Private jet charter in Cambodia
A charter to Cambodia is decided by the fuel stop and the landing permit well before anyone looks at a cabin layout, because the Mekong plain lies more than 5,400 nautical miles from London and most business jets cannot cover that distance in a single hop. Private Jets UK plans the sector, files the permit and matches the airport to the part of the country you are heading for. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. For Cambodia that means a landing permit from the civil aviation secretariat, a slot at an airport that is slot-restricted, and a choice between three international fields that serve very different journeys: the capital, the temples of Angkor and the southern coast.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter to Cambodia depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London Biggin Hill, an Embraer Praetor 600 to Phnom Penh with one technical stop in Dubai and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to Cambodia?
Cambodia keeps Indochina Time, seven hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and six hours ahead of British Summer Time, and the clocks do not change. A morning departure from London arrives in the small hours of the next day. The sectors below start at London Biggin Hill, use the lowest-priced aircraft that can fly them and count about an hour on the ground for the technical stop:
6,111 nautical miles planned, the capital's international airport, south of the city, and the field that most business arrivals useabout 14 h 55 min
6,023 nautical miles planned, the airport for the temples of Angkor, built about 50 km east of the townabout 14 h 45 min
6,059 nautical miles planned, the coastal gateway for the beaches and the islands of the Gulf of Thailandabout 14 h 50 min
Why the planned distance is longer than the map
Drawn straight, Phnom Penh is about 5,400 nautical miles from London. We never quote that figure. A business jet follows a track that stays clear of the airspace insurers and regulators advise against, which for South-East Asia means a long arc to the south through south-eastern Europe, Turkey and the Gulf. Flown that way, the same sector measures 6,111 nautical miles, and that is the distance every price on this page is built on.
Gulf airspace can change at short notice, so the flight plan names a second stop beside the first, normally Doha or Muscat, and nothing is promised until the corridor is agreed.
Range decides where the aircraft lands. An Embraer Praetor 600 is rated at 4,018 nautical miles and we plan each leg at about 85 percent of a published range, which puts Dubai, 3,067 nautical miles from Biggin Hill, within reach and leaves 3,044 for the second leg. A Gulfstream G650ER or a Global 7500 can fly the whole 6,111 nautical miles without landing, in about 12 h 35 min in the G650ER, though a full cabin or a headwind can still bring a stop into the plan on the day.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Prices for the private jet flights to Cambodia
Typical one-way prices from Britain, cheapest first. The Embraer Praetor 600 leads because it reaches Cambodia with a single stop in Dubai at a lower hourly rate than the other aircraft that can do so, and the larger cabins below it are chosen for size or for a flight without a stop. Every figure includes the stop shown in its row:

What sits outside the figures
– The choice of Cambodian airport moves the price by only a few thousand pounds. From London Biggin Hill the Praetor 600 reaches Phnom Penh for about £94,700, Sihanoukville for about £93,950 and Siem Reap for about £93,400, slightly cheaper because it lies closer to Dubai. This page is anchored to Phnom Penh because the capital is where most business aircraft land;
– Handling at the technical stop, the Cambodian permit and the handler's fee for filing it, and the airport charges are quoted on top. The prices are one-way, and on a sector of this length that includes the empty positioning flight home.
Private jet flights within Cambodia and to its neighbours
Cambodia is compact. Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is 133 nautical miles, Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville only 92, and Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh City lie about an hour beyond the border. The figures show scale rather than a firm quote, because a foreign aircraft needs a permit for each landing:

Before you plan a loop of the country
– Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is under an hour in a light jet and a long day on the road. Whether the aircraft that brought you may fly it is a question we put to the civil aviation secretariat in writing, and the answer decides whether the jet waits or goes home and returns;
– Crossing into Thailand, Vietnam or Laos adds a second authority with its own permit, so a multi-country itinerary is drawn up in full at the start.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

The cost per hour indicated in the table is preliminary and does not constitute an offer or a commercial offer. Exact prices are available from the managers of the company.
Online Calculator
If you want to make an urgent calculation of the cost of a private plane flight, use our online calculator. Just fill in all the fields of the form with a note that you are interested in a specific model of the aircraft and get the final price. NB! - the figures are sent to you by email or messenger, please carefully fill in the contact details to get the calculation.
All our calculations are as transparent as possible for you. After receiving the request, we will prepare a beautiful offer - where the costs and the final price will be clearly described. The exact price is agreed in advance and is written in the contract, so you can be sure of the final cost.
Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Cambodia:
Long range and ultra-long range
The cabins that reach Phnom Penh from Britain without landing, where a flat bed is the reason to pay for them.
Large cabins
The right size for a party of up to a dozen with luggage, planned with a stop in the Gulf. The Praetor 600 is the lowest-priced aircraft we plan to Cambodia.
Super-midsize
Not for the journey from Britain, but right for hops from Cambodia to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City or Singapore.
Light jets
The aircraft for the shortest hops between Cambodian airports or across the border.
Turboprops
Not for the long sector, but suited to short regional hops.

For a sector this long we look for an aircraft positioned in the Gulf or in South-East Asia as well as in Britain, so the dates should reach us while they can still move.

Business aviation airports in Cambodia
A foreign aircraft lands only where its permit says it may, so the airport is chosen together with the permit:
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Phnom Penh Techo International KTI / VDTI |
south of the capital, about an hour from the centre by road | The airport that replaced the old city field for airline traffic. A single runway, 05/23, 4,000 metres long, so any business jet can use it. The listed hours are 06:00 to 03:00 local time, which is 23:00 to 20:00 UTC. A dedicated VIP terminal serves business and general aviation, with customs, immigration and quarantine staff on site. Jet A fuel is available and is paid for in advance. Operators are asked to coordinate two days ahead. One handling provider notes that the field has no immediate alternative, so a diversion plan is built into every movement |
| Siem Reap Angkor International SAI / VDSA |
about 50 km east of Siem Reap, an hour or more by road to the town and the temples | The airport built to replace the old field in the town, which has closed. One runway, 05/23, of about 3,600 metres, with the same listed hours as Techo, 06:00 to 03:00 local time. The VIP and general aviation terminal is attached to the main terminal and works like an FBO, with customs, immigration and quarantine on site. It is billed through the handling invoice per passenger and per direction, with a minimum number of passengers, so it is optional: a business flight may use the main terminal and arrange a lounge instead. Jet A is available and AVGAS is not, and overnight parking is usually available |
| Sihanoukville International KOS / VDSV |
about 20 km east of the coastal town | The airport of the southern coast, with a runway of 3,300 metres, 03/21, fire cover rated at ICAO category 5, and an operator that is part of the Vinci Airports network. The UK government lists it among the airports where the electronic arrival card is required. We have not found published data on its hours, its business aviation handling or its customs arrangements for private aircraft, so we confirm each in writing before an arrival is planned |
| Other Cambodian airfields - |
regional towns and the interior | Cambodia has other airfields, but we have not found published information showing that any of them is open to foreign business jets. We do not plan a foreign aircraft to any airfield outside the three above without the written approval of the civil aviation authority |
Five rules shape every arrival:
The permit comes from the civil aviation secretariat
Landing permits are issued by the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation and, apart from medical evacuations, approved at ministerial level. Handling companies quote three to five working days, and we file at least five ahead.
The slot comes first
The three international airports are slot-restricted, and slot approval is needed to obtain the permit. Once the permit exists, a change of schedule usually needs only a slot update, after which the secretariat amends the original permit number.
Weekdays only
The office is closed at weekends and permits are unlikely to be processed then, so a Friday afternoon request is in practice a Monday one.
A tow bar on board
Business jets are expected to carry their own tow bar, which is used when the aircraft must be pushed back, and all parking is nose-in.
Pay for the fuel before you arrive
The fuel supplier does not take payment at the aircraft, so the uplift is paid for in advance through the handler.
The old airports
Phnom Penh and Siem Reap each had an older airfield that closed to airline traffic when the new one opened. Older business aviation guides still use the old codes, VDPP and VDSR. We plan to the new airports and ask the handler to confirm the airport name and code in the permit, because a permit that names the wrong field is not valid for the landing.
Arriving from Britain: visa, arrival card and the general declaration
Three things are checked on the way in: the traveller, the aircraft and the papers that tie them together.
British citizens need a visa for tourism. An e-visa can be applied for online at least four days before the flight, and without one a visa on arrival can be issued at the airport, with a photograph and payment in US dollars. A tourist visa is valid for 30 days from entry and can be extended in the countrybefore departure
Valid for at least six months after the day of arrival, complete and undamagedevery passenger
An electronic arrival card is required for air arrivals at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, submitted within seven days before arrival and free of chargewithin 7 days
A yellow fever certificate is needed if you arrive from a country with a risk of transmission, so the handler checks the stopif asked
What stands behind the permit
The application. It normally names the operator and the aircraft, the schedule and the airports, the purpose of the flight, and the crew and passengers, and the handler sends the general declaration, the crew list and the passenger manifest to the airport team before arrival.
The details must match. A change of date, routing, aircraft or registration can mean an amendment.
The crew. Flight crew clear on the general declaration, and the handler agrees the visa position of each crew member with the airport before the flight.
Coming home is a flight into Britain: a General Aviation Report goes to the border authorities not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and British and Irish citizens need no electronic travel authorisation for Britain. The first landing must be at an aerodrome that is regulated for customs, since a landing at an unregulated one carries a fine of £2,500.

Which airport for which part of Cambodia
Start from the bed and work back to the runway:
Techo is the capital's airport for both airline and business traffic, and the drive into the city takes about an hourPhnom Penh Techo
Siem Reap Angkor lies east of the town, and the road to the hotels takes an hour or more, so the VIP terminal and a waiting car matterSiem Reap Angkor
Sihanoukville is the gateway to the beaches and the offshore islands, which are reached by boat or on request by helicopterSihanoukville
The pepper town and the crab-market resort have no airport we plan jets to, so the party lands at Sihanoukville or Phnom Penh and drivesSihanoukville or Phnom Penh, then road
The nearest neighbours lie 100 to 310 nautical miles from the capital, a short hop for a super-midsize jetPhnom Penh to the neighbour
Phnom Penh, Angkor and the coast: what our clients go for
Phnom Penh is where the business happens. The city sits at the meeting of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers, with the Royal Palace on the riverfront, and government, banking and property are all there. US dollars are widely used in the shops and hotels alongside the riel.
Angkor draws the other half of our traffic. The Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, spreads north of Siem Reap, and a private party with a guide sees the main temples in a day or two. Sunrise at Angkor Wat is the classic hour, and it means a very early start.
The coast is a different kind of trip. From Sihanoukville the boats leave for the islands, and Kampot and Kep, with their pepper farms and seafood, attract a quieter crowd than the main resort.
Cambodian seasons: dry, hot and wet
The year divides into three seasons, and the time of year affects the roads and the temples more than the flight itself:
The cool, dry season, with clear skies and the lowest humidity. It is the busiest time at Angkor, and hotels in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh are fullestbest weather
The hot season. Temperatures climb steadily, April is typically the hottest month, and temple visits are best done at dawn or late in the afternoonhot and dry
The wet season, brought by the south-west monsoon, with heavy afternoon showers and the smallest crowds. September and October are typically the wettest weeks, when roads outside the cities can floodwarm and wet
Weather and the schedule
Thunderstorms build in the afternoons of the wet season, so we prefer morning arrivals and departures where the permit allows, and road transfers get a margin of time in September and October.
The Cambodian calendar: new year, ploughing and the water festival
The dates below follow the lunar calendar and move from one year to the next:
Holiday weeks and the schedule
Around the new year and the Water Festival the capital's hotels, roads and airport are crowded, and a party that must be there arrives a day early.

Flying to Cambodia with a dog or a cat
A dog or cat can fly to Cambodia in the cabin of a private jet, but the paperwork starts weeks ahead, and the way home is the harder half.
What Cambodia asks for on the way in
Cambodia's animal health authorities set the import conditions. Guides for pet owners list an ISO microchip, a rabies vaccination given between 30 days and 12 months before entry (a multi-year vaccine is not accepted) and a veterinary health certificate issued shortly before travel and endorsed by the government veterinary service of the country of departure, with the animal inspected on arrival. An import permit is listed for animals that fly unaccompanied or as cargo, and not for a pet that travels with its owner. The listed entry airports are Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Because these are secondary sources, we do not print a checklist and we confirm every item with the Cambodian authority.
For a private flight we ask the authority and the handler which airport takes the animal and whether any quarantine applies, and confirm the answers in writing before the animal is booked.
Britain's rules for the return are stricter. Cambodia is not among the countries from which Britain accepts a pet on simpler terms. For a dog or a cat coming from an unlisted country Britain requires a Great Britain pet health certificate issued in the last ten days and a rabies blood test:
- A rabies vaccination first, then a blood sample taken at least 30 days after it, sent by the vet to an approved laboratory, with a result of 0.5 IU/ml or higher;
- A wait of three months from the date of the sample before the animal may travel to Britain, and the sample stays valid for as long as the rabies vaccinations are kept up to date;
- A Great Britain pet health certificate for the journey;
- For a dog, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival in Britain;
- Quarantine for up to four months if the rules are not met.
The sensible plan is to have the sample taken at home in Britain, months before departure, so that the three months have run out before the flight back. A sample taken in Phnom Penh means waiting out the three months there. For a private flight we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.
Other destinations, and the general rules for travelling with an animal on a private jet, are set out on our flying with pets guide.

Empty Legs
An empty leg is a flight the operator has to make anyway, with the cabin vacant, and so it is priced low rather than flown for nothing.
Why empty legs to Cambodia are scarce
– An aircraft that delivers a party to Phnom Penh has to leave again, and a long stay on the apron needs a slot and costs money, so operators usually fly it away. The legs worth looking for run from Cambodia towards Britain;
– The aircraft is seldom in the right place: a leg from Phnom Penh suits a client in the capital and not one at Angkor;
– A permit and a slot go with a date, and a leg that moves by a few days can mean a fresh application.
A client who can move by a week or two has the best chance. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page. A selection of Cambodian empty legs follows, at roughly 40 percent of a fresh charter:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK (London Biggin Hill) - Cambodia (Phnom Penh) | Praetor 600 | 9 seats | £39,750 |
| Cambodia (Phnom Penh) - UK (London Luton) | Falcon 900LX | 12 seats | £63,400 |
| UK (Birmingham) - Cambodia (Phnom Penh) | Global 6000 | 13 seats | £69,800 |
| Cambodia (Phnom Penh) - UK (Manchester) | Gulfstream G550 | 16 seats | £73,400 |
| UK (Edinburgh) - Cambodia (Phnom Penh) | Gulfstream G650ER | 14 seats | £83,600 |
| Cambodia (Phnom Penh) - UK (London Stansted) | Global 7500 | 14 seats | £87,650 |
Reading the empty-leg prices
– The price covers the whole aircraft, not a seat. A Gulfstream G550 from Phnom Penh to Manchester with eight aboard comes to about £9,200 a head;
– The cost to you is flexibility: the date, often the hour, sometimes the airport. The saving looks large only because the fresh charter it is measured against is large.

Helicopter charter
In Cambodia the helicopter is a tool for the last stretch and for the view. The operators we can name are few:
a helicopter company that lists sightseeing flights over Angkor and other charters, with a sales office in Siem Reapsightseeing and charter
a transfer from Sihanoukville to a hotel or island saves a boat ride; the landing site is agreed in advanceon request
A helicopter suits the first stretch out of an airport or an hour over the temples, not a long hop between cities. In the wet season, from late May to October, flying is planned around the afternoon storms.

Cambodian charters from the booking notes: six typical trips
The six trips below are typical jobs assembled from booking notes with the details changed, so none of them is one named client or one date.
PHNOM PENH · THE LOWEST-PRICED WAY IN
Two directors with a week of meetings
London Biggin Hill - Phnom Penh, Praetor 600 via Dubai, about 14 h 55 min · 4 pax
The brief had assumed an ultra-long-range jet. A Praetor 600 with one stop in Dubai did the job for far less, and the permit was filed a full week ahead.
ANGKOR · TEMPLES AND A VILLA
A family on a ten-day trip
London Biggin Hill - Siem Reap, Global 6000 via Dubai, about 13 h 40 min · 6 pax
A car was waiting at the VIP terminal. Sunrise at the temples came on the second morning, after a night's sleep, and a helicopter hour over the complex was booked for the afternoon.
PHNOM PENH AND THE COAST · TWO BASES
A party of eight with a business week and a beach week
Manchester - Phnom Penh, Gulfstream G550 via Dubai, about 14 h 05 min · 8 pax
Eight days in the capital were followed by a drive to the coast, and the aircraft went home and came back for the return.
SIHANOUKVILLE · THE ISLANDS
A group bound for the Gulf of Thailand
London Biggin Hill - Sihanoukville, Falcon 900LX via Dubai, about 14 h 50 min · 7 pax
The handler confirmed the hours and the customs arrangement in writing first, since neither is published, and the boat transfers were fixed afterwards.
PETS · TWO DOGS TO PHNOM PENH
A relocation with two dogs
London Farnborough - Phnom Penh, Gulfstream G450 via Dubai, about 14 h 40 min · 2 pax and two dogs
The entry paperwork was confirmed weeks ahead, and the rabies blood samples for the way home were taken in Surrey months earlier.
EMPTY LEG · HOMEWARD FROM PHNOM PENH
A flexible return after a long stay
Phnom Penh - London Luton, Falcon 900LX empty leg via Dubai, about 15 h · 5 pax
The client gave a window of several days and flew when the aircraft was ready. The fare was about £63,400, roughly 40 percent of a fresh one-way charter on the same sector.
Frequently asked questions about flying to Cambodia
1Can a private jet fly from London to Phnom Penh nonstop?
Yes, in an ultra-long-range cabin. A Gulfstream G650ER or a Bombardier Global 7500 can fly the planned 6,111 nautical miles without landing, and most other aircraft land once, usually in Dubai. A full cabin or a headwind can still put a stop into the plan on the day.
2How long does a private jet take from the UK to Cambodia?
About 12 hours 35 minutes to Phnom Penh nonstop in a G650ER, and about 14 hours 55 minutes in a Praetor 600 with a stop in Dubai, including the stop. Cambodia is seven hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, so a morning departure lands in the small hours.
3How much does a private jet to Cambodia cost?
From about £94,700 one way from London Biggin Hill to Phnom Penh on a Praetor 600 with a stop in Dubai. Aircraft that fly nonstop cost more, from about £208,700 in a Global 7500. Handling, permit fees and airport charges are quoted on top, and an empty leg in the right direction costs roughly 40 percent of a fresh charter.
4Which airport should a private jet use in Cambodia?
Phnom Penh Techo is the main choice for the capital: a runway of 4,000 metres, a VIP terminal with customs and immigration on site, and listed hours of 06:00 to 03:00 local time. Siem Reap Angkor is the airport for the temples. Sihanoukville serves the southern coast, and we confirm its handling in writing first.
5What permits and visas does a private flight to Cambodia need?
The aircraft needs a landing permit from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, which handlers quote at three to five working days, plus a slot at the airport. British passport holders need a visa (an e-visa applied for at least four days ahead, or a visa on arrival), a passport valid for six months after arrival and an electronic arrival card submitted within seven days before the flight.
6Can my dog or cat travel with me to Cambodia on a private jet?
Yes, with planning. Cambodia sets its own import conditions, which are listed as a microchip, a rabies vaccination given 30 days to 12 months before entry and an endorsed veterinary certificate, with Phnom Penh and Siem Reap as the entry airports, and we confirm the exact papers and the entry airport in writing for your dates. Coming home, Britain treats Cambodia as an unlisted country, which means a rabies blood test, a three-month wait from the sample date and a Great Britain pet health certificate.
