Private jet charter in Brno
A light jet that leaves a London airfield at breakfast time lands at Brno before the morning is over, on a 2,650 m runway that most visitors to the Czech Republic never see because they head for Prague. Private Jets UK plans the charter around that choice. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Brno has one concrete runway, handling by the airport company itself and customs listed round the clock, while Vienna, Bratislava and Prague stand ready as alternatives when the programme points beyond Moravia. The real decisions are the stand, the arrival hour and whether the second day belongs to the circuit, the vineyards or the caves.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Brno depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, a Cessna Citation CJ3+ and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Brno?
Two hours from Biggin Hill or London City in a light jet, two hours fifteen from Edinburgh, and one hour of clock difference to allow for on arrival, because the Czech Republic keeps Central European time. At 678 to 901 nautical miles from the British fields we use, Brno is a light-jet sector from the south of England and a job for a larger cabin from Scotland or Northern Ireland. Prague, the usual alternative, lies 115 nautical miles to the north-west. Each field has its own line in the table.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall
Leave a London airfield at seven in the morning and you are on the ground at Brno around ten local time. The airport sits inside the city limits, about 7.5 km south-east of the main railway station and next to the D1 motorway, so the drive to a meeting in the centre is short. What you will not find is a separate private terminal described in the aerodrome data: the airport company handles every flight itself, and for flights from outside Schengen the arrival is placed on the middle, west or east apron, where customs and passport control are handled. We agree the stand and the route to your car with the handler in advance, so the first minutes on the ground are not spent looking for them.
Light jet or midsize: how the choice usually goes on this route
– A party of four with ordinary luggage is comfortable in a light jet. Two hours in a CJ3+ or a Phenom is short, and the difference against a midsize cabin covers the car and a good dinner;
– With five or six aboard, or golf clubs, cases of wine for the return or trade-fair samples, we price a midsize cabin next to the light jet so that both figures are on the table. On this route the baggage hold tends to decide before the seat count does;
– A heavy jet is rarely needed for Brno alone. It makes sense for a large group, or when the same aircraft carries on to another capital. Mind the stand: the general aviation stands on the west apron are listed for wingspans up to 24 m, so a long-range jet is placed by arrangement.

Private jet flights from Brno
Brno lies within about 140 km of both Vienna and Bratislava and 210 km of Prague, which makes it a handy middle point for a Central European loop. Vienna and Bratislava are about thirty-five minutes away by turboprop, Prague about forty-five, Budapest and Munich fit inside a turboprop or light-jet hour, and the Riviera and the Gulf are the long sectors. Onward from Brno: when the aircraft wins and when the car does
Vienna is 65 nautical miles away on the chart, about 35 minutes in a Pilatus PC-12, and by road it is roughly 140 km, close to two hours. Bratislava is the same 65 nautical miles and about 130 km on the D2. Prague is 115 nautical miles, about 45 minutes in the air, against roughly 210 km on the D1. The motorways are good, so for a meeting in the centre of either city the car is a fair rival, and the aircraft wins when the party is large, when the schedule is tight or when the far end is the airport itself. The Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary are all inside Schengen, so the first landing carries the formalities and the hops after it are free of passport control.
Before you accept a Central European onward quote
– The airport at the far end. Vienna and Prague have general aviation terminals and more than one handler, Bratislava a terminal of its own, and each sets its own rules for slots and stands, so we check handling and parking before a price is written;
– One booking or several. Brno, Vienna and Prague and then home over three days is cheaper as a single trip, because the crew and the aircraft stay with you and do not fly back to base between stops.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Brno:
Light jets, the usual choice for four or five people
About two hours in the air suits a small party with ordinary luggage. Range is not an issue, the 2,650 m runway is generous for the type, and the savings are better spent on the car and the hotel than on a larger cabin that stays half empty.
Midsize, for golf bags, wine cases and a long weekend
The hold fills faster than the seats on a Moravian trip: clubs for the spring, racing kit for the circuit, and a few cases from the cellars on the way back.
Super-midsize and large
For a team that wants to work in the air, a group travelling as one party, or a trip that carries on from Brno to the Gulf. Check the stand first: the general aviation stands on the west apron are listed for wingspans up to 24 m.
Turboprops
The right aircraft for the Central European hops: Vienna, Bratislava and Prague are about three quarters of an hour or less in the air, and the saving over a jet on those distances is large.
Helicopters
Used for the final stretch rather than the flight from Britain: the Brno circuit, the Moravian Karst to the north, or the castles and vineyards of the south. The landing site is settled before we quote.

That is only a sample of the fleet. With Vienna, Bratislava, Prague and Budapest all close, a suitable aircraft is usually based within an hour of Brno, and a quote may name one of those cities as the starting point. For a regional airport this is the normal pattern, and it is often the source of the better price.

Business aviation airports in Brno
One airport carries most Brno trips, and three more matter when the programme leaves Moravia. The right choice follows the meeting, not the aircraft.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Brno, Tuřany BRQ / LKTB |
The answer for any trip whose business is in Brno or South Moravia. About 7.5 km south-east of the main railway station, with a single concrete runway of 2,650 m by 60 m (09/27) and the only instrument landing system on runway 27, a Category I approach. Handling is by the airport company itself, Jet A-1 comes from Shell, de-icing is available on the aprons, and hangar space for visiting business aircraft is limited and given on request. There is no separate private-aviation terminal described in the aerodrome data, so we agree the stand and the passenger route with the handler beforehand |
| Vienna International, Schwechat VIE / LOWW |
The big-jet alternative, about 140 km south of Brno by road, with a General Aviation Center that Jet Aviation runs round the clock among other handlers. Choose it when the meeting is in Vienna, when the aircraft is too large for the Brno stands, or when you want a choice of handlers and hangars |
| Bratislava, M. R. Štefánik BTS / LZIB |
The Slovak alternative, about 9 km north-east of the centre of Bratislava and roughly 130 km from Brno on the D2, with runways of 3,190 m and 2,900 m and a General Aviation Terminal for private, business and VIP flights. It suits a programme that is half in Bratislava, or a party that wants a terminal of its own |
| Prague, Václav Havel PRG / LKPR |
The Czech capital, about 210 km north-west of Brno by road, with general and business aviation dispatched from Terminal 3, compulsory ground handling and limited hangar space. It is the better landing for a meeting in Prague itself, and it prices lower from Britain, though the drive east to Moravia is long |
Four things to settle before a Brno landing:
Handling, stands and fuel
The airport company is the handling agent for all flights. General aviation stands on the west apron take aircraft with wingspans up to 24 m, which covers most light and midsize jets, and the aerodrome data names no stands for anything wider, so a Global or a large Gulfstream is placed by agreement. Fuel is Jet A-1 from Shell, de-icing is done on the aprons with Type I and Type II fluids, and hangar space is limited and on request.
Hours, slots and permits
The aerodrome is listed as open round the clock, and the airport states that customs is available at any hour without a night or weekend surcharge on its fees, though the aerodrome data says only that customs hours follow the airport administration, so we confirm an out-of-hours clearance before the quote. Slots are asked for only on repetitive approaches and training, not for an ordinary arrival. Aircraft that fail the noise standards cannot land or take off between 21:00 and 05:00 local time without an exemption. A British operator running a charter also needs permission from the Czech Ministry of Transport, applied for at least three working days ahead and fifteen for a series, which we track for you.
Border and passport
The Czech Republic is in Schengen and Britain is not, and a flight arriving from outside Schengen must make its first landing at an airport with permanent customs and passport services, which Brno is. British passport holders need no visa for up to 90 days in any 180, with a passport less than ten years old and valid for three months beyond departure. A first-time visitor may be asked to register a photograph and fingerprints at the EU border system, which is free.
Car and timing
The city centre is about 10 km from the airport and the main railway station 7.5 km, so a car takes a quarter of an hour or a little more. A day bus runs to the station in about a quarter of an hour, but a private party uses a car. Give us the stand as well as the flight number, so the driver is waiting at the right apron, and tell us early if the day is a race weekend or a fair week, when the roads around the city fill.

Border, passport and the road to Vienna
Passport control and customs are done once, at the first Schengen landing, and at Brno that happens on the apron the handler has agreed for you, which keeps the arrival quick when the team knows the aircraft in advance. After that the border all but disappears. The Czech Republic belongs to the Schengen area, so the drive south to Vienna, about 140 km, or east into Slovakia involves no further passport control, although a car can still be stopped for a document check. Foreign visitors without a Czech residence permit must register their address with the foreign police within three days, and a hotel does this for you, so keep your passport with you at check-in. For the return, the General Aviation Report for Britain is filed not earlier than 48 hours and not later than 2 hours before departure.

From the apron to Špilberk
Brno is the second city of the Czech Republic, with about 400,000 residents, ten universities and some 65,000 students, at the meeting of the Svitava and Svratka rivers. Gregor Mendel worked out his pea experiments in the abbey here, and the centre keeps two landmarks above the roofs: Špilberk castle, once the seat of the Moravian margraves and later a baroque citadel whose fortifications Napoleon ordered dismantled, and the cathedral of St Peter and St Paul on Petrov hill, with towers 84 m high. The cathedral bells ring at eleven and not at noon, from a legend about a Swedish siege in the Thirty Years War. A little north of the centre, on a slope facing Špilberk, stands Villa Tugendhat, the functionalist house by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich that is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is open daily except Monday and the interior needs a ticket bought in advance, which is something to settle before the aircraft is booked.

Flying to Brno with a dog or a cat
The flight is the easy part of taking a pet to Moravia. The animal rides in the cabin beside you, never in a hold, and on a two-hour sector most dogs sleep. The paperwork and its dates are what need care, starting with the health certificate, which is valid for only ten days for entry to the EU.

What an EU country such as the Czech Republic asks for when a pet arrives from Britain:
- An ISO microchip, fitted before the rabies vaccination or at the same time;
- A rabies vaccination given when the animal was at least 12 weeks old, with 21 days elapsed after the first vaccination before the animal travels;
- An Animal Health Certificate for each trip, issued by an Official Veterinarian and valid for ten days for entry to the EU. A British pet passport cannot be used to enter the EU;
- A written declaration from the owner that the movement is not commercial, and no more than five animals per traveller. Pets from outside the EU must enter at a designated point, which we confirm in writing for the airport;
- For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival back in Britain, recorded on the paperwork. Cats are exempt.
What catches owners out on the Brno run
– The point of entry. The official Czech visitor guidance says that the one veterinary border check a dog or cat must pass is at Prague Airport, and Brno is not named. If the animal is on board and the landing is Brno, the entry point has to be agreed with the veterinary authority first, and we confirm it in writing before the booking is taken. Where it cannot be agreed, the practical answer is to land at Prague and drive;
– The tapeworm treatment has to be given by a vet in Brno shortly before you leave. The window runs from 24 to 120 hours before arrival in Britain, so count back from the departure time: if the flight slips by a day, the appointment may have to move with it;
– Chip first, vaccine second. A rabies vaccination given before the microchip does not count, and an animal that arrives with faulty paperwork can be turned away, so we go through the certificate line by line before the flight and not at the apron.
Cats, ferrets, birds and less usual animals are covered in our flying with pets guide. The entry point and the papers for the journey home are confirmed to you in writing before the flight, and a manager checks them against your dates before a booking is accepted.
The Brno calendar: fairs, a race weekend and the wine harvest
Brno has a busy trade-fair spring and autumn, a June race weekend, a wine harvest in September and a modest Advent. The week you pick has more effect on the price than the aircraft does.
Why a race or fair week costs more
The aircraft are not the scarce item. What runs short in a Grand Prix or engineering-fair week is rooms and drivers in the centre, and stand space at the airport, because the general aviation stands are few and a hangar for a visiting jet is given only on request. Book two weeks ahead and it can still be done, but the aircraft may have to be brought from Vienna, Prague or Bratislava, and the positioning goes on the bill. Book four or five weeks ahead and the same trip is simpler and cheaper. In an ordinary week a Brno charter can usually be put together in a day or two.
Ways to bring the Brno price down
- Shift the dates by a day or two if you can. The days on either side of the Grand Prix or the autumn fair are far calmer than the event days;
- Ask where the aircraft starts the day. A jet already parked in Vienna, Prague or Budapest needs less positioning than one coming out from Britain, and on a sector of this length that is a real part of the price;
- Check whether Prague works as well. On the same light jet from Biggin Hill, the sector to Prague is priced about £1,300 lower than the one to Brno, while Vienna and Bratislava come out about £250 and £500 higher. The saving is real, and so is the 210 km drive east from Prague, so let the place of the meeting decide.
Types of flights
Brno is not a capital, and its traffic shows it: a university and engineering city with a big exhibition centre and a racing circuit, and the starting point for the wine country and the castles of the south.
- Business travel, with fixed meeting dates and a small team: the city has ten universities and a long engineering tradition, and a meeting often means a morning in and an afternoon out;
- Trade fairs and congresses at the Brno Exhibition Centre, from the electronics fair in March to the engineering fair in autumn, when delegations arrive in small groups;
- Motorsport, above all the Czech motorcycle Grand Prix weekend in June and the car-racing rounds at the circuit in September, often with a helicopter for the last stretch;
- Wine and castles, with a car or a helicopter meeting the aircraft for Mikulov, Lednice and Valtice and the cellar villages of South Moravia;
- Day trips to the Moravian Karst, Villa Tugendhat and Slavkov, the battlefield of Austerlitz, with a driver who knows the roads;
- Hops to Vienna, Bratislava, Prague and Budapest inside a longer Central European loop.
The same-day return deserves a closer look. Touch down around ten, take off at five local time and you are back on the British side a little after six in the evening, UK time, having had seven hours in Moravia. The crew and aircraft stay on the ground for you, and that waiting time is billed, yet the total is normally lower than two one-way charters. We price both versions so you can compare them.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a flight flown without passengers to put an aircraft where its next job is, and it is sold at a fraction of the normal price. Brno has no steady stream of them. They come from the events in the calendar and from traffic at the neighbouring airports, so it helps to know where to look.
Where Brno empty legs come from
– Race and fair weekends. A party flies in on the Friday, the aircraft goes home empty, and that creates an outbound leg that can be sold for the Sunday or Monday after the event;
– The wine season. Aircraft that take guests to Vienna, Bratislava or Prague for a vineyard trip sometimes reposition through Brno, and a leg towards Britain from there is one that can be offered;
– Central European loops. Operators moving aircraft between Prague, Vienna and Budapest put short legs on the market, and those short hops can be cheap.
The Moravian corridor is thinner than the busiest London routes, so a client who can offer a few days has a much better chance than one who needs a particular evening. The trade-off is the familiar one: the operator controls the date and the hour, and the leg can disappear if the original booking changes. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Brno match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
Inside Brno the old centre is compact enough to cross by car or on foot, and local operators sell short scenic flights over the city and the reservoir in light Robinson helicopters. A helicopter earns its fee on the outskirts: at the circuit, in the Moravian Karst to the north, and among the castles and vineyards to the south.
Špilberk, the cathedral on Petrov hill, the reservoir and the rooftops of the old town seen from the airtypically 30 minutes
10 nm from the airport in a straight line, so a race-weekend transfer skips the traffic around the circuitabout 13 minutes
14 nm to the 138 m Macocha Abyss, against about 35 minutes by carabout 15 minutes
22 nm in a straight line, against about 40 minutes on the roadabout 19 minutes
24 nm in a straight line to the castles and the Minaretabout 21 minutes
Before you plan around a helicopter
– Landing sites are not a free choice. A landing away from an aerodrome needs an agreed site and the landowner's consent, so we establish the status of a hotel lawn, a winery or a hillside before pricing, and in a protected landscape area such as the Moravian Karst the park rules come first;
– Weather decides. Fog, low cloud and winter snow can ground a helicopter on a day when the jet lands normally, so every transfer carries a road alternative for the same day;
– Crossing into Austria or Slovakia needs a second set of permissions. Give us the landing site at the far end when you ask for a quote, and order the helicopter together with the jet.
The machines we book for this kind of ground are the Airbus H125 for scenic and short transfers, the wider H130 for villa and winery transfers, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and the H155 for larger parties. Aircraft for charter are usually positioned from outside Moravia, so we book them alongside the jet and both crews work to one timetable.

Brno charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
DAY TRIP · OUT AND BACK
A morning meeting in Brno and home for dinner
Biggin Hill - Brno and return, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h each way · 4 pax
Wheels up at seven, down at Brno around ten local time, at the table by eleven and back at Biggin Hill for the early evening. The crew waited on the ground instead of flying home, a cost that appears as its own line in the quote, and the total was still lower than two one-way charters. A long day that works.
TRADE FAIR · FIXED DATES
A buying team for the autumn engineering fair
London Luton - Brno, Citation XLS+, about 2 h · 8 pax
The fair fixed the dates, not the client. Eight people with laptops and sample cases asked for a single car at the aircraft. The request came four weeks ahead, the handler had agreed the stand and the passport check in advance, and the arrival needed no explanation on the day.
MOTORSPORT · RACE WEEKEND
A June party for the motorcycle Grand Prix
Farnborough - Brno, Phenom 300E, about 1 h 55 min · 6 pax
They wanted to be at the circuit by the afternoon of the practice day. We quoted Brno with a helicopter from the airport to the circuit and a car for the return after the race, and kept Vienna as a priced fallback in case the stand could not be confirmed. The question that settled it was how much of the day the roads would take.
WINE AND CASTLES · A LONG WEEKEND
Mikulov, Lednice and a cellar dinner
Southampton - Brno, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 05 min · 6 pax
The party wanted South Moravia for three days and nothing of the city but the airport. A driver met the aircraft, took them south to Mikulov by road, and the cases bought at the cellars came back in the hold on Monday. A midsize cabin was chosen over a light jet for the bags alone.
A DOG ON BOARD · SOUTH MORAVIA
Four adults and a spaniel for a September weekend
Birmingham - Brno, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 05 min · 4 pax + dog
The Animal Health Certificate had to be dated inside ten days of arrival, the entry point for the dog was confirmed in writing before the booking, and the vet appointment in Brno for the tapeworm treatment had to fall between 24 and 120 hours before the flight home. We booked all of it with the aircraft, and the whole thing was settled in a single exchange of messages rather than three.
EMPTY LEG · SUNDAY EVENING WEST
A jet already going your way
Brno - London Luton, Phenom 300E empty leg, about 1 h 55 min · 3 pax
The jet had delivered a weekend party and was flying back without passengers. The client offered a three-day window instead of a fixed date, which is what makes these deals possible, and paid far less than a new one-way charter for a Sunday evening departure to the London fields.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Brno
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Brno?
About 2 hours from London City and Biggin Hill in a light jet, and around 1 hour 55 minutes from Luton in a Phenom, covering roughly 678 to 709 nautical miles. From Birmingham allow about 2 hours 5 minutes, from Manchester or Bristol about 2 hours 10 minutes, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow around 2 hours 15 to 20 minutes. The Czech Republic is one hour ahead of Britain, so a seven o'clock departure lands around ten local time.
2How much does a private jet to Brno cost?
From about £9,600 one way on a light jet out of London City or Biggin Hill, and £9,850 to £10,000 in a Phenom from Luton or Farnborough. A midsize cabin runs £12,700 to £13,500 from the south and Midlands, and from Scotland allow £18,250 to £18,800. The Grand Prix weekend in June and the autumn fair weeks can price above these figures.
3Which airport should a private jet use, Brno, Vienna, Bratislava or Prague?
Brno-Tuřany (BRQ / LKTB) if the business is in Brno or South Moravia. It is about 7.5 km from the main railway station, has a 2,650 m runway with an instrument approach to runway 27 and is handled by the airport company. Vienna (VIE / LOWW) and Bratislava (BTS / LZIB) are roughly 140 and 130 km away by road and suit a larger jet or a programme split between cities, and Prague (PRG / LKPR) is about 210 km away and, on the same light jet from Biggin Hill, is priced about £1,300 lower than Brno.
4Do I need a visa or customs clearance for Brno?
Britain is outside Schengen and the Czech Republic is inside it, so you clear passport control and customs on arrival, and the first landing from abroad must be at an airport with permanent customs and passport services, which Brno is. British passport holders need no visa for up to 90 days in any 180, with a passport less than ten years old and valid for three months beyond departure. A British operator running a charter also needs permission from the Czech Ministry of Transport, applied for at least three working days ahead for a single flight. We follow the permit alongside the aircraft paperwork.
5Can I land at Brno at night, and does the airport need a slot?
The aerodrome is listed as open round the clock and the airport states that customs is available at any hour, though we confirm an out-of-hours clearance before quoting. Slots are asked for only on repetitive and training approaches, not for an ordinary arrival, but aircraft that fail the noise standards cannot take off or land between 21:00 and 05:00 local time without an exemption. On the Grand Prix weekend and in the autumn fair weeks the stands and the cars are the limit, so book early.
6Can I take my dog to Brno on a private jet?
Yes, with one point to settle first. The dog travels in the cabin with you, and an EU country such as the Czech Republic asks for a microchip fitted before or with the rabies vaccination, a vaccination given at 12 weeks or older and at least 21 days old, and an Animal Health Certificate valid for ten days for entry. A British pet passport cannot be used. The official Czech guidance names the veterinary border check for dogs and cats at Prague Airport, so we confirm the entry point for a Brno landing in writing before the booking. A dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arriving back in Britain, and cats are exempt.
