Private jet charter in Saint Kitts and Nevis
Two volcanic islands, a channel about three kilometres wide between them, and a runway on one that takes scheduled airliners from London: that is the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis from a charter planner's desk. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. For St Kitts and Nevis that means a super-midsize or larger jet, a technical stop in the Azores or a long non-stop leg, and a landing at Robert L. Bradshaw on St Kitts, where a private jet terminal stands beside the main one.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in St Kitts and Nevis depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Farnborough, an Embraer Praetor 600 to Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on St Kitts with one technical stop in the Azores, and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to St Kitts and Nevis?
From Farnborough the straight line to St Kitts is 3,692 nautical miles. A Praetor 600 or a Challenger 350 flies it in two legs through Santa Maria in the Azores, 1,400 nautical miles and then 2,398, together 106 more than the direct line, so the stop costs about an hour on the ground and very little extra distance. A very long-range jet covers the whole crossing in one hop, and we ask whether the party and its luggage need that cabin before we price it.
3,798 nautical miles from Farnborough in two legs, with about an hour on the ground at Santa Mariaabout 9 h 15 min plus the stop
3,692 nautical miles from Farnborough in a single hopabout 8 h 10 min
56 nautical miles, the usual way on to a second airportabout 40 min gate to gate

What sets the aircraft for these islands
The runway on St Kitts is not the constraint: directories list about 7,600 feet, Wikipedia 8,000, and scheduled flights from London, Miami and New York land on it. The distance from Britain decides the aircraft.
Nevis is another matter. Its runway is listed at about 4,000 feet, which suits turboprops and, after a performance check, some light jets, so a transatlantic jet lands on St Kitts.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

| London Gatwick - St Kitts 3,714 nm / 6,878 km, non-stop |
Gulfstream G550 up to 16 |

Two things worth knowing about these figures
– A Praetor 600 from Farnborough starts at £59,750, and the same aircraft from Biggin Hill is £60,200. A Falcon 900LX from Biggin Hill without a stop is about £93,150 and a Gulfstream G650ER about £120,100. The larger jet buys cabin space and a single hop;
– A one-way price carries the aircraft's journey home, because the jet has to cross the Atlantic again whether it carries you or not. A stay of a week or two booked as a return, or a flexible date that catches an empty leg, changes the arithmetic more than any negotiation. Air Passenger Duty is shown as a separate line in the quotation.
Private jet flights from St Kitts to its neighbours
There is almost no internal flying, so a private flight from St Kitts is nearly always a hop to a neighbouring island. Commuter airlines serve most of these routes, and a charter is chosen for timing or luggage:
| Route | Aircraft | Flight time | Price, one way |
|---|---|---|---|
| St Kitts - Antigua 56 nm / 104 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 40 min | from £3,100 |

| St Kitts - Anguilla 59 nm / 109 km |
Pilatus PC-12 NGX up to 9 |
about 45 min | from £3,100 |
| St Kitts - San Juan 207 nm / 383 km |

about 1 h | from £6,800 |
| St Kitts - Barbados 328 nm / 607 km |
Citation XLS+ up to 9 |
about 1 h 15 min | from £6,900 |
Every sector ends in another jurisdiction
Antigua and Barbados are separate countries, Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory, Sint Maarten is divided between France and the Netherlands, and San Juan lies in the United States. Each landing is a fresh entry with its own checks, so we ask for the local handler's confirmation before a hop is quoted. Nevis is ten nautical miles away, and most guests go by boat.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for St Kitts and Nevis:
Turboprops
The aircraft for the islands, not the crossing: the hop to Antigua or Sint Maarten and the shorter runway on Nevis.
Light jets
They suit regional hops, but no light jet crosses from Britain without several stops.
Super-midsize
The class we price for the crossing with one stop in the Azores, the best balance of cost and cabin.
Heavy jets
Room for a family with staff and a winter fortnight's luggage; one stop in the Azores reaches St Kitts.
Ultra-long range
The class that crosses in one hop, worth the premium when the schedule is tight.

Business aviation airports for St Kitts and Nevis
This is a small market, and we describe the facilities as directories and operators list them. St Kitts has a private jet terminal. Nevis has a runway for smaller aircraft and no named terminal.
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Robert L. Bradshaw SKB / TKPK |
Just north-east of Basseterre, about two miles from the capital | The airport we plan on. One asphalt runway, 07/25, listed at about 7,600 by 148 feet by one directory and at 8,000 feet by Wikipedia, fire category 9, NDB and DME approach. An airport of entry with customs on site; slots are not required and handling is not mandatory. Jet fuel is listed, and the apron was enlarged to hold six wide-bodied aircraft. The private jet terminal is KayanJet, shown by Signature Aviation as Kayan Jet Center, beside the main terminal, with a lounge, concierge, help with immigration and baggage, catering, ground power and rental cars. Its line is staffed from 06:00 to 21:00 local time, the same hours as the tower, so we plan arrivals inside that window |
| Vance W. Amory NEV / TKPN |
On the north-east coast of Nevis near Newcastle, about 13 kilometres from Charlestown | A single asphalt runway, 10/28, of about 4,000 by 98 feet, GPS approach. Customs is listed, slots are not required and handling is not mandatory. Administration is listed from 08:00 to 16:00 local time with prior permission outside those hours, and the tower from 06:00 to 21:00. Scheduled flights are commuter services. The right airport for a turboprop or a light jet, and none for the Atlantic crossing. No named private jet terminal is listed, so handling goes through a provider |
| Antigua V. C. Bird ANU / TAPA |
56 nautical miles to the east-south-east of St Kitts | The alternative gateway when a flight diverts. A runway of about 9,000 feet, a Signature terminal with customs and immigration on site. From there a turboprop reaches St Kitts in well under an hour gate to gate |
| Sint Maarten Princess Juliana SXM / TNCM |
51 nautical miles to the north-west of St Kitts | A busy winter airport with two FBOs and customs on site, useful for guests who base their jet there and hop across to St Kitts |
Plan around the hours
Both airports are listed with limited hours and prior permission for night operations, so we fix the departure time backwards from the 21:00 closing time.
Choose a gateway for the next stop
The terminal on St Kitts was pitched at guests bound for Sint Maarten or St Barths who prefer to land here. Where customs are cleared depends on the plan, and we agree it before the quote.
Charter permission and passenger data
Older published guidance lists, for a charter, an application to the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority at least 24 hours before landing, with the operator's insurance certificate and a local handling agent named, and advance passenger information under the Caribbean scheme. We file what applies and confirm it with the handler before departure.
Arriving from Britain: passports, customs and what to carry
A flight from London arrives as an international flight, and everyone aboard clears immigration and customs at the first airport the aircraft reaches.
valid for at least six months after the day you arrive; British citizens need no visa and may stay up to six monthsevery passenger, children included
every visitor must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation before travel and should complete the online immigration form in advancebefore departure
strict; goods that may be prohibited or subject to tax or duty must be declareddeclare when in doubt
usually included in commercial ticket prices; on a private flight ask the handler how it is collectedask the handler
British government travel advice does not cover private aircraft, so we confirm the arrival procedure with the handler in writing before the flight. A yellow fever certificate is needed only for those arriving from a country with a risk of transmission.
Coming home is a flight into Britain from outside the country. A General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation, while most other nationalities do.

Which part of the federation is near the airport
St Kitts is the larger island and Nevis the smaller, with a strait between them. Where you stay decides whether the next hour is a car or a boat:
the harbour, the cruise port at Port Zante and most of the hotels in town, about two miles from the private jet terminalRobert L. Bradshaw
Christophe Harbour on Banana Bay, with the Park Hyatt St Kitts, a marina for large yachts and a Tom Fazio golf courseRobert L. Bradshaw
about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport to Reggae Beach, then a water taxi to Oualie Beach in roughly 6 to 15 minutes; passenger ferries from Basseterre to Charlestown take 25 to 45 minutesRobert L. Bradshaw or Vance W. Amory
Car ferries from Majors Bay and the passenger ferry from Basseterre run several times a day, and water taxis run in daylight. For a party with luggage we book the boat in advance.
St Kitts and Nevis: what our clients go for
The federation covers 261 square kilometres and is the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere, with roughly 48,000 people. Mount Liamuiga on St Kitts rises to 1,156 metres and Nevis Peak to 985, so both islands are green and steep. Brimstone Hill Fortress, a national park, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A narrow-gauge railway built to haul sugar, 29 kilometres long, now carries visitors in open-air coaches.
The traffic is leisure and quiet by Caribbean standards: villa and hotel guests, yacht owners and their crews, golfers, and families visiting for the carnival. English is the official language, traffic drives on the left and the currency is the East Caribbean dollar.
The year in St Kitts and Nevis: dry months and hurricane months
The sea stays between about 26 and 29 degrees all year. The seasons differ in rain and in risk:
the dry, sunny high season and the busiest and dearest part of the year, though still quiet by Caribbean standardspeak
warm and mostly dry, with lighter crowds and gentler pricesshoulder
the official hurricane season, with the greatest risk from August to October; September is the riskiest month and the cheapest, and August to October is also the wettest periodlow season, hurricane risk
Heat and rain
Mean monthly temperatures in Basseterre run from about 24 to 27 degrees, and annual rainfall averages roughly 2,400 millimetres. A hurricane warning can close both airports, so for September and October we keep dates flexible.
The St Kitts and Nevis calendar: carnival, music and Culturama
A few dates fill the islands, and with two small airports each of them is felt at the terminal:
These weeks fill the hotels and the road to Basseterre, so we confirm the handler and the transfer with the flight.

Flying to St Kitts and Nevis with a dog or a cat
A dog or cat travels in the cabin. The way out and the way home have separate rules.
The two facts to read before you book
Entry to St Kitts and Nevis typically needs an import permit from the Chief Veterinary Officer, an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination after the microchip, a government-endorsed health certificate dated within 30 days of travel, and parasite treatment within five days of the flight. Dogs and cats are listed as arriving by air at Robert L. Bradshaw, and a period of home confinement of 14 days under veterinary supervision is listed for new arrivals. The rabies timing and any blood test depend on the country the animal comes from, and we check them with the Veterinary Services for your route.
On the way home St Kitts and Nevis is a listed country for the British rules, so the animal needs a Great Britain pet health certificate, and a dog needs tapeworm treatment from a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 5 days before landing in Britain. A cat needs no tapeworm treatment. An animal that does not meet the conditions can be quarantined for up to four months.
- The microchip number goes on every document, and the chip is read before the rabies vaccine is given;
- Cats are listed as needing negative feline leukaemia and immunodeficiency tests taken within 30 days of travel;
- Pit Bull and Staffordshire-type dogs, the American Bulldog and several other purebred breeds are listed as banned;
- Puppies and kittens too young for the rabies vaccine are not admitted.
A confinement of two weeks does not suit a short stay. We confirm the permit, the entry point and the paperwork in writing before the flight. Requirements for birds, rabbits and the less usual species are set out on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. A charter to the Eastern Caribbean is one-way by nature, and the aircraft has to cross an ocean to get home, so a leg appears whenever a jet is sent out to collect a party or flies back after dropping one.
These legs are less regular than on a European corridor, and a client with a few days to spare has a far better chance of a match. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page. A selection of empty legs on the St Kitts runs follows:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| St Kitts - UK (London Farnborough) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,100 |
| UK (London Gatwick) - St Kitts | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,200 |
| St Kitts - UK (London Luton) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £25,300 |
| UK (Belfast) - St Kitts | Challenger 350 | 9 seats | £29,350 |
| St Kitts - UK (Belfast) | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £37,450 |
| UK (London Biggin Hill) - St Kitts | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £39,100 |
Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat.

Helicopter charter
We did not find a regular helicopter service in the federation. A helicopter here is arranged case by case, from an operator on a neighbouring island, with the landing site and the customs clearance agreed in advance. For Nevis the water taxi is the practical answer.
