Private jet charter in Toronto

Crossing the Atlantic from Britain takes about seven hours in a large-cabin jet and noticeably more in anything smaller, which has to stop for fuel on the way out. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around whichever aircraft the crossing calls for. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Toronto has a famous downtown airport that private jets are not allowed to use, a large international one 20 km out where nearly all of them land, and three smaller fields that matter on the right day, so the decisions are the aircraft, the airport and the paperwork, in that order.

private jet charter

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Toronto depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. On a crossing of this length the choice between a nonstop long-range cabin and a smaller jet with a fuel stop moves the price more than any other item. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.

You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:

  • using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
  • via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
  • by landline or cell phone;
  • via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).

Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London Luton, a Bombardier Challenger 350 with a stop at Gander and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.

How long does it take to fly to Toronto?

The nonstop crossing from London to Toronto Pearson takes about 7 h 05 min in a Global 6000 from Farnborough, and a little under that from Scotland. We allow a routed distance of 2,967 to 3,219 nautical miles depending on the British field, against a published range of 3,200 nautical miles for a Challenger 350, which a westbound headwind and fuel reserves cut too far, so that aircraft makes the trip in two legs with a stop at Gander in Newfoundland. Toronto keeps Eastern time, five hours behind Britain for most of the year, so a morning departure from London lands in the late morning, Toronto time. The times below assume a headwind going west, which is the normal state of the North Atlantic. The table gives the sector from each British field we use.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall

Leave Farnborough at nine in the morning, British time, and you touch down at Pearson a little after eleven in Toronto. The airport sits about 20 km north-west of downtown, and from the private terminal a car covers the distance in a time that depends on the traffic, which in Toronto is considerable. The day is long in the pleasant way that westbound days are: the flight takes 7 h 05 min, the clocks go back five hours, and a client who leaves London after breakfast can be at an early-afternoon meeting on Bay Street with the working day still ahead. Coming home the sums run the other way. An overnight eastbound flight lands in Britain early next morning, and the winds that slowed you on the way out now help.

Nonstop or Gander: the question that decides the aircraft

– A Global, Gulfstream or Falcon-class long-range jet flies London to Toronto in one go and is the answer for most parties of five or more, for anyone who wants to sleep, and for anyone who dislikes a ground stop with the cabin door open in Newfoundland;

– A Challenger 350 is a very good aircraft with a published range of 3,200 nautical miles, but with a westbound headwind and fuel reserves it cannot be planned nonstop on a sector of that length. It stops at Gander, takes about an hour on the ground and costs noticeably less than a long-range jet. For four people who do not mind the stop it is the sensible buy;

– Light jets and turboprops do not cross the Atlantic from Britain as a rule. If the trip needs a light jet or a King Air at the Toronto end, the crossing is done by a larger aircraft and the smaller one is booked locally for the onward legs.

Private jet flights from Toronto

Toronto is a good starting point for a North American loop. Montreal and the cottage country are short enough for a morning, New York and the eastern seaboard are a light-jet hour and a bit away, and Vancouver is a full coast-to-coast day. The way home is the same crossing as the way out, with the wind on the tail. Typical one-way prices:

Why the domestic legs are the cheap part

A trip to Toronto is usually priced as one long crossing and one or two short hops, and the short hops cost a fraction of the crossing. A flight to Muskoka in a Pilatus PC-12 starts at £3,100, against £88,050 for the Atlantic leg in a Global 6000 from Farnborough, so the extra stops in Canada barely change the total. The sensible way to plan it is to book the large aircraft for the ocean and then ask us to quote the regional aircraft separately, since a turboprop or light jet based in Ontario will almost always beat a long-range jet kept on the apron for a three-day tour.

Before you accept a Canadian onward quote

– Which airport, and who clears it. Hamilton, Oshawa and Waterloo are all useful alternatives to Pearson, but each has its own customs arrangements and its own handler, so a quote that says only Toronto has not told you where the car will wait;

– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Toronto to Montreal to New York over three days costs less arranged as one trip, because the aircraft and crew stay with you and no empty positioning flight is added at each stop. If it crosses into the United States, the formalities of the second country have to be built into the same plan.

Prices depending on the type of business jet

We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

Turbopropsfrom £850/h
Small jet£1,700 - 2,500/h
Light jet£2,100 - 3,000/h
Medium-sized jet (Citation XLS+, Hawker 800XP)£3,000 - 3,700/h
Large medium-class jet (Challenger 300)£4,600 - 5,500/h
Large jet (Legacy 600)£4,900 - 5,800/h
Long-haul jet (Global 5000, G550, Falcon 7X)£5,800 - 8,800/h

online private jet directory

This is a small part of what is available. Aircraft that can cross the Atlantic are fewer than the ones that serve Europe, and their positions change daily, so a long-range jet already in London or Paris is often cheaper than one that has to be brought over from North America first. Equally, when the first leg is a return to Britain a day or two after our trip, we look for an aircraft that is coming this way anyway.

Business aviation airports in Toronto

Four airports around the city can handle a business jet, and a fifth, the best known, cannot take a jet. It helps to know which is which before a quote arrives.

Airport What it gives you
Toronto Pearson, Mississauga
YYZ / CYYZ
The answer for nearly every trip. About 20 km north-west of downtown, with five runways of 2,700 to 3,390 m, so there is nothing a charter will send that it cannot take. Business aircraft use four private terminals: Skyservice has two (Midfield, with a VIP terminal of 8,600 sq ft, and the newer South base), and Execaire and Signature Flight Support are the other two. All are listed as open round the clock, with customs and immigration on site. A noise-abatement window runs from 23:00 to 06:00
Billy Bishop Toronto City
YTZ / CYTZ
The island airport next to downtown, and a trap for first-time clients. Under the agreement that governs it, jets are banned apart from medical flights, and some propeller types are barred as well. Business use is limited to quiet turboprops that meet the noise limit, within about 6:45 to 23:00 on a 1,216 m runway. It has Canadian customs and is reached by a short pedestrian tunnel and a ferry, which makes it excellent for a turboprop and impossible for a jet
Hamilton (John C. Munro)
YHM / CYHM
About 64 km south-west of Toronto, with a 3,050 m runway and a second of 1,832 m. A large cargo airport with plenty of room, and a possible alternate when Pearson is busy or the party is heading for Niagara or the western end of Lake Ontario. Expect a longer road transfer if the meeting is downtown, and ask us to confirm customs arrangements for your date
Oshawa Executive
YOO / CYOO
East of the city, with a main runway of roughly 1,500 m and a 24-hour FBO. A customs officer is available on call for aircraft carrying no more than 50 people. Good for the eastern suburbs and Durham Region, and suited to light and midsize jets rather than anything larger
Region of Waterloo
YKF / CYKF
To the west, in the Kitchener-Waterloo technology corridor, with a 2,135 m runway, round-the-clock operation and customs for general aviation aircraft of up to 180 people with two hours' notice. The handler is Flite Line Services. A sensible choice for a visit to the technology firms of the region, though the road to Toronto takes noticeably longer
Gander
YQX / CYQX
Not a Toronto airport at all but the usual fuel stop on the way out. A long runway pair of about 3,100 m and 2,700 m, Canadian customs and immigration available around the clock, Jet A-1 from hydrant refuelling and a crew lounge. Handling is by Allied Aviation, and there are hotels within 2 km. We plan a turn of about an hour

Four points settle most Toronto arrivals:

Choose the terminal

Pearson has four business aviation bases on the same airport: Skyservice Midfield, Skyservice South, Execaire and Signature. Service levels and fees differ, so we put your preference or the operator's in writing. A driver told only Pearson may wait at the wrong door, so the terminal name goes on the transfer order too.

Hours and noise

Pearson keeps a noise-abatement window from 23:00 to 06:00, so a late arrival or an early departure is planned around it. Business aircraft share the airport with the airlines, so we confirm the arrival and departure times with the handler in advance and do not leave them to chance on the day.

Border and passport

British citizens need an eTA and a valid passport to board a flight to Canada. Customs officers meet the passengers on the aircraft at the private terminal, and the arrangements are made by us and the handler before departure. Details are in the border section below.

Car and late nights

The airport train to Union Station takes about 28 minutes and runs from 05:27 to 00:57. For a private party a car from the terminal is the normal plan, and we book it with the handler so the driver is waiting at the right door. If the flight lands after midnight, tell us early.

business aviation

Border, passport and Canadian customs

Canada is not in the Schengen area or any shared travel zone with Britain, so every passenger is cleared by the Canada Border Services Agency on arrival. British citizens need an electronic travel authorisation, the eTA, and a valid passport to board a flight to Canada. The eTA costs CAN$7, about £4, is applied for online and is usually approved within minutes. It is not needed by a dual British and Canadian citizen travelling on a Canadian passport. The normal visit is up to six months, and the passport has to be valid for the length of the stay. Flight crew are exempt from the eTA. Apply well before the day, because a few cases are not approved at once.

passport and customs paperwork for a private jet flight

For the aircraft there is a separate set of steps, and our handler and the operator carry them out. On the guidance we work from, the pilot in command telephones the Canadian border reporting centre no earlier than 48 hours and no later than two hours before departure for Canada, giving the aircraft registration, the estimated arrival time and the name, date of birth and citizenship of everyone aboard. Passengers stay with the aircraft until they are cleared, unless an officer is waiting at the stand. For a larger party, more than 39 people at Toronto, the clearance has to be arranged with the border agency in advance. Pets, weapons and ammunition have to be notified in advance as well. We confirm the procedure with the operator for each trip, because the rules change and a booking has to follow the current text, not a memory of it.

One useful fact for choosing the airport: Pearson, Billy Bishop, Oshawa, Waterloo and Gander all have a customs presence, but with different hours and different limits on party size. Oshawa takes up to 50 people on call, Waterloo up to 180 with two hours' notice, and Gander is staffed round the clock. If the arrival is late at night, the airport is often chosen for its customs hours rather than its distance from the hotel.

The way home has its own formalities. Britons and Irish citizens need no permission to enter the United Kingdom, while most other visa-free visitors need a UK electronic travel authorisation. For the aircraft, a General Aviation Report is filed with the UK authorities no earlier than 48 hours and no later than two hours before departure. The penalties for getting it wrong are real: a fine of £2,500 for a first landing at an aerodrome that is not a regulated one, and £2,000 for each passenger carried without permission. The operator and handler file the report, and we check that it is done.

From the apron to the waterfront

Toronto is a city you reach in under an hour from its main airport and then travel through by car, subway or a short ferry. Downtown sits on the north shore of Lake Ontario, the island airport lies directly off it, and the distances that matter on a business trip are the ones to Pearson, to Hamilton and Waterloo, and the long run to Niagara and the lakes.

Pearson to downtown Toronto
about 20 km north-west of the city, and the reason one airport carries almost all of the traffic
depends on traffic
Pearson to Union Station by airport train
every 15 minutes, from 05:27 to 00:57 each day
about 28 minutes
Billy Bishop to downtown
on the waterfront, reached by a pedestrian tunnel from the foot of Eireann Quay or a ferry every 15 minutes
tunnel or ferry
Hamilton airport to Toronto
about 64 km south-west, which is why it suits a trip to Niagara or Hamilton and nothing in the city centre
by road
Oshawa to downtown Toronto
a straight-line distance of about 52 km from the waterfront
by road
Region of Waterloo to downtown Toronto
a straight-line distance of about 81 km, for Kitchener-Waterloo and its technology firms
by road

Flying to Toronto with a dog or a cat

Canada asks for little paperwork on the way in and more on the way home. The animal sits with you in the cabin, and the flight is long enough that most dogs sleep through it. What matters is the timing of three documents: the UK export certificate before you leave, the rabies record, and the certificate for the return to Britain, which has a short life.

private flight with animals

What the two countries ask for:

  • An export health certificate for dogs and cats going from the United Kingdom to Canada (form 2923EHC), signed by an Official Veterinarian after a clinical examination within 72 hours of export;
  • For an animal between 3 and 8 months old travelling with its owner, a rabies certificate meeting Canadian requirements, showing the dates, vaccine, supplier, batch number and expiry. An animal over 8 months needs either a rabies vaccination certificate or a declaration of residency. A puppy under 3 months cannot be vaccinated against rabies;
  • Inspection fees are payable at the first Canadian port of entry, and we agree the arrival point with the handler beforehand;
  • For the return to Britain, Canada is a "part 2" listed country: a Great Britain pet health certificate issued in the ten days before travel, with a pet passport or animal health certificate not accepted. The rabies vaccination must be at least 21 days old, and no blood test is required;
  • For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival in Britain. Cats are exempt. No more than five animals per traveller.

What catches owners out on the Toronto run

– The return certificate has to be dated inside ten days of travel, so a two-week stay means a vet appointment in Canada, and the tapeworm treatment must fall in its own window of 24 to 120 hours before landing. Book both before you leave Britain;

– Ontario bans pit bull type dogs, and the UK export notes say plainly that such an animal must not be imported in breach of the ban. If your dog is of a type that might be questioned, ask us before the quote and not at the terminal;

– A long crossing is a long day for an animal. Plan a walk before departure, and if you use a Gander stop, ask the handler whether the animal may leave the aircraft there. Both the hotel and any onward helicopter operator have to accept the animal separately.

Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken. We also confirm in writing the entry point and the paperwork for the animal on the way back into Britain.

The Toronto calendar: a film festival, a carnival and a winter

Toronto's rhythm is set by the weather as much as the events. Summer is the festival season, September belongs to the film festival, and winter is the season when everything that flies has to be de-iced and nothing is as punctual as the timetable suggests. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.

Late June
Pride Toronto, in the last week of June: the city is busy, and rooms and cars near the centre tighten. Parties tend to be short, often built around a long weekend
July
Caribana, the Caribbean festival, in July: a summer weekend of parades and music that draws visitors from across North America. Book early if the dates are fixed
September
The Toronto International Film Festival, in September: the busiest stretch of the year for private aviation in the city, with studio parties, premieres and delegations arriving on short notice. Terminal space, cars and hotels are all tight at once
Summer
Long weekends and the cottage season: demand for flights to the Muskoka region and the lakes goes up, and domestic turboprops are booked well ahead of the weekend
December to March
Winter: cold, snow and de-icing. A flight that is simple in July can take longer in January, and the Gander stop, if you use one, brings its own weather. Allow generous time on the ground and avoid tight connections

Why a festival week costs more

Not the flying. The long-range fleet that can cross the Atlantic is much smaller than the Europe-only fleet, and the aircraft that suit Toronto are wanted on the same days from New York and Europe. What gets tight is terminal space at Pearson, the good cars and the crew duty hours. A booking made a fortnight before the film festival can still be done, but it pays more and may mean an aircraft brought across the ocean empty. The same booking made five or six weeks earlier is simpler and cheaper. Outside the peaks a crossing can usually be arranged within a few days.

Ways to bring the Toronto price down

  • Choose the aircraft for the crossing and not for the fantasy. A Challenger 350 with a stop at Gander costs less than a long-range jet and takes about two hours longer door to door; for four people that is a fair trade;
  • Ask where the aircraft is based. A long-range jet coming from London needs less positioning than one coming from Dubai or Florida, and on a transatlantic sector positioning is a large share of the bill;
  • Be flexible by a day or two. A flight that avoids the film festival and the long summer weekends is easier to price, and a return that fits an empty leg is cheaper than a fresh charter.

Types of flights

Toronto produces a different mix from the European destinations we cover, because it is the commercial capital of Canada, a financial centre and the starting point for a lot of North American travel.

  • Financial and corporate travel, tied to the banks and head offices of Bay Street, where the dates are set by a meeting and the cabin by the size of the delegation;
  • Film and entertainment travel, which peaks around the film festival in September and has its own demands for privacy and for a terminal that can keep an arrival discreet;
  • Transatlantic family and leisure trips, often combined with the lakes, Niagara or a longer tour of Canada;
  • Onward journeys to the United States, particularly New York and Florida, using Toronto as the port of entry and a light jet from there;
  • Regional business trips to Waterloo, Hamilton and Oshawa, for firms that prefer a smaller airport to Pearson.

The one-way and return question is worth a closer look. On a crossing of this length a same-week return is usually priced as two separate sectors, plus the crew's rest and hotel in Toronto, so we quote both options. Where the stay is short, leaving the aircraft in Toronto and returning on the third day is often better value than flying home empty and coming back, and where the stay is a week or more, two one-way flights are cleaner than waiting.

Empty Legs

An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. On the Toronto route they come from the pattern of events rather than from sheer volume, and it helps to know what produces them.

Where Toronto empty legs come from

– Festival weeks. Aircraft arrive full for the film festival or a summer weekend and leave empty a day or two later, so the westbound and eastbound sectors both appear in the days after;

– Transatlantic positioning. A long-range jet that has taken a party from London to Toronto often has to return, and that empty crossing is the one most worth looking for;

– North American rotation. Aircraft based in Canada and the northeastern United States move between Toronto, Montreal and New York, and the short legs between them can be cheap.

Because the long-range fleet is small, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Toronto match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter

In Toronto a helicopter is a tool for the edges of a trip and not the middle. Downtown traffic is slow and the lakeshore is close, but landing sites in a built-up area are limited, so most helicopter work is outside the city: lakeside properties, Niagara and the cottage country.

Pearson to the Niagara peninsula
a straight-line distance of about 79 km to Niagara Falls, a scenic or lunch transfer from the airport
on request
Pearson to Muskoka
about 147 km straight-line, the run to the lakes that a helicopter shortens at the Friday-evening rush
on request
Downtown to a lakeside property
a short transfer along the shore, once the landing site is approved
on request
Island airport to downtown
the waterfront is so close that the tunnel or the ferry is the faster choice
not usually worth it

Before you plan around a helicopter

– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. A hotel lawn or a private property needs its landing status and the owner's consent confirmed before the quote, not after;

– Weather sets the schedule. Low cloud, snow and ice can ground a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without trouble, so a lakeside transfer needs a road alternative planned into the same day;

– A twin-engine machine is the sensible minimum over open water or in winter. For the film festival and summer weekends, book the helicopter together with the jet or expect to be told there is no rotary capacity.

The machines used on this ground include the Airbus H125 for scenic and lake work, the wider H130 for villa transfers, and the H135 and Bell 429 where a twin is wanted. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Toronto charters from the booking notes: six typical trips

What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.

NONSTOP · THE LONG-RANGE CABIN

Six people, one stretch of the Atlantic

Farnborough - Toronto Pearson, Bombardier Global 6000, about 7 h 05 min · 6 pax

A company team heading for a week of meetings, leaving mid-morning and landing in time for lunch. The reason for the larger cabin was less the seats than the luggage and the wish to work in the air without a stop. They went into the Skyservice Midfield terminal, cleared Canadian customs on the aircraft, and found the car at the door.

GANDER STOP · THE SENSIBLE COMPROMISE

Four people, a Challenger and an hour in Newfoundland

Biggin Hill - Toronto Pearson, Bombardier Challenger 350, about 8 h 00 min plus a stop · 4 pax

A smaller party that wanted to keep the budget down. The Challenger cannot do the crossing in one go with a westbound headwind, so the quote included the stop at Gander, a turn of about an hour with fuel and a leg stretch. The saving over a long-range jet was real, and nobody complained about the hour.

FILM FESTIVAL · FIXED DATES

A group for the opening weekend in September

London Luton - Toronto Pearson, Gulfstream G550, about 7 h 05 min · 8 pax

The dates were set by the festival and not by the client. Eight people, formal clothes and a request for a quiet arrival. The booking went in six weeks ahead, the handler pre-arranged the border check at the terminal, and the return was booked at the same time so that the aircraft did not go back empty.

THE ISLAND AIRPORT · NOT FOR JETS

A client who asked for the airport next to downtown

Biggin Hill - Toronto Pearson, Bombardier Global 6000, about 7 h 10 min · 5 pax

They had seen the island airport on a map and asked for it by name. Jets are banned there apart from medical flights, so we explained that and landed at Pearson, 20 km out, with a car waiting at the terminal. Had the party come in a turboprop for a regional hop, the island would have been the answer. For the crossing it never was.

A DOG ON BOARD · TWO CERTIFICATES

Three adults and a labrador for a ten-day stay

Edinburgh - Toronto Pearson, Gulfstream G550, about 6 h 40 min · 3 pax + dog

The UK export certificate was signed after an examination inside 72 hours of departure, and the Great Britain pet health certificate for the way home had to be dated inside ten days of the return flight. The tapeworm treatment fell between 24 and 120 hours before landing. We booked the two vet appointments with the aircraft, and the whole thing was settled in one exchange of messages.

EMPTY LEG · THE WAY HOME

A jet already going your way

Toronto Pearson - London Stansted, Bombardier Global 6000 empty leg, about 6 h 05 min · 4 pax

The aircraft had brought a party over for a long weekend and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for an eastbound night departure that landed in Britain at breakfast time.

Frequently asked questions about flying to Toronto

1How long is a private jet flight from London to Toronto?

About 7 h 05 min nonstop in a Global 6000 from Farnborough, and a little less from Edinburgh or Glasgow in a Gulfstream G550. A Challenger 350 needs a stop at Gander and takes about 8 h 00 min in the air plus an hour on the ground. The routed distance for the nonstop fields is 2,967 to 3,219 nautical miles. Toronto is five hours behind Britain for most of the year, so a morning departure lands before lunch.

2How much does a private jet to Toronto cost?

From about £60,400 one way for a Challenger 350 from London Luton with a stop at Gander. A nonstop long-range jet starts from about £88,050 from Farnborough and £85,350 from Manchester, and a Gulfstream G550 from Edinburgh starts from £86,750. The film festival in September and the long summer weekends price above these figures.

3Which Toronto airport should a private jet use?

Toronto Pearson (YYZ / CYYZ) for nearly every trip. It is about 20 km from downtown, has four business aviation terminals open round the clock and customs on site. Billy Bishop (YTZ / CYTZ) next to downtown bans jets apart from medical flights, so it is for turboprops only. Hamilton, Oshawa and Waterloo are the alternatives for trips that end west or east of the city.

4Do I need a visa or an eTA to fly to Canada?

British citizens need no visa for a visit of up to six months but do need an electronic travel authorisation, the eTA, and a valid passport to board a flight to Canada. It costs CAN$7, about £4, and is usually approved within minutes. A dual British and Canadian citizen travels on a Canadian passport and does not need an eTA. Flight crew are exempt.

5Can I fly on from Toronto to Muskoka, Montreal or New York?

Yes, and a smaller aircraft is the usual choice for the second leg. Muskoka is 82 nautical miles away and a Pilatus PC-12 starts from £3,100. Montreal is 285 nautical miles, from £5,300 in a Citation CJ3+, and New York Teterboro is 312 nautical miles, from £5,350. We book the crossing and the regional legs together.

6Can I take my dog to Toronto on a private jet?

Yes. The dog travels in the cabin with you. Going out you need a UK export health certificate signed by an Official Veterinarian after an examination within 72 hours of export, and a rabies record that meets Canadian requirements. For the return, Canada is a part 2 country, so a Great Britain pet health certificate issued in the ten days before travel is needed, and a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before landing.
