Private jet charter in Anguilla
Sixteen miles of flat coral, one runway and one handler: nearly everything about a private flight to Anguilla follows from those three facts. The airport is listed at about 5,462 feet, which suits a light or midsize jet and asks questions of anything bigger, so the aircraft we offer and the place it lands are chosen together. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. For Anguilla that means a choice between a super-midsize jet that lands on the island after a stop in the Azores, and a heavy jet that lands on Sint Maarten and hands you to a boat or a small aircraft for the last ten minutes.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Anguilla depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Farnborough, an Embraer Praetor 600 to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla with one technical stop in the Azores, and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Anguilla?
From Farnborough the straight line to the island is 3,663 nautical miles, more than a midsize jet carries with a full cabin. A Praetor 600 or a Challenger 350 flies it in two legs through Santa Maria in the Azores, 1,400 nautical miles and then 2,379, together 116 nautical miles more than the direct line, so the stop costs an hour on the ground and little extra distance. Anguilla keeps Atlantic Standard Time all year, four hours behind Britain in winter and five in summer. Times are westbound and count flying time only:
3,779 nautical miles from Farnborough in two legs, with about an hour on the ground at Santa Mariaabout 9 h 15 min plus the stop
3,672 nautical miles from Farnborough, a long-range jet in a single hopabout 8 h 10 min
11 nautical miles across the water; a commuter flight is listed at about ten minutesabout 30 min gate to gate
3,672 nautical miles to Farnborough from Sint Maarten, with the jet stream behind the aircraftabout 6 h 55 min
Why the runway matters more than the mileage
The directories list a single asphalt runway of about 5,462 by 98 feet. The handler describes it as suited to light and midsize jets, and an aggregator adds that larger cabins face payload limits, depending on how far they have come. A published airport masterplan includes a longer runway, but we plan on the runway as listed.
The operator's performance calculation for your aircraft, load and date decides whether a super-midsize jet goes to the island or lands in Sint Maarten. We confirm it in writing before a quote is accepted.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Prices for the private jet flights to Anguilla
Typical charter prices from Britain, cheapest first. The cheaper rows are super-midsize jets that land on Anguilla after one stop in the Azores. The dearer ones are heavy jets that fly non-stop to Sint Maarten, with the last stretch by boat or small aircraft:

Two things worth knowing about these figures
– The two routings are different trips. A Praetor 600 from Farnborough starts at £59,500 and lands you on Anguilla, while a Falcon 900LX from Biggin Hill is about £92,700 and a Gulfstream G650ER about £119,450 to Sint Maarten, and the crossing to the island is extra. The heavy jet buys space and a single hop, not a shorter path to your villa;
– A one-way price carries the aircraft's journey home, because the jet has to cross the Atlantic again whether it carries you or not. A stay of a week or two booked as a return, or a flexible date that catches an empty leg, changes the arithmetic more than any negotiation. Air Passenger Duty is shown as a separate line in the quotation.
Private jet flights from Anguilla to its neighbours
Anguilla has no domestic network: the island is one airport, and every sector leaves the territory. Commuter carriers fly several of these hops, so a private charter is chosen for timing and privacy:
| Route | Aircraft | Flight time | Price, one way |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anguilla - Sint Maarten 11 nm / 20 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 30 min | from £3,100 |
| Anguilla - St Kitts 59 nm / 109 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 45 min | from £3,100 |
| Anguilla - Antigua 100 nm / 185 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 50 min | from £3,100 |
| Anguilla - Tortola 89 nm / 165 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 50 min | from £3,100 |
| Anguilla - St Thomas 114 nm / 211 km |
Citation CJ4 Gen2 up to 8 |
about 45 min | from £5,950 |
| Anguilla - San Juan 175 nm / 324 km |
Citation CJ4 Gen2 up to 8 |
about 55 min | from £5,950 |
Every sector ends in another jurisdiction
Sint Maarten is Dutch, the French half of the island begins a short drive away, St Kitts and Antigua are separate countries, and St Thomas and San Juan are United States soil, where British passengers need an approved ESTA or a visa. For regional hops we usually propose a locally based operator and confirm the permission in writing.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Anguilla:
Turboprops
The aircraft for the islands, not the crossing. Both sit comfortably on a 5,462-foot runway.
Light jets
They suit the island and the hops from neighbouring gateways, but no light jet makes the crossing from Britain.
Super-midsize
The class we offer for a landing on Anguilla itself, with one stop in the Azores. The operator confirms the performance for your date and load.
Heavy jets
Comfortable for a family with staff, but more aircraft than the runway wants on a hot afternoon. We fly this class to Sint Maarten.
Ultra-long range
The class that crosses in one hop, to Sint Maarten. None of them is a candidate for Anguilla itself.

Business aviation airports for Anguilla
Anguilla has one airport, and its neighbours do the work of the large aircraft. There is no choice to invent: a single runway, a single handler, and the question is whether your aircraft can use them.
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Clayton J. Lloyd International AXA / TQPF |
The Valley, about 3 miles by road; the west-end resorts are 12 to 14 miles away, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by taxi | The only airport on the island and the one we land on. One asphalt runway, listed at 5,462 by 98 feet, elevation 127 feet, with VOR/DME and NDB approaches and fire category 5. Jet fuel and avgas are listed. Slots are not required and handling is mandatory, with a single handler, Lloyd Aviation Services, which clears customs and immigration on site. The handler lists weekdays from 07:00 to 18:00 local time, a directory lists airport hours of 12:00 to 20:00 UTC (08:00 to 16:00 local) |
| Princess Juliana International SXM / TNCM |
Sint Maarten, 11 nautical miles to the south of Anguilla | The practical gateway for heavy jets. Two handlers are listed, Atlantic Aviation and ExecuJet, with customs on site. The peak runs from December to April, when the apron fills, so parking is requested with the flight. The crossing is by ferry from Marigot, charter boat or commuter flight |
| San Juan Luis Munoz Marin SJU / TJSJ |
Puerto Rico, 175 nautical miles to the west | A large United States airport with a commuter service to Anguilla, used when the party comes from the American side, with a United States entry first |
| Antigua V. C. Bird ANU / TAPA |
100 nautical miles to the south-east | An international airport outside the United States that takes every aircraft type, with a listed commuter service to Anguilla |
Performance first
We ask the operator for a landing and departure calculation for your aircraft, load and date before anything is promised. The afternoons are hot, and a transatlantic fuel load on departure is the hard case.
Daylight and the handler's day
The handler lists weekday hours of 07:00 to 18:00 local time. A crossing that runs late in the Azores can miss them, so the departure from Britain is planned to arrive in the afternoon.
Two clearances for a two-island arrival
A party that lands at Sint Maarten and crosses by ferry clears Saint-Martin passport control on the way out and Anguilla immigration on arrival.
Arriving from Britain: passports, customs and what to carry
Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory, not part of the United Kingdom, and it runs its own immigration and customs. A private flight from London arrives as an international flight, and everyone on board clears both at the handler's building.
valid for the whole of the stay; British citizens need no visa for up to 90 days for tourism or business, and an extension is requested from the Immigration Department after arrivalevery passenger, children included
payable when leaving from the airport or the Blowing Point ferry terminal; the amount depends on age, destination and length of stay, and the handler shows itask the handler
prohibited, taxed or dutiable goods are declared; some marine and animal specimens cannot be taken off the islanddeclare when in doubt
The Sint Maarten route and the way home
If the jet lands in Sint Maarten, the first entry is into Sint Maarten and the crossing is by ferry from Marigot, on the French side, where a passport is checked. Public ferries run in daylight, with the last departures from Blowing Point at about a quarter past five and from Marigot around six, so a late arrival often means a night on Sint Maarten or a charter boat.
Coming home is a flight into Britain from outside the country. A General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation, while most other nationalities do.

Anguilla: what our clients go for
The island is flat and made of coral and limestone, about sixteen miles long and up to three miles wide, with roughly 16,000 people. Clients go for beaches, villas, small resorts and restaurants, so the traffic is mostly leisure: families booking a villa for a fortnight, couples at a resort, owners joining a yacht or moving on to a neighbouring island.
Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory with internal self-government. English is the official language, and the US dollar is widely accepted alongside the East Caribbean dollar. Tourism and offshore finance are the main industries. Hurricane Irma was the strongest storm to hit the island, and a hurricane is the one event that closes an airport for days, which shapes our advice on dates.
The year in Anguilla: high season and hurricane months
The island has a long dry high season, a quiet shoulder on each side and a hurricane season that takes up the autumn:
the high season, with March the busiest month; highs stay around 28 degrees and significant rain is rarepeak
crowds thin and prices ease while the weather stays much the sameshoulder
the Atlantic hurricane season, with the highest risk in autumn; October is the wettest month, September has the fewest visitors, and many resorts and restaurants close for seasonal breakslow season, hurricane risk
The best weeks are also the dearest weeks
Christmas, the New Year and March are the dates when demand is highest, and the apron at Sint Maarten fills together with the one on Anguilla. The figures on this page describe an ordinary week, with a Falcon 900LX from Biggin Hill to Sint Maarten at £92,700 one way.
The Anguilla calendar: festivals and regattas
The dated events are few, and on an island this small each one is felt at the airport:
The festival weeks fill villas and restaurants, and the handler has one ramp, so we book the handler, the parking and the transfer with the flight.

Flying to Anguilla with a dog or a cat
A dog or cat travels in the cabin. The territory issues an import permit for each animal, and the way home is stricter than the way out.
The two facts to read before you book
Anguilla requires an import permit from the Department of Agriculture, applied for at least two weeks before travel and valid for about a month. The animal must be at least 13 weeks old and travel with an original health certificate from an accredited vet, endorsed by the government veterinary authority of the country of departure, in English. Live animals enter through Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport.
On the way home Anguilla is a non-listed country for the British rules. The animal needs a Great Britain pet health certificate and a rabies blood test on top of the usual rules, and a dog needs tapeworm treatment from a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 5 days before landing in Britain. An animal that does not meet the rules can be held in quarantine for up to four months. The blood test carries a waiting period of its own, so the return is planned before the trip and not on the island.
- A rabies vaccination given at least a month before travel, with the microchip number on every document;
- The listed vaccinations for dogs (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvovirus) or cats (panleukopenia, feline leukaemia, calicivirus, rhinotracheitis);
- A negative fecal test for internal parasites and treatment against fleas and ticks;
- For a dog staying up to three months, a temporary dog licence from Inland Revenue.
Pit bull-type dogs and other breeds regarded as ferocious may be refused or seized, and wolf hybrids and Savannah and Bengal cats are excluded unless they are at least five generations from the wild ancestor. We confirm the permit conditions with the Department of Agriculture and the entry point and paperwork in writing before the flight. Rules for birds, rabbits and the less usual species are on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. A charter to a small island is one-way by nature, and the aircraft has to cross an ocean to get home.
Where empty legs to and from the island come from
– December and the weeks after Christmas, when aircraft cross with a full cabin and head home empty, or are sent out empty to collect guests;
– The festival weeks, when a heavy jet arrives with a family, parks at Sint Maarten and flies home empty a day or two later.
A client who can offer a few days has a far better chance of a match. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page. A selection of empty legs on the Anguilla routes follows:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anguilla - UK (London Farnborough) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,000 |
| UK (London Gatwick) - Anguilla | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,100 |
| Anguilla - UK (London Luton) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,200 |
| UK (Belfast) - Anguilla | Challenger 350 | 9 seats | £29,200 |
| Sint Maarten - UK (Belfast) | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £37,200 |
| UK (London Biggin Hill) - Sint Maarten | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £38,950 |
Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat. A Falcon 900LX leg of £37,200 with eight aboard works out at about £4,650 a head. A leg to Sint Maarten also needs the crossing to Anguilla, which is not part of the price.

Helicopter charter
We do not list a regular helicopter service on Anguilla. A helicopter here is arranged case by case, from an operator on a neighbouring island, with the landing site and the customs clearance agreed in advance. The crossing from Sint Maarten is about 15 min by our estimate.
Helicopter legs: what to agree first
A landing away from an airport needs a landing site agreed with the owner and the authorities, and a landing that crosses between territories brings customs and immigration with it. The estimate uses a cruise of about 115 knots plus the time to start up and land.

Anguilla charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
Six typical jobs put together from booking notes with the particulars changed, so none describes one named client or date.
CHRISTMAS · A FAMILY OF SIX
Ten days at a villa
Farnborough - Anguilla via the Azores, Praetor 600, about 9 h 15 min plus the stop · 6 pax
The aircraft stopped at Santa Maria for fuel and landed on the island in the afternoon with daylight to spare. The return was booked as a separate one-way ten days later.
MARCH · AN OWNER
A non-stop crossing and a boat
Biggin Hill - Sint Maarten, Falcon 900LX, about 9 h · 4 pax
The owner wanted no stop and a heavy cabin, so the jet landed at Sint Maarten and a charter boat took the party across to Blowing Point. The jet stayed on the Dutch side for the week.
A SHORT HOP · TWO GUESTS
From the heavy jet to the island
Sint Maarten - Anguilla, Pilatus PC-12 NGX, about 30 min gate to gate · 2 pax
Two guests arrived on a long-range jet that could not use the island's runway, and a small aircraft was waiting for them at the handler.
A CHAIN TOUR · FOUR GUESTS
Anguilla to Antigua
Anguilla - Antigua, Citation CJ4 Gen2, about 45 min · 4 pax
After a week on the island the party moved on to Antigua, with the handler arranging clearance on departure.
WITH THE DOG · A PERMIT FIRST
A couple, a labrador and a month in the sun
Farnborough - Anguilla via the Azores, Praetor 600, about 9 h 15 min plus the stop · 2 pax + dog
The import permit was requested a month ahead, and the rabies blood test and the return paperwork were planned before the outbound flight.
EMPTY LEG · THE END OF THE SEASON
A flexible return to Belfast
Anguilla - Belfast, Challenger 350 empty leg, about 7 h 40 min plus the stop · 3 pax
The client gave us a window of four days instead of a date, and paid about £29,200, well under half of a fresh one-way charter on the same sector.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Anguilla
1How long does it take to fly to Anguilla by private jet?
About 9 hours non-stop from a London airfield to Sint Maarten in a Falcon 900LX, and about 9 hours 15 minutes in a Praetor 600 to Anguilla plus about an hour on the ground in the Azores. The way home is shorter with the jet stream behind the aircraft.
2How much does a private jet to Anguilla cost?
From about £59,500 one way from Farnborough in a Praetor 600 with a stop in the Azores, landing on Anguilla. A Falcon 900LX non-stop from Biggin Hill to Sint Maarten is about £92,700, with the crossing to the island extra. Air Passenger Duty is shown as a separate line in the quotation.
3Which airports do private jets use for Anguilla?
Clayton J. Lloyd International (AXA, TQPF) is the only airport on the island, with one handler, Lloyd Aviation Services, and customs and immigration on site. Its runway of about 5,462 feet suits light and midsize jets, so heavy jets normally land at Sint Maarten (SXM) and cross by ferry, boat or small aircraft.
4What are the passport and customs rules for a private flight from Britain to Anguilla?
British citizens need no visa for a stay of up to 90 days, and the passport must be valid for the whole stay. Prohibited, taxed or dutiable goods are declared at customs, and departure tax is paid when leaving. A landing at Sint Maarten is a separate entry.
5Can I take my dog or cat on a private jet to Anguilla?
Yes, with an import permit from the Department of Agriculture applied for at least two weeks ahead and an original health certificate endorsed by the government vet. Anguilla is not a listed country for the British rules, so the way home needs a Great Britain pet health certificate and a rabies blood test, planned in advance.
6When is the best time to fly to Anguilla, and how early should I book?
December to March is the high season, with March the busiest month. The hurricane season runs from June to November with the highest risk in autumn, and many resorts and restaurants close for part of it. Book as early as the dates are known for Christmas, the New Year and the festival weeks.
