Private jet charter in Al Fujairah
Fujairah is the emirate that sits on the Indian Ocean side of the UAE, and for a party flying out of London that single fact is usually the whole reason to land here and not in Dubai. The sector is the same long seven hours, the cabin is chosen for range before comfort, and the real decision is the one made on the ground: a small airport two kilometres from the town, with mountains behind it and a coast of dive sites and beach resorts in front. Private Jets UK arranges the charter from the first quote to the car at the aircraft door. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Fujairah International has its own FBO, no slot queue and a runway long enough for anything we would send, and what is left to settle is the aircraft, the date and how the passengers want to spend their time between the sea and the Hajar mountains.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Fujairah depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London Stansted, an Embraer Praetor 600 and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Fujairah?
Plan on seven and a quarter hours or more. From the London fields the distance is 3,109 to 3,141 nautical miles, from the Midlands and the north it grows to about 3,218, and from Glasgow it reaches 3,320, all measured with an allowance for routing. That is beyond any light or midsize jet without a fuel stop, which is why every row of the table below is flown in a super-midsize jet, the Embraer Praetor 600, with a published range of about 4,000 nautical miles with four passengers. The UAE keeps its clocks on the same time all year, four hours ahead of Britain in winter and three in summer, so a breakfast departure lands in the Emirates in the early evening.

From the apron to the first dinner
Fujairah International sits only about 2 km south of the town, so the formalities and the drive are short once the wheels are down. Add the private handling and a party can be at a beach resort on the Al Aqah coast in well under an hour, or in the town itself in a few minutes. Dubai is a different proposition: the road across the mountains is about 120 km and takes around an hour and a quarter, which is the price of choosing the Dubai side if the destination is really on the east coast. Westbound the clock works less kindly, because the jet meets the prevailing westerly flow for much of the sector and half an hour on top of the outbound time is common.
Permits and conditions: what we check before every quote
Fujairah has its own civil aviation authority, and flight-planning specialists describe it as working round the clock, weekends and holidays included. The landing permit request normally needs the aircraft's airworthiness certificate, and four working days is the notice usually quoted for private and charter flights, with shorter notice accepted at the authority's discretion. Overflight permits for the countries on the way are a separate document, and so is the permit for any second UAE airport on the same itinerary. Routing between Britain and the Gulf also depends on conditions in the region that can change the preferred corridor, the fuel plan and the insurance terms at short notice. For those reasons we treat a quote as conditional until the operator has confirmed the route, the permits and the arrival arrangements in writing, and we suggest reading the FCDO travel advice for the UAE before you commit.
Which cabin for a seven-hour sector
– Up to eight passengers with ordinary luggage, an Embraer Praetor 600 flies every British field in the table to Fujairah without a stop and is the economical answer. Its range leaves a reserve of fuel, but not an unlimited one: it falls as the cabin fills, and a full cabin with a headwind on the way home can push the return towards a technical stop;
– For more than eight passengers or a heavier load, we move to a Bombardier Challenger 605 or a Dassault Falcon 2000LXS, which carry a comfortable margin. For ten or more, or for a party that wants to sleep and work in the air, a Gulfstream G450 or G550 and the Global 6000 sit above it;
– A midsize or light jet can be made to work only with a fuel stop, which lengthens the day by an hour or more and adds a second set of fees and permits. The saving over a large cabin is smaller than the hourly rates suggest, so we price the stop version next to the nonstop one when budget decides.

Prices for the private jet flights to Fujairah
Typical nonstop trips from Britain, cheapest first, priced into Fujairah International. The winter season on the east coast and the weeks around the big Dubai trade shows sit above these figures, and the calendar block further down explains when.

A larger or faster jet raises the whole list, and a round trip with the aircraft waiting in Fujairah is priced differently from two single legs. We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Private jet flights from Fujairah
Fujairah is a good place to start a regional trip because it is quiet, and the neighbours are close. Ras Al Khaimah is only 38 nautical miles away and Dubai's Al Maktoum airport 67, Muscat is an easy hop across the border, and the long legs to India and back to Europe are priced from the same airport. Short hops: when the road or a helicopter wins
Ras Al Khaimah at 38 nautical miles and Dubai Al Maktoum at 67 are legs that a turboprop covers in the time a car needs to leave the hotel car park, and the bill is mostly the minimum charge for the aircraft and the crew, not the distance. For a single passenger or a pair, a car across the mountains or a helicopter from the resort often fits better than a fixed-wing charter. Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen at 114 nautical miles and Muscat at 146 are the point where a jet starts to make sense, and each needs its own landing permission from the state concerned.
Before you accept an onward quote from the east coast
– Which airport the quote starts from. Fujairah International and the Dubai fields are 120 km or more of mountain road apart, and a driver told only 'Fujairah' will not wait at Al Maktoum. We name the airport and the handler in the offer, never just the emirate;
– Whether the permits are included. A leg into another emirate or into Oman is a separate landing permission, and the operator should confirm it in writing before the price is final, particularly on a day when several states are involved;
– Whether the itinerary is one booking. Fujairah, Muscat and back over a long weekend costs less arranged as a single trip, because the aircraft and crew stay with you and do not reposition to Dubai between each stop.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.

Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Fujairah:
Super-midsize and large cabins, the working choice from Britain
Aircraft with the range for the nonstop run and room for a family or a small team. Range depends on load, and the operator confirms the fuel plan for your passenger count before the offer is final.
Long-range heavies, for beds and big parties
The comfortable answer when ten or more people fly, when the party sleeps on the way home, or when the same aircraft carries on to India or the Indian Ocean.
Light and midsize jets, for the legs from Fujairah
The right aircraft for Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh, where the money should go on the hour and not on range you do not use. From Britain they need a stop.
Turboprops, for the neighbouring emirates
A turboprop suits the short hops to Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai South, with room for luggage, and uses a runway of modest length.
Helicopters
Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch on the coast and over the mountains. Landing sites and permits are agreed in advance, and the machine is chosen once the site is confirmed.

This is a small part of what is available. Because the Gulf has a deep local fleet, a booking outside the busiest weeks sometimes finds an aircraft already in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah, and that is where the better price occasionally comes from. For the flight out from Britain, though, the aircraft usually comes from a European base, and the positioning is part of the quote.

Business aviation airports for Fujairah
One airport is the obvious answer and five more are there for the cases where it is not. It helps to know which is which before a quote arrives with the wrong one in it.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Fujairah International FJR / OMFJ |
The airport for the east coast and the obvious choice for most trips. About 2 km south of Fujairah town, with a runway of about 3,750 m and an instrument approach, listed as open round the clock, tower included, and an airport of entry with customs on the field. Slots are listed as not required, and handling is mandatory. Aurora Aviation, a Swiss company, operates an FBO on the field, and its page lists passenger lounges, meeting rooms and a business centre, a crew rest area and fast-track passport and customs services. It is a joint civil and military field with cargo and flight-training traffic, so the apron is busier with freighters than with jets |
| Dubai Al Maktoum DWC / OMDW |
The Dubai airport for business aviation, about 38 km south-west of the city and a long drive from the east coast. Runway about 4,500 m, open round the clock with customs, with three FBOs: DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, Jetex and ExecuJet. Slot coordination and prior permission are listed, and we confirm both for each flight. It makes sense only if the passengers also have business in Dubai or if a helicopter will complete the trip |
| Dubai International DXB / OMDB |
The big airline airport, 4 km east of central Dubai, open round the clock, with slots and handling both mandatory. Fine for a meeting in the city and a poor fit for a beach trip, because the road to Fujairah is about 120 km and takes roughly an hour and a quarter or more |
| Sharjah International SHJ / OMSJ |
About 13 km from the city of Sharjah, with a runway of about 4,060 m, open round the clock and an airport of entry. Slots are listed as not required, and handling is mandatory. Sharjah lies at the start of the mountain road through Kalba to the east coast, which makes it a sensible alternative when Fujairah cannot take the flight |
| Ras Al Khaimah International RKT / OMRK |
The closest neighbour, about 38 nautical miles from Fujairah and 20 km from the town of Ras Al Khaimah. It has a runway of about 3,760 m, customs, open hours listed as round the clock, and slots are listed as not required. A reasonable second option for a party heading to the northern emirates |
| Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Executive AZI / OMAD |
The capital's business aviation airport, 12 km south-east of Abu Dhabi and about three hours from Fujairah by road, with a runway of about 3,200 m, customs round the clock and Jetex on the field. Slots are listed as not required. It is the right choice for government and bank meetings, and the east coast comes second |
Four points settle most Fujairah arrivals:
Choose the airport and the FBO
For the east coast, Fujairah International is the answer. Tell us whether your car and guests are expecting Fujairah, Al Maktoum or Sharjah, and we put the airport, the handler and the terminal in the offer so a driver does not wait at the wrong field.
Hours, slots and permits
The airport is listed as open round the clock, and slots are listed as not required, which makes a late arrival easier than at Dubai International. Handling is mandatory, and the landing permit comes from Fujairah's civil aviation authority, usually with about four working days of notice.
Border and passport
British passport holders get a visitor visa free on arrival, valid for up to 90 days in any 180. The passport needs at least six months left from the day you arrive. Cash, precious metals and stones above AED 60,000, about £12,000, must be declared, and some prescription medicines need approval in advance.
Car and the road
The town is a few minutes from the apron. Dubai is about 120 km across the mountains, and Abu Dhabi about three hours by car. Give us the name of the resort as well as the airport, and we arrange the car and the driver's details for the terminal door.

Border, passport and the first hour
A British passport holder does not apply for anything in advance: the visitor visa is issued free on arrival and the passport is stamped at the desk, for up to 90 days within any 180. What the officers want to see is a passport with six months left, and for a business traveller meetings rather than paid work on a visit visa, since working without a permit carries fines. Medicines are the item that surprises people. Narcotic, psychotropic and controlled prescriptions need approval from the UAE Ministry of Health beforehand, normally processed within five working days, and a visitor may bring up to three months' supply of ordinary medication. Cash and valuables above AED 60,000 are declared through the Afseh system. The airport is listed as an airport of entry with customs, and the FBO lists fast-track passport control and customs among its services, so the first hour should be quick. On the way home Britain applies its own rule for private flights: the General Aviation Report is filed no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 2 hours before departure, and we file it for you.

From the apron to the Gulf of Oman
Fujairah is the only emirate capital on the east coast, a small port town at the foot of the Hajar mountains with a bunkering harbour, an oil storage zone and a few high-rise offices on its main road. Its airport lies at the southern edge of town, and everything a visitor wants is strung along one coast road running north towards Oman.
a small airfield, about 2 km south of the town, which is why the first hour is shorta few minutes
a restored fort of the sixteenth century on a rocky hill near the old quarter, with the museum and the heritage village close bya short drive
a Sharjah enclave on the coast, with a long crescent beach, an amphitheatre cut into the hillside and the Rafisah dam; about 30 km north of Fujairah townabout 30 minutes
the oldest working mosque in the UAE, about 40 km north of Fujairah town and about 10 km beyond Khor Fakkanabout 40 minutes
about 25 km beyond the mosque, with dhow cruises towards Musandam, the Omani enclave, for which passports go in the bagabout an hour
about 120 km across the Hajar mountains on the Maliha road, E84about 1 h 20 min
a helicopter transfer from the heliport beside the VIP terminal at Al Maktoum, as quoted by the operator40 to 45 minutes
Forts, a mosque and the mountains
The old part of the emirate is small and sits within a few kilometres of the airport. Fujairah Fort dates to about the sixteenth century, lost three towers to British naval fire in the first half of the twentieth century and was restored from its original materials; the museum next to it holds an ostrich egg of about 2,500 BC among its best-known pieces, and the Heritage Village shows how fishing, farming and irrigation worked before oil. North of Khor Fakkan, in the village of Al Bidya, stands a mosque of mud and stone with four domes and room for fewer than a hundred worshippers. Radiocarbon dating puts it in the fifteenth century, and it still holds daily prayers.
The mountains are the other half of the emirate. Wadi Wurayah, the country's first protected mountain wetland, has waterfalls, freshwater pools and Arabian tahr, and guides are recommended. On Friday the market near Masafi sets out pottery, carpets and baskets against the Hajar range, and bargaining is expected. Roads off the main highway need a four-wheel drive, which a driver or a guide arranges with the car at the aircraft.
The beach, the sea and the east-coast resorts
The resorts are why most leisure clients come. The Address Beach Resort sits at Sharm, where the mountains meet Al Aqah beach; the InterContinental Fujairah Resort lies on the same stretch of coast; the Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort is further north, towards Dibba, with a beach club and easy access to dhow cruises; the Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa is the choice at Khor Fakkan; and the Sandy Beach Hotel at Al Aqah is a short step from Snoopy Island, three rocky mounds about a hundred metres off the beach that are easy to swim to or reach by kayak. We book the car, the transfer and, if the party prefers, the dive operator, together with the flight.
Diving is the specialist draw. Most of the UAE's best dive sites lie off Fujairah, and they suit divers of all levels. Snoopy Island and Dibba Rock are the usual first dives, with turtles, rays and reef sharks, and the Inchcape wrecks and the car cemetery offer something to photograph. Average depths are around 18 m, with some sites reaching about 30 m for certified divers. The season runs from about October to May, when the water is about 24 to 28 degrees, and early morning is the calmest time. Water in July and August reaches about 32 to 33 degrees, and visibility can drop slightly in summer when plankton blooms.
Flying to Fujairah with a dog or a cat
The UAE is a strict destination for a pet owner, and the first rule is a practical one: a pet normally arrives as manifest cargo and not in a passenger cabin, so a private flight is not covered by a printed rule that we can point to. We confirm in writing, before the quote is accepted, whether the animal may travel in the cabin, which airport it enters through and who is notified, since airport veterinary officials are asked to be told in advance, especially outside business hours.

What the UAE typically asks for when a dog or cat arrives from Britain:
- An import permit from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, applied for online before travel, with a short validity, so the date is fixed only once the flight is;
- A 15-digit ISO microchip fitted before the rabies vaccination, with the number written on every document, and a rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel;
- An export health certificate signed by an Official Veterinarian close to the date of travel, and a record of treatment against internal and external parasites, typically within the 14 days before the flight;
- No more than two pets per person in a year, with a list of banned breeds that includes Pit Bull-type dogs, the Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, wolf hybrids and, on some lists, the Rottweiler, Doberman and Boxer.
What catches owners out on the Fujairah run
– The order matters. The microchip comes first, then the vaccination, then the waiting period, and the permit and the certificate have to be fresh at the moment of travel. A pet that is outside the window cannot be fitted in the week before departure;
– The way home is a separate task. The UAE is on the list of countries with simplified entry to Britain, so there is no blood test, but a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival, cats do not, and the animal needs the right document from a vet, a declaration and the microchip and rabies record in order. We check the position on GOV.UK for your date;
– On a private flight, which airport an animal may use and whether it may stay in the cabin is not settled by a printed rule. We confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide, and our managers confirm the position in writing for your dates before a booking is taken.
The Fujairah calendar: a winter coast with a hot summer
The east coast has two moods. From about October to April the days are warm, the sea is good for diving and the resorts are full; summer is hot and humid, quiet for leisure and kinder to the budget. The weeks that matter most are those when Dubai fills up and the overflow looks for a beach.
Why Fujairah is easier than Dubai in a busy week
Dubai International is a slot-coordinated airport, and Al Maktoum has its own coordination and prior permission, so a trade-show week leaves little room for a late change. Fujairah is listed as not needing slots, and handlers describe parking as easier and congestion as lower than at either Dubai field. That does not make it cheap, because the landing permit still needs notice and the aircraft still has to come from Europe. What it buys is flexibility on the day and fewer people at the aircraft.
Ways to bring the Fujairah price down
- Move the dates a few days away from National Day and from the Dubai trade-show weeks. The weeks in between are calmer and the permits are quicker to arrange;
- Ask where the aircraft is based. A jet already in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah takes less positioning than one coming out from Britain, and on a sector this long positioning is a large share of the bill;
- Fit the cabin to the party. Eight people and ordinary bags fly in a Praetor 600, while a bigger or faster aircraft raises the figure without making the destination any nearer;
- Book the return at the same time. A round trip with the aircraft waiting in Fujairah is priced differently from two single flights, and the difference is worth asking about.
Types of flights
Fujairah draws a mix that is different from Dubai and from the European destinations we cover. It is a working port as well as a resort coast, and the two kinds of traveller want different things from the airport.
- Shipping and energy travel, built around the bunkering harbour and the oil storage zone, where executives often fly their own aircraft or charter for a day or two of meetings;
- Beach and diving holidays from Britain between October and April, usually with a week on the ground;
- Overflow from Dubai, when guests at a trade show or a wedding there prefer a quieter coast and take the east-coast airport;
- Mountain and outdoor groups bound for the wadis, with a guide and four-wheel-drive cars waiting at the aircraft;
- Onward legs to Muscat, India and the Indian Ocean for clients whose aircraft carries on rather than turning round;
- Technical stops between Europe, Africa and Asia, where an aircraft needs fuel and a quick turn and not a night in town.
A same-day return from London does not make sense on this route. The aircraft and crew would spend most of a day in the air and the working window on the ground would be short. A better plan is to leave in the morning, spend a few nights on the coast and fly back, with the aircraft waiting for you or returning on the agreed date, and we quote that next to two separate one-way flights so the difference is visible.
Empty Legs
An empty leg is a repositioning flight with nobody aboard, offered at a fraction of the usual price. Fujairah is not a hub, so these are rarer than on a European city pair, and it helps to know where they come from.
Where Fujairah empty legs come from
– Dubai weeks. When a party flies into Al Maktoum for a trade show or a wedding, the aircraft often leaves empty a day or two later, and a leg towards Britain can appear in the days that follow;
– Gulf fleet movements. Operators based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah reposition their jets to suit demand, so a jet that has dropped a party at Fujairah may need to return empty, and the short regional hops can be cheap;
– Resort turnarounds. Aircraft that bring a family to the coast for a week sometimes fly back empty and then collect them later, which produces a pair of legs in each direction.
Because the long sector between Britain and the Emirates is flown less often than a European city pair, a client who can name a few days has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Fujairah match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
On the east coast a helicopter is a proper alternative to the road. The mountains between Dubai and the coast turn a drive of over an hour into a flight of 40 to 45 minutes, and the operator that runs the heliport beside the VIP terminal at Al Maktoum quotes that time for Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Dibba. The case is strongest for a party that lands at Dubai South and wants a resort on the east coast without the road.
from the heliport beside the VIP terminal at Al Maktoum, as quoted by the operator; arranged with about two hours of notice as requiredon request
a short flight over Khor Fakkan, Dibba and the wadis, arranged around the daylight and the heaton request
each landing point is agreed with the operator and the authorities before the quoteon request
Before you plan around a helicopter
– A helicopter cannot land wherever it likes. Each pick-up and set-down point needs approval from the operator and the authorities, so the exact sites are agreed before we quote, not after;
– Heat and weather set the schedule. Summer afternoons are the hardest hours on aircraft performance and on passengers, so early morning and evening are the sensible slots, and a mountain crossing depends on the cloud;
– We choose the machine for the party and the task and book it together with the jet, to keep both crews on one timetable.
We do not publish a fixed fleet list for the UAE east coast, because the machines available change with the operator and the task. Tell us the sites and the number of passengers, and we come back with the machine, the price and the permission status in one reply.

Fujairah charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
SHIPPING · TWO DAYS OF MEETINGS
Four executives for the harbour and the storage zone
London Stansted - Fujairah, Praetor 600, about 7 h 15 min · 4 pax
The meetings were fixed by the counterparties, so the dates were not negotiable. The landing permit was requested the same day as the quote, the FBO handled the passports and the car, and the aircraft waited on the apron for the return two days later.
DIVING · THE SEASON OPENS
Six friends and their equipment for ten days
Biggin Hill - Fujairah, Praetor 600, about 7 h 15 min · 6 pax
Tanks were hired locally, but regulators, wetsuits and cameras filled the hold. We booked the car for the coast and an early start for the first boat, and the return went in as part of the same order.
FAMILY · WINTER BREAK ON THE COAST
Two adults, three children and a nanny for a week
London Luton - Fujairah, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 6 pax
School holidays set the dates, and the aircraft stayed with the family for the week. The round trip was priced as one booking and came in under two separate one-way charters.
A DOG ON BOARD · MONTHS OF PREPARATION
Two adults and a spaniel on a long stay
Southampton - Fujairah, Praetor 600, about 7 h 20 min · 2 pax + dog
The paperwork took longer than the flight. The microchip, the vaccination, the health certificate and the import permit were lined up in order, and we confirmed in writing the airport of entry and the cabin arrangement before the offer was accepted.
FROM DUBAI SOUTH · A HELICOPTER FINISH
Six guests at a Dubai event who wanted the beach
Dubai South - Fujairah resort, helicopter, 40 to 45 minutes · 4 pax
The jet landed at Al Maktoum, the helicopter was waiting beside the VIP terminal, and the guests were on the coast before the road traffic would have cleared the city. The landing site at the resort was approved in advance.
EMPTY LEG · A JET ALREADY GOING YOUR WAY
Fujairah back to Britain after a Dubai week
Fujairah - London Luton, Praetor 600 empty leg, about 7 h 50 min · 4 pax
The aircraft had brought a party to the Emirates and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for the long sector.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Fujairah
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Fujairah?
About 7 h 15 min from Stansted and Biggin Hill and 7 h 20 min from Luton and Farnborough in a Praetor 600 (3,109 to 3,141 nautical miles), and a little more from Southampton, the Midlands and the north. From Edinburgh allow 7 h 40 min and from Glasgow 7 h 45 min. The UAE keeps the same time all year, four hours ahead of Britain in winter and three in summer, so a breakfast departure lands in the early evening local time.
2How much does a private jet to Fujairah cost?
From about £49,350 one way in a Praetor 600 out of Stansted. Farnborough comes to £49,850 in the same aircraft, Birmingham to £50,600, Manchester to £51,000 and Glasgow to £52,550. A larger or faster jet costs more, and National Day and the weeks around the big Dubai trade shows price above these figures.
3Which airport should I use for Fujairah?
Fujairah International (FJR / OMFJ), about 2 km south of the town, with a runway of about 3,750 m, listed as open round the clock, with customs on the field and no slots required. Handling is mandatory and an FBO operates on the field. Dubai Al Maktoum, Dubai International and Sharjah are all 100 km or more away by road, and we use them only when the passengers have business on the Gulf side.
4Do I need a visa to fly to the UAE?
British passport holders receive a visitor visa free on arrival, valid for up to 90 days in any 180. The passport needs at least six months of validity from the day you arrive. Cash, precious metals and stones above AED 60,000, about £12,000, must be declared, and narcotic or controlled prescription medicines need approval from the UAE Ministry of Health before travel.
5Can I take my dog to Fujairah on a private jet?
Possibly, but a pet normally arrives in the UAE as manifest cargo, so the cabin question must be settled in writing before the flight. The UAE typically asks for an import permit from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, a 15-digit microchip, a rabies vaccination at least 21 days before travel, an export health certificate signed by an Official Veterinarian and a parasite treatment record. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before landing, and we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
6What should I check about routing and permits before I book?
Ask the operator for its planned route and any technical stop, whether its insurers cover the route, the status of the landing permit, and the cancellation and rerouting terms. Fujairah's authority normally needs about four working days for a private landing permit, and conditions in the region can change the routing, the crews available and the insurance terms at short notice. We treat a quote as conditional until the operator confirms in writing, and we suggest reading the FCDO travel advice for the UAE.
