Charter a private jet to France from any UK airport
Private Jets UK flies clients from Britain into France at every point of the compass, from a forty-five-minute hop across the Channel to the Alps in February and Corsica in August. Our customers have access to 6500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. For 15 years of successful work, we have established partnerships with the world’s largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you the most favorable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. The aircraft we put on French routes sit mostly at Farnborough, Biggin Hill and Luton, with a resident contingent at Le Bourget and Nice that removes the positioning leg altogether on an internal French sector.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter in France depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Please note that the above-mentioned price is indicative only. It is calculated based on the following data: departure from London Farnborough Airport, a Citation XLS+, two passengers. If you want to get a personal quote, just fill out the online booking form below. Our aviation consultant will make the calculation within 20 minutes, and then contact you to specify the details of the flight.
How long does it take to fly to France?
France reaches from the Channel almost to Africa, so the answer depends entirely on which part of it you want. These are the sectors from London, timed gate to gate:
142 and 152 nautical miles, the shortest crossings we fly and shorter than the drive out to the departure field from central London45 to 50 minutes
205 nautical miles into Europe’s busiest business aviation airport, eleven kilometres from the centreabout 1 hour
424 and 423 nautical miles, covering the Rhone valley and the south-west1 h 25 to 1 h 30
448 nautical miles, and the field most Courchevel and Meribel bookings route throughabout 1 h 40 min
580 nautical miles to the largest business aviation terminal in Europeabout 1 h 50 min
673 to 733 nautical miles, the longest French sector and the only one that crosses open sea2 h 15 to 2 h 30
From the north of Britain add roughly forty minutes
Edinburgh sits 470 nautical miles from Le Bourget against 205 from Luton, and Aberdeen 522. On the short Channel sectors that difference more than doubles the flight, which is why a Scottish client heading to Normandy is quoted differently from a London one. On the Riviera and Corsican runs it matters less in proportion, though it does start to affect which cabin makes sense with a full party aboard.
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

Two things worth knowing about these figures
– France starts closer to Britain than any other mainland country and runs a very long way south. Le Touquet sits 142 nautical miles from Farnborough, Nice 580 and Corsica beyond 700, so a Channel hop and a Mediterranean arrival at Montpellier or Avignon are different trips at different prices;
– The Riviera in summer and the Alps in February carry premiums the rest of the country does not. Paris runs steadily all year and peaks instead around the two fashion weeks.
Private jet flights within France
France generates a great deal of internal private jet traffic, from Nantes and Bordeaux to Toulouse and Strasbourg, because the country is large and its best places connect poorly to each other by anything except Paris. These are the domestic sectors we quote most often:
| Route | Aircraft | Flight time | Price, one way |

| Paris - Ajaccio, Corsica 500 nm / 927 km |

Two things worth knowing about the domestic sectors
– Most of these sectors land inside an hour or a little over, so handling and crew time weigh more in the figure than the miles do. Corsica is the outlier at five hundred nautical miles from Paris, out across the Mediterranean well beyond Marseille;
– Two seasons run in opposite directions: the Alps around Megeve and the Tarentaise fill from December to March, while the Riviera and the south-west around Biarritz run from May to September. Aircraft reposition between them twice a year, and those movements feed the empty legs worth watching.
We can arrange the flights from any cities in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European countries. Due to a large database of available business jets, we can help you find an optimal jet and crew. If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:
Prices depending on the type of business jet
We can clearly show the high dependence of the cost of the flight, on the type of aircraft - we have collected approximate data, at the price of 1 flight hour, for various types of business jets:
- Large jet (similar to Legacy 600) - from 4900 to 5800 GBP per flight hour;
- Business liners - from 10300 GBP per flight hour;
- Light jet - from 2100 to 3000 GBP per flight hour;
- Long-haul jet (similar to Global 5000, Gulfstream G550, Falcon 7X, etc.) - from 5800 to 8800 GBP per flight hour;
- Medium-sized jet (identical to Cessna Citation XLS+, Hawker 800XP, etc.) - from 3000 to 3700 GBP per flight hour;
- Turboprops - from 850 GBP per flight hour.
- Large medium-class jet (similar to Challenger 300, etc.) - from 4600 to 5500 GBP per flight hour;
- Small jet, from 1700 to 2500 GBP per flight hour;

Also, we have prepared a table with the general prices of the most popular planes:

Private jets are ready to take off
Turboprops
The only class that reaches Courchevel, and the sensible choice on the short northern sectors where a jet spends most of its time climbing and descending anyway.
Light jets
The volume of French traffic from Britain and the class that lands at Cannes Mandelieu and La Mole. Comfortable on any sector from the Channel to the Alps.
Super-midsize
Where a family goes to the Riviera for a fortnight or a board travels together. The hold decides it: two weeks of luggage for eight, or ski equipment in February, needs this class.
Heavy jets
For delegations and festival parties, and the class that must use Nice rather than Cannes. Also what arrives when the French leg is the end of an intercontinental trip.
Ultra-long range
Rare within France itself and usually arriving from New York, Dubai or Asia. Nice and Le Bourget both handle them; the smaller Riviera and Alpine fields do not.

Business aviation airports in France
France has more business aviation airports than any country in Europe, and they divide cleanly into four groups: Paris, the Riviera, the Alps and everything else. Which one you use is usually settled by the aircraft rather than by the map:
| Airport | Ground | How it operates |
|---|---|---|
| Paris Le Bourget LBG / LFPB |
11 km to central Paris | Europe’s busiest business aviation airport and the one most Paris charters use. More private terminals than any other European field, three runways taking every cabin including the airliner conversions, and slots that tighten sharply around the fashion weeks |
| Nice Cote d’Azur NCE / LFMN |
7 km to the city | The largest business aviation terminal in Europe, with two long runways that accept anything flying. It is the mandatory arrival for intercontinental aircraft and for the heavy cabins that Cannes cannot take. The whole Cote d’Azur works from here |
| Cannes Mandelieu CEQ / LFMD |
5 km to the Palais | Private aviation only, and the closest field to the Croisette. Runway limits confine it to light and midsize types, so a heavy jet goes into Nice instead. Third in France for business movements and at its peak from May to September |
| Lyon Bron LYN / LFLY |
10 km to the centre | The business field for Lyon and the corporate gateway to the Rhone valley, separate from the commercial airport and quicker on the ground because of it |
| Saint-Tropez La Mole LTT / LFTZ |
15 km to the gulf | Light aircraft only, minutes from Pampelonne, and the reason a Saint-Tropez booking often pairs a jet into Nice with a short onward leg |
| Chambery CMF / LFLB |
into the Tarentaise valley | The winter workhorse for the French Alps and the field most Chambery and Courchevel bookings route through, with Grenoble and Annecy as the less weather-dependent alternatives |
| Courchevel Altiport CVF / LFLJ |
on the mountain itself | A sloped altiport at altitude, restricted to turboprops and helicopters with specifically qualified crews. Courchevel is the only resort in Europe where the aircraft lands inside the ski area |
| Ajaccio and Figari AJA and FSC |
Corsica | The two Corsican gateways, five hundred nautical miles from Paris. Ajaccio serves the west coast and Figari the southern beaches and Bonifacio |
The runway decides more often than the postcode
Three French airports sit close to where clients actually want to be and take only part of the fleet. Cannes Mandelieu is five kilometres from the Palais but stops at midsize. La Mole is minutes from the Saint-Tropez beaches and accepts light aircraft. Courchevel is inside the ski area and restricted to turboprops and helicopters flown by crews holding the altiport qualification. In each case the alternative adds road time rather than removing the option, so we quote the pairing both ways and let the party size settle it. Ask for a heavy cabin into Mandelieu and the answer has to be Nice with a car or a seven-minute helicopter leg.
What French procedure asks of every departure
France runs tighter paperwork than most of Europe, and none of it is difficult once it is known. All of it is ours to handle, but it does shape how a same-day change is managed:
Why a late change of passenger matters here
On most European routes an extra name added on the morning is a phone call. In France the manifest is tied to the landing permit, and documentation checks at Nice and Le Bourget are routine rather than occasional. A name that does not match wants a formal revision before departure, which we can arrange quickly but cannot skip. So we ask for the final list a day ahead rather than an hour ahead, and where a client genuinely cannot fix it we build the permit around that from the start.
The dates that fill the ramps
– The Cannes Film Festival in May, which overlaps the Monaco Grand Prix and turns the whole Riviera into one traffic problem. Slots at Mandelieu are the scarce item, not the aircraft;
– Paris fashion weeks in the late winter and again in the early autumn, when Le Bourget works at its limit and garment cases decide the cabin;
– February half term in the Alps, when Chambery and Geneva both run out and Grenoble or Annecy become the sensible answer;
– July and August on the Riviera and in Corsica, where the constraint moves from slots to overnight parking.

Flying to France with a dog or a cat
Of all the private jet routes we sell, France is the one where an animal travels most easily. Paris is an hour from London and even Corsica under two and a half, and the country sits inside the European Union and is listed for the return, so nothing here runs to the months an unlisted country demands.
The one fact to read before you book
France is a listed country, so coming home needs no rabies blood test and no waiting period. What it does need is an Animal Health Certificate from an Official Veterinarian in Britain, dated within ten days of travel, and that single document then covers return journeys for six months. Owners who go to a house in Provence or the Alps several times a season get it once rather than each trip. The tapeworm treatment is for dogs only and only on the way back, given by a French vet between one and five days before you fly.
- An ISO-standard microchip, fitted before the rabies vaccination and not after;
- Rabies vaccination at least 21 days old on the day you land, given when the animal was at least 12 weeks;
- An Animal Health Certificate dated no more than ten days before entering the European Union;
- Tapeworm treatment for dogs on the homeward leg, recorded with the date and the product;
- Up to five animals per booking without commercial paperwork.
Cats need everything on that list except the worming, which makes a French trip with a cat simpler than with a dog. On a sector of an hour or so a settled cat in a familiar carrier usually sleeps through the whole thing. Larger dogs benefit from the cabin floor and the room a charter gives them, and neither faces a weight limit or goes near a hold.
practices near Le Bourget, Nice and Chambery deal with charter clients regularly, and we book the return appointment alongside the flightnot on the field
short enough that most animals barely register it; the Riviera and Corsica run to two hours and beyondabout an hour to Paris
one document covers a whole season for an owner with a house in Francesix months of return trips
a cold apron at Chambery in February wants the transfer waiting rather than fetchedthe ground is the variable
Requirements for birds, rabbits and the less usual species, along with the countries where the timeline runs to months, are set out on our flying with pets guide.
Types of flights
Our company provides all types of business flights. Due to a wide variety of jets, we can arrange:
- private flights;
- corporate flights;
- business class flights;
- concert tours;
- medical flights (with doctors and special equipment on board);
- tourist flights for large and small groups;
- sports charters for teams and coaching staff;
- combined flights (partly by business jet, and partly by helicopter);
- exclusive flights on luxury jets for businessmen, celebrities, and politicians;
- cargo flights, etc.
A flexible approach and a wide experience allow us to solve problems of any complexity. In 90% of cases, we manage to arrange urgent flights (on the day of application). But to be sure, we recommend you send a request at least 2-5 days before the desired date of departure.

Empty Legs
Another way to fly cheaper is to use Empty Legs. This service allows you to save on regular charter rates. As you know, part of the flights is one-way (for example, when the passenger flies from England to France). After the flight, the jet returns to its home base (for example, to London Farnborough airport) empty. Such flight is called “Empty Legs”. Empty leg flights can be as cheap as 50-75% off the standard charter price. This option is profitable for both the passengers and the charter companies. The clients can enjoy the services of business aviation at a very good price, while the airlines recoup part of the cost of fuel and jet maintenance.
It is almost impossible to find Empty Leg flights, as the information about them is stored in special databases available only to the aviation brokers and specialized companies. You should know that Empty Leg flights offer the same service as private jet charters. The passengers enjoy a 100% private jet flying experience. Services and flight conditions are discussed individually. We should note that our company cooperates with the world’s largest home bases, so we can offer our clients a wide choice of return flights. Just send a request to our manager who will help you find the best flight options. Please note that Empty Leg flights are sold out very quickly. To avoid such a problem, you can leave us a deposit, and we will contact you as soon as the flight of your choice becomes available. For additional information, check with the operators.
A selection of empty legs that have run on the French routes recently. Dates are left off, since a leg lasts only until somebody claims it:
| Route | Aircraft | Capacity | Whole aircraft |
|---|---|---|---|
| France (Paris Le Bourget) - UK (London Luton) | Cessna Citation Mustang | 4 seats | 3,400 EUR |
| UK (Farnborough) - France (Deauville) | Cessna Citation M2 | 7 seats | 3,900 EUR |
| France (Chambery) - UK (London Biggin Hill) | Cessna Citation CJ2+ | 6 seats | 5,100 EUR |
| UK (Manchester) - France (Paris Le Bourget) | Cessna Citation CJ3+ | 7 seats | 5,800 EUR |
| France (Nice) - UK (Farnborough) | Cessna Citation XLS+ | 9 seats | 7,600 EUR |
| UK (London Stansted) - France (Lyon) | Bombardier Challenger 350 | 9 seats | 9,400 EUR |
| France (Ajaccio) - UK (London Luton) | Embraer Legacy 650 | 13 seats | 12,800 EUR |
How to read those figures
– Each price is for the whole aircraft rather than per seat. A Legacy 650 out of Corsica at 12,800 EUR carrying thirteen works out under a thousand a head;
– Set each line beside the same class in the tables above. A Citation XLS+ out of Nice at 7,600 EUR against 13,900 for a fresh charter from Stansted is the saving in plain terms;
– France produces more of these than most countries because its two seasons pull aircraft in opposite directions. Alpine legs cluster at the end of March, Riviera ones in September.

Jet Sharing
Today, Jet Sharing is just as popular as private jet charter. This service involves the joint rental of a business jet with other passengers (that is, the cost of the flight is divided equally between all passengers of a specific flight). This type of flight has become especially popular in the last few years. Many people like Jet Sharing because it allows you to enjoy all benefits of business aviation at favorable prices.
We should note that the number of passengers per Jet Sharing flight varies from 3 to 8, while the cost of the flight ranges from 1200 to 6000 pounds (depending on the destination). This way, you can get a comfortable flight on a business jet (and maybe even meet new business partners) at a very good price. You can check out the schedule of Jet Sharing flights by filling in the online form or contacting our operators by phone or WhatsApp.
Main advantages of this service:
- All privileges of business aviation, including the use of the business aviation terminal and the check-in 30 minutes before the flight, are retained;
- You can also use the services of the VIP Lounge (included in the price of the flight);
- No baggage restrictions;
- Affordable price: jet sharing is much cheaper than private jet charter;
- Pets can be carried directly in the aircraft cabin.
Our consultants will be happy to help you choose the best flight.

Helicopter charter
France is the European country where rotary flying does the most work alongside the private jet, because three of its best regions are badly served by road at exactly the times people want to be there:
the principality has no airport, only a heliport, and the shuttle runs all day in seasonabout 7 minutes
against thirty minutes on the A8, and rather more during the festival fortnightabout 8 minutes
the Gulf of Saint-Tropez by road in August is a different proposition entirelyabout 20 minutes
Courchevel, Meribel and Val d’Isere, where the valley road is slow on a Saturday changeover20 to 25 minutes
Deauville and the estates, against two and a half hours of motorwayabout 45 minutes
The machines that work these routes
– Airbus H125 and H130, the singles behind most Alpine and Riviera transfers. Five or six seats and precise into a confined pad, which is what a mountain site or a villa terrace needs;
– Airbus H145 and Leonardo AW109 where two engines are wanted, which on the Nice to Monaco shuttle over water is what most operators fly;
– Bell 407 for the estate and shooting work in Normandy and the Loire, where the landing sites are private ground rather than licensed pads.
Two points on French rotary legs
– Paris airspace is among the most tightly controlled in Europe and rotary routing is agreed in advance rather than improvised on the morning;
– Alpine weather closes mountain legs on days a jet operates without trouble, so a car stays arranged behind every Tarentaise transfer as a matter of course.

Flight payment options
The main goal of our company is to provide the highest level of comfort to our customers. Therefore, we’re always ready to meet you halfway. Our consultants will offer you a wide variety of flights to meet your needs and budget. Most customers prefer a non-cash method (a transfer to an EU bank account), which guarantees a high level of confidentiality and security of payment. All payment details are provided in advance, so you’ll have enough time to make the necessary checks. For years of working in business aviation, our company has gained an impeccable reputation. We practice transparency and are always ready to present all necessary documents.
Private Jet UK works with both physical and legal entities. We guarantee the confidentiality and security of payments. You can pay for the flights from France in any convenient way:
- cashless (by transfer to our account);
- by cash;
- by card;
- by cryptocurrency.
Our company works with European and British banks, which allows you to choose the most convenient payment method. In addition, we conclude formal agreements and provide our clients with all necessary documents and invoices, which guarantees the safe payment and delivery of services. If you have any financial questions, feel free to contact our private aviation consultants.
If you need to book an urgent flight, please keep in mind that the bank transfer can take a few days. In such situations, we may need to involve our partner companies so that you can pay for your flight in cash. If you have any questions, you can contact your personal consultant 24/7.

What our clients say about flying to France
A few words from people who have made these trips with us. First names only, and the wording is theirs.
LE BOURGET
“Door to door, completely seamless”
Luton to Paris Le Bourget · Phenom 300E · David
“Booking was very straightforward and the price more competitive than I expected. The delivery of it all was flawless: a genuinely door-to-door journey, seamless from the house in Surrey to the eighth arrondissement.”
NICE
“Replies within minutes, even at night”
Stansted to Nice · Citation XLS+ · Julian
“Heather was incredibly helpful and responded to emails within minutes, including well outside office hours, which frankly amazed me. Will definitely use them again.”
SHORT NOTICE
“Turned around in twelve hours”
Manchester to Paris Le Bourget · Citation XLS+ · The Garner family
“We had an extremely tight timeline and without Lenard it simply would not have happened: he turned the whole thing around in twelve hours. The flights themselves were exemplary, but it is his assistance we really want to single out. We would not hesitate to book again.”
CHAMBERY
“A plan B we never needed”
Leeds Bradford to Chambery · Learjet 75 Liberty · The Harper family
“Because of the Alpine weather we were offered flexibility on the airport in advance: if Chambery closed we would land at Lyon instead. In the end we landed exactly where we planned, on time despite the snow, and the pilots talked us through the approach between the mountains. It inspires confidence when people know their trade that well.”
WITH CHILDREN
“The pilots explained the screens”
Bristol to Paris Le Bourget · Phenom 300E · Rachel
“Our boys were curious about how the screens in the cockpit worked, and both pilots were happy to show them and explain everything before departure. Everyone was very nice and professional. For the children it was the event of the trip, and Paris never stood a chance against the flight deck.”
RETURN LEG
“Both flights were a dream”
Nice to Farnborough · Citation XLS+ · Sarah
“We flew for our honeymoon. Both flights were a dream and made the whole trip so much easier. Thank you for the wonderful help, brilliant service as always.”
Frequently asked questions about flying to France
1How long does it take to fly to France by private jet?
Under an hour from London to Le Touquet or Deauville, about an hour to Paris Le Bourget, and roughly an hour and fifty minutes to Nice. Chambery for the Alps is around an hour and forty, and Corsica about two and a half. From Manchester or Edinburgh add half an hour to each.
2How much does a private jet to France cost?
From about 5,400 EUR one way from Farnborough to Le Touquet on a light jet and 7,400 EUR from Luton to Paris. Nice from Stansted starts around 13,900 EUR and the Alps around 13,100 EUR from Leeds. Internal French legs are lower: Paris to Lyon from 6,100 EUR and Paris to Nice from 10,600 EUR.
3Which airports in France do private jets use?
Paris Le Bourget is Europe’s busiest business aviation airport and handles most Paris traffic. Nice has the largest business aviation terminal in Europe and takes any aircraft. Cannes Mandelieu is closest to the Croisette but limited to light and midsize types, La Mole serves Saint-Tropez, Chambery the Alps, and Courchevel has an altiport for turboprops and helicopters only.
4Can a private jet land at Courchevel?
Only turboprops and helicopters, flown by crews holding the specific altiport qualification. The runway is short, sloped and at altitude, which rules out every jet. Most Courchevel bookings therefore fly into Chambery or Grenoble and continue by road or helicopter, and we price both so the difference is visible.
5What paperwork does France require for a private flight?
More than most of Europe, and all of it handled at our end. The crew carries out a security search on the day of departure with the captain signing the form, engine start needs air traffic approval, and slots at Nice and Cannes must appear in the flight plan itself. The passenger list is tied to the landing permit, so a late change needs a formal revision rather than a phone call.
