Private jet charter in Lublin
Leave a London airfield at seven in the morning and you are on the ground at Lublin at about half past ten, Polish time, with the whole of a working day ahead or the first hours of a long weekend among Renaissance houses and Byzantine-style frescoes. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around whichever it is. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Lublin has one airport and it is a good one, with a 2,520 m runway, a Category II instrument approach and no slot requirement on the usual listings, so the real decisions are the size of the cabin, the date, and whether the trip stays in the city or runs on to Kazimierz Dolny and Zamość.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Lublin depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from Biggin Hill, a Cessna Citation CJ3+ and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Lublin?
Plan on two and a half hours from the London fields, and expect to gain an hour on arrival: Poland keeps Central European time, one hour ahead of Britain, and the two countries move their clocks on the same weekends. At 880 to 1,040 nautical miles this is a long sector for a light jet and an easy one for a midsize cabin, which is why a quote for a party of more than four usually starts with the bigger aircraft. The table gives the sector from each British field we use.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall
Wheels up at seven and you touch down at Lublin Airport at about half past ten local time. The terminal sits about 10 km from the centre beside the town of Świdnik, and the railway station is inside the terminal building: the train to Lublin Główny takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Most private clients prefer a car at the aircraft door, which typically needs 20 to 25 minutes to the Old Town outside the rush hour. Add the drive to the British airfield and the short processing at each end and a journey from central London to the Market Square comes to roughly five and a half hours.
Light jet or midsize: how the quote usually settles
– Up to four people with cabin bags, a light jet does the job and the saving is real. The sector is long for a small cabin all the same, and the way home runs west into the prevailing wind, so we price a midsize jet beside it for anyone who wants room to stand and work;
– Past four people, or with a pushchair, golf clubs or a dog, the midsize jet stops being a luxury. A family heading for a weekend in Kazimierz Dolny carries a good deal more than a business team of the same size;
– A large jet earns its place for a delegation travelling as one party, or when Lublin is the first stop of several. The 2,520 m runway at Lublin is long enough for any business jet we place on this route, and the airport lists apron positions for aircraft much larger than that.

Why a turboprop beats the road to Warsaw
Warsaw is 89 nautical miles from Lublin and Krakow 137, yet the road to Warsaw is about 170 km and takes close to two hours, and the train takes about the same. A Pilatus PC-12 does the same trip in about 40 minutes, which turns a morning meeting in the capital and an evening back in Lublin into an ordinary request. Poland, Czechia, Austria, Hungary and Germany are all inside the Schengen area, so there is no passport control on these hops once you have cleared the border on arrival from Britain. A loop through Lublin, Vienna and Budapest on one booking costs noticeably less than three separate charters, because the aircraft and crew stay with you.
Before you accept an onward quote
– Check the airport named at the far end. Warsaw, Berlin and Vienna each have more than one field a jet may use, and a quote that names only the city will be revised once the real airport is chosen;
– Check whether the legs are one booking. Lublin to Krakow and on to Vienna costs less as a single trip than as two charters, because the aircraft stays with you instead of returning to base between stops.
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Lublin:
Light jets, for a short and light party
Two and a half hours is a long sit in a small cabin, so this class suits three or four people with modest luggage. Nothing here lacks the range for Lublin, which means the money goes on the hours and not on capability you will not use.
Midsize, for the team and the family
A delegation with laptops and printed folders, or a family with bags for a week in the Lublin region, is what pushes a booking past the light-jet limit.
Super-midsize and large
For a delegation travelling as one party, for a team that works in the air, and for trips that run on from Lublin to the Gulf or the Alps rather than turning round.
Turboprops
The right aircraft for the hops to Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest and Vienna, where the saving over a jet is large and the extra minutes in the air hardly show.
Helicopters
Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch: the Vistula towns, a manor house with a lawn instead of a runway, or a loop over the Old Town and the castle. Where a helicopter may land is agreed before the quote.

This is a small part of what is available. Warsaw, Krakow and Prague are all within about an hour by turboprop, so outside the busiest festival weeks there is often an aircraft already positioned close to Lublin, and that is frequently where the better price comes from.

Business aviation airports around Lublin
One airport does the work for the city, and it is an easy one to use. The other two names that come up in a Lublin quote are there for specific reasons, and neither is a way of saving money.
| Airport | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Lublin Airport, Świdnik LUZ / EPLB |
The answer for every trip to the city. About 10 km from the centre, with a single asphalt runway, 07/25, of 2,520 by 45 metres, a Category II ILS on runway 25 and a VOR/DME. The apron takes either two code D and three code C aircraft or one code D and five code C, and one of the code D positions doubles as the de-icing plate in winter. Customs and a Border Guard post are listed, with handling compulsory and slots not required. The airport's own ground handling department services commercial, charter and general aviation aircraft, and directories list independent agents beside it: FCG OPS Lublin Handling, LS Airport Services, Excel Handling and Euro Jet. Jet A-1 and AVGAS 100LL are supplied by Air BP |
| Warsaw Chopin WAW / EPWA |
The capital's main airport, about 170 km from Lublin by the S17 expressway, which takes close to two hours. It belongs in a Lublin quote only for a party that wants the largest range of onward connections, or for a trip that starts or ends with business in Warsaw itself. For the city of Lublin it adds nearly four hours of driving to the round trip, and the local airport already does the job |
| Rzeszów Jasionka RZE / EPRZ |
The south-eastern alternative, about 8 km north of Rzeszów, with a 3,200 m runway. Listed as open round the clock, as an airport of entry, with handling compulsory and slots not required. From Lublin it is between 160 and 180 km by road, about two hours or a little more. It makes sense as a diversion on a day when low cloud closes the approach at Lublin, or for a trip that is really to Podkarpacie, and not for a booking to Lublin itself |
| Kazimierz Dolny and Zamość no jet airport |
Neither town is served by an airport that takes jets. The plan is to land at Lublin and drive, about 50 km to Kazimierz Dolny and about 90 km to Zamość, or to fly the last stretch by helicopter to a site agreed in advance |
Four points settle most Lublin arrivals:
Choose the handler
Handling is compulsory, and the airport's own ground handling department offers ramp and cabin services to charter and general aviation aircraft. Independent agents are listed beside it, with different prices for ramp services, catering and cars. We ask the operator which it prefers and confirm the handler in writing before you pay.
Hours, slots and noise
Slots are listed as not required, which keeps the planning simple. Opening hours are less clear: Polish aviation press describes the airport as open round the clock, while the handling directories disagree, one showing 06:00 to 18:00 UTC and another 04:00 to 01:00 UTC, both with other times on request at 48 hours' notice. Refuelling is normally offered from 06:00 to 22:00 local time, and outside those hours only on request at an extra charge. For any late arrival or early departure we get the hours and the fuel confirmed in writing before the quote is final.
Border and passport
Poland is in Schengen and Britain is not, so you pass passport control and customs on arrival; the terminal has separate Schengen and non-Schengen halls, and a permanent Border Guard post works at the airport. British passport holders need no visa for up to 90 days in any 180, with a passport under ten years old and valid three months beyond the day you leave. On a first visit the border registers a photograph and fingerprints, which adds time. A British and Polish dual national must enter and leave on the Polish passport.
Winter and late nights
From November to March Poland sees snow and icing, so we allow time for de-icing on a winter morning and put the late car and crew in the quote from the start. The apron has a single dedicated de-icing position, which is another reason to settle the departure time with the handler a day ahead.

Border, passport and the way home
Because Poland is inside Schengen, the first landing is where the formalities happen, and a hop on to Krakow or Vienna afterwards is free of border control. Operators from outside the EU typically need a permit from the Polish Civil Aviation Authority for a commercial charter, applied for at least three working days before the first flight, and we arrange it together with the operator. The way home runs the other way: Britain treats the aircraft as arriving from abroad, so a General Aviation Report is filed not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and passengers pass the border at the British airfield. Visitors who need no visa for Britain still need an Electronic Travel Authorisation unless they are British or Irish citizens. We file the paperwork; you bring passports that are in date.

From the apron to the Market Square
Lublin is the largest city in the east of Poland, a university town with five public universities, among them the Catholic University and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, and the Old Town lies right beside the castle. Distances to everything else are short, with the exception of the road to Warsaw.

Lublin in a day: the Old Town, the castle and Majdanek
Lublin rewards a plain walking route. The Old Town opens at the Kraków Gate, a fortified town gate that dates back to the 14th century and carries a clock tower and the city's history museum. Inside, the streets lead to the Market Square, where the Crown Tribunal stands in the middle and the Lublin Underground Trail starts, a route of about 280 metres through linked cellars, some from the early 16th century, that is worth booking a week ahead. The Grodzka Gate, once the link between the Christian and the Jewish quarters, closes the other end of the Old Town. From the viewing terrace of the 60 m Trinitarian Tower beside the cathedral the whole of the old centre lies below you, and the Dominican Basilica holds a painting of the 16th-century town at the moment a great fire began.
The castle stands next to the Old Town on its own hill. Its stone keep is the oldest building in Lublin. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity, painted in the early 15th century by a Ruthenian master, carries frescoes that mix Western and Orthodox traditions and are of international importance. It needs a separate ticket or a combined one. The rest of the castle, rebuilt in the early 19th century, is the main site of the National Museum in Lublin. Lublin is also the city of the union between Poland and Lithuania, proclaimed here in the 16th century.
Majdanek is a different kind of visit. The State Museum at Majdanek preserves the site of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, which lies inside the city limits, about 4 km from the centre. The museum's own research puts the number of dead at about 78,000, of whom about 59,000 were Jews. Many travellers add it to a Lublin trip, and some come for it alone. We arrange the car and the timing and leave the pace to you, since people tend to want a quiet hour afterwards and not a booked lunch. The grounds are open throughout the year, with shorter visiting hours in winter, and the museum is closed on Mondays and public holidays, so check its current hours before fixing the day.
Food is part of the visit. The cebularz, a flat wheat bread topped with onion and poppy seed, was first sold by Jewish bakers in the Lublin Old Town and is entered in the European Union's register of protected geographical indications, and most local bakers will sell you one warm.
Kazimierz Dolny, Zamość and Roztocze
Three places turn a Lublin trip into a weekend, and each one is a different kind of day.
a small town on the right bank of the Vistula, about 50 km from Lublin, built around a Renaissance market square with no houses on the north side so that the church and the castle ruins stay in view; granaries from the 16th and 17th centuries, galleries of sculpture, stained glass and folk art, and a Historic Monument statushalf a day
founded in the 16th century by the chancellor Jan Zamoyski on the plan of an ideal city by the Paduan architect Bernardo Morando; a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a Great Market Square of about 100 by 100 m, a town hall whose tower was added in the late 18th century and the old academya full day
forested hills beyond Zamość, with the Roztocze National Park, the town of Zwierzyniec at its edge and the small town of Szczebrzeszyn, for walking and cycling and for a weekend without a programmea weekend base
Kazimierz Dolny and Zamość are best taken on separate days; they lie in opposite directions from Lublin and each deserves unhurried time. A car and driver stay with the party for the whole stay, and for a short visit the helicopter transfer described below can replace the drive to either town.
Flying to Lublin with a dog or a cat
For a pet the paperwork is the part of a Polish trip that needs planning, and the flight is the easy bit: the animal sits beside you in the cabin, never in a hold, and on a sector of two and a half hours most simply sleep. The date on the health certificate is the detail to get right, since it lasts ten days from the day it is issued.

What Poland, as an EU country, asks for:
- An identification chip fitted before or on the same day as the rabies vaccination. A vaccination dated earlier than the chip does not count;
- A rabies vaccination given at 12 weeks of age or older, with 21 days elapsed after the first vaccination before entry, and boosters kept up to date;
- An Animal Health Certificate from an Official Veterinarian, valid for ten days for entry to the EU and for the return to Britain as stated on the certificate. A British pet passport is not accepted for entry to the EU;
- A written declaration from the owner that the journey is not commercial and that the animal travels within five days of the owner, which on a private flight is simply the same flight;
- No more than five animals per traveller, entering through a travellers' point of entry, which we confirm in writing for Lublin before the booking;
- For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival back in Britain, recorded with product, date and time. Cats are exempt.
What catches owners out on the Lublin run
– Poland asks for no tapeworm treatment on the way in, only Britain asks for it on the way home, so it is a vet appointment you book in Lublin towards the end of the stay. Count back from the departure time, because the window is 24 to 120 hours and a Monday-morning flight needs a visit that falls before the weekend closes the clinics;
– The order of the chip and the vaccine matters. An animal that arrives without a valid certificate can be refused entry or sent back at the owner's expense;
– A weekend among the Vistula towns with a dog is an ordinary booking. Settle the hotel and the transfer before the quote, because each one has to accept the animal separately.
Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide. For the flight home, we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
The Lublin calendar: a festival city in summer, a quiet one in winter
Lublin has a long festival season and a short peak. Most of what draws visitors falls between May and September, the Vistula towns follow the same rhythm, and the winter months belong to business trips and family visits. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.
Why a festival week costs more
The aircraft are not the scarce item. Lublin has a single runway, a modest apron and a short list of good rooms and cars, and in the last week of July or the last week of August all of them are wanted together. Ask for a jet a fortnight before and you will probably get one, flown over from Warsaw, Krakow or Prague and priced to match; ask five or six weeks ahead and the same trip is simpler and cheaper. Away from those dates Lublin is an easy city to charter into, often in a day or two, though a winter morning means allowing time for de-icing.
Ways to bring the Lublin price down
- Shift the dates by a few days if the diary allows. A Tuesday in the middle of June costs less than the carnival weekend in July, and an October week less than the last week of August;
- Ask where the aircraft is based. An aircraft that already sits in Warsaw, Krakow or Prague costs less to bring over than one flown out from Britain, and on a sector this long the positioning is a visible slice of the invoice;
- Take the light jet only when the party and the bags are small. Three people with cabin bags save real money in a CJ3+; six people with luggage for a week do not, and the quote that looks cheap on paper is often the one that changes.
Types of flights
Lublin produces a mix unlike the Alpine or the Mediterranean destinations we cover, because it is at once a business and university city, a heritage destination and the base for the Vistula and Roztocze trips.
- Business travel to Lublin and Świdnik, home to a helicopter factory owned by Leonardo and to regional companies: fixed meeting dates, a small team and a wish to be home the same evening;
- University and conference visits, with a delegation travelling as one party to a date set by the programme;
- Heritage and memorial visits, combining the Old Town, the castle chapel and Majdanek over one or two days;
- Cultural weekends in Kazimierz Dolny and Zamość, mostly couples and groups of friends, with the jet landing at Lublin and a car or helicopter doing the rest;
- Festival weeks, from the Night of Culture in June to the Jagiellonian Fair at the end of August, when rooms and cars decide the dates;
- Day trips from London, which at two and a half hours each way are a long day but a workable one.
Lublin stretches the day trip. Wheels up at seven, on the ground at about half past ten local time, and off again at six in the evening gives you seven and a half hours in the city and puts you back in Britain around half past seven. The crew sits out the meetings at the airport and that waiting time is charged, yet the total is usually below two one-way charters, and we price the route both ways so you can compare.
Empty Legs
Some jets cross Europe with nobody aboard, moving to their next job, and the operator will sell that seat-free leg cheaply rather than fly it for nothing. That is an empty leg. Lublin is a smaller market than Warsaw or Krakow, so supply is thinner and depends on the calendar.
Where Lublin empty legs come from
– Festival weekends. Aircraft bring parties to Lublin on a Friday and leave empty on the Sunday, and that Sunday leg back towards London, Warsaw or Prague is the one most often offered;
– Regional rotation. Operators positioning between Warsaw, Krakow, Prague and Vienna put short regional legs on the market, and those short hops can be cheap;
– Business trips with a flexible return. A team that stays an extra day leaves its aircraft empty on the first one, and the repositioning flight is sold.
Because the Polish corridor is thinner than the busiest London routes, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Lublin match the day an operator releases it.

Helicopter charter
Lublin is a helicopter town in a literal sense: the factory beside the airport at Świdnik, owned by Leonardo, has built helicopters for many decades and still does. For a visitor the machines matter for another reason, the last stretch. The Old Town is small enough to cross on foot, and the place where rotary flight changes the journey is the road to the Vistula and to Zamość.
a transfer to a hotel or a manor with an agreed landing site, against about an hour by roadtypically 20 to 25 minutes
a transfer to a site near the old town, against more than an hour on the roadtypically 35 to 40 minutes
the Old Town, the castle on its hill and the valley of the Bystrzyca, from the airtypically 20 to 30 minutes
Before you plan around a helicopter
– Rotary flight is limited by where it may set down. A landing away from an aerodrome needs an agreed site and the landowner's consent, so we check the status of a hotel lawn or a manor meadow before the quote is written;
– The Old Town, the castle and the memorial sites are sensitive ground. Low sightseeing flights over them are planned on an agreed route and height, and some will be declined; we say so before you plan around them;
– Winter weather sets the schedule. Snow, low cloud and fog can stop a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without trouble, so a transfer needs a road alternative planned into the same day.
The machines used on this ground are the Airbus H125 for short transfers, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and the Leonardo AW109 for a party of up to seven. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Lublin charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.
DAY TRIP · OUT AND BACK
A working day in Lublin and home for the evening
Biggin Hill - Lublin and return, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h 30 min each way · 4 pax
Four people left a London airfield at seven, landed at about half past ten local time and went straight to a supplier at Świdnik for the morning and a lunch meeting in the Old Town. The aircraft stayed on the ground with its crew, and that wait was a line in the quote, but the total was still lower than two one-way charters. Home by half past seven. A long day that does the job.
CULTURE WEEKEND · THE VISTULA
Six friends and a manor house near Kazimierz Dolny
Farnborough - Lublin, Phenom 300E, about 2 h 25 min · 6 pax
They picked the last weekend of August without knowing it was the week of the Jagiellonian Fair. The transfer was the saving grace: the car was waiting at the aircraft door and the driver took the party straight out of the city before the Friday evening traffic. A booking made earlier would have cost less, and we said so.
CONFERENCE WEEK · FIXED DATES
A university delegation for three days of meetings
London Luton - Lublin, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 25 min · 8 pax
The dates were set by the programme and not by the client. Eight people, laptops, printed folders and a request for a car at the aircraft door. The booking went in six weeks ahead, the handler pre-arranged the passport check at the terminal, and the aircraft left Luton on time with nothing to explain.
HERITAGE TRIP · TWO DAYS
A family visit built around Majdanek and the Old Town
London City - Lublin and return, Citation XLS+ · 5 pax
The family wanted unhurried time at the memorial and no schedule around it. One aircraft, one driver on call for the two days, and a flight home set for the afternoon of the second day so that nobody had to rush the last visit. Booked as a single trip, it cost less than two separate one-way charters.
ZAMOŚĆ WEEKEND · A DOG ON BOARD
Four adults and a spaniel for a September weekend
Southampton - Lublin, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 30 min · 4 pax + dog
The Animal Health Certificate had to be dated inside ten days of arrival, and the vet appointment in Lublin for the tapeworm treatment had to fall between 24 and 120 hours before the flight home. We booked both with the aircraft, the hotel in Zamość took the dog, and the whole thing was settled in a single exchange of messages rather than three.
EMPTY LEG · SUNDAY EVENING WEST
A jet already going your way
Lublin - London Luton, Phenom 300E empty leg, about 2 h 20 min · 3 pax
The aircraft had brought a party in for the weekend and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for a Sunday evening departure to the London fields.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Lublin
1How long is a private jet flight from London to Lublin?
About 2 hours 30 minutes from London City or Biggin Hill in a light jet, and around 2 hours 20 minutes to 2 hours 25 minutes from Luton or Farnborough in a Phenom, covering roughly 880 to 914 nautical miles. From Birmingham or Manchester allow about 2 hours 30 to 35 minutes in a midsize cabin, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow around 2 hours 35 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes. Lublin is one hour ahead of Britain, so a seven o'clock departure lands at about half past ten local time.
2How much does a private jet to Lublin cost?
From about £12,000 one way on a light jet out of London City or Biggin Hill. A Phenom from Luton or Farnborough runs £12,150 to £12,400, a midsize cabin costs £15,750 from Birmingham and £16,400 from Bristol, and from Scotland allow £20,650 to £21,300. The carnival in July, the end of August and the days around Christmas price above these figures.
3Which airport should a private jet use for Lublin?
Lublin Airport at Świdnik (LUZ / EPLB) for every trip to the city. It is about 10 km from the centre and has a single 2,520 m runway, a Category II instrument approach on runway 25, customs on site and fuel from Air BP. Slots are listed as not required and handling as compulsory, with the airport's own handling department and independent agents such as FCG OPS Lublin Handling and Excel Handling. Warsaw Chopin is about 170 km away and Rzeszów (RZE / EPRZ) between 160 and 180 km, and both make sense only as a diversion or when the trip is really to Warsaw or south-eastern Poland.
4When should I book a private jet to Lublin?
Outside the peaks a day or two is usually enough. For the carnival in July, the Jagiellonian Fair at the end of August, the weekends of the Night of Culture in June and the Christmas period, allow four to six weeks. Rooms, cars and aircraft positioned from Warsaw or Krakow all get tight in the same days, and a late booking tends to pay more for an aircraft flown over from another city.
5Can I fly on from Lublin to Kazimierz Dolny, Zamość or Warsaw?
Neither Kazimierz Dolny nor Zamość has an airport that takes jets, so the plan is to land at Lublin and drive, about 50 km to the first and about 90 km to the second, or to take a helicopter to an agreed site. Warsaw is 89 nautical miles from Lublin and Krakow 137, so a Pilatus PC-12 does either in well under an hour, with no passport control on arrival since Poland is inside Schengen. Vienna is 316 nautical miles away and about 1 h 30 min in a turboprop.
6Can I take my dog to Lublin on a private jet?
Yes. The dog travels in the cabin with you, and Poland, as an EU country, asks for a chip fitted before or on the day of the rabies vaccination, a vaccination at least 21 days old and an Animal Health Certificate valid for ten days for entry, with the owner's declaration that the journey is not commercial. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival. Cats are exempt from the treatment.
