Private jet charter in Naples
A little under three hours out of the London fields, Naples puts you beside Vesuvius, and the decision that shapes the trip is not the aircraft but which side of the bay you are really going to. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around the answer. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Naples is easy to reach and awkward to leave in a hurry. Capodichino is a busy single-runway airport with a slot system, compulsory handling and a general aviation apron that fills up in summer, so the real decisions here are the date, the handler and how you get from the apron to the coast.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Naples depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, a Cessna Citation CJ3+ and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Naples?
Two and a half hours from Biggin Hill in a light jet, three from Edinburgh, and an hour on the clock to remember on landing, because Naples keeps Central European time. At 900 to 1,200 nautical miles this is the long end of short-haul: a light jet is a proper sit rather than a hop, and from the north of Britain most clients move up a class without being asked. The table gives the sector from each British field we use.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall
Leave a London airfield at seven in the morning and you are on the ground at Capodichino around half past ten local time. The airport sits roughly 6 to 7 km north-east of the city centre, so the drive into town is short on the map and as long as the traffic makes it. Add the run to the British airfield and the quick processing at both ends and the journey from central London to central Naples comes to roughly four and a half hours, which is a morning on the aircraft and lunch on the bay. The coast is another matter: Positano is about 80 km from the airport and about an hour and a half by road, and that stretch is why so many clients add a helicopter to the second leg.
Light jet or midsize: the question that actually comes up on this route
– Up to four people with ordinary bags, a light jet is the sensible answer from the south of England and the Midlands, at about 2 h 30 min from Biggin Hill in a Citation CJ3+. It is a longer sit than a Paris or Zurich run, so tall passengers should ask for the roomier cabins in the class;
– Beyond four, or with beach luggage, golf bags, a stroller or a dog, we quote a midsize jet alongside it so you see both figures. A Capri or Amalfi stay brings more luggage than a city weekend and the hold decides before the seat count does;
– From Scotland and the north of England the flight passes three hours and we normally start with a midsize cabin. Heavy aircraft make sense only for a large party or when the same jet stays with you for a tour of Sicily and Sardinia.

The bay from the air: when a helicopter beats the road
Capri has no airport, and the island is the reason a good number of our Naples bookings exist. Boats go from Molo Beverello and take roughly 45 to 50 minutes by hydrofoil, plus the transfer to the port. A helicopter from Capodichino reaches the Damecuta heliport in Anacapri in about half an hour or less, and a taxi can stop a few steps from the landing site. The Amalfi coast works differently. Positano is about 80 km from the airport and about an hour and a half by road, so for a villa on the cliffs the question is whether to spend that time in a car or on a helicopter pad, and the answer depends on the weather and the pad, not the money.
Before you accept an onward quote
– Which airport, and who handles it. Capodichino is a coordinated airport with compulsory handling, and a short Sicilian or Sardinian hop quoted without the slot and handling lines is a quote that will change;
– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Naples to Olbia to Mykonos over a week costs noticeably less arranged as a single trip, because the aircraft and crew stay with you instead of repositioning to Naples between each stop.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Naples:
Light jets, and where most bookings land
At two and a half hours this is still the sensible class for four people with beach luggage. Range is no issue for Naples, so the money goes on the hour and not on capability you will not use.
Midsize, for Capri luggage and a longer sit
From the Midlands, Wales and the north the flight runs close to three hours, and a stand-up cabin and a bigger hold are worth the difference.
Super-midsize and large
For a wedding party flying as one group, for a team that needs to work in the air, and for trips that carry on from Naples to the islands rather than turning round.
Turboprops
The right aircraft for the hops from Naples: Rome is under an hour and Palermo or Olbia an hour or a little more, and the saving over a jet on that distance is large.
Helicopters
Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch: Capri, the Amalfi cliffs and a villa terrace with no runway. Landing sites are agreed before the quote, because on an island or a cliff road the pad decides the booking.

This is a small part of what is available. Naples sits in the middle of the southern Italian fleet, so outside the high summer weeks there is usually an aircraft already within an hour of Capodichino, in Rome, Sicily or Sardinia, and that is often where the better price comes from.

Business aviation airports in Naples
One airport does nearly all of the work. The others matter for specific reasons, and it helps to know them before a quote arrives with one of them in it.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Naples International, Capodichino NAP / LIRN |
The answer for almost every trip. About 6 to 7 km from the centre, with a single asphalt runway of 2,628 m by 45 m, 06/24, and an ILS approach, so any aircraft we send can use it. The operator is GESAC. Business aviation is looked after by independent handlers, among them Sky Services, Alisud and Fly Service, and handling is compulsory. A US Navy base adjoins the airfield |
| Salerno Costa d'Amalfi QSR / LIRI |
The alternative for the Amalfi coast and the Cilento, about 21 km south-east of Salerno, with a 2,000 m asphalt runway and the same operator as Naples. It has long been used by state aircraft, a flying school and small private jets. We treat it as a specialist choice and check what border facilities are available on the day before we put it in a quote |
| Rome Ciampino CIA / LIRA |
Not an alternative to Naples but the other half of many Italian itineraries. If the meeting is in Rome and the villa is on the coast, a turboprop between the two is under an hour and the second sector is cheap. Alisud has a handling base there as well |
| Capri no airport |
There is no airfield on the island. Capri is reached by helicopter to the Damecuta heliport in Anacapri, or by hydrofoil from Naples. If a broker quotes you a jet to Capri, the quote is wrong |
Four points settle most Naples arrivals:
Choose the handler
Several independent handlers share the general aviation apron. Sky Services, Alisud and Fly Service all handle at Naples, and between them they cover permits, parking, fuel, catering and cars. Service and pricing vary, so we ask the operator for its preference and put the handler's name on the driver's sheet.
Hours, slots and noise
Naples is a coordinated airport and private flights need a slot and prior permission, which GESAC takes through an online request system. Airport directories list it as open round the clock, with ordinary handling reported as 06:00 to 21:00 and later by request, and some sources describe a night noise curfew. They disagree, so for a late departure we confirm in writing first. Ground time is typically capped at two hours unless an extension is agreed.
Border and passport
Britain is outside Schengen, so on arrival you pass passport control as well as customs, and the same again when you land back in Britain. British passport holders typically need no visa for a stay of up to 90 days in any 180, with a passport issued within the last ten years and valid for at least three months after leaving. For the return the operator files a General Aviation Report with UK customs, and guests on other passports may need a UK ETA.
Car and late nights
Give us the handler as well as the flight, because a driver told only the airport may wait at the wrong door. For the coast, order the car and the return transfer with the quote and not on the day. Positano is about 80 km and about an hour and a half away, and in July and August the road adds more.

Border, passport and the landing permit
Italy is in Schengen and Britain is not, so a private flight from London clears the border at the airport it lands at. The practical point is to land where the formalities are. Capodichino is the airport of entry for the area, and we keep the Salerno question for a conversation about the specific trip. Britain is also outside the EU, so a foreign-registered or UK-based aircraft normally needs an Italian landing permit, which handling agents describe as taking up to about ten working days when the paperwork is complete. We start it the day you confirm and tell you plainly if a short-notice date puts that at risk.

From the apron to the bay
Naples is a city you reach in minutes from the airport and then spend the rest of the trip getting out of. The historic centre, the museums and the waterfront are close, and the distances that matter run outward, to Capri, to the Amalfi cliffs and to Salerno.
about 6 to 7 km, which is why one airport carries almost all the traffica short drive
about 80 km by road, the standard villa transferabout 1 h 30 min
landing at Damecuta in Anacapri, with a taxi a few steps away30 minutes or less

a 2,000 m runway about 21 km south-east of the cityabout 21 km

Flying to Naples with a dog or a cat
Italy asks for the same paperwork as the rest of the EU, and the flight is short enough that most animals sleep through it. The animal sits beside you in the cabin. What matters is that the certificate is dated correctly, because it has a ten-day life from the day it is issued.

What the EU asks for on the way in:
- An ISO microchip, fitted before the rabies vaccination or at the same time, and never after it;
- A rabies vaccination given when the animal was at least 12 weeks old, with 21 days elapsed before entry;
- An Animal Health Certificate for each trip from an Official Veterinarian, valid for ten days for entry to the EU and valid for the return as stated on the certificate;
- No more than five animals per traveller, presented at a travellers' point of entry, which our handler arranges at the terminal;
- For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before the flight back to Britain, recorded with product, date and time. Cats are exempt.
What catches owners out on the Naples run
– Italy does not ask for a tapeworm treatment on the way in, only before the way home, so it is a vet appointment you book in Campania towards the end of the stay and not something to do before leaving. Allow for a weekend when clinics are shut;
– A pet passport issued in England, Scotland or Wales cannot be used to enter the EU. The certificate has to be a fresh one for each trip, and the animal's rabies vaccination must still be valid on the day you come back;
– A beach or island stay with a dog is an ordinary booking, but settle the hotel, the boat and any helicopter before the quote, because each of them has to accept the animal separately.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken. We also confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
The Naples calendar: a city all year and a coast for half of it
Naples itself works in every month, and the pressure on private aviation comes from the coast. The Amalfi towns and Capri open with the spring, peak in the middle of summer and go quiet in winter. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.
Why a July weekend costs more
Not the flying. The southern Italian light and midsize fleet is large. What gets tight is the Capodichino slot, space on the general aviation apron and good cars and helicopters, all in the same days. Naples is a level 3 coordinated airport, ground time is limited, and handling agents ask for notice even in an ordinary week. A booking made a fortnight before a July weekend can still be done, but it pays more and may use an aircraft positioned from Rome or Sicily. The same booking made five or six weeks earlier is simpler and cheaper. Outside high summer a charter to Naples can usually be arranged in a day or two.
Ways to bring the Naples price down
- Move the dates a few days where you can. A Tuesday arrival and a Thursday return cost less than a Friday to Sunday, and May or September can cost less than July;
- Ask where the aircraft is based. A jet already in Naples, Rome or Sicily takes less positioning than one from Britain, and on a three-hour sector positioning is a real share of the bill;
- Take the light jet unless the luggage says otherwise. Four people and four bags do not need a midsize, and the money saved buys the helicopter to Capri.
Types of flights
Naples produces a different mix from the northern Italian cities we cover, because the airport is a city gateway, a coast gateway and an island gateway at once.
- Villa and hotel holidays on the Amalfi coast, Sorrento and Capri, usually with a car or a helicopter on the second leg;
- Weddings and family parties of eight to twelve, often with a larger cabin booked for the luggage as much as for the seats;
- Yacht connections in July and August, when guests join a boat moored off the coast;
- Business and city trips to Naples itself, typically a day or two with a morning arrival and an evening departure;
- Day trips to Pompeii and Sorrento, which are practical from Capodichino;
- Onward travel to Sicily, Sardinia, Malta or Greece, with Naples as the first stop of a loop.
A same-day return from London is possible and worth a closer look. At about two and a half hours each way it is a long day, and the aircraft and crew wait for you rather than going home, which is paid for but still cheaper than two separate one-way charters. Most clients who try it do so for a single meeting, and we quote it both ways so the difference is visible. The usual two-hour ground limit at Capodichino has to be extended in advance for anything longer.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. On the Naples route they follow the rhythm of the season, and it helps to know what produces them.
Where Naples empty legs come from
– Summer weekends. Aircraft bring parties to the coast on the Friday and go back to their bases empty on the Sunday, and that evening leg is the one most often offered;
– The edges of the season. As the coast opens in spring and closes in autumn, operators move aircraft between Britain and southern Italy, producing legs in one direction only;
– Island rotation. In July and August aircraft shuttle between Naples, Sicily and Sardinia, and the short legs between them can be cheap.
Because the Naples corridor is thinner than the busiest London routes, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Naples match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
In Naples a helicopter is a tool for the edges of a trip, and on the coast it is often the best part of it. The old city is crossed by car, and the places where rotary flight changes the journey are Capri, the Amalfi cliffs and the bay itself.
landing at Damecuta, against a hydrofoil crossing of about 45 to 50 minutes30 minutes or less
the 80 km road transfer, which takes about an hour and a halftime on request
helicopter operators are based at Bellizzi, the same town as Salerno airporttime on request
Before you plan around a helicopter
– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. On Capri the landing site is the Damecuta heliport in Anacapri, and a hotel terrace or a villa lawn on the island or the coast needs its status confirmed before we quote, not after;
– Weather sets the schedule. Low cloud and wind can stop a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without trouble, so a coast transfer needs a road or boat alternative in the same day's plan;
– For July and August weekends, book the helicopter together with the jet or expect to be told there is no rotary capacity. Twin-engine machines are the sensible minimum for any crossing over water.
The machines on this ground are the Airbus H125 and H130 for island and coast transfers, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and the H155 for larger parties. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Naples charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
DAY TRIP · OUT AND BACK
A morning meeting in Naples and home for dinner
Biggin Hill - Naples and return, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h 30 min each way · 4 pax
Wheels up at seven, on the ground at Capodichino around half past ten local time, in the meeting by lunch and back at Biggin Hill late in the evening. The aircraft and crew waited at the airport, with the ground-time extension requested in advance, which is a real line in the quote and still comes in below two separate one-way charters. It is a long day and it works.
CAPRI WEEKEND · THE LAST 30 MINUTES
Four friends, an island villa and no wish to queue for a boat
London City - Naples, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h 35 min · 4 pax + helicopter
The jet landed at Capodichino and the helicopter took them to Damecuta, in Anacapri, in about half an hour, with a taxi waiting a few steps from the pad. Both bookings were made as one, with one timetable and one point of contact. The return was the same in reverse on the Sunday afternoon.
AMALFI COAST · A FAMILY PARTY
Eight guests, a villa above Positano and a pile of cases
Luton - Naples, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 30 min · 8 pax
The luggage took the hold well beyond what a light jet carries comfortably, and the quote moved up a class for that reason and not for the seats. Two cars were ordered with the booking for the 80 km run to the coast. The handler's name went on the driver sheet so nobody waited at the wrong door.
MULTI-STOP · THE ISLAND LOOP
Naples, Olbia and back in a week
Southampton - Naples, Citation XLS+, then Naples - Olbia, Pilatus PC-12 NGX, about 1 h 10 min
A couple who wanted two destinations in one trip. The jet stayed in Naples for the first stage, a turboprop took them to Sardinia, and the return went from Olbia. Arranged as one booking it cost less than three separate charters, because no aircraft had to reposition between the stops.
CHRISTMAS CITY BREAK · A DOG ON BOARD
Three adults and a labrador in December
Farnborough - Naples, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h 35 min · 3 pax + dog
The Animal Health Certificate had to be dated inside ten days of arrival, and the vet visit in Campania for the tapeworm treatment had to fall between 24 and 120 hours before the flight home. We booked both with the aircraft, the hotel took the dog, and the whole thing was settled in one exchange of messages rather than three.
EMPTY LEG · SUNDAY EVENING NORTH
A jet already going your way
Naples - London Luton, Phenom 300E empty leg, about 2 h 25 min · 3 pax
The aircraft had brought a party to the coast for the weekend and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for a Sunday evening departure to the London fields.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Naples
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Naples?
About 2 hours 30 minutes from Biggin Hill in a Citation CJ3+, and around 2 hours 35 minutes from London City, Farnborough, Southampton and Luton, covering roughly 900 to 930 nautical miles. From Birmingham, Bristol or Manchester allow about 2 hours 45 to 2 hours 55, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow a little over three hours. Naples is one hour ahead of Britain, so a seven o'clock departure lands around half past ten local time.
2How much does a private jet to Naples cost?
From about £12,150 one way on a light jet out of Biggin Hill, £12,250 from London City and £12,550 from Luton. From Birmingham or Manchester a light jet is about £13,300 to £13,900, and from Newcastle or Edinburgh a midsize cabin is about £18,050 to £19,250. July and August, the Easter weeks and the run-up to Christmas price above these figures.
3Which Naples airport should a private jet use?
Naples Capodichino (NAP / LIRN) for almost every trip. It is about 6 to 7 km from the centre, has a 2,628 m runway with an ILS approach, and uses independent handlers such as Sky Services, Alisud and Fly Service. Salerno Costa d'Amalfi (QSR / LIRI) is the specialist alternative for the Amalfi coast and the Cilento, and Capri has no airport at all.
4When should I book a private jet to Naples?
Outside the peaks a day or two is usually enough. For July and August weekends, Easter and the days before Christmas allow four to six weeks. The Capodichino slot, apron space, cars and helicopters all get tight in the same days, and a late booking tends to pay more for an aircraft positioned from another city.
5Can I fly on from Naples to Capri or the Amalfi coast?
Yes. Capri has no airport, so the usual way is a helicopter from Capodichino to the Damecuta heliport in Anacapri, which takes 30 minutes or less, against a hydrofoil crossing of about 45 to 50 minutes. Positano is about 80 km from the airport and about an hour and a half by road, and we price a helicopter transfer, or a landing at Salerno, as alternatives to the road.
6Can I take my dog to Naples on a private jet?
Yes. The dog travels in the cabin with you, and the EU asks for a microchip, a rabies vaccination at least 21 days old and an Animal Health Certificate issued within ten days of entry. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before landing. Cats are exempt from the treatment.
