Three airports matter to a charter from Britain: Libreville, Port-Gentil and Franceville. A fourth, Makokou, is a small field without customs:

 

None of the three has a business aviation terminal that we can name and describe. Lope, in the centre, covers about 4,900 square kilometres, is a UNESCO mixed natural and cultural site, and holds one of the largest concentrations of primates in the world.

Flying to Gabon with a dog or a cat

A pet can travel in the cabin, but the papers take weeks.

Coming home, a pet from a country outside the simple British scheme, as we understand Gabon to be, needs a microchip fitted before the rabies vaccination, a rabies blood test and a wait before it can travel, unless these were done before it left. A dog must also be treated against tapeworm by a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 120 hours before landing in Britain. An animal that arrives without the right paperwork can be held in quarantine for up to four months.
