Private jet charter to Iran
Private Jets UK receives more enquiries about Iran than about most countries we do fly to, and this page answers them honestly: direct charters are suspended, the reasons are specific rather than vague, and the practical route today runs through Istanbul or Dubai. Our customers have access to 6500 jets of all types and configurations available for rent. We will help you choose the best option based on your needs and objectives. Our catalog contains the models from the largest manufacturers: Gulfstream, Dassault, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft, Pilatus, HondaJet, etc. For 15 years of successful work, we have established partnerships with the world’s largest airlines and VIP terminals, which means we can offer you the most favorable flight conditions and a high level of service. Our experts will manage the organization of your flight - starting with paperwork, agreements, etc., and ending with a transfer and meeting at the airport. Our company provides a full range of business aviation and concierge services. The aircraft we quote for the Istanbul and Dubai gateways sit at the London fields and in the North, with Gulf-based partners handling anything that starts east of Europe.

At your request, the aviation consultants of Private Jets UK will help you choose the jet with the suitable technical parameters (production year, flight hours, and home base). The cost of the private jet charter towards Iran depends on many factors, such as the model of the business jet, the number of passengers, departure and destination airports, type of flight, duration of parking, additional services, etc. Therefore, we calculate the price of each order individually taking into account your wishes. You can use an online calculator to get an instant charter quote. Please indicate your real contact details to get the final calculation.
You can calculate the cost of your flight in several ways:
- using an online calculator on the website (however, it shows only the approximate price);
- via Messenger (WhatsApp or Telegram);
- by landline or cell phone;
- via e-mail (jets@private-jets.co.uk).
Current status of private jet flights to Iran
Direct charters to Iran are suspended - here is exactly why, as of August 2026
– The European aviation safety agency’s current conflict zone bulletin advises operators not to enter the Tehran flight information region at any altitude, and war-risk insurers treat that wording as a hard line: no cover, no flight;
– The United Kingdom cancelled its bilateral air services agreement with Iran in September 2024 and has widened its sanctions regime since, so a UK-arranged charter into Iranian airports is not currently something any reputable broker can deliver;
– A ceasefire announced in April 2026 broke down in July, and although the eastern half of Iranian airspace has formally reopened for overflights, international operators are staying out. We would rather tell you this on the page than after you have sent a request.
What we can genuinely do today is fly you to the two cities from which Iran is reached in practice: Istanbul, with onward connections to Tehran and Tabriz, and Dubai, the historic hub for Iranian business and family traffic, reopened to civil aviation since June. We also watch the bulletins weekly, and every enquiry about Iran is answered against the position on the day of the call rather than the position on this page.

Every price in this article is indicative and built the way a real quote is built: a specific aircraft on a specific pairing, two passengers unless stated otherwise. The gateway table further down shows current levels; a personal calculation takes our consultant about 20 minutes through any form on this page.
How long does it take to fly to Iran?
Two answers, one honest distinction. To the gateways, the times below are real and current. To Iranian cities themselves, the direct figure is a reference for when service resumes: London to Tehran is 2,386 nautical miles, which a super-midsize cabin covers in about five and a half hours when the airspace is ordinary, and no reputable operator flies it today.
Worked examples on the gateway routes, with the arithmetic shown. Distances are great-circle and times include climb and descent:
1 route London Luton - Istanbul (IST), by private jet Citation Latitude
- Aircraft range: 5,000 km;
- Flight distance: 1,347 nm / 2,495 km;
- Cruising speed: 830 km/h;
- Flight time: 3:25 h
2 route Manchester - Istanbul (IST), by private jet Praetor 600
- Aircraft range: 7,441 km;
- Flight distance: 1,440 nm / 2,667 km;
- Cruising speed: 863 km/h;
- Flight time: 3:35 h
3 route Birmingham - Istanbul (IST), by private jet Citation Latitude
- Aircraft range: 5,000 km;
- Flight distance: 1,406 nm / 2,604 km;
- Cruising speed: 830 km/h;
- Flight time: 3:30 h
4 route London Luton - Dubai (DWC), by private jet Challenger 605
- Aircraft range: 7,408 km;
- Flight distance: 2,978 nm / 5,515 km great-circle;
- Cruising speed: 870 km/h;
- Flight time: about 7:15 h on the southern corridor via Egypt and Saudi Arabia
5 route Edinburgh - Dubai (DWC), by private jet Global 6000
- Aircraft range: 11,112 km;
- Flight distance: 3,130 nm / 5,797 km great-circle;
- Cruising speed: 907 km/h;
- Flight time: about 7:20 h on the southern corridor via Egypt and Saudi Arabia
The exact flight time depends on the model of the business jet, as well as the speed of the tail or head wind. Our consultant will make a detailed calculation of the flight time for the chosen business jet.

From the gateway onwards
– Istanbul to Tehran is 1,108 nautical miles and Istanbul to Tabriz 828; scheduled carriers fly both, and we book the onward tickets alongside the charter when asked;
– Dubai sits 665 nautical miles from Tehran and 311 from Shiraz, which is why it has always been the practical hub for southern Iran;
– The onward legs are commercial flights into Iran, not our charters. We say this plainly because pages that imply otherwise are selling something that cannot currently be bought.
If you have any questions about the departure or the flight itself, you can ask them using the form below:

Private jets are ready to take off
Our database contains over 6500 business jets of different configurations and production years, and the five classes below are the ones that actually appear in quotes for this route. The hourly rates are the starting levels we see on the UK to Istanbul and UK to Dubai sectors:
Turboprops
The class we use around the edges of a gateway booking rather than on the sector itself: feeding Luton or Birmingham from a regional field, and short hops once you are on the ground in Turkey or the Gulf.
Light jets
Comfortable on the shorter European legs and the usual answer when two or three people travel to meet a connection. On the Istanbul sector a light cabin is possible but tight, and most passengers move a class up.
Super-midsize
The natural choice for the Istanbul gateway: London to Istanbul in about three and a half hours with a full cabin, a proper hold for a fortnight of luggage, and no fuel stop from any British field.
Heavy jets
What the Dubai sector asks for. Nearly three thousand nautical miles on the southern corridor is seven hours in the air, and at that length the cabin, the beds and the galley stop being luxuries.
Ultra-long range
Booked when the Gulf is a waypoint rather than the destination, or when a delegation wants the whole party in one cabin. From Scotland to Dubai this class removes any question of a technical stop.

This is only a part of what is available. The aircraft that ends up on your contract is chosen for the sector and the date, and we can position it from a neighbouring country when nothing suitable is free in Britain.

Business aviation airports in Iran
The list below is kept for reference: these are the fields Iranian business aviation uses in ordinary times, and the ones a resumed service will return to first. The arrival airport is determined at the stage of price calculation. A private jet can land both at the airport of the capital and at small local airfields in the country of arrival (however, this depends on the model and characteristics of the aircraft). We will help you choose the most suitable option. Historically, most business flights within Iran used the following VIP terminals and airports:
- Ahvaz International Airport, ICAO - OIAW, IATA - AWZ,
- Tehran International Airport, ICAO - OIII, IATA - THR,
- Bandar Abbas International Airport, ICAO - OIKB, IATA - BND.
In ordinary times the traffic concentrates on Tehran, Ahvaz and Bandar Abbas, with the rest of the network reachable on demand. For the current position on any specific field, ask our consultants.

If the aircraft cannot land at a VIP specific terminal due to weather or technical conditions, the landing can be performed at the nearest airfields available for business aviation flights:

Types of flights
Our company provides all types of business flights. Due to a wide variety of jets, we can arrange:
- private flights;
- corporate flights;
- business class flights;
- concert tours;
- medical flights (with doctors and special equipment on board);
- tourist flights for large and small groups;
- sports charters for teams and coaching staff;
- combined flights (partly by business jet, and partly by helicopter);
- exclusive flights on luxury jets for businessmen, celebrities, and politicians;
- cargo flights, etc.
A flexible approach and a wide experience allow us to solve problems of any complexity. In 90% of cases, we manage to arrange urgent flights (on the day of application). But to be sure, we recommend you send a request at least 2-5 days before the desired date of departure.

Empty Legs
Another way to fly cheaper is to use Empty Legs. This service allows you to save on regular charter rates. As you know, part of the flights is one-way (for example, when the passenger flies from England to Istanbul). After the flight, the jet returns to its home base (for example, to London Farnborough airport) empty. Such flight is called “Empty Legs”. Empty leg flights can be as cheap as 50-75% off the standard charter price. This option is profitable for both the passengers and the charter companies. The clients can enjoy the services of business aviation at a very good price, while the airlines recoup part of the cost of fuel and jet maintenance.
It is almost impossible to find Empty Leg flights, as the information about them is stored in special databases available only to the aviation brokers and specialized companies. You should know that Empty Leg flights offer the same service as private jet charters. The passengers enjoy a 100% private jet flying experience. Services and flight conditions are discussed individually. We should note that our company cooperates with the world’s largest home bases, so we can offer our clients a wide choice of return flights. Just send a request to our manager who will help you find the best flight options. Please note that Empty Leg flights are sold out very quickly. To avoid such a problem, you can leave us a deposit, and we will contact you as soon as the flight of your choice becomes available. For additional information, check with the operators.

Jet Sharing
Today, Jet Sharing is just as popular as private jet charter. This service involves the joint rental of a business jet with other passengers (that is, the cost of the flight is divided equally between all passengers of a specific flight). This type of flight has become especially popular in the last few years. Many people like Jet Sharing because it allows you to enjoy all benefits of business aviation at favorable prices.
We should note that the number of passengers per Jet Sharing flight varies from 3 to 8, while the cost of the flight ranges from 1400 to 7100 euros (depending on the destination). This way, you can get a comfortable flight on a business jet (and maybe even meet new business partners) at a very good price. You can check out the schedule of Jet Sharing flights by filling in the online form or contacting our operators by phone or WhatsApp.
Main advantages of this service:
- All privileges of business aviation, including the use of the business aviation terminal and the check-in 30 minutes before the flight, are retained;
- You can also use the services of the VIP Lounge (included in the price of the flight);
- No baggage restrictions;
- Affordable price: jet sharing is much cheaper than private jet charter;
- Pets can be carried directly in the aircraft cabin.
Our consultants will be happy to help you choose the best flight.

Helicopter charter
On this itinerary helicopters work the two ends of the journey rather than the middle. In Britain they feed the departure airport, and at the gateways they cover the city transfers where traffic makes a car unreasonable. These are the legs we arrange most:
the pick-up that makes an early gateway departure bearable, avoiding the M25 entirely15 to 25 minutes
Levent, Besiktas and the Bosphorus hotels, against an hour or more in city trafficabout 15 minutes
the cross-Bosphorus transfer when the onward flight leaves from the Asian sideabout 20 minutes
for a meeting between two Gulf appointments in the same day30 to 40 minutes
the northern emirates, where the road is long and the pads are established25 to 40 minutes
The machines that work these routes
– Airbus H125 and Bell 407, the light singles behind most private transfers in the London area and precise into a confined site;
– Airbus H130 and Bell 429 for a family or a party of six, quieter in the cabin and the usual choice on the Gulf hops;
– Airbus H145 and AgustaWestland AW139 where twin engines are wanted over water or for a larger group, which on the Dubai to Abu Dhabi run is what most clients ask for.
Two points on rotary legs along this route
– Helipads at hotels and private ground are licensed individually in both Turkey and the Emirates, and want agreeing days in advance; where the destination is private, we start that process when the charter is booked;
– Gulf heat in the middle of the day cuts what a helicopter can lift, so morning and evening slots are the ones worth asking for between June and September.

Private jet flights to Iran - frequently asked questions
1Can I fly by private jet to Iran right now?
Not directly. The European safety agency advises against the Tehran flight information region at any altitude, war-risk insurers exclude it, and the UK ended its air services agreement with Iran in September 2024. Any one of the three would stop a charter; all three stand at once. What we fly today is the gateway routes to Istanbul and Dubai.
2How much does a private jet towards Iran cost?
To the gateways: from about 19,500 EUR one way from London to Istanbul on a super-midsize cabin, and from about 58,400 EUR from London to Dubai on a heavy jet, with the onward leg into Iran on a scheduled carrier booked separately. A direct charter price to Tehran cannot honestly be quoted while the suspension stands.
3When will private jet flights to Iran resume?
We do not predict dates. Three things need to change: the conflict zone bulletin has to be lifted, insurers have to restore cover, and a legal basis for UK-arranged flights has to exist again. We check the bulletins weekly and answer every enquiry against the position on that day.
4Can you route me to Tehran through a third country?
No, and it is worth understanding why: the restriction sits on the Iranian airspace and airports themselves, not on where the flight begins. What we can arrange is the charter to Istanbul or Dubai and the onward scheduled ticket in one booking, with the connection timed properly.
5Are the gateways themselves open?
Yes. Istanbul has operated normally throughout. Dubai reopened to civil aviation in June 2026 after the spring closures, and flights there now run on the southern corridor via Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which adds roughly half an hour against the old direct track.
