Private jet charter in Mongolia
Mongolia lies about 3,800 nautical miles east of London, and a private jet from Britain crosses Central Asia for most of the way before landing on a runway 1,367 metres above the sea. Private Jets UK builds a Mongolian charter around two facts: the fuel stop that most cabins need on the way, and the permit that the Mongolian authorities issue for each landing. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. In Mongolia that also means the road after landing: the country is the size of several European states with about 3.5 million people, and a lake, a dune field or a monastery town is rarely less than half a day from the capital.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Mongolia depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 with a fuel stop in Astana to Ulaanbaatar and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Mongolia?
Ulaanbaatar keeps eight hours ahead of UTC all year, because Mongolia dropped summer time, so the gap with Britain is eight hours in winter and seven in British summer. These are the sectors to Ulaanbaatar, gate to gate, with the stop included where the aircraft needs one:
two legs through Astana, about 4,121 nautical miles in all with roughly an hour on the groundabout 11 h
the same two legs in a larger cabin, 4,121 nautical milesabout 11 h
nonstop, 3,904 nautical miles, the one way to avoid the stopabout 8 h 30 min
the second leg on its own, 1,440 nautical milesabout 3 h 40 min
31 km in a straight line and 47 km by road; an hour in normal traffic, more at the rush hourabout 1 h
Choosing the hour of departure
Leave Biggin Hill at five in the afternoon in a Praetor 600 and you land in Ulaanbaatar around noon the next day on the Mongolian clock. Leave at seven in the morning and you arrive at two the next morning, when the road into the city is empty but the hotel and the driver must be waiting. A same-day return is not a plan, because the flying alone is more than twenty hours and the crew need their rest. Three nights is the shortest trip that earns its flight time.
Range check: what stops and what does not
– Light and midsize jets do not fly it in one stop. Biggin Hill is about 3,928 nautical miles from Ulaanbaatar with the routing allowance, and the lighter cabins list ranges of 2,000 to 2,700, so we do not quote them;
– The super-midsize class stops once. The Praetor 600 lists a range near 3,900 nautical miles and the Challenger 350 near 3,200. The usual split is Biggin Hill to Astana, about 2,681 nautical miles, then Astana to Ulaanbaatar, about 1,440;
– The ultra-long-range class flies it nonstop. A Global 6000 from Manchester takes 8 hours 30 minutes, about £41,550 more than a Praetor 600 with the stop on the same departure, and it saves about 2 hours 35 minutes.
The track depends on the overflight and landing permits for the countries along the way, which the operator files before the quote is final. The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Two things worth knowing about these figures
– The step between classes is bigger than the step between airfields. Moving from Biggin Hill to Exeter, the most distant airfield in the table, adds about £2,050 on the same Praetor 600, while moving to a Challenger 350 adds about £11,400. Luton, Stansted and Newcastle come out a few hundred pounds below Biggin Hill, so we quote them on request;
– The Mongolian end adds lines of its own. The air navigation fee rises if the permit request is late, with an extra fee at one calendar day ahead and a double fee at six hours. Handling, fuel and airport charges are separate from the flight price and itemised in the quote.
Private jet flights within Mongolia and to its neighbours
Inside Mongolia the distances are larger than the map suggests and the roads are slow. The sectors we are asked for are the hops to the Gobi and the northern lake, one long flight to the far west, and regional trips to Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo or Almaty:
| Route | Aircraft | Flight time | Price, one way |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ulaanbaatar - Dalanzadgad (Gobi) 274 nm / 507 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 8 passengers |
about 1 h 30 min | from £3,800 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Mörön (Khuvsgul) 304 nm / 563 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 8 passengers |
about 1 h 40 min | from £4,150 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Khovd (west) 636 nm / 1,178 km |
Citation CJ3+ up to 6 passengers |
about 2 h 05 min | from £9,150 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Beijing 644 nm / 1,193 km |
Phenom 300E up to 7 passengers |
about 1 h 55 min | from £9,250 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Seoul 1,099 nm / 2,035 km |
Citation XLS+ up to 8 passengers |
about 3 h 05 min | from £18,000 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Almaty 1,322 nm / 2,448 km |
Citation XLS+ up to 8 passengers |
about 3 h 35 min | from £21,250 |
| Ulaanbaatar - Tokyo 1,697 nm / 3,143 km |
Citation Latitude up to 8 passengers |
about 4 h 20 min | from £32,800 |
Two things worth knowing about these sectors
– A foreign aircraft cannot simply fly between two Mongolian towns. The permit rules say that foreign local commercial flights are permitted under the air services agreement with the operator's country, so a hop such as Ulaanbaatar to Dalanzadgad is normally flown by a Mongolian operator or agreed case by case, and we name who flies it in the quote. The Gobi airfield has no customs, so the first landing from abroad is always at Chinggis Khaan;
– The neighbours come with their own entry rules and handling, and we confirm them for every nationality on board before the offer goes out.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Mongolia:
Light and midsize jets
Right for Beijing, Seoul or the Gobi, wrong for the journey from London, which would need two stops.
Super-midsize
The class that flies from Britain with one stop, and the one we quote first. The Praetor 600 gives the lowest price, the Challenger 350 a wider range margin.
Large cabins
For six to twelve passengers and a long stay, with room for the 11-hour trip and the baggage for a winter or a camp.
Ultra-long range
The aircraft that fly it nonstop. The runway is 3,600 metres, so length is no limit, but the field is high and a full fuel load on a warm day is a performance calculation.
Turboprops
The aircraft for the Gobi and the north, not for the journey from Britain.

For this route the nearest suitable aircraft is often not in Britain, and a positioning leg from Central Asia, the Gulf or East Asia can change the price more than the choice of model. We look at the whole map before a number is sent.

Business aviation airports in Mongolia
Mongolia has one airport that matters to a jet from Britain. Chinggis Khaan International takes every international arrival, the old field at Buyant-Ukhaa stands in reserve, and the rest are provincial airfields used after the border has been cleared:
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Ulaanbaatar Chinggis Khaan UBN / ZMCK |
31 km south-west of the city centre in a straight line, 47 km by road, 1,367 m above sea level | The gateway for every international flight from Britain. One runway, 11/29, 3,600 by 45 metres, with an instrument landing system on 29. Customs, immigration, health control, handling, fuelling, security and de-icing are all listed as open round the clock. The handlers named in the aerodrome publication are New Ulaanbaatar International Airport LLC, MIAT, Aeronautics Ground Service and Geosan, and the listed fuel is TS-1 from Erchis Oil. Hangar space is limited and depends on the aircraft type |
| Ulaanbaatar Buyant-Ukhaa ZMUB |
about 18 km south-west of the city, the old airport | A runway of 3,100 by 45 metres. The publication states that commercial flights are not operated there, and lists it as an alternative for general aviation, charter, VIP, special and emergency operations. Customs, immigration, handling and fuel are on request, the operator works from 23:30 to 11:30 UTC, and a flight request goes in at least three hours ahead. |
| Dalanzadgad Gurvansaikhan ZMDZ |
5.8 km from Dalanzadgad, the gateway to the Gobi, 1,460 m above sea level | Asphalt runway 11/29, 2,200 by 30 metres. The operator is listed from 00:00 to 09:00 UTC, which is 08:00 to 17:00 in Ulaanbaatar, and customs and immigration are not available. Handling and TS-1 fuel are on request |
| Mörön ZMMN |
5.3 km from Mörön, the town of Khuvsgul province, 1,303 m above sea level | Asphalt runway 10/28, 2,400 by 42 metres. The operator is listed on weekdays, and customs, immigration, handling and fuel are on request. The nearest jet-capable runway to Lake Khuvsgul |
| Khovd ZMKD |
4.7 km from Jargalant, the town of the far west, 1,495 m above sea level | Asphalt runway 16/34, 2,850 by 35 metres, with the operator listed on weekdays from 01:30 to 10:30 UTC. Customs, immigration, handling and TS-1 fuel are on request. The airfield for the far west |
Four things settle most Mongolian arrivals before a quote goes out:
The permit: two working days at least
A landing from abroad needs a permission from the flow management division of the aviation authority, requested at least two working days ahead, or two calendar days for special and VIP flights. An international permit is valid for 72 hours from the start of operations.
The papers: six documents
Registration and airworthiness certificates, insurance, ground handling information and dangerous goods information, plus an air operator certificate where the flight is commercial; a private aircraft may not need one.
The ground: handler first
Handling is requested in advance so that customs, immigration and health control know when to expect the aircraft. Without notice, availability and timing are not guaranteed.
The fuel: TS-1
The aerodrome publication lists TS-1 as the jet fuel. The operator confirms that the aircraft is cleared to use it, and the uplift is ordered ahead of arrival.
Arriving from Britain: passports, customs and what to carry
Mongolia is outside the European Union and the Schengen area, so a flight from London is an ordinary international arrival, cleared at Chinggis Khaan before anyone leaves the terminal. The one rule that surprises British travellers is that the visa waiver covers tourism and not business.
British citizens may visit Mongolia for tourism for up to 30 days without a visa under a waiver that carries an end date, which the Foreign Office states and we check on the day we confirm the booking. Longer stays, work, study and business need a visa under Mongolian rulesapply early for business
valid for at least six months after the day of arrival, and stamped by the border officer on entry, because a missing stamp causes trouble on the way outevery passenger, children included
a hotel or landlord registers guests through an app; a visitor staying independently registers with the immigration agency, not in person, and carries the digital residence permit it issuescarry it at all times
up to 15 million tögrög, roughly £3,000, may be brought in; cash or travellers' cheques worth 10,000 US dollars or more, about £7,500, are declared and a certified declaration is issuedkeep the declaration
foreigners are generally not allowed in border areas, and a zone up to 100 km inside the frontier may count as one; permission comes from the State Frontier Guard Authorityask before the far west
Aircraft paperwork, the way home and the Foreign Office view
The aircraft brings its own file of certificates, insurance and handling details, and the passenger list goes to the handler ahead of the flight with passport copies and photographs where asked. Charter flights are arranged with customs, immigration and quarantine before arrival. We confirm the routing, the handler and the permit in writing before the flight.
Coming home is a flight into Britain. A General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation, and most other nationalities do. A British passenger returns on a valid British passport or a certificate of entitlement. We suggest checking the Foreign Office page for Mongolia before any trip; it lists Chinggis Khaan among the points of entry normally open to British passport holders.

Which airport for which part of Mongolia
Nearly every itinerary begins at Chinggis Khaan, and the question is how the last stretch is made. The distances below are straight lines from the airport, so a drive is always longer:
the capital, its ministries and hotels around Sükhbaatar Square; 47 km from the airport by roadChinggis Khaan
about 70 km from the city, the weekend park of the capital; the 40 m equestrian statue of Chinggis Khaan stands 54 km east of the centreChinggis Khaan, then road or helicopter
the former Mongol capital, Erdene Zuu monastery, founded in 1585, and a UNESCO-listed landscape about 300 km west-south-west of the airport; the airstrip is gravel and visual onlyChinggis Khaan, then road or turboprop
Gurvansaikhan National Park, 27,000 square km, with the ice valley of Yolyn Am and the Singing Sands of Khongoryn Els; Dalanzadgad is about 490 km south of the capitalDalanzadgad by turboprop
136 km long and holding almost 70 per cent of the country's fresh water; the nearest jet-capable runway is at Mörön, about 540 km north-west of the capital, and the shore is a further road journeyMörön, then road
the far west, where Kazakh is the majority language and Khuiten Peak rises to 4,374 m; Khovd has a 2,850 m runway about 1,130 km from the capitalKhovd by jet or turboprop
Ulaanbaatar, the steppe and the Gobi: what our clients go for
Ulaanbaatar is where the business is. The city has about 1.8 million inhabitants, roughly half of the country, stands at 1,350 m and is the coldest capital in the world by average yearly temperature, which is about 0.2 degrees. Sükhbaatar Square, Gandan monastery with its 26.5 m statue and the protected mountain of Bogd Khan Uul, rising to 2,250 m, are all within a short drive. Government and mining business concentrates in the capital: a delegation flies in, meets over two days and leaves.
The landscape is the second reason to come: the Gobi in the south, the Altai in the west and Lake Khuvsgul in the north, under more than 250 sunny days a year. The places are hundreds of kilometres apart and the roads between them are slow, so a day of driving can become a morning in a turboprop. That is why the jet from Britain lands at Chinggis Khaan and a second aircraft takes over from there.
The Mongolian year: the long winter, Naadam and the autumn eagles
The temperature sets the calendar for a visit:
the cold season: the January mean in Ulaanbaatar is about minus 21 degrees with night lows near minus 26, and Lake Khuvsgul freezes solid. De-icing is one vehicle at the airport, so the handler books the slotwinter and Tsagaan Sar
the shoulder months, opening with the ice festival on the frozen lake in early Marchshoulder
the green season: the July mean in the capital is about 19 degrees with afternoon highs around 25, Naadam fills the second week of July and the Gobi festival follows in Augustpeak for travel
the autumn season of the western eagle festivals, with the Golden Eagle Festival on the first weekend of Octobereagles and cold nights
A high field in July is a payload question
Chinggis Khaan stands 1,367 m above sea level with a reference temperature of 23 degrees, and a full Praetor 600 or Challenger 350 on a warm afternoon carries less than the seat count suggests. We plan the cabin and the bags around the day. From Biggin Hill the Praetor 600 quote is £64,650 one way, and the Challenger 350 from the same airfield £76,050.
The Mongolian calendar: festivals and the nomadic year
Mongolia has a handful of dated events, and each pulls on a different part of the country:

Flying to Mongolia with a dog or a cat
A dog or cat travels in the cabin, and the paperwork has two halves: a quick one for Mongolia and a slow one for the way home.
The one fact to read before you book
For going out, the Government publishes an export health certificate for pet cats and dogs to Mongolia, signed by an official veterinarian. The animal needs a 15-digit ISO microchip, checked before any vaccination; a rabies vaccination given not less than 30 days and not more than 12 months before export; the core vaccinations for its species (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus for dogs; feline viral rhinotracheitis, panleukopenia and feline leukaemia for cats); and a clinical examination within 48 hours of export. An import permit is not required for pets travelling with their owners. The Government advises confirming Mongolia's requirements with its veterinary authorities before every trip, and so do we.
Coming home is where the planning is. A dog or cat returning to Great Britain from a country that is not listed needs a rabies antibody blood test taken at least 30 days after the vaccination, with a result of at least 0.5 IU/ml from an approved laboratory, and a wait of three months from the date of the sample before travel. A dog also needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet 24 to 120 hours before landing, and an animal without the right paperwork can be held in quarantine for up to four months. The blood test stays valid while the rabies vaccinations are kept up to date, so it is done in Britain, before the outward flight.
Cats need the same list without the worming. We tell the handler in advance, confirm in writing that the animal will be presented at Chinggis Khaan, and check the dates of the blood test with your own vet before the aircraft is booked. A dog's tapeworm treatment for the flight home is given by a vet in Ulaanbaatar.
Requirements for birds, rabbits and the less usual species, along with the countries where the timeline runs to months, are set out on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. Mongolia is a thin market and some weeks have nothing on offer, but a trip of this length is often one-way by nature.
Where Mongolian empty legs come from
– Jets that brought a delegation to Ulaanbaatar and fly home empty after the meetings, the usual and the cheapest kind;
– The weeks around Naadam in July, the ice festival in March and the eagle festival in October, when aircraft arrive full and leave empty a day or two later.
A client who can offer a few days has a far better chance of a match, though the operator owns the date and a leg can disappear when the original booking changes. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page. A selection of Mongolian empty legs follows:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) - UK (London Biggin Hill) one stop in Astana |
Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £27,150 |
| UK (London Gatwick) - Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) one stop in Astana |
Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £27,250 |
| UK (Birmingham) - Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) one stop in Astana |
Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £27,300 |
| UK (Farnborough) - Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) one stop in Astana |
Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £27,350 |
| UK (Bristol) - Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) one stop in Astana |
Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £27,750 |
| Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) - UK (Glasgow) one stop in Astana |
Challenger 350 | 9 seats | £32,050 |
| Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) - UK (Southampton) one stop in Astana |
Challenger 350 | 9 seats | £32,400 |
| Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar) - UK (Manchester) nonstop |
Global 6000 | 13 seats | £44,700 |
How to read those figures
– Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat. A Praetor 600 from Birmingham with eight aboard comes to about £3,400 a head;
– Mongolian legs are less regular than those on a busy corridor, so an open return date helps.

Helicopter charter
Helicopter tours from Ulaanbaatar typically depart from the old airport at Buyant-Ukhaa and fly to places that a car cannot reach in a day. These are the reference points:
the weekend park of the capital, about 70 km from the city by roada short sector
the sacred mountain in the north-east of the capital region, with a flight of about one hour from Buyant-Ukhaa in the tour packagesabout 1 h
a three-day helicopter package is offered for the lake, its shore and the neighbouring lakesby arrangement
We have not found a published fleet list for helicopter charter in Mongolia, so we confirm the operator, the aircraft type, the passengers and the baggage allowance for your date before the offer goes out.
A landing at a ger camp, a lakeshore or a mountain base away from an aerodrome needs a site agreed in advance, and in the Naadam week in July the seats go first, so take the helicopter and the jet as one booking.

Flights from the UK to Mongolia
Biggin Hill, Farnborough and the London airfields send the super-midsize cabins that stop in Astana, while Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and the other regional airports send the same aircraft or the ultra-long-range ones that fly nonstop; the price table higher up covers thirteen of those pairings. Our clients have access to all airports of the UK and Europe. Due to the unique partnership conditions, we can offer our clients the best prices for business aviation services. Our experts will consult you on the availability of private jets in a particular city and help you choose the best option.

A family group for the festival
Manchester - Ulaanbaatar, Global 6000 nonstop, about 8 h 30 min · 9 pax
Nine passengers, a week in the country and the opening ceremony at the National Central Stadium, with the tickets arranged separately. A ger camp and a driver were booked before the flight was confirmed.
THE GOBI · A TURBOPROP DAY
Four friends and a week on the steppe
Biggin Hill - Ulaanbaatar, Challenger 350 via Astana, about 11 h · 4 pax
The jet landed at Chinggis Khaan and cleared customs there, because the airfield at Dalanzadgad has none. A turboprop took the group on, priced as a separate sector.
WITH THE DOG · BLOOD TEST FIRST
A couple and a labrador on a ten-day stay
Biggin Hill - Ulaanbaatar, Praetor 600 via Astana, about 11 h · 2 pax + dog
The rabies blood test was taken in Britain more than three months before the return, the export health certificate was signed after an examination within 48 hours of departure, and a vet in Ulaanbaatar gave the tapeworm treatment the day before the flight home.
WINTER · THE LAKE IN MARCH
A small group for the ice festival
Glasgow - Ulaanbaatar, Challenger 350 via Astana, about 11 h 05 min · 5 pax
The handler booked a de-icing slot for the departure, and the group flew on to Mörön in a turboprop for the lake. The return moved by a day when the weather changed.
EMPTY LEG · AFTER A DELEGATION
A flexible return to London
Ulaanbaatar - London Gatwick, Praetor 600 empty leg via Astana, about 11 h 05 min · 3 pax
The client gave us a window of three days instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid about £27,250, a little under half of a fresh one-way charter on the same sector, for a Wednesday departure.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Mongolia
1How long does it take to fly to Mongolia by private jet?
About 11 hours from London to Ulaanbaatar on a Praetor 600 with a fuel stop in Astana, and about 8 hours 30 minutes nonstop in a Global 6000 from Manchester. Mongolia is eight hours ahead of Britain in winter and seven hours ahead in British summer.
2How much does a private jet to Mongolia cost?
From about £64,650 one way from Biggin Hill to Ulaanbaatar on a Praetor 600 with a stop in Astana. A Challenger 350 from the same airfield is about £76,050, and a nonstop Global 6000 from Manchester about £106,450. A hop from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing starts from £9,250.
3Which airports do private jets use in Mongolia?
Ulaanbaatar Chinggis Khaan International is the gateway for every flight from abroad, with customs, immigration, handling and fuel listed round the clock on a runway of 3,600 metres. Buyant-Ukhaa, the old airport, is listed as an alternative for general aviation and VIP flights. Dalanzadgad, Mörön and Khovd serve the provinces, so the first landing is always at Chinggis Khaan.
4What are the passport, visa and permit rules for a private flight from Britain to Mongolia?
British citizens may visit Mongolia for tourism for up to 30 days without a visa under a waiver that carries an end date, while longer stays and business purposes need a visa. The passport must be valid for six months after arrival. The aircraft needs a permit from the aviation authority, requested at least two working days ahead.
5Can I take my dog or cat on a private jet to Mongolia?
Yes. The animal needs an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination given 30 days to 12 months before export, the core vaccinations for its species and an export health certificate signed by an official veterinarian after an examination within 48 hours of export. Mongolia is not a listed country for entry to Britain, so the way home needs a rabies blood test, a three-month wait from the sample date and, for a dog, a tapeworm treatment 24 to 120 hours before landing.
6How early should I book a private jet to Mongolia?
As soon as the dates are known, and never later than the two working days the permit requires. A request made one day ahead carries an extra air navigation fee, and the Naadam week from 11 to 13 July fills the hotels and the camps first.
