Private jet charter in Krakow

A jet that leaves a London airfield at seven in the morning touches down in Krakow a little after ten local time, an hour ahead of British clocks, and what happens next depends on the trip: an afternoon of meetings, a long weekend among the Old Town churches, or a drive south to the Tatra ski slopes. Private Jets UK arranges the charter around whichever of those it is. Our customers have access to 6,500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. We have established partnerships with the world's largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you favourable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. Krakow has one airport that does the work, John Paul II at Balice, with a 2,550 m runway, a VIP terminal run by the airport itself and several handling agents, so the real choices are the date, the size of the cabin and whether the trip ends in the city or goes on into the mountains.

private jet charter

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in Krakow depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.

You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:

  • using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
  • via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
  • by landline or cell phone;
  • via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).

Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated on this basis: a departure from London City, a Cessna Citation CJ3+ and two passengers aboard. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.

How long does it take to fly to Krakow?

Allow a little over two hours from the London fields, and expect to gain an hour on arrival: Poland keeps Central European time, one hour ahead of Britain, and the two countries change their clocks on the same weekends. At 781 to 974 nautical miles this is a long sector for a light jet and a comfortable one for a midsize cabin, which is why the quote for a party of more than four usually starts with the bigger aircraft. The table gives the sector from each British field we use.

Door to door, and the clock on the wall

Leave a London airfield at seven and you are on the ground at Balice a little after ten in the morning, Polish time. The airport is about 11 km west of the centre, and the suburban train from the terminal reaches Kraków Główny station in about 17 minutes, though most private clients take a car from the apron, which typically needs 25 to 30 minutes outside the rush hour. Add the drive to the British airfield and the short processing at both ends and a journey from central London to the Main Square comes to roughly five hours.

Light jet or midsize: how the quote usually settles

– Up to four people with cabin bags, a light jet does the job and the saving is real. But the sector is long for a small cabin, and the way home is westbound, usually into a headwind, so we price a midsize jet beside it for anyone who wants room to stand and work;

– Past four people, or with ski bags, golf clubs, a pushchair or a dog, the midsize jet is no longer a luxury. A family heading for the Tatras carries a good deal more than a business team of the same size;

– A heavy jet earns its place for a delegation travelling as one party, or for a trip where Krakow is only the first stop of several. The runway at Balice is 2,550 m long, and large aircraft such as the Falcon 6X and the Global 5000 are among the types logged there.

Central Europe from the air: when a turboprop beats the motorway

Warsaw is 138 nautical miles from Krakow, Budapest 167, Vienna 180 and Prague 221, so a Pilatus PC-12 covers any of them in roughly an hour. Poland, Czechia, Austria, Hungary and Germany are all inside the Schengen area, which means no passport control on these hops once you have cleared the border at Krakow. The point of flying is the day it saves: Krakow and Warsaw are close enough on the map and far enough on the road to make a morning meeting in the capital and an evening back in Krakow a normal request. A loop that visits Krakow, Vienna and Prague on one booking costs noticeably less than three separate charters, because the aircraft and crew stay with you.

Before you accept an onward quote

– Check the airport named at the far end. Warsaw has more than one field a jet may use, and a quote that names only the city will be revised once the real airport is chosen;

– Check whether the legs are one booking. Two days across Krakow, Prague and Vienna cost less as a single trip, because the aircraft stays with you instead of returning to base between stops.

Prices depending on the type of business jet

We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:

Private jets are ready to take off

Our database contains over 6,500 business jets (about 3,500 in Europe and 3,000 in the rest of the world) of different configurations and production years. The list of models is constantly updated. Unfortunately, we can't post a full list of available jets on our website due to confidentiality issues. Please contact the managers of the company for more accurate information. We will help you choose a suitable model taking into account your wishes. These are the typical choices for Krakow:

Light jets, for a short and light party

Over two hours is a long sit in a small cabin, so this class suits three or four people with modest luggage. Nothing here lacks the range for Krakow, so the money goes on the hour and not on capability you will not use.

HondaJet Elite · 5 seatsfrom £1,900/h
Cessna Citation CJ3+ · 7 seatsfrom £2,400/h
Embraer Phenom 300E · 8 seatsfrom £2,600/h
Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 · 8 seatsfrom £2,700/h

Midsize, for the ski party and the business team

A family with skis and boots for a week in the Tatras, or a team carrying laptops and printed folders for a day of meetings, is what pushes a booking past the light-jet limit.

Learjet 75 Liberty · 8 seatsfrom £3,000/h
Cessna Citation XLS+ · 9 seatsfrom £3,100/h
Cessna Citation Latitude · 9 seatsfrom £3,900/h
Embraer Praetor 600 · 9 seatsfrom £3,400/h

Super-midsize and large

For a delegation travelling as one party, for a team that works in the air, and for trips that run on from Krakow to the Gulf or the Alps rather than turning round.

Bombardier Challenger 350 · 9 seatsfrom £4,000/h
Bombardier Challenger 605 · 12 seatsfrom £4,350/h
Dassault Falcon 2000LXS · 10 seatsfrom £4,900/h
Gulfstream G450 · 13 seatsfrom £5,800/h

Turboprops

The right aircraft for the hops to Warsaw, Prague, Vienna and Budapest, where the saving over a jet is large and the extra minutes in the air hardly show.

Pilatus PC-12 NGX · 9 seatsfrom £1,400/h
Beechcraft King Air 350 · 9 seatsfrom £1,650/h

Helicopters

Not for the flight from Britain but for the last stretch: the Tatra foothills, a hotel with a lawn instead of a runway, or a city sightseeing loop. Where a helicopter may land is agreed before the quote.

This is a small part of what is available. Warsaw, Prague and Vienna are all roughly an hour away by turboprop, so outside the busiest ski weekends there is often an aircraft already positioned close to Krakow, and that is frequently where the better price comes from.

Business aviation airports around Krakow

One airport does the work for the city. The others deserve a look only when the trip is really to Silesia, to the east of Poland or to the mountains, and one name that turns up in the Tatra quotes is not an airport for jets at all.

Airport What it gives you
Kraków John Paul II, Balice
KRK / EPKK
The answer for almost every jet trip. About 11 km west of the centre, with a single concrete runway, 07/25, of 2,550 by 60 metres, instrument approaches and an airport of entry with customs on site. Listed as open round the clock. The airport operates its own VIP Terminal and Business Lounge, and independent handlers work on the ramp, among them Excel Handling, LS Airport Services and Welcome Airport Services. Slots are listed as required, handling as mandatory and non-scheduled flights as subject to prior permission
Katowice Pyrzowice
KTW / EPKT
The Silesian alternative, 3,200 m of runway and a general aviation handling permit held by the airport operator. It lies about 80 km from Balice, typically 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes by motorway, so it makes sense when the meeting is in Katowice or when Krakow is full, and not as a way of saving money on a trip to Krakow itself.
Rzeszów Jasionka
RZE / EPRZ
The eastern alternative, about 8 km north of Rzeszów, with a 3,200 m runway. Listed as open round the clock, as an airport of entry, with handling mandatory and slots not required. From Krakow it is about 170 km, or two to two and a half hours by the A4 motorway, so it belongs to a trip to south-eastern Poland and not to a Krakow booking
Nowy Targ
grass airfield
A grass airfield in Podhale, north of the Tatras, run by the local aero club, with a 1,680 m runway. A place for light aircraft, not for the jets we charter, and a quote that names it as the arrival point for Zakopane should be queried
Zakopane
no airport
The mountain resort has no airport of any kind. The sensible plan is to land at Balice and drive south, about 120 km, or to fly the last stretch by helicopter to a site agreed in advance

Four points settle most Krakow arrivals:

Choose the handler

Balice has the airport's own VIP Terminal, with a Meet and Assist service and a Business Lounge, alongside independent handlers on the ramp. Ramp services and prices differ between them, so we ask the operator which it prefers and confirm the handler in writing before you pay.

Hours, slots and noise

Balice is listed as open round the clock, with the tower manned throughout, so a late departure after dinner or an early return is possible. It is a coordinated airport with year-round slot coordination, so slots are typically required, and non-scheduled flights typically need prior permission. We request both with the handler and confirm them in writing.

Border and passport

Poland is in Schengen and Britain is not, so you pass passport control and customs on arrival. British passport holders need no visa for up to 90 days in any 180, with a passport under ten years old and valid three months beyond the day you leave. On a first visit the border registers a photograph and fingerprints, which adds time. A British and Polish dual national must enter and leave on the Polish passport.

Winter and late nights

From November to March Poland sees significant snow and icing, so we allow time for de-icing on a winter morning and put the late car and crew in the quote from the start. For a Tatra weekend, book the transfer with the flight: the road south is slow on Friday afternoons.

business aviation

Border, passport and the way home

Because Poland is inside Schengen, the first landing is where the formalities happen, and a hop on to Prague or Vienna afterwards is free of border control. Operators from outside the EU typically need a permit from the Polish Civil Aviation Authority for a charter, which we arrange together with the operator. The way home runs the other way: Britain treats the aircraft as arriving from abroad, so a General Aviation Report is filed not earlier than 48 hours and not later than two hours before departure, and passengers pass the border at the British airfield. Visitors who need no visa for Britain still need an Electronic Travel Authorisation unless they are British or Irish citizens. We file the paperwork; you bring passports that are in date.

From the apron to the Main Square

Krakow is a compact city on the Vistula, and its Old Town is a UNESCO site, so you reach the centre from the airport in the time it takes to read a briefing. The distances that matter run south to the mountains and out to the other airports of the region.

Balice to the Main Square
about 11 km west of the city; the suburban train to Kraków Główny takes about 17 minutes
typically 25 to 30 minutes by car
Balice to Zakopane
about 120 km from the airport to the resort, 106 km from the city; a private transfer takes 1.5 to 2 hours, and a Friday afternoon can stretch the drive to three or four
about 2 hours
Balice to Auschwitz-Birkenau
Oświęcim is 60 km from the airport, and it is 33 km from Katowice
typically about an hour
Balice to Katowice Pyrzowice
about 80 km by the A4 and A1 motorways
1 h to 1 h 15 min
Krakow to Warsaw by air
138 nm by Pilatus PC-12, against a long day on the road
about 50 minutes
Krakow to Prague by air
221 nm by Pilatus PC-12, no border control on arrival
about 1 h 10 min
Krakow to Vienna by air
180 nm by Pilatus PC-12, the same border-free hop to the south-west
about 1 h

Flying to Krakow with a dog or a cat

For a pet the paperwork is the part of a Polish trip that needs planning, and the flight is the easy bit: the animal sits beside you in the cabin, never in a hold, and on a sector of two hours most simply sleep. The date on the health certificate is the detail to get right, since it lasts ten days from the day it is issued.

private flight with animals

What Poland, as an EU country, asks for:

  • An identification chip fitted before or on the same day as the rabies vaccination. Polish veterinary rules say that the vaccination date cannot be earlier than the identification date;
  • A rabies vaccination given when the animal was at least 12 weeks old, with 21 days elapsed after a first vaccination before entry, and boosters kept on schedule;
  • No rabies antibody blood test when travelling from Britain, which the EU lists among the countries exempt from it;
  • An Animal Health Certificate from an Official Veterinarian, valid for ten days for entry to the EU and for the return to Britain as stated on the certificate. A British pet passport is not accepted for entry to the EU;
  • A written declaration from the owner that the journey is not commercial and that the animal travels within five days of the owner, which on a private flight is simply the same flight;
  • No more than five animals per traveller, entering through a travellers' point of entry, which our handler arranges at the terminal;
  • For dogs, a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival back in Britain, recorded with product, date and time. Cats are exempt.

What catches owners out on the Krakow run

– Poland asks for no tapeworm treatment on the way in, only Britain asks for it on the way home, so it is a vet appointment you book in Krakow towards the end of the stay. Count back from the departure time, because the window is 24 to 120 hours and a Monday-morning flight needs a visit that falls before the weekend closes the clinics;

– The order of the chip and the vaccine matters. A vaccination that is dated before the chip does not count, and an animal that arrives without a valid certificate can be refused entry or sent back at the owner's expense;

– A ski week in the Tatras with a dog is an ordinary booking. Settle the hotel and the transfer before the quote, because each one has to accept the animal separately.

Requirements for cats, ferrets, birds and anything less usual are collected on our flying with pets guide. For the flight home, we confirm the entry point and the paperwork for the animal in writing before the flight.

The Krakow calendar: festivals in the city, snow in the mountains

Krakow has two seasons at once. The city runs a festival calendar from spring to autumn, while the Tatras, two hours to the south, have a winter that keeps the airport and the road south busy in January and February. Knowing which week you want matters more than choosing an aircraft.

Dec to March
The Zakopane ski season. January and February are the peak, with the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup at the Wielka Krokiew jump usually held in January and a crowd of tens of thousands. Book aircraft, hotel and transfer together, and expect Friday afternoon on the road south to be slow
March or April
Misteria Paschalia, a festival of early and sacred music in Holy Week, and Rękawka, a medieval re-enactment fair in the days after Easter at the Krakus Mound. A cultural week with small parties and few corporate bookings
May
Off Plus Camera, a week of independent cinema, and Kraków Photomonth, a month-long photography festival. Quieter than the summer months, and a good time for a city break
June
The busiest festival month. The Jewish Culture Festival, the Kraków Film Festival, the Dragon Parade on the Vistula, the Lajkonik parade and the midsummer Wianki all fall in June, together with the Wieliczka Salt Festival. Hotels and cars are under pressure, so book the aircraft early
July
The Summer Jazz Festival, the Ars Cameralis chamber opera festival, Wawel at Dusk concerts and the ULICA street theatre festival run across the month. Evenings are full, and the Tatras are in hiking season
August
The Live Festival, the Pierogi Festival and Music in Old Kraków. August is also the most crowded month in Zakopane, so a mountain base needs the longest lead time of the year
September
Sacrum Profanum, the Music Film Festival and the Sfogato Chopin festival. A good month for the Tatras on foot, with fewer people and steadier weather than midsummer
October
The Conrad Festival of literature, the Unsound music festival and the Jazz Autumn series. A cultural month rather than a corporate one, so the booking runs to the usual timetable
November
The Jazz All Souls festival and the Etiuda & Anima film festival, and from the end of the month the Christmas market in the Main Square. Small parties on weekend city breaks

Why a ski weekend or a festival week costs more

The aircraft are not the scarce item. Krakow has a single runway, a modest apron and a short list of good cars, rooms and mountain chalets, and on a January Friday or in the middle of June all of them are wanted together. Ask for a jet a fortnight before and you will probably get one, flown over from Warsaw, Prague or Vienna and priced to match; ask five or six weeks ahead and the same trip is simpler and cheaper. Away from those dates Krakow is an easy city to charter into, often in a day or two, though a winter morning means allowing time for de-icing.

Ways to bring the Krakow price down

  • Shift the dates by a few days if the diary allows. A Tuesday arrival in January costs less than the Friday before the World Cup weekend, and the weeks around Easter are calmer than June;
  • Ask where the aircraft is based. An aircraft that already sits in Warsaw, Prague or Vienna costs less to bring over than one flown out from Britain, and on a sector this long the positioning is a visible slice of the invoice;
  • Take the light jet only when the party and the bags are small. Three people with cabin bags save real money in a CJ3+; six people with ski luggage do not, and the quote that looks cheap on paper is often the one that changes.

Types of flights

Krakow produces a different mix from the Alpine or the Mediterranean destinations we cover, because it is at once a business city, a heritage destination and the gateway to the Tatras.

  • Business travel to a city with about 50 large multinationals and a global software headquarters, with fixed meeting dates, a small team and a wish to be home the same evening;
  • Ski and mountain weekends in Zakopane from December to March, mostly families and groups of friends, with the jet landing at Balice and a car or helicopter doing the rest;
  • Heritage and memorial visits, where a party combines the Old Town and the Wieliczka salt mine with a day at Auschwitz-Birkenau, 60 km from the airport;
  • Festival and concert weekends, from the June festival month to the Christmas market, when the party travels to a date set by the programme;
  • Trips that combine Krakow with Silesia or the Czech Republic, often with a Katowice or Prague leg added;
  • Day trips from London, which at a little over two hours each way are a long day but a workable one.

Krakow stretches the day trip to its limit. Wheels up at seven, on the ground a little after ten local time, and off again at six in the evening gives you a little over seven hours in the city and puts you back in Britain around a quarter past seven. The crew sits out the meetings at the airport and that waiting time is charged, yet the total is usually below two one-way charters, and we price the route both ways so you can compare.

Empty Legs

Some jets cross Europe with nobody aboard, moving to their next job, and the operator will sell that seat-free leg cheaply rather than fly it for nothing. That is an empty leg. On the Krakow route the supply follows the ski and festival calendar more than the working week.

Where Krakow empty legs come from

– Ski weekends. Aircraft bring parties to Balice on a Friday for Zakopane and leave empty on the Saturday, and that Saturday or Sunday leg back towards London, Warsaw or Prague is the one most often offered;

– Festival weekends and the Christmas market. Small parties arrive on the Friday and the aircraft goes home empty, which produces an outbound leg on the Friday or Saturday;

– Regional rotation. Operators positioning between Warsaw, Prague, Vienna and Budapest put short regional legs on the market, and those short hops can be cheap.

Because the Polish corridor is thinner than the busiest London routes, a client who can name a few days rather than one has a far better chance than one who needs a particular evening. What you give up is the usual: the operator owns the date and the hour, and a leg can vanish when the original booking moves. Whatever is free is listed on our empty legs page, and we flag a Krakow match the day an operator releases it.

empty legs

Helicopter charter

In Krakow a helicopter is a tool for the edges of a trip and not the middle. The Old Town is small enough to cross by car or on foot, and the place where rotary flight changes the journey is the road south to the Tatras, where a drive of about two hours becomes a short flight.

Balice to the Zakopane area
a transfer to a hotel or a chalet with an agreed landing site, against about two hours by road, and far more on a Friday afternoon
typically 30 to 40 minutes
A sightseeing loop of the city
the Old Town, Wawel Hill and the Vistula bend, from the air
typically 30 minutes
A scenic flight towards the Tatras
a loop on an agreed route and height, with the mountains on the skyline
typically 30 to 40 minutes

Before you plan around a helicopter

– Rotary flight is limited by where it may set down. A landing away from an aerodrome needs an agreed site and the landowner's consent, so we check the status of a hotel lawn or a chalet meadow before the quote is written;

– The Tatras are a protected area. The park authority on the Slovak side of the range has publicly objected to low sightseeing flights and quotes a minimum height of 300 m above the highest obstacle within 600 m, so any scenic flight is planned on an agreed route and height, and we confirm what applies on the day;

– Winter weather sets the schedule. Snow, low cloud and fog can stop a helicopter on a day when the jet lands without trouble, so a mountain transfer needs a road alternative planned into the same day.

The machines used on this ground are the Airbus H125 for mountain work, the wider H130 for scenic and transfer flights, the H135 and the Bell 429 where a twin is wanted, and the H155 for larger parties. We book them alongside the jet so that both crews work to one timetable.

Krakow charters from the booking notes: six typical trips

What the corridor looks like once a quote turns into a flight. Six typical jobs of the kind that come through our booking notes, described in outline, with the particulars changed.

DAY TRIP · OUT AND BACK

A working day in Krakow and home for the evening

Biggin Hill - Krakow and return, Citation CJ3+, about 2 h 15 min each way · 4 pax

Four people left a London airfield at seven, landed a little after ten local time and went straight into an afternoon of meetings in the centre. The aircraft stayed on the ground at Balice with its crew, and that wait was a line in the quote, but the total was still lower than two one-way charters. Home by quarter past seven. A long day that does the job.

SKI WEEKEND · THE TATRAS

Six friends and a chalet near Zakopane

Farnborough - Krakow, Phenom 300E, about 2 h 10 min · 6 pax

They picked a January weekend without knowing it was the week of the ski jumping World Cup. The transfer was the saving grace: the car was waiting at the aircraft door and the driver knew to leave before the Friday traffic built on the road south. A booking made earlier would have cost less, and we said so.

CONFERENCE WEEK · FIXED DATES

A software team for three days of meetings

London Luton - Krakow, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 10 min · 8 pax

The dates were set by the meetings and not by the client. Eight people, laptops, printed folders and a request for a car at the aircraft door. The booking went in six weeks ahead, the handler pre-arranged the passport check at the terminal, and the aircraft left Luton on time with nothing to explain.

HERITAGE TRIP · TWO DAYS

A family visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the salt mine

London City - Krakow and return, Citation XLS+ · 6 pax

Two days built around the Old Town, the Wieliczka salt mine and a day at the memorial at Oświęcim, 60 km from the airport. One aircraft and one driver for the whole stay, with the flight home timed so that nobody had to rush the last visit. Booked as a single trip, it cost less than two separate one-way charters.

CHRISTMAS MARKET · A DOG ON BOARD

Four adults and a spaniel for a December weekend

Southampton - Krakow, Citation XLS+, about 2 h 20 min · 4 pax + dog

The Animal Health Certificate had to be dated inside ten days of arrival, and the vet appointment in Krakow for the tapeworm treatment had to fall between 24 and 120 hours before the flight home. We booked both with the aircraft, the hotel took the dog, and the whole thing was settled in a single exchange of messages rather than three.

EMPTY LEG · SUNDAY EVENING WEST

A jet already going your way

Krakow - London Luton, Phenom 300E empty leg, about 2 h 05 min · 3 pax

The aircraft had brought a party in for the weekend and was going home empty. The client gave us a three-day window instead of a date, which is what makes these work, and paid well below a fresh one-way charter for a Sunday evening departure to the London fields.

Frequently asked questions about flying to Krakow

1How long is a private jet flight from London to Krakow?

About 2 hours 15 minutes from London City or Biggin Hill in a light jet, and around 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes from Luton or Farnborough in a Phenom, covering roughly 781 to 814 nautical miles. From Birmingham or Manchester allow about 2 hours 20 to 25 minutes in a midsize cabin, and from Edinburgh or Glasgow around 2 hours 25 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. Krakow is one hour ahead of Britain, so a seven o'clock departure lands a little after ten local time.

2How much does a private jet to Krakow cost?

From about £10,800 one way on a light jet out of London City, and £10,850 from Biggin Hill. A Phenom from Luton or Farnborough runs £11,050 to £11,250, a midsize cabin costs £14,450 from Birmingham and £15,000 from Bristol, and from Scotland allow £19,500 to £20,100. January ski weekends, the June festival month and the Christmas market period price above these figures.

3Which airport should a private jet use for Krakow?

Kraków John Paul II at Balice (KRK / EPKK) for almost every trip. It is about 11 km west of the centre, listed as open round the clock, and has a single 2,550 m runway, an airport-run VIP Terminal and handlers including Excel Handling, LS Airport Services and Welcome Airport Services. Slots are typically required and handling typically compulsory. Katowice (KTW / EPKT) is about 80 km away and Rzeszów (RZE / EPRZ) about 170 km, and both make sense only when the trip is really to Silesia or south-eastern Poland.

4When should I book a private jet to Krakow?

Outside the peaks a day or two is usually enough. For the January and February ski weekends, the June festival month, the August crowds in Zakopane and the Christmas market weekends, allow four to six weeks. Slots, apron space, hotels and cars all get tight in the same days, and a late booking tends to pay more for an aircraft positioned from another city.

5Can I fly on from Krakow to Zakopane, Warsaw or Prague?

Zakopane has no airport, so the plan is to land at Balice and drive about 120 km, typically two hours, or to take a helicopter to an agreed site. Warsaw is 138 nautical miles from Krakow and Prague 221, so a Pilatus PC-12 does either in roughly an hour, with no passport control on arrival since Poland and Czechia are both in Schengen. Vienna is 180 nautical miles away and about 1 h in a turboprop.

6Can I take my dog to Krakow on a private jet?

Yes. The dog travels in the cabin with you, and Poland, as an EU country, asks for a chip fitted before or on the day of the rabies vaccination, a vaccination at least 21 days old and an Animal Health Certificate valid for ten days for entry, with the owner's declaration that the journey is not commercial. No rabies blood test is needed from Britain. For the return to Britain a dog needs a tapeworm treatment from a vet between 24 and 120 hours before arrival. Cats are exempt from the treatment.
