Private jet charter in Al Ain
The flight from the London fields takes just over seven hours and ends on a four-kilometre runway at an airport with almost no airline traffic, a short drive from a garden city at the foot of Jebel Hafeet. Private Jets UK arranges the charter from the first quote to the car at the aircraft door. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are each about an hour and a half away by road, so both work as a fallback when a permit, a slot or a date will not fit. What is left to decide is the cabin that will fly more than 3,100 nautical miles, and how much of the oasis, the mountain and the desert the passengers want to see.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Al Ain depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Al Ain?
Plan around seven and a quarter hours. From Biggin Hill or Stansted a Praetor 600 takes 7 h 15 min, from Luton or Farnborough 7 h 20 min, and from Edinburgh and Glasgow 7 h 40 min and 7 h 45 min. At roughly 3,121 to 3,337 nautical miles the sector is beyond any light or midsize jet without a fuel stop, so the table below is flown in a super-midsize jet, the Embraer Praetor 600, which has a published range of about 4,000 nautical miles with four passengers; the one-stop alternative for smaller cabins is described under the table. The UAE does not move its clocks, so Al Ain is four hours ahead of Britain in winter and three in summer, and a morning departure lands in the evening. The table gives the sector from each British field we use, measured to Al Ain International.

From the London fields to the oasis in one day
A ten o'clock departure from Biggin Hill reaches Al Ain soon after nine in the evening local time in winter, and an hour earlier in summer. The airport is about 15 km west-north-west of the town, so a car reaches the hotel quickly once the handler has cleared the party in the terminal. The way home takes longer, because the aircraft meets the prevailing westerly flow for much of the sector, and half an hour on top of the outbound time is common. With a full cabin a Praetor 600 may also want a fuel stop on the way back, and the quote says so in plain words.
Seven hours in the air: which cabin
– A party of up to eight with ordinary luggage fits a Praetor 600, and it is the cheapest cabin that holds the whole sector from every British field in the table. Range falls as the cabin fills, so for a full cabin from Scotland the operator confirms the fuel plan before the offer is final;
– Nine to twelve passengers, or a party that wants to sleep and work in flight, belongs in a large-cabin jet such as the Challenger 605 or the Gulfstream G450. The Global 6000 adds speed as well: from Biggin Hill it takes 6 h 45 min against 7 h 15 min in the Praetor, which is worth paying for on a sector this long;
– A midsize jet can do the sector with one stop. Turkey lies almost on the line from London, so a stop at Istanbul adds only 8 nautical miles: from Biggin Hill the two legs of 1,376 and 1,754 nautical miles total 3,130, against 3,122 direct. Priced that way, a Citation XLS+ comes to about £47,300 one way against £49,550 for the nonstop Praetor 600, a saving of about £2,250, but the journey takes about 9 hours including an hour on the ground, and the cabin is smaller. For most parties the nonstop flight is the better buy.

Private jet flights from Al Ain
Most departures from Al Ain are short: a family or government trip to Abu Dhabi or Dubai, Muscat just over the Omani border, Doha, or Riyadh in an evening's flight. The long ones are the winter-sun legs to the Maldives and the sectors back to Europe, which are the same seven hours in reverse. Typical one-way prices from Al Ain International:

Why a jet hop from Al Ain is rarely the answer
Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen lies 66 nautical miles from Al Ain and Dubai's Al Maktoum 47, so the flight itself is a matter of minutes and the price is mostly the minimum charge, about £3,100 in a turboprop. Against that, the road to Abu Dhabi takes about an hour and a half. A short sector earns its place when the aircraft is already standing at Al Ain, when the party arrives late at night, or when a helicopter can lift from the hotel. Muscat is the better case for a jet: 158 nautical miles by air, and about 366 km, three and a half hours, by road.
Before you accept an onward quote
– Which airport at the other end, and whether it needs a slot. Dubai International is a coordinated airport, Al Bateen is listed as not needing slots, and Al Maktoum is listed with slot coordination and prior permission. At each of them we ask for the slot and the permit in the same request;
– Whether the landing permit for every country is included. The UAE permit does not cover Oman, Qatar or Saudi Arabia, each of which issues its own, and we ask the operator to confirm all of them in writing;
– Whether the aircraft stays or goes. A same-day Al Ain to Muscat or Doha and back costs far less quoted as one booking than as two one-way hires, provided the crew hours fit.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Al Ain:
Super-midsize and large cabin, where most Al Ain bookings land
The Praetor 600 is the aircraft behind the prices on this page, and the larger cabins follow when the party grows. Range depends on load, and the operator confirms the fuel plan for your passenger count before the offer is final.
Ultra-long range, for speed and room
The Global is the fastest way out; the Gulfstreams are the quiet ones, chosen when the party wants to work or rest through the whole sector.
Midsize and light, for the Gulf and the stop
The right aircraft for Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Doha from Al Ain, and for the one-stop version of the flight from Britain through Istanbul, where the money goes on the hour and not on range you do not use.
Turboprops
For Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and other sectors of under an hour, where a jet saves a few minutes and costs a good deal more.
Helicopters
For the last stretch and for the sightseeing flight, never for the journey from Britain. Falcon Aviation in Abu Dhabi and HeliDubai in Dubai are among the operators, and landing sites are agreed before the quote.

This is a small part of what is available. Aircraft with the range for this route are the scarce resource, and the best price often comes from one that is already in the Gulf or has just finished a trip into Europe, so a client who can name a few days rather than one date usually pays less. Charter operators based in the UAE include DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, ExecuJet Middle East, Falcon Aviation, Jet Aviation and Jetex, and an aircraft standing at Abu Dhabi or Dubai is only half an hour from Al Ain.

Business aviation airports for Al Ain
Al Ain has an airport of its own with a four-kilometre runway, and that is the first choice. Four others, all within about two hours by road, each fit a different reason for not using it.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Al Ain International AAN / OMAL |
The airport of the city itself, about 15 km west-north-west of the town, with a single runway 01/19 of about 4,005 m and a CAT I instrument approach. It is open round the clock with no curfew or noise restrictions listed, and it is a designated airport of entry. Handling is mandatory; flight-support firms listed for the airport include Jetmate Aviation, Jetstream International and Just Aviation, and a private-terminal arrival can be arranged for passengers and crew. Jet A-1 is available around the clock. Airline traffic is a handful of routes, so the apron is rarely busy. The airport to use whenever the stay is in Al Ain |
| Zayed International, Abu Dhabi AUH / OMAA |
The capital's main airport, about 31 km east-south-east of Abu Dhabi, with a main runway of about 4,100 m, 24-hour operation, customs on site and a Royal Jet VIP terminal. Slots are listed as required for the airport, although the VIP terminal's own entry notes that none are needed for general aviation. It is 160 km from Al Ain, about 1 h 45 min by road. Use it when the party has meetings in the capital as well, or when a large cabin needs a full FBO |
| Al Bateen Executive, Abu Dhabi AZI / OMAD |
Abu Dhabi's business aviation airport, about 12 km south-east of the city centre, with a runway of about 3,200 m. It is open 24 hours with customs on site, slots are not required, handling is mandatory and Jetex runs the FBO. Falcon Aviation's helicopters are based here. The better start for a trip built around the capital, with Al Ain about an hour and a half away by road |
| Al Maktoum International, Dubai South DWC / OMDW |
About 38 km south-west of Dubai, open round the clock with 24-hour customs and no curfew. Of the three big airports it is the closest to Al Ain, about 84 km in a straight line. Several FBOs work here, including Jetex, ExecuJet Middle East, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim and Falcon Aviation at Dubai South. Slot coordination and prior permission are listed, and we confirm both per flight. A sensible fallback for a large cabin |
| Dubai International DXB / OMDB |
Only about 4 km from the centre of Dubai and about 113 km from Al Ain in a straight line, with a runway of about 4,450 m. Slots are required, handling is mandatory, and ExecuJet Middle East reports restricted parking. The road to Al Ain is about 130 km, roughly an hour and a half. Worth using only when the trip starts in Dubai and Al Ain is the second stop |
Four points settle most Al Ain arrivals:
Al Ain or the capital
Land at Al Ain when the stay is there: no slot queue, no long transfer, and the aircraft can wait on the apron. Choose Abu Dhabi when the programme is built around meetings in the capital, and Dubai when it starts with the hotels or a connecting flight. The road tips the balance: 160 km and about 1 h 45 min from the Abu Dhabi airport, about 130 km and an hour and a half from Dubai.
Permits and slots
A landing permit from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is needed for every landing in the UAE. For a private flight the handler files it, typically with at least four working days' notice, although the emirate authority may accept less. It asks for the certificates of registration and airworthiness, the insurance and a noise certificate, and a private aircraft needs no air operator certificate. For Al Ain one source says slots are not required while handlers describe a parking slot as mandatory, so we request both and keep the confirmations.
Entry and passport
British passport holders receive a visa on arrival free of charge, valid for up to 90 days in any 180, as long as the passport has at least six months left on the day of entry. Medicines classed as controlled need approval from the UAE Ministry of Health before travel.
Cars and the clock
Name the handler and the terminal as well as the airport, so the driver knows which gate to wait at. Allow another 15 to 20 minutes on the Abu Dhabi road in the morning and late-afternoon peaks, and for a night departure put the late car and the crew hours into the quote from the start.

Border, passport and the private terminal
On a private flight the formalities are done at the aircraft and in the private terminal, not in the main hall. Al Ain is a designated airport of entry with customs, immigration and quarantine clearance, and the handler arranges the clearance once we have sent the passenger list ahead. Hours need care: one flight-support source lists customs at 0600 to 2200 and another lists customs round the clock, so a night arrival is something we have the handler confirm in writing before the date is fixed. A daytime arrival raises no such question. Visitors from Britain receive the visa on arrival at immigration without applying in advance, which keeps the formalities short. Crew entry goes through the general declaration, typically with visas for a stay of up to seven days.

From the apron to the oasis
Al Ain is compact, and the airport sits on its western side. The distances that matter are the short ones to the oasis and the mountain, and the long ones, by road, to the two big cities.

What private clients do in Al Ain
Al Ain is called the Garden City, and it is the Gulf stop where even a short stay has real history in it: an oasis on the UNESCO list, Bronze Age tombs, forts and a mountain, all within a few minutes of each other. The pieces fit into two unhurried days.
A two-day shape that works
The oasis, the palace and the forts fit into one morning, the mountain and the hot springs into an evening, and Hili and the camel market into the next morning. In the hot months move everything to the first and last hours of daylight, and keep the middle of the day for the hotel pool.
Flying to Al Ain with a dog or a cat
Two sets of paperwork, one at each end, and a decision about how the animal travels in between. The UAE wants a permit before the animal leaves, Britain wants a fresh certificate before it comes home, and Al Ain adds a question of its own: where the animal is cleared.

What the UAE asks for on the way in:
- An import permit from the federal ministry responsible for climate change and the environment, applied for online once the flight date is fixed and valid for a short period, which the sources we use put at 30 days;
- An ISO microchip, implanted before the rabies vaccine and not after it;
- A rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel, at 12 weeks of age or later, with the core vaccines for the species recorded;
- An official veterinary health certificate endorsed by the competent authority of the country of origin, which for Britain means the Animal and Plant Health Agency;
- Internal and external parasite treatment in the 14 days before travel, recorded on the certificate;
- No more than two pets per person per year, and no animal from the banned list, which covers pit bull types, several mastiff breeds and the Japanese Tosa.
What catches owners out on the Al Ain run
– The UAE rules treat an arriving pet as manifested cargo and not as baggage, with certified service dogs the exception, so carriage in the cabin of a private jet is not something to assume. We ask the handler and the ministry first and give you the answer in writing before the quote is accepted;
– Animals are normally cleared at Dubai or Abu Dhabi. For Al Ain we confirm whether the animal can be released at the Al Ain airport or must be cleared at Abu Dhabi and driven the last 160 km;
– Coming home, Britain asks for a microchip, a rabies vaccination at least 21 days old, an Animal Health Certificate or a Great Britain health certificate, and for a dog a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 hours and 5 days before arrival. The UAE is typically listed among the countries that need no rabies blood test on this route. The animal also has to arrive by an approved route, so how a private aircraft fits that rule is something we confirm in writing for your date;
– The online permit form asks for an Emirates ID, which a visiting owner does not have. Ask us before you begin the application.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken.
The Al Ain calendar: a winter city with a hot summer
Al Ain keeps the Gulf's seasons: pleasant from November to April, very hot from May to September. The mean daily high is about 25 °C in January and about 45 °C in July, with a record of 49.4 °C, so the month you choose matters more than the aircraft.
Why the Gulf calendar matters for an Al Ain trip
Al Ain has few events that fill an airport; the pressure comes from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The fleet that can fly the sector without a stop is small, and during GITEX, the Grand Prix, the National Day weekend and the Christmas break most of it is already committed. Book six to eight weeks ahead for those weeks, and for any other week allow at least the working days that the landing permit needs.
Ways to bring the Al Ain price down
- Move the dates off the Gulf's busy weeks. The weeks after GITEX and the Grand Prix are calm, and so is February once the school holidays have ended;
- Weigh the Istanbul stop. A Citation XLS+ priced through Istanbul is £47,300 from Biggin Hill against £49,550 nonstop, which saves about £2,250 at the cost of about an hour and three quarters more on the day and a smaller cabin;
- Book the round trip as one booking. A long-haul return quoted together costs less than two one-way hires, and it fixes the aircraft for the whole stay;
- Check the empty legs, even those that land at Abu Dhabi or Dubai. On a seven-hour sector the saving can be large enough to pay for the car for the last stretch.
Types of flights
Al Ain draws a different crowd from the Gulf's big cities, because it is a heritage destination, a university town and a medical centre rather than a trade-show host.
- Heritage and nature tours around the oasis, Hili and Jebel Hafeet, for small groups who want the UAE without the skyline;
- Winter family trips with a stay at a mountain or desert hotel;
- Business and academic visits, since Al Ain is home to the main federal university and several college campuses;
- Medical travel and repatriation, to and from hospitals such as the 503-bed Tawam Hospital, which need a crew and an aircraft that can hold the sector without stopping;
- Gulf hops to Muscat, Doha and Riyadh, often in a day;
- Onward holidays to the Maldives, flown from Al Ain when the party wants to carry on from the mountains to the beach.
A same-day return from Britain is not realistic. The sector is long and the clock difference awkward, so a trip is an overnight at least, with the aircraft and crew either staying at Al Ain or going home empty and coming back. We quote both and show the difference, because the cheaper answer depends on how many days you stay.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. Al Ain is not a hub, so most of its empty legs begin or end at Abu Dhabi or Dubai, and it helps to know where they come from.
Where Al Ain empty legs come from
– Parties that came out for a long weekend. The aircraft that brought them leaves empty, and the sector home is the one on sale;
– Gulf-based fleets. Operators in Abu Dhabi and Dubai send aircraft to Europe to collect clients, and the leg back to the Gulf is the one that comes up;
– Event weeks. After GITEX, the Grand Prix and the National Day weekend aircraft leave the region empty in a burst, and the days that follow are the best time to look.
Because the corridor is long and the fleet with the range small, a client who can name a few days has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. The usual price of that is that the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag an Al Ain or Gulf match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
In Al Ain a helicopter does two jobs: the scenic flight over the oasis, the mountain and the desert, and the transfer to a place with no airport, such as a desert resort. Falcon Aviation, based at Al Bateen Executive, sells flights over the desert, mangroves, fossil dunes and mountains of the emirate, and the machines are booked alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.
Before you plan around a helicopter
– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. Pads, hotels and villas need an approved status, and the oasis and the archaeological sites are protected, so a landing at the sights themselves is not something to assume. We agree the site before we quote;
– Summer heat affects helicopter performance as well as comfort. The cooler season is the easier time to fly, and a sunset flight over Jebel Hafeet is a different experience from the same flight at midday;
– Twin-engine machines are the usual choice for longer transfers. Book the helicopter with the jet for the Gulf's event weeks and the New Year, or expect to be told there is no rotary capacity.

The machines on offer are the Airbus H125 and H130 for sightseeing and short transfers, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and larger helicopters for bigger parties. Al Ain charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
WINTER BREAK · THE MOUNTAIN HOTEL
Three generations and a week at Jebel Hafeet
Farnborough - Al Ain, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 6 pax
Two grandparents, two parents and two children, flying out for the school break. The aircraft waited at Al Ain for the whole stay, the handler booked the camel market and the oasis walk for the mornings, and the family drove up the mountain road to the hotel on the first evening.
DELEGATION · TWO CITIES
Meetings in the capital, a host in Al Ain
London Luton - Al Ain, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 7 pax
The host lived in Al Ain and the meetings were in Abu Dhabi, so the aircraft landed at the host's end and cars covered the road to the capital. The landing permit was filed a week ahead, and the handler confirmed customs hours in writing because the arrival was after dark.
HERITAGE · A SMALL GROUP
Four friends and the UNESCO sites
Biggin Hill - Al Ain, Praetor 600, about 7 h 15 min · 4 pax
A long weekend built around the oasis, Hili, the forts and the palace museum. The party wanted early starts, so the programme ran from first light to lunch and returned to the hotel for the heat of the day.
DESERT · THE HELICOPTER FINISH
From the jet to a resort in the dunes
Birmingham - Al Ain, Praetor 600, about 7 h 30 min · 8 pax
The party landed at Al Ain, spent a night in the city and went on by helicopter to a desert resort, about 64 minutes, with the luggage following by road. The helicopter site was approved before the jet was confirmed.
PETS · PAPERWORK FIRST
A couple and a dog going home
Al Ain - Southampton, Praetor 600, about 7 h 55 min · 2 pax + dog
The return to Britain needed a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 hours and 5 days before landing, the microchip and rabies record, and the correct certificate. We booked the vet for the morning before departure and confirmed the arrival route for the animal before the aircraft was released.
EMPTY LEG · A FRIDAY NIGHT HOME
A jet going your way
Al Ain - London Luton, Praetor 600 empty leg, about 7 h 50 min · 5 pax
The aircraft had brought a party out for the weekend and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for the Friday night departure.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Al Ain
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Al Ain?
About 7 h 15 min from Biggin Hill or Stansted in a Praetor 600, covering roughly 3,122 nautical miles. From Luton or Farnborough allow 7 h 20 min, from Birmingham or Manchester about 7 h 30 min, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow 7 h 40 min to 7 h 45 min. A Global 6000 saves about half an hour on the sector. Al Ain is four hours ahead of Britain in winter and three in summer, so a morning departure lands in the evening local time.
2How much does a private jet to Al Ain cost?
From about £49,550 one way on a Praetor 600 out of Biggin Hill or Stansted, and £50,000 from Farnborough. Birmingham comes to £50,750, Manchester to £51,200 and Glasgow to £52,800. A large-cabin or long-range jet costs considerably more, and the Dubai show weeks, the Grand Prix and the winter holidays price above these figures.
3Which airport should a private jet use for Al Ain?
Al Ain International (AAN / OMAL), about 15 km from the town, has a runway of about 4,005 m, round-the-clock operation, no curfew and a designated customs entry, and it is the natural choice when the stay is in Al Ain. Abu Dhabi (Zayed International or Al Bateen Executive) is about 160 km and an hour and three quarters away by road, and Dubai Al Maktoum is the other fallback for a large cabin.
4Do British passengers need a visa for Al Ain?
British passport holders receive a visa on arrival free of charge, valid for up to 90 days in any 180, if the passport has at least six months left on the day of entry. The aircraft itself needs a landing permit from the UAE civil aviation authority, which the handler files, typically with at least four working days' notice.
5Can a light or midsize jet fly to Al Ain from the UK?
Not nonstop. At roughly 3,121 to 3,337 nautical miles the sector is beyond a light jet and a midsize one, and a super-midsize such as the Praetor 600 is the practical floor. With one stop at Istanbul, which adds only a few miles, a Citation XLS+ is priced at about £47,300 from Biggin Hill against £49,550 for the nonstop Praetor 600, so the saving is about £2,250 for about an hour and three quarters more on the day.
6Can I take my dog to Al Ain on a private jet?
Possibly, and it needs planning. The UAE asks for an import permit, an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination at least 21 days old and an official health certificate, and its rules treat arriving pets as cargo, so cabin carriage on a private jet is agreed with the authority first. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 hours and 5 days before arrival.
