Hire a Private Jet to Turin, Italy

Turin is the capital of the Piedmont region in north-western Italy, an elegant Baroque city of wide colonnaded arcades, grand piazzas and a remarkably dense concentration of museums, automotive heritage and Alpine access that makes it one of the most underrated private aviation destinations in Italy. Private jet clients fly to Turin for a distinctive set of reasons rarely duplicated by any other Italian city: corporate visits to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Stellantis), Leonardo (the Italian aerospace and defence group), Lavazza and the broader Piedmontese industrial base; attendance at Salone del Gusto Slow Food and the Lingotto exhibitions; the pilgrimage to the Museo Egizio - the second most important Egyptian museum in the world after Cairo; the summer and winter motorsport calendar with access to Autodromo Nazionale Monza 80 km east; and above all the extraordinary Alpine proximity that makes Turin the closest major Italian city to the Western Alps ski resorts, including Sestriere (the main venue of the 2006 Winter Olympics, 90 km by road), Bardonecchia and the Via Lattea ski area. Turin is also the gateway to the Langhe - the UNESCO-listed wine landscape south of Turin that produces Barolo, Barbaresco and the white truffles of Alba, arguably the finest food and wine terroir in Italy. Private jet charter flights to Turin arrive at Turin Caselle International Airport (TRN / LIMF), located 16 km north of the city centre. The London to Turin sector is 496 nautical miles, approximately 1 hour 31 minutes by Citation XLS+.

private jet charter Turin Italy

Turin Caselle International Airport (TRN / LIMF) is located 16 km north of Turin city centre in the Caselle Torinese municipality. The airport has a single main runway of 3,300 metres, accommodating all aircraft categories including long-range jets. A dedicated private aviation terminal (FBO) with VIP lounge facilities and ramp access serves business aviation clients. Journey time from the airport to Turin city centre is approximately 25 to 35 minutes by chauffeured car. For clients arriving specifically for Alpine skiing, the road transfer time to Sestriere is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (90 km via the A32 motorway through the Frejus tunnel direction), and to Bardonecchia approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. Helicopter connections from Turin Airport to mountain heliports in the Aosta Valley and the Western Alps significantly reduce transfer times for ski resort connections. An important alternative for Turin visitors is Milan Malpensa (MXP), 52 nm east (approximately 25 minutes by jet), which offers a more extensive FBO infrastructure and may have better aircraft availability in some cases.

Key Information:

  • Typical flight time from London to Turin: approximately 1 hour 31 minutes;
  • Private jet charter prices: from 5,600 EUR;
  • Airport: Turin Caselle International Airport (TRN / LIMF), 16 km north of city centre, runway 3,300 m;
  • Alternative airport: Milan Malpensa (MXP / LIMC), 52 nm east - larger FBO infrastructure;
  • Milan: 52 nm east - approximately 25 minutes by jet;
  • Geneva: 90 nm north-west - approximately 31 minutes by jet;
  • Nice: 94 nm south - approximately 31 minutes by jet;
  • Aosta (ski valley gateway): 34 nm north - approximately 23 minutes by jet;
  • Courchevel heliport: 44 nm north - approximately 24 minutes by jet / helicopter;
  • Most popular aircraft: Citation XLS+, Challenger 300, Phenom 300;
  • Peak demand: ski season (December to March), Alba white truffle season (October to December), Salone del Gusto (October, even years), Juventus Champions League fixtures.

Turin draws private aviation clients across four distinct categories. Automotive and industrial corporate travel is the backbone: the city is home to Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), Leonardo aerospace and defence, Lavazza, Ferrero (headquartered in nearby Alba) and a dense network of automotive suppliers and engineering companies that make Piedmont one of Italy's most significant industrial regions. Alpine ski travel is the second major category: Turin's proximity to the Via Lattea ski area (Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Cesana), Bardonecchia and the French border resorts of Montgenèvre makes it the most efficient Alpine access point from the UK by private jet - closer to the ski slopes than Geneva for the Western Alpine resorts. The Langhe food and wine circuit - Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti, the white truffles of Alba in October and November - draws a growing number of gastronomy-focused private aviation clients, particularly from London. And Turin itself is increasingly recognised as a cultural destination of the first order: the Museo Egizio, the Palazzo Reale, the Mole Antonelliana (home of the National Cinema Museum), the GAM contemporary art museum and the extraordinary Egyptian and Roman heritage beneath the city attract a discerning cultural tourism clientele.

Private jet charter prices to Turin from London start from approximately 5,600 EUR for the 496 nm sector on a Citation XLS+. The final cost depends on aircraft type, departure airport and passenger numbers.

private jet charter Turin

With more than 15 years of experience in business aviation, we arrange private jet charter flights to Turin from airports across the United Kingdom. Our team manages every stage of the journey, including aircraft sourcing, flight planning, FBO arrangements, ground transfers, ski resort connections and Langhe wine region itineraries.

Turin is a year-round private aviation destination with two distinct peak periods. The ski season from December to March drives the majority of leisure private aviation, with January and February the busiest months for Western Alps ski resort connections. The Langhe truffle season in October and November is a secondary peak for gastronomy clients. For corporate travel, Turin follows the standard Italian business calendar with August and early September being quieter periods.

Prices for the private jet flights to Turin

The London to Turin sector of 496 nautical miles is broadly comparable to London to Munich in distance, making it one of the shorter Italian city routes by private jet from the UK. The Citation XLS+ handles the sector efficiently from London, Birmingham and Manchester; from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast, the Challenger 300 class is the more natural choice at the longer sector distances of 768 to 787 nm.

Turin's position directly below the Western Alps means that many ski season bookings combine the Turin arrival with an onward helicopter or short fixed-wing connection to the mountain resorts. Aosta Valley Airport (AOT) is just 34 nm north of Turin (approximately 23 minutes by jet), serving as the gateway for helicopter connections into the Aosta Valley resorts including Cervinia and Courmayeur. Courchevel heliport in France is 44 nm from Turin (approximately 24 minutes by helicopter in favourable conditions), and Cuneo Airport (CUF) to the south-west at 39 nm is increasingly used for access to the Mondovi and Cuneo ski areas and as an overflow for Turin during peak ski weekends.

The white truffle season in Alba (October to early December) creates a distinctive demand pattern: clients fly into Turin and transfer 60 km south to Alba for the truffle market, Barolo and Barbaresco tastings and multi-day Langhe gastronomy itineraries. This is a growing and underserved segment of the private aviation market from the UK, and we arrange bespoke Langhe circuits on request.

Most Requested Aircraft for Flights to Turin

Turin's sector of 496 to 787 nm from UK departure airports is well within the range of midsize jets and light jets from southern UK, making the Citation XLS+ the natural choice from London and Birmingham.   • Citation XLS+ - the most popular choice for UK-Turin from southern airports, combining 7 to 8 passenger capacity with competitive hourly rates. Well suited to ski season travel with reasonable hold capacity for equipment;
  • Challenger 300 / Challenger 350 - the preferred choice for ski groups from all UK airports, with a stand-up cabin and the best hold capacity for ski equipment, boots and winter luggage in the midsize category;
  • Challenger 605 - chosen for larger groups of 10 to 12 passengers, corporate delegations and clients combining Turin with onward connections across Italy or Switzerland;
  • King Air 350 - a practical option for smaller groups seeking the most economical private aviation option on the under-2-hour sector from London.

Note: ski equipment, snowboards, helmets and boot bags can be accommodated on all of the above aircraft, though we advise confirming hold dimensions for particularly large groups with extensive ski kit. We always check hold capacity against your luggage requirements as part of the booking process.

Turin - destination overview

Turin is one of the great overlooked cities of Italy - a place that most international visitors bypass on the way to Milan, Rome or Florence, and which rewards those who do arrive with a density of cultural riches, culinary excellence and architectural grandeur that few Italian cities match. The city was the first capital of unified Italy (1861-1865) and the seat of the House of Savoy, whose royal ambitions shaped the city's Baroque urban fabric: the long straight colonnaded arcades (portici) that run for miles through the city centre, sheltering pedestrians under 18 km of covered walkways in one of the longest such systems in the world; the extraordinary Piazza San Carlo, the city's drawing room; and the Palazzo Reale, the royal palace complex at the heart of the historic centre.

The Museo Egizio - the Egyptian Museum of Turin - is the most important collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts outside of Cairo, and in many respects the best presented. Founded in 1824 with a collection built on the expeditions of Bernardino Drovetti, the museum holds more than 30,000 objects including one of only four complete Egyptian temples outside Egypt (the Temple of Ellesiya), a remarkable collection of royal mummies, and papyrus scrolls that include the Turin Royal Canon, the most complete list of Egyptian pharaohs known to survive. The museum's 2015 renovation by Dante Ferretti created one of the finest museum environments in Italy.

The Mole Antonelliana - the extraordinary 167-metre spired structure that dominates Turin's skyline, begun as a synagogue in 1863 and completed in 1889 - now houses the National Cinema Museum, one of the most creative and immersive museum experiences in Europe. Turin's connection to cinema is deep: the city was the cradle of Italian film production in the early 20th century, and the Lumiere brothers gave their first Italian screening here in 1896.

Automobile culture is embedded in Turin's identity. Fiat was founded here in 1899, and the Lingotto factory - the extraordinary Fordist production plant designed by Matté Trucco in the 1920s, with a rooftop test track that curves over the building - now houses a shopping centre, hotel, concert hall and the Pinacoteca Agnelli art gallery, an outstanding small collection of works given to the city by the Agnelli family. The Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile (MAUTO), recently renovated, is one of the finest automotive museums in the world.
