagong) - UK (Manchester) | Gulfstream G550 | 16 seats | £62,400 |
| Bangladesh (Sylhet) - UK (London Luton) | Gulfstream G650ER | 14 seats | £68,850 |
| UK (Edinburgh) - Bangladesh (Dhaka) | Gulfstream G650ER | 14 seats | £69,950 |
Reading the empty-leg prices
– The price covers the whole aircraft, not a seat. A Gulfstream G550 from Chittagong to Manchester with eight aboard comes to about £7,800 a head;
– The cost to you is flexibility: the date, often the hour, sometimes the airport.

Helicopter charter
Helicopters are a real part of travel in Bangladesh, because the roads are slow. They are flown by local operators, so this block describes the local market.
About a dozen non-scheduled operators are licensed by the authority. Which one has a machine free on your date is confirmed for each requestlocal operators
Dhaka to Cox's Bazar is the best-known route; Sylhet, the Sundarbans and Saint Martin's Island are also named as destinationsDhaka and the coast
Flight details go to the authority at least 24 hours before take-off, emergency medical flights excepted. Heliports are used between sunrise and sunset24 hours, daylight
Winter and the festival seasons are busiest, and diaries fill weeks aheadbook early
A helicopter suits the last stretch out of Dhaka or to a far district, not the long way from Britain. If one is part of your plan, tell us when you ask for the quote, because the supply of machines is small.

Bangladeshi charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
The six trips below are typical jobs assembled from booking notes with the details changed, so none of them is one named client or one date.
DHAKA · THE LOWEST-PRICED WAY IN
Four buyers with a week of factory visits
London Biggin Hill - Dhaka, Praetor 600 via Dubai, about 12 h 35 min · 4 pax
They had assumed that only an ultra-long-range jet could reach Bangladesh. The Praetor 600 lands once in Dubai and carries on to Dhaka, with parking agreed before the permit was requested.
SYLHET · A FAMILY TRIP
Three generations flying out for a wedding
London Biggin Hill - Sylhet, Gulfstream G650ER nonstop, about 10 h 35 min · 12 pax
The cabin was chosen for the length of the flight and the size of the party. Visas came first, because the permit needs a passport number for each of the twelve, and the plan carried a spare day for the pre-monsoon rain.
CHITTAGONG · PORT AND SHIPPING
A small delegation to the port city
London Farnborough - Chittagong, Gulfstream G550 nonstop, about 10 h 55 min · 7 pax
No business aviation terminal is published for Chittagong, so the handler and the customs arrangements were confirmed before the permit was requested.
COX'S BAZAR · A BEACH BREAK
A family on holiday after a week in Dhaka
London Biggin Hill - Dhaka, Global 6000 nonstop, about 10 h 40 min · 6 pax
Cox's Bazar has a domestic airport, so the long-range jet landed at Dhaka and the party went on by a local operator for the last hop.
PETS · TWO DOGS TO DHAKA
A relocation with two dogs

Frequently asked questions about flying to Bangladesh
1Can a private jet fly from London to Dhaka nonstop?
Yes, in a long-range or ultra-long-range cabin. A Gulfstream G650ER, a Global 7500, a Global 6000 or a Gulfstream G550 can fly the planned 5,053 nautical miles without landing, and smaller aircraft land once, usually in Dubai. A full cabin or a headwind can still put a stop into the plan.
2How long does a private jet take from the UK to Bangladesh?
About 10 hours 25 minutes to Dhaka nonstop in a G650ER, and about 12 hours 35 minutes in a Praetor 600 with a stop in Dubai, including the stop. Sylhet takes about 10 hours 50 minutes nonstop in a Global 6000. Bangladesh is six hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and five ahead of British Summer Time.
3How much does a private jet to Bangladesh cost?
From about £78,750 one way from London Biggin Hill to Dhaka on a Praetor 600 with a stop in Dubai. Chittagong on the same aircraft costs about £80,250, and aircraft that fly nonstop cost more, from about £136,500 to Dhaka in a Global 6000. Handling, permit fees and airport charges are quoted on top, and an empty leg costs roughly 40 percent of a fresh charter.
4What permits and visas does a private flight to Bangladesh need?
The aircraft needs a landing permit from the civil aviation authority, and operators are advised to allow four business days for one mission and fifteen for a series of missions. British citizens need a visa unless the passport carries a no-visa-required stamp, applied for in advance, and the passport must expire at least six months after the visa start date.
5Is it safe to travel to Bangladesh by private jet?
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advises against all but essential travel to the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the districts of Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban, and lists no area under advice against all travel. It also notes flash floods and landslides in the hills, at Cox's Bazar and at Sylhet. Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet lie outside the Hill Tracts. Check the advice and your insurance before you fly.
6Can my dog or cat travel with me to Bangladesh on a private jet?
Yes, with planning. Guidance describes an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination 30 days to 12 months before entry, a health certificate endorsed by a government vet and permits from two Bangladeshi offices, with Dhaka as the airport of entry. Coming home, Britain treats Bangladesh as a non-listed country, so a rabies blood test and a three-month wait apply.
