Advantages of private jets

In business aviation, several types of aircraft are used, these are:

  • Turboprop. Small aircraft with speeds up to 500 km/h but capable of landing at small airports. The capacity is up to 8 passengers. As a rule, they are used for flights up to 2.5 thousand kilometers;
  • Light reactive. The salon already allows you to stand up almost to your full height. The capacity is up to 9 people, the speed is up to 800 km/h, there is a large luggage compartment;
  • Medium reactive. They are more comfortable compared to light reactive planes. The speed is up to 900 km/h, some models of this class overcome up to 6.5 thousand km without refueling;
  • Long-haul. The salon is spacious, it is often equipped with a separate sleeping area, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Passenger capacity is 20-30 people, the speed is over 900 km/h. They travel up to 11 thousand km without stopping on the way, so they are often rented for flights between continents;
  • Airliners. They differ from long-haul ones with a maximum load capacity and a capacity of up to 150 people;
  • VIP airliners. Premium aircraft with luxurious interiors, innovative technical equipment, and service comparable in luxury to the best hotels in the world.

arranging a flight by private plane

Regardless of the type of vessel rented, private aircraft rental is valued for:

  • Flight speed. Not all business jets can boast of maximum speed, but the flight time on such aircraft is reduced because they fly strictly according to the route set by the customer without intermediate landings if they are not necessary;
  • Security. Aircraft used in business aviation are carefully checked, they pass all the required tests, are inspected by mechanics immediately before departure. The newest airliners are equipped with innovative avionics and navigation systems, so unforeseen situations are easily overcome, aircraft cabins are de-treated before each departure;
  • Efficiency. If there is an urgent need, the flight can be arranged in 3-4 hours;
  • Highly qualified pilots. Air brokers accept only experienced pilots with extensive experience in civil or military aviation. The personnel of the plane professionally behaves in force majeure situations and makes decisions based on the safety and wishes of the client;
  • High level of service. By renting a private plane, the customer gets a full cabin at his disposal, only those passengers who are specified in the application will be in it. Check-in for the flight takes place through a separate terminal, individual meals can be ordered on board. If necessary, you can request a rental aircraft with all the necessary equipment that may be required for negotiations or meetings;
  • Privacy. The things which are happening in the cabin of a private plane do not go beyond the board. Passengers do not have to worry that outsiders will become aware of their flight;
  • Full disposal of the aircraft. The customer of a charter flight can change the number of passengers, of course, if the cabin capacity allows. A fairly large amount of luggage and oversized items, such as equipment needed on the ski slopes can be taken on board.

The route on a rented business jet can be planned so that it passes through the largest cities. Stops are possible on exotic islands and in historical places. Charter plane rental is completely ready-made, and we will take care of all the subtleties and nuances. The customer only needs to submit an application and choose one of the business jets offered by the operator; all the rest of the work on paperwork, flight preparation, and schedule development is transferred to the aviation broker. After agreeing on all the nuances, the passenger will only have to arrive at the airport on the appointed date.

Rental price

The price of a flight on a private plane is determined individually in each case. The rental price includes:

  1. Fuel costs, which is approximately 30% of the total costs;
  2. Aircraft air navigation services;
  3. Remuneration of pilots and flight attendants;
  4. Airport parking costs;
  5. Maintenance of the board.

The cost of renting a business jet also depends on the number of passengers, the type of liner and the year of its release, the route. The price increases if the passenger orders individual meals and makes special requirements for the equipment of the cabin.

The price of one flight hour also depends on the type of aircraft:

  • A flight on a large plane, for example, on the Legacy 600, costs from 5,750 to 6,800 euros per hour;
  • A flight hour on a business liner costs from 12,100 euros;
  • Flying on a light jet costs from 2,450 to 3,500 euros per hour;
  • Turboprops cost from 1,000 to 1,650 euros per flight hour;
  • The flight hour of long-haul vessels costs from 6,800 to 10,300 euros.

The calculation of the aircraft lease is carried out after clarifying all the nuances of the application. The cost is prescribed in the contract and changes only when the client adjusts the contract terms.

Stages of flight preparation

A business jet flight is carefully prepared. The whole organization of the flight consists of several stages:

  1. Planning. At this stage, the request received from the customer is processed, the most suitable aircraft are selected, legal issues and flight safety issues are resolved;
  2. A contract is concluded. The contract specifies the obligations of the parties, the route schedule, departure dates, and cost. The agreement is drawn up in two copies, the first remains with the air broker, the other is for the client. The payment is possible in any way that suits the customer;
  3. Ensuring the flight. This is one of the most important stages of flight organization. The air broker coordinates the receipt of slots, submits requests to the aviation services for departure and landing, looks for suitable VIP terminals;
  4. Flying in ideal conditions. After signing the contract, passengers of charter flights are only required to arrive at the airport on time, board, and spend time in the sky in a pleasant atmosphere.

If necessary, air brokers will arrange a transfer from the arrival airport, book a hotel or find the best accommodation in the private sector.

Comparison of Jet Sharing and Empty Legs programs

Many people believe that renting an airplane is too expensive, and ordinary citizens with average incomes cannot afford it. However, this is not quite true, business aviation today is focused on providing services to an as large percentage of the population as possible, therefore it offers a number of programs that will allow you to travel around the world without much financial cost. Such services include Jet Sharing and Empty Legs rentals.

Jet Sharing is a business jet chair rental. That is, the cost of the entire flight is proportionally distributed among passengers. Jet Sharing is often chosen by members of several families, colleagues, friends. However, it is also possible that you leave your wishes for the direction and number of fellow travelers to our air brokers, and they, in turn, they will try to organize this flight and find passengers for it to reduce the cost of the flight. Most of the destinations where you can book a chair rental are available throughout the year. A number of offers from operators are active only in certain seasons (for example, flights to ski resorts or islands).

Empty Legs are return or otherwise technical flights. It is not uncommon for passengers to rent a plane to fly only one way, in which case it returns empty. Air brokers can sell tickets for such flights at a price 50-70% cheaper than renting according to the standard scheme. The more passengers will be on such a flight, the less amount you will have to pay for the flight.

Comparison with business class

Private jet rental and business class flight - are there any significant differences between them? Yes, there are, and basically, they all point to the advantages of flying on a charter flight.

Renting a private plane, as opposed to flying in business class, will allow you to:

  • Take your luggage with you;
  • Instantly check-in for a flight;
  • Wait for the flight in the VIP lounge;
  • Transport pets in the salon;
  • Register through a separate terminal.

Renting a business jet is also convenient for many because it makes it possible to remain anonymous. Business-class passengers can be seen by other passengers while renting an aircraft completely excludes this.

Additional services

Traveling on a rented business jet is convenient, fast, and comfortable. You can further improve flight conditions and safety in the sky by ordering a number of additional services, such as:

  1. Catering - individual meals on board. The passenger can tell us the wishes for the menu, and we will fully fulfill them;
  2. Internet - we organize a stable connection throughout the flight;
  3. Comprehensive service in VIP halls;
  4. Transfer at any airport on the type of transport that suits the passenger - a car, a helicopter, a yacht;
  5. Booking hotels and luxury accommodation on the islands and with private property owners;
  6. Treatment of the plane with anti-icing liquid.

Additional requests are discussed separately and are also prescribed in the contract. Each client of our company can count on complete anonymity and on the help of a personal manager at all stages of the organization of the flight.

How to pay for a flight and refund money for a failed flight

Payment for the aircraft lease is carried out after the signing of the contract. You can deposit cash or make a wire transfer. In some situations, an invoice is more convenient, but in any case, our company allows the client to choose the payment method that is more profitable for him/her.

If the scheduled flight is canceled at the client's request, the funds won't be returned in full. This is quite understandable since certain costs for the organization of the flight were already on the part of the air broker. However, our company tries to make sure that the client loses as little as possible. In those situations, when the lease is canceled due to our fault, which fortunately happens extremely rarely, the funds are returned in full.

You can find out all the conditions for renting business jets by phone or by sending a request to our company's email.

What our clients say

We protect the privacy of all clients. The reviews below reflect real experiences; names and identifying details have been changed in accordance with our confidentiality policy.

"We needed to fly a team of nine from London to Geneva for a board meeting with less than 24 hours notice. Private Jets UK sourced a Challenger 300 from a nearby operator, handled all the paperwork and had us airborne by 07:30 the following morning. We were in our first meeting by 10:15. I have since used them four more times and the level of service has been consistent throughout."

R.M. — Managing Director, financial services firm, London

★★★★★

"We fly to Monaco every year for the Grand Prix and have tried several brokers over the years. Private Jets UK is the only one that proactively books the helicopter connection from Nice alongside the jet without us having to ask. That detail — coordinating both legs as a single booking — saves us considerable stress during what is already a very busy week. The consultant we work with knows our preferences and needs no briefing each time."

A.C. — Private client, Edinburgh

★★★★★

"I travel frequently between the UK and Germany for business and have been using Private Jets UK for corporate charters for three years. What I value most is the pricing transparency — every quote is fully itemised so I can present it to our finance team without any ambiguity. The aircraft are always clean, on time and properly crewed. A reliable and professional service."

T.H. — Operations Director, manufacturing group, Birmingham

★★★★★

"We arranged a family trip to Santorini for ten people including two dogs. The team handled the EU Animal Health Certificate documentation for both animals, advised us on the tapeworm treatment timing and arranged a pet-friendly transfer at the other end. Everything went smoothly and both dogs were completely comfortable in the cabin for the entire flight. I would not use anyone else for a trip involving our pets."

S.W. — Private client, Manchester

★★★★★

"I contacted Private Jets UK at 11pm on a Sunday evening needing a flight to Dubai the following Tuesday for a last-minute deal signing. I received three aircraft options with full pricing by midnight and had the contract confirmed by Monday morning. The Global 6000 they arranged was exactly as described, the crew were excellent and the flight was completely smooth. That kind of responsiveness is what separates a genuinely good broker from the rest."

D.K. — Chief Executive, investment group, London
